- Lolita (6/5): - The motel was on the river & had a great deck for viewing. The person checking us in was attentive. The room was clean. However, in this tech age you need more electrical outlets. Also, new outlets! The bathroom appears to have been added. Thus the shower was so small you couldn’t turn around & there was no light.

- Suzan R (10/5): Great location but otherwise small - I chose this hotel because of its location with deck seating overlooking the Wind River. That part was perfect! We also enjoyed walking to town, which was close and convenient. The room was adequate but the bathroom was uncomfortably laid out. My husband and I are fairly regular sized people and had to squeeze between the sink and small shower to access the toilet. Anyone even slightly overweight wouldn't fit! The walls were thin and though our neighbors were quiet, we could hear almost everything.

The manager worked very hard to make sure all was well. Very accommodating. I love pulling up 4 feet from our front door! Reasonable rates for this Jackson Hole region! Close to all the action in Dubois!

- emurph655 (10/5): - We loved this little motel and it’s deck overlooking the Wind River! We sat out there mornings and evenings, seeing swallows catching bugs and deer walking up the river. It’s an old style, quaint motel, and the guy who’s always in the office, Adarsh, is extremely helpful and goes out of his way to help in any way. Rooms are very clean with updated showers. It’s a great place to stay when visiting the adorable town of Dubois and the gorgeous Wind River Valley—or Tetons/ Yellowstone just over the pass.

- Bradley (4/5): - Our premiere room, barely had enough space for the king bed. We seem to be the only people even staying at the hotel since we were the only car in the parking lot very disappointed.
- Gary (6/5): - The decks along the river were the key to me renting a room here. They were very nice. The tv programming was very good. The bathroom was ok except for the shower head. The very worst thing was desk clerk had me write my credit card details on a sheet of paper. That would have been a deal breaker most of the time but we were late getting in and I didn’t want to look for another room. I probably won’t be staying in Dubois again. Anyway, I’ll be watching my credit card billing closely.

We arrived in town late and were having trouble finding a room when we came upon a vacancy sign. Glad we stopped! It wasn’t the Hilton, but served our needs! I would stay there again!

- MaryDawn (10/5): Loved the deck over the Wind River!! - This is a cute little motel, with cabin like rooms. Loved the deck out back over the river. Very small parking lot. The did offer water, and several complimentary bathroom items. The biggest thing is they don’t have A/C. The did have a fan on with windows open when we arrived. And it did cool off to 65 degrees over night, but the room was pretty warm. Very small room and super small bathroom. Overall it’s a nice homey place and I’d stay again when it’s cooler. Also the WiFi worked great, but technology has not made its way this town. 3G phone service😃

Spoke to Tammy and she would not honor their cancellation policy and refused to issue credit. We acted in good faith and were extremely disappointed that they did not.

Located right on the Wind River, with seating area overlooking the river. It is the perfect stop in a wonderful setting to or from Yellowstone and the Tetons, or just hanging out in Dubois - an authentic, friendly Wyoming mountain town with many attractions. You will enjoy your stay.

- Terri12345 (10/5): BEST PLACE TO STAY - This has got to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The owners are so friendly & so helpful. The rooms are very clean, their kits for your stay include. Shampoo, Conditioner, lotion, shower gel, soap also have a little shaving kit, a dental kit, Q-tips, cotton balls, & coffee. It's right on the river. Their linens are high dollar & so soft. I can't even begin to tell you about the decor. If your looking for a great place to stay, look no further. Loved our visit.

