Guest Reviews
- Benjamin (3/5): Loud and has cold water only - The bed was good The fact they had a live band pumping noise until 11pm with zero communication that this would be occurring when booking was made. Intermittent hot water that is hot 1 minute and cold the next.
- Claire (3/5): Seedy overpriced hotel - do not recommend! - Looked and felt like 1980s sex-motel where you had to walk through entire pub to where u check in for model.
Awkward-100%
Expensive for what you get-85%
Not a nice experience To check in you need to walk through whole pub where all the people stare at you.
And I was awoken 10.05am for early checkout with banging in my door by room service telling me they would give me 10 minutes!
Terrible experience will not ever return or recommend.

- Allan (6/5): Great location for our needs, will stay again - Great location for our needs. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to railway station and shopping centre. No elevator. Rooms are a bit rundown and need some maintenance and renovation, particularly in the bathroom.
- Algis (4/5): - The music from downstairs could be heard loudly in the room. Couldnt sleep till the band stopped at midnight
- Algis (6/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): - The room was quiet and comfortable, and very conveniently located
- Ingrid (6/5): Ok for one or two nights - The staff and the location were fantastic Look it’s just a very old building with pretty jaded facilities -

- Chelsea (9/5): Cozy, friendly and great location - Very friendly and great location. The shower could've had more pressure but still got clean.
- samantha (8/5): Great little find - Close to shopping centre and banks, cinema and food court.train in walking distance. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.room is very basic and little run down but bed comfy. All pub facilities here bottle shop next door. Restaurant excellent and generous meals.worth it. There are steps to the rooms and in out of hotel. Hubby has hip problems so didn't help.

- Karen (1/5): Insecure rooms! - The location. My room was NOT secure. I was woken at 2:36am by someone unlocking & opening my door. Thankfully I had the chain lock on the door. How the hell does someone else have the ability to unlock another room's door!?! I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night due to feeling scared for the safety of myself & 2 daughters (16 & 9 years old). I then had to drive 5hrs to get home on minimal sleep. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!!
- Gay (5/5): Disappointed - Convenient The ceiling fan was filthy
We cleaned it & huge amount of dust fell to the floor.
We showed this to the cleaning lady & she said ‘they are cleaned weekly’
There was what looked like an iron burn in carpet.
The windows are in dire need
of paint & repair. We stay here infrequently due to area convenience
but the rooms all need updating.

- Thomas (10/5): -

- leonard (7/5): -
- Isaac (10/5): -
- Dawn (7/5): Good location with a great restaurant and friendly staff. - Location, food and drinks good. Bar staff and manager were all great. Shower in the bathroom needed cleaning. Fridge not working people, everything was wet, with wet spots from leaking on the floor.
- Julieanne (2/5): Not good and very distressing which should never ever have happened - I usually like it there but the experience was awful because I thought I had a twin share room also I’m in remission for aggressive breast cancer and needed a retreat with my adult son which was not fair because we had to share a bed plus the room was tiny Tried to change booking to another room they wouldn’t do it due to booking with you plus I’m cranky because I couldn’t cancel I thought you could as I read the fine print when booking then I couldn’t change it soo it was too much stress I’m not supposed to have any stress because of my cancer etc
- Lynn Su (2/5): - The location is pretty good and close to train station and shops. -The carpet looked really old and dirty stains.
-The room was worn down.
-The blanket has stains.
- It didn't give impression of hotel or inn at all.
- Caleb (8/5): -
- Julia (2/5): -

- Brett (10/5): Great value for money - I was surprised at how clean and equiped this hotel was. The check in was friendly and it was a comfortable bed.
- Carolyn (5/5): pub room ok for a budget stop - Had a nice pub with it the parking was difficult and it was karaoke night so it was loud.
- georgie (8/5): Always an easy place to stay. Cleaners needs to up there game. -
- Simon (7/5): Accessible, convenient stay. - Good location for catching the train to the city. Parking onsite was practical and affordable as well. Unfortunately when we went to leave on Tuesday morning there was a chain across the car park which was preventing us from leaving the car park. Most of the doors in the building were locked and it was only when I found a back door that was slightly ajar and found a worker inside that I started to get some resolution to the problem. He was not a employee of the Inn but rang someone and escorted me around to the car park, where another worker dropped the chain so we could leave.
I was given no information about the chain situation so I feel that was poor communication on the Inn"s part as they knew we only had a booking for one night and would be leaving that day.
- Peter (4/5): Uncomfortable - Location Tired and small
- Gordon (4/5): Never again thank you - Its proximity to railway station Old dingy room and construction work which began at 5:50am
- Cristi (4/5): - Good location. Dinner at pub was good. Free parking. Small outdated room. Worst shower ever. Couldn’t lock the window. Fan ticked. Wouldn’t be so bad if I hadn’t paid nearly $300 for the room!
- Ford (6/5): - Convenience to local stores, restaurants, hotels Not great quality for $195.00, one night
- Luke (9/5): Very good - The staff especially Jenny ..and the patrons ..all brilliant

