The rooms were charming, clean and interesting but somewhat lacking in some basics like full sized beds, shampoo, lotions etc. Overall, a terrific place to stay and close to the top Douro wine region.

However, we would have appreciated having a kettle and tea and coffee facilities either in our room or in the sitting room that we were allocated. Whilst we really appreciated the beautiful breakfast that was offered in the morning, the whole place felt quite formal.
