Darlene (10/5): Overall, we had an EXCELLENT stay, made especially memorable by the caring staff. - The staff at Hotel Mara are exceptionally friendly, helpful, and communicate very well in English. They consistently go out of their way to accommodate guests’ needs and make every effort to ensure a pleasant stay. The facilities in the room are excellent, and having a water dispenser available at reception is a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. A special mention goes to Omit and Mina, who were particularly attentive and kind. I was especially touched by how warm, caring, and affectionate they were with our little 2.9 kg furry baby. It truly made our experience even more memorable. There was a slight smell in the room when we first arrived however, this was addressed immediately, and we were promptly offered a change of room, which we really appreciated, The new room on the top floor was comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, however the bedroom itself was slightly smaller. The situation was handled efficiently thanks to Omit. The rooms on the lower floors did not have this issue, and overall it seems like something that can be easily resolved with the use of air purifiers.

Abdallah (10/5): Perfect stay - The location is the best one. Staff also are good specially Ekin. He was very supportive. Room service is done on daily basis. We didn’t get our reserved room due to technical issues in air conditioning and we stayed one night in smaller room. But the remaining nights we stayed at another room similar to what we reserved.

Adrian (7/5): Despite the inconveniences, I would still recommend this hotel for its good value for money, very friendly staff, and ex - The location is excellent – very close to the metro, tram stations, and city center. The staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. Unfortunately, there were also some issues during my stay. The bed sheets were not changed throughout the entire week, and the cleaning service was very basic (mainly just emptying the bins – and even that was skipped the day before check-out). In the bathroom, the toilet seat was damaged, and the shower was leaking, so I had to put a towel on the floor to prevent flooding. The fridge in the room did not work at first, though it was replaced after I reported it. The walls were also very thin, so I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms late at night.

Robertas (10/5): My stay was highly enjoyable thanks to the hotel's convenient location and the exceptionally helpful and proactive s - The property is in a good location, close to public transport, small supermarkets and not far from the main tourist attractions. It's also near great bars and restaurants with various types of cuisine. The staff were very helpful whenever I needed them, especially a guy named Ekim. He went the extra mile, texting me on WhatsApp at the start of each of his shifts to ask if I had any questions or requests.

La stanza era quella standard giusta per un soggiorno di pochi giorni. Consiglio alla direzione di curare la manutenzione soprattutto nel bagno (soffione doccia,water).
Mirna (8/5): - The location and prices are amazing, the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms has no soundproofing system, we could hear everything happening in the room next to us. When we first came the bathrooms were not well cleaned and the bedsheets seemed to have been used before we came.
Zeeshan (2/5): - We booked a suite, but upon arrival we were given a small standard room instead. The staff told us this was temporary and that we would be moved to the suite the next day. However, despite this assurance, we were kept in the same small room and the suite was never provided as promised. This was disappointing, especially after paying for and specifically booking a suite. If there are availability issues, this should be communicated clearly in advance, and guests should not be charged or misled about room types. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations due to this issue.

Fikk flere meldinger under oppholdet fra Ekin med spørsmålet m om jeg har det bra og om det er noe jeg trengte. Du kan alltid ringe til resepsjon og be om vann/te/sukker så får du det levert. Når r det var mye bråk inne på rommet først pga. naboer så pga. ventilasjon fra nabo restaurant, ble jeg flyttet til et annet rom, hvor jeg kunne sove i fred. Det setter jeg pris på. Veldig tynne vegger, derfor kan det være lytt både fra naboer og/eller gangen.

RAJA KAMARIAH (10/5): Highly recommended - Near to Taksim, just A few steps to Istiklal Streer, closed to Sok (grocery) and cafe .. almost near to public transport F1 to Kabatas & Ferry, Metro, busses and taksi. Toilet bidet not fixed.