- Karen (7/5): - Close to shops and station
- pete (5/5): Thought it was a little bit overpriced for what it was similar pricing. You get a lot better apartme - Not much Water pressure too low
Couldn’t leave the window open fly screen was broken
Very updated rooms
- GREG (7/5): Good spot for a short stay in the centre of Hornsby - Good location in the centre of Hornsby. Accommodation above a pub
- Richard (10/5): - Adequate
- Louisa (8/5): -
- Deborah (9/5): Excellent no problems, comfortable and affordable. - The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and even though older than the ritzy hotels it was very comfortable and accessible. Close to our venue (walking distance), Westfields shopping centre right next door. Nothing.
- Gazing (10/5): - Clean, convenient, very nice complimentary items
- Michael (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay very much. I really liked the old fashioned style of building, especially the tumbled bricks.
Food at the restaurant was great.
However, the beds were hard and uncomfortable. Getting the temperature right some precise fiddling.
- Susan (6/5): - I booked became it was close to Hornsby Station . Room itself very basic. Hotel bistro had very good steak special that night. All staff very helpful and friendly. I felt safe as a solo female traveller.
- Christa (3/5): Disappointing and not worth it - The location is great It was unclean, the property manager said ‘it’s not noisy here, I would know, I live here’ when in fact it was very noisy..
- David (8/5): -
- Megan (6/5): Convenient, clean, but very dated rooms and bathrooms. - Location Very steep narrow staircase to room, no lift available.
- Deon (8/5): -
- Ian (6/5): - Reasonably clean for older establishment. Some wear and tear but comfortable.
- Grace (2/5): Extremely over priced for room - Not much The accommodation was no bigger then a cell, very old and outdated , bathroom very old outdated, bed old , couldn’t shut bathroom window, one thin blanket on bed , another thin one in cupboard had to wear jacket , heater didn’t want to work , and just had to use safety chain as door lock was so hard to lock , didn’t feel safe
Was a decent breakfast left in room
- Wendy (6/5): Not one of the best rooms in the Inn. Other rooms appeared roomier. Staff were great and restaurant convenient and nice - Location close to Hornsby hospital and shops Cleanliness was lacking. Toilet wasn’t up to speed and we had to move the be away from wall for our access. A lot of dust under bed. Room is very small.
- Darryl (10/5): The weekend was great despite the weather outside, it was pouring rain overwise it was a great stay. - Everything was great . The Pillows were too soft I had to use 2 pillows instead of one.
- Amy (8/5): -
- F (8/5): The water pressure in the shower needs improving. Overall a good place to stay. - location excellent. In Room 3, the water pressure in the shower was very poor and difficult to regulate the hot and cold to get a good temperature to have a shower.
- Sharon (6/5): It was somewhere to sleep after a party - It was close to the event It’s very very small even booking a Felix room the bathroom is dirty & has a noisy door

- Graham (9/5): Excellent location, very good staff -
- Troy (3/5): Poor -
- Kylie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Lyell (7/5): Great location - Great location nice meals basic rooms good value . N/a
- Linda (8/5): Very good - The staff, cleanliness and location Photo did not represent the room we stayed in. Our room was very dated, and the tiny room just didn't meet my needs. Recovery following surgery.
- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Belinda (9/5): Hornsby Inn stay. - Room was clean. Very convenient location near Westfield and short walk to station. Good value.
- anna (4/5): - Only advantage was location in centre of town

Breakfast items provided in your room, for a DIY breakfast. Large shower and lots of hot water. The room was clean, but a fresh coat of paint would improve the overall feel of the room. No lift, old under powered air-conditioning unit.