- margeleggio (10/5): Cozy cabin - We stopped for a quick overnight on our way to Grand Teton National park. The cabin was super clean and cozy. The Hostess was so sweet and accommodating! We didn’t get a chance to see the area because of our timing ( late arrival and left early) but it looks like a nice area to check out. We will make this our stop on our next trip.
- Gary (8/5): - Riverside one queen bed cabin tiny but nice. Great amenities in room. Bathroom tiny. Bed very comfy, bedding and linens fabulously soft and comfy. Owners friendly. My only criticism is the sign on the gun shop door saying if you voted for Biden, your business wasn't wanted. I guess they took my$165 though. I think that's in poor taste for a business owner. Had I seen that first I probably would have looked elsewhere for a room! The decks beside the river are lovely. You can access the decks from any unit so don't worry about booking one that states it is next to the river.

No A/C but windows opened & with fan that was provided it was really comfortable. Family owned, owners lived onsite.

- Vacationnthree (10/5): Cute CLEAN room, great owners! - Adorable hotel in an adorable little town! Loved staying here! Our room was a little on the tight side, but we would definitely stay here again! We didn't get a room with the river view, but there is a really nice deck area that has a few tables and chairs set up so you can sit and enjoy the river and the view. The bed, pillows and shower were all very comfortable! From what we understood there wasn't much for breakfast, the owner said there were granola bars and coffee in the office. If you have the opportunity to walk around town we highly suggest you do. Dubois is a great little town, I think you'll fall in love with it like we did.

I went to the reception to ask for some ice' the owner was incredibly rude to me. He asked me why I didn't go to the convenient store to get ice? He aggressively took out a bag of ice. I had my two daughters with me, who were looking at his taxidermy and slightly patting it at the bottom. He shouted at them to stop it. Soooooo rude! Very pricy for what you get. The deck outside is nice...but the sun is annoying in the afternoon.

- Jentastic138 (6/5): Overpriced, owner is a nutbag - My family has a lot of old ties to Dubois and I’ve been here a lot, but 1st time staying here. My grandma used to work at this motel many years ago. We stayed for a few nights over the 4th, and it’s a cute enough place with a lovely deck overlooking the river. I know I WAY overpaid for the room. When I booked, it was before the Yellowstone flooding, and after that rates went down a lot. I prepaid and didn’t ask them to refund me anything (not sure they would have anyway.) The owner is absolutely off his rocker. When we were checking in, he was telling us about his family’s ancestry (partner is Irish, so that for some reason prompts people to tell us about their ancestry, lol). That’s all fine and friendly, but then he started talking about the “original aryans” and it got awkward. There’s a gun shop on the property, and a warning that if you voted democrat, you shouldn’t go in. We did anyway, because lol. My partner wanted to show me something he was thinking of buying (and very well may have purchased here, but we didn’t think it was appropriate to give this guy any more money). He was talking with another couple in the shop and joking about hunting dems, and how some other guy read his sign and was dumb enough to go in anyway. We were like “we need to go” and beelined it out of there. I expect lots of right-wing people in WY and that’s fine, but I’m telling you, this dude is off his rocker. Saw a for sale sign outside the place - I’d probably only stay again under new management if they sell it. Beware, be careful - especially if you’re POC, anything other than straight, or give off any signals that you’re not Trump-obsessed.
- jimrJ3122CA (4/5): Disappointed in Dubois - Nice setting, but expensive rooms, zero amenities, prison-quality mattresses, poor WiFi, paper thin walls. Equivalent, more reasonable lodging nearby. Worth noting: property is currently for sale and they had vacancies when few other places in town did. Lesson learned.

- Relax306027 (2/5): Mouse in room - Went to bed woke up to a mouse running around in garbage can. My husband tried to catch it, ran under the bed and under baseboard. The office is closed and went into truck while my husband loaded up our stuff and we left. I have contacted the lady that owns the place and she tells me we don’t have mice. She said she checked the room and set a trap and no mice and her comment maybe u brought it with you. I don’t pay $230 a night to have a mouse running around in my room. We usually stay at more expensive rooms so u won’t have pest issues. Never have we had to deal with this and more less they don’t believe u. Horrible customer service All she had to do was give us some kind of credit and we would of been happy. Nothing
- joshuadH8892CR (10/5): Hidden Gem in Dubois - The Trails End is a perfect stop for any journey around the area. They utilize the natural beauty of the river with a beautiful outdoor patio area. The room was clean, comfortable and well serviced. Scott and his wife Tammy are great people with excellent knowledge of the area and outdoor activities. You won't find more friendly and accommodating lodging in Wyoming. Don't forget to check out the gun shop! Scott is more knowledgeable about firearms and products than any chain or gun store you will find. Products in stock and priced fairly. Thanks for the amazing stay! We will definitely stop by when we are in the area again.