James (6/5): A generous 6/10 - I really liked the location. Really close to all the action. In between Taksim Square and Galata Tower. A short walk to many nice spots and close to transport for those sites a little further away. The staff were amazing. Couldn't fault them. Friendly, helpful, polite. The rooms are not as they appear in the photos. They are small and not as modern. The hotel definitely needs renovations. The first room I was assigned, had black mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. The room was so small that I couldn't open up my large suitcase. The second room I was assigned was better however the bathroom was so small that the toilet door only opened half way due to the toilet behind it. Also don't expect a view from your room. There is a window however, it looks out on the brick wall of the building next door. Very little natural light on the lower levels.
Ersan (2/5): - Die Lage des Hotels war wirklich gut und zentral. Leider entsprach das Zimmer jedoch nicht unseren Erwartungen. Für zwei Personen war es sehr klein, und es gab nur ein Fenster, das direkt in den Gang zeigte – dadurch fehlte es an Privatsphäre und Tageslicht. Ein Zimmerwechsel wäre nur gegen Aufpreis möglich gewesen. Auch die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Haare wurden offensichtlich nicht entfernt, und insgesamt wirkte das Zimmer nicht gut gereinigt. Zusätzlich gab es Probleme beim Duschen, da es sehr lange dauerte, bis warmes Wasser verfügbar war. Zudem war die Geräuschdämmung sehr schlecht. Man konnte praktisch alles aus dem Zimmer nebenan hören, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich beeinträchtigt hat. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt daher leider nicht zufriedenstellend
Sirin (1/5): Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr enttäuschend – trotz guter Lage hat nichts den Erwartungen entsprochen. - Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich hervorragend - sehr zentral und ideal, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Das ist allerdings auch der einzige positive Punkt. Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt enttäuschend. Das ursprünglich gebuchte Doppelzimmer sollte laut Beschreibung 25 m² groß sein, aber dieser Wert wurde ganz offensichtlich inklusive Badezimmer angegeben. Dadurch wirkte das Zimmer viel kleiner als auf den Fotos dargestellt - auf den Bildern erschienen die Räume deutlich großzügiger, was in der Realität nicht der Fall war. Das Zimmer war extrem eng, sodass man sich kaum frei bewegen konnte. Auch die Sauberkeit war unzureichend. Obwohl es sich um meine eigenen Haare handelte, lagen sie tagelang auf dem Boden, ohne dass gereinigt wurde. Die Hand- und Badetücher haben unangenehm gerochen, und beim Check-in roch das Zimmer sehr stark nach Chlor. Beim Duschen musste man zudem erst eine Weile warten, bis warmes Wasser kam. Zusätzlich war das Hotelpersonal leider unfreundlich und wenig hilfsbereit. Insgesamt entspricht das Hotel nicht dem, was man von einem Aufenthalt dieser Kategorie erwarten würde.

Las suites tenían mucho menos de 35 y de 30 metros cuadrados como pone Booking. Decía impuestos incluidos pero había un cargo si no se pagaba con billetes. No hay terraza como dice Booking. No hay balcón como dice Booking. No me dieron una factura o recibo legal para pedir un reembolso a la aerolínea. Pese a que Booking decía impuestos incluidos me pedían un cargo por hacer un recibo y aunque acepté no me la hicieron y me perjudicaron el hotel y Booking por tres noches a 150 euros.

Le personnels est agréable et la chambre comme j’aime. C’est ma troisième fois que j’ étais à l’hôtel MARA et j’étais la chambre 603 que je vais redemander lors de mon prochain voyage à Istanbul Rien., pour moi tout étais parfait

Das Personal war Sehr freundlich. Besonders Herr Ekin, er hat uns bei jeder Sache geholfen bzw wenn wir fragen unterwegs hatten habe ich mich bei ihm gemeldet und sofort antworten bekommen

Daniil (9/5): Отличный вариант для активных и экономных путешественников! - Расположение - 10/10 До Истикляль буквально два шага. Очень удобно добираться до метро, из достопримечательностей - недалеко Галатская башня. Минутах в 10 есть супермаркет с большим ассортиментом. Рядом великое множество всяких заведений, что актуально - в этой гостинице нет завтрака. Также рядом можно найти бары и разные развлечения - лично я советую бар "Yuri Gagarin", он совсем недалеко, и там дешевле, чем на самом Истикляль. Персонал чуткий, стараются угодить, всегда с радостью помогут и подскажут. Днем дежурит русскоговорящая девушка, так что и со слабым английским тоже можно, в теории, решить любой вопрос. Гостиница недорогая, так что советую активным туристам, которые много передвигаются и приходят в номер только поспать ночью. Хороший душ, удобная большая кровать. Есть телевизор, кондиционер, небольшой холодильник. В таком расположении гостиницы есть и минус - довольно сложно, должно быть, уберечь номера от тараканов - в этом районе их можно увидеть на улицах. Мы наткнулись на два мертвых таракана (одного увидели в середине поездки, и его убрали в тот же день, второй труп обнаружился во время отъезда под чемоданом. Повторюсь, оба раза "незваные гости" были уже мертвы - следовательно, номера обрабатывают, то есть о проблеме знают и принимают меры. Лично мне, высокому мужчине, в номере было немного тесно - нам попался не очень большой, но ванная комната достаточно просторная. В нашем номере вид из окна был на стену, но на 6ом этаже есть небольшая терраса, на которой есть пара столиков и стульев. Фен работал не очень хорошо, но он был и с его помощью можно было просушиться. Надеюсь, мой отзыв поможет кому-то!

Üregil (10/5): Mükemmel bir deneyim. - Oteldeki herşey ihtiyaçlara göre özenle seçilmiş, odalar da aynı şekilde oldukça konforluydu. İstiklal caddesi üzerinde bütün ulaşım imkanlarına sadece 10 dakika uzaklıkta. Bütün çalışanlara teşekkür ediyorum. Özellikle Ali Haydar bey çok yardımcı oldu. ☺️ Herşey çok güzeldi.
