Bed was comfortable although the hotel was busy it was quiet The room was dated but had everything I needed for my short stay. There was a problem with recent water work, and the hotel refunded a portion of my room rental back to me, which I did not request but appreciated the concert for my comfort and enjoyable experience.

Daytime it was plus 20 or so, but by morning room was freezing 2)You have to pre-order breakfast, and options are very very limited. Hard boiled eggs only, no meat options and so on. Its not terrible but definitely not what someone would normally expect

• Tracy (9/5): Clean, comfortable stay but needs updating. - The kids loved that the beds were separate from the entrance. The beds were so comfortable and the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Had a very comfortable sleep. Blankets were plush and soft. Sheets had a stain and room needs updating. Ceiling was cracked and no heat in the bathroom but there was a mini split to keep the room comfortable.

I liked the retro vibe of the room. Bonus: It is right across the street from Mother Webb's Steak House.

• Sum Yung Guy (10/5): Excellent Bargain for the Price! - The hotel was well appointed, and the check-in was flawless. The bed was very comfortable, and it was priced reasonably. It was nice and quiet, staying in a room at the back of the hotel. Directly across the road was a wonderful steak restaurant, open until 10:00 pm. The free breakfast was handy and appreciated. Great hosts!

• FABIAN (8/5): Nice place, well located, excellent value - They upgraded our room at no cost. Everything is automated and super easy. I loved the experience. And a super plus, the restaurant (steak house) in front of it is amazing. More door locks - Maybe for Canadians is enough, but from people from other countries, we need to feel we have more locks in the door haha.

I assume the office staff are the owners; they were very welcoming and helpful. Ultimately though when I'm staying somewhere other than home it all comes down to the bed. The bed was new and very comfortable. Great pillows and clean sheets. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The motel itself might not be modern, but it’s always clean and comfortable. I go to school in Cape Breton and I am there three times per course. I love staying here because the price is good as well.

• Charlotte (7/5): We were only there for one night . We probably would stay here again. - Location was great, bed was very comfortable, happy to have a toaster, microwave and fridge . The owners were very helpful and professional. They really were concerned and helpful when because of the absolutely freezing outside temperatures, the heat pumps didn’t work . They however , had electric heat which worked perfectly to give warmth and comfort. Breakfast included a decent choice of items that they delivered to our door and we ate in our rooms. Because of the cold weather, the floors In Our room were too cold to walk on for any length of time and the parking lot was not plowed well. The only other issue was the electrical outlets were not working on one wall and the TV went off a few times and would y go back on until I waited a bit. Canadian Weather gives a lot of grief sometimes but the staff did what they could to make things right .
• Tania (9/5): Very nice and quiet stay - I liked my space. It was quiet. I liked that I could get my door’s code via text and check in with a link. I also ordered my breakfast and picked it up at the office fairly easy. It is a little outdated, but it didn’t affect the cleanliness of the room.
• John (5/5): You could have a very small room and a bigger price than you expected. - Not much The room was very small, but at least it was clean and had the essential facilities. My biggest problem was that the price, in U.S. currency, was about ten dollars higher than what was quoted when I booked it online. I decided not to argue with the management about that while I was there, but I want to warn anybody who might be reading this that this could be an issue for them.

• Paul (4/5): It's "adequate" with basics but overpriced for what it offers. I suggest to keep looking. - Convenient parking outside the unit's door. Large television. AC/heat pump worked well and was quiet. Comfortable bed. Unit's split-level layout was awkward and unusual. It certainly wouldn't work for anyone with mobility issues. The unit's lighting was inadequate. The unit's bed coverings were strange: a strip of fabric sewn across the bottom of each comforter was cheap "chic". The bathroom needed updating and the old blue enamel tub and torn flooring needs to be replaced. The complimentary breakfast was more like a self-serve takeout order: guests had to select food items the night before and then go to the office the next morning to pick up their tray of materials; small quantities of basic food in Styrofoam dishes that required guests to prepare themselves (boil, brew, microwave or toast) with flimsy plastic utensils with ONE napkin.

• Constance (9/5): Clean and spacious at a super price! We will be back. - The price is very reasonable and our room exceeded expectations with regards to comport and cleanliness- it was super clean. Check in was easy as was ordering and picking up of breakfast which was generous. Very helpful and friendly staff for reception and housekeeping. It was very convenient to have Mother Webb's across the street. The pride of ownership is obvious in every facet of the Coastl Inn. We will return- Thank you! Bottle opener was missing in our room.