- Amy (4/5): Gross. - If you like bugs, you'll love this place. There is no a/c, and it was super hot, so we had to have the windows open during the day, and there were bugs EVERYWHERE in our rooms. I had to close the windows at night because of this and the noise, so I was hot all night, and had bugs crawling on me. So basically I paid a lot of money to feel like i was camping. I can imagine it might be cute in the winter without the bugs and with some heat, but I'll never be back. Disgusting.

Room 9 had private door access to the deck - and every single amenity was available: comfy Robes, toiletries, fluffy towels, fridge, microwave, even wine glasses were left for us! Rustic- but oh so comfy beds and linens- and the beautiful deck was the perfect place to relax with a beverage and friends along side the river! If we ever get back through that area- we will stay here again!

- 696ginnyd (8/5): Cozy and Rustic - We stayed at the The Trail's End for one night while taking a short vacation. For an older motel, it is very well maintained and clean. There aren't a lot of amenities as in larger, chain hotels but we found our room to be very comfortable. There are two lovely decks overlooking the Wind River where one can relax. The room was comfortable and cozy with a refrigerator, microwave and television. The property is close to downtown and close to a grocery store. The only negative was there was no air conditioning but it was a comfortable day and cooled off nicely at night. There was a fan in the room to move the air as well as having a nice cross breeze. We would definitely stay there again.
- sansa31 (4/5): Riverside is a plus - The rustic ,simple, clean cabins were fine . The doors slam so it’s a little loud . Everyone has access to the deck along the river so you don’t need to pay extra for a river view room because you mostly see the deck . Do not expect warm hospitality from the man at the front desk he’s too busy being angry then to be able to recommend a local restaurant . He has an insulting sign posted that is comical but says it all . Still , fine for a quick stop .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This motel is in a beautiful setting on the Wind River. It is an older vintage, small, clean rooms and very friendly and helpful staff/owners. We were pleased with our stay with one exception. The owner has a gun shop on the property displaying a sign stating that anyone who voted for Biden was NOT welcome there, that Biden supporters are “too stupid” to own guns. I don’t really care who he supported-but thought the angry sign was rude, unkind and judgmental.

- Anne (4/5): Overall nice stay - Comfortable cabin like room. A bit small but do-able. Was disappointed with a political sign we found on a door near Weight Room. It referenced ammunition, and who shouldn’t be allowed on the property if they voted or even supported a certain candidate.
- Darcey (10/5): - The cutest motel! We booked last minute after Backcountry camping & it was just what we needed. Tammy is so sweet & helpful as well. Great location, quiet & a cozy little stay. Dubois is also the cutest - even if you're stopping to get to Tetons & Yellowstone, I highly recommend walking around & checking out the shops, restaurants & beautiful views!

Folks who run it are first class. Accommodations were comfortable and pricewas reasonable. Access to town is good. Not sure how much more we could ask for.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Avoid if possible - The deck over the Wind River in the back of the facility is wonderful, but that is the only redeeming feature of this property. When I opened the door to the "non-smoking" room the room practically coughed and the smell of very stale smoke was evident. At the front desk, the folks who own the place were friendly and helpful, but made their feelings about "COVID believers" apparent, which made we wonder how well the room was cleaned. I would have moved, but the town was full and rooms were over the top expensive. I don't think I would have been so put off if the room rate hadn't been so high.
