Guest Reviews
- Brian (9/5): - Value
Location Washing machine inoperable
- Melissa (7/5): It was an ok stay. Phone didn’t work and the tv didn’t work - The price A little dirty
- Larry (8/5): Hotel Cuero Texas not bad for the price but definitely not great. - The exterior of the hotel was really nice! The property was very clean. The parking lot was well lit. The bed was very comfortable. The ac in the room worked well. What we got for the price of the room was a good value since we were only there to sleep and get dressed for our family function. The rooms need more attention as some of the items in the room appear dated or well used. The shower head had plenty of water pressure but the holes were plugged due to the water hardness which made the spray sparce. The tv was difficult to operate and there was no channel guide. The towels were very thin but clean. The toilet was loose. The exhaust fan in the restroom did not work.
- Daniel Perez (9/5): - Easy access to the rooms
- Kandi (2/5): it was just bad we ended up only staying the 1 night and stayed with family the next day - Outside looked nice smelt like smoke, had cigarette burn in blanket, heater didnt work
- AgentBrown (7/5): Clean rooms, friendly staff - good for budget traveler. - Location, rooms, beds clean, cleaned daily Previous stays had continental breakfast, no longer.
- Michael (7/5): Very good for the price. Repairs or upgrades are still needed. Will stay here again if needed in the future. - Wet reasonable for the quality of the room. Will stay here again. Most likely due to high oilfield traffic there is damage to tiles in the bathroom and texturing to the walls are starting to peel. Show heads could be replaced or upgraded.
- Rodolfo (3/5): Would not stay here again. - The price. Not ventilation in the bathroom, sheets had cigarette burn marks on them, water pressure was poor, there was no alternate locking device on the door beside the deadbolt, there was a used tissue or piece of toilet paper under my sheets.
- martinez (8/5): -
- Leo (4/5): About what a $50/night room should be. I should have known better. - Did not partake. Appeared to be cereal only. Linens were worn and blanket had a hole in it. There were no cups by the sink.
- martinez (10/5): -
- martinez (9/5): - Loved the decor
- Brian (3/5): Will find somewhere else to stay next time. - Price was good for the area. Check-in was smooth and the lady was nice. For the room: No water pressure in the sink, the bedding was stained, and the blinds were broken. The front office is not open in the morning, no breakfast which for the price is okay, but there isn't even coffee. Seems like the owner would rather stay in there own room doing whatever then open the front doors to their customers.
- Farrell (8/5): -
- Farrell (8/5): Ok for the price you pay -
- Gonzales (9/5): -
- RmorenoTX (3/5): - It was near where we wanted to be. The security latch on the door was gone. The sofa in the room was very worn. The wall above the sofa looked as though someone was throwing a knife at it. There was an open electrical box where a fixture had been removed. The tube was is poor shape and there was mold near the ceiling of the bathroom. I also smelled of cigarette smoke.
- Paul (4/5): -
- Roger (9/5): - The location and the staff were excellent Everything was nice
- ferry (7/5): -
- Juan (10/5): -
- Destiny (10/5): -
- Farrell (6/5): Ok - The room was clean and the bed & the pillows were comfy. I like that it is pet friendly. Couldn't adjust the AC temp. It stayed on 61 which was way too cold. Kept having to turn it off and on throughout the night. The blinds, door latch, and toilet seat were broken.
- Robert (6/5): - The location and pet friendly The noise between 9 and 10pm and 5 and 6am
- Crystal (10/5): - It was ok. Ice machine didn’t work. There light around the door heading outside.
- Juan (10/5): Muy Lindo el lugar - Todo Nada
- Jared (10/5): - Clean rooms great staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The photos online are very misleading, it shows to be a very nice place online but when we got there it was not so nice, 1st I booked a king room & was given a double; there was only one of the three lights working, the cleaning of the sink/mirror wasn't done very well, the restroom needs repairs the toilet was wobbly, there was a cigarette burn on one of the beds. It was not what we expected because of what it shows to be like online. I took a video of the toilet but not able to attach it.
- Jessica (7/5): - The price was fair. And the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't ready on time. Vending machines didn't work.
- Rosa (2/5): - The TV wifi never came up. Had to use my Ipad to watch TV. No breakfast
- alexis (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Juan (10/5): -
- Eusevio (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cynthia (10/5): - Very clean room…. Very friendly. Been here twice and will continue to book with them.
- Terri (2/5): - Mold on bathroom ceiling, exposed wiring above mirror, extremely leaky faucet in the tub/shower, toilet not completely fastened to the floor and when you turned on the a/c it smelled like wet pets
- Cynthia (10/5): Excellent place - Room was very clean. Check in was fast and easy. Definitely recommend and will be staying there next time.
- Wanda (6/5): .missing a few things. - No breakfast. (Dry cereal only) and door was still locked to eating area at 7:50 am. Fan in bathroom didn't work.
- lori (6/5): Low cost, bare minimum amenities - Female clerk very friendly but no remote in room. Had to go get from office. Bare minimum thin towels and 5 boxed microwaves in room. Given coffee but then no coffee maker in room. Owner or manager yelled at me for using short planter pot with grey dirt as ashtray. Not a pleasant man at all. Had to use parking lot as many others for cig disposal. Unkemp grass and overall dirty appearance of grounds. Will not stay here again.
- Lifre (6/5): Pleasant - Location Room very musty smelling. Differently need to air them out when been closed up awhile.
Bed little too firm for me.
- Holly (10/5): Business - It's just another business trip selling books in Cuero; I used this place last year, and it fits the needs for the trip.
- Miguel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (5/5): Passable - Easy to find The clerk was a little rude over a miss understanding
- Stephanie (6/5): Not happy - The outside of the building and the grounds. Toilet paper was all stained, was not worth the 84 dollars I paid. Stains on the sheets. Rusted refrigerator. Only 1 pillow on one bed. Missing bulbs to the light at the bathroom sink. The toilet paper made me sick, I took it to the office and showed them. I have been unhappy with my bookings so far except 2 bookings. Nasty dirty rooms.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Tee (5/5): Passable - Sometimes breakfast in the morning. Nice and respectful when u do service.. I don't know what happened the other night when I stayed housekeeping telling them that someone was messing with they're equipment she saw someone it doesn't mean it was coming from my room i don't understand it was a misunderstanding and I didn't have anything to do with that. I was alone by myself.. I never had complaints I been coming this place and feel comfortable at times and relax.. I'm a good nice person I don't do trouble. I would like to feel comfortable when I stayed.. I don't like when the housekeeper don't knock really I tell her staying another night sometimes. and she calls the office to make sure if I'm lying or not .. either I go to the office to make a payment for another night or I do a payment online.. I make sure I make a payment or contact the property . I would like to feel comfortable safe when i do service there. But everything is ok ..
- Tee (7/5): Good - It was ok..
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Selene (9/5): Clean, comfortable place to sleep - Clean rooms. Quiet area. Laundry room was out of service. However there is a public laundry mat outside
- Janessa (1/5): Don’t stay here THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE DUMP THE MAN LIES ITS A DRUGDEN - I paid in advance to stay at this awful place then I paid 20 extra $ to get a 1 hour from 11 to 12 check out this is before I saw the room It was disgusting to say the very least it smelled of stale smoke the linens were filthy no clean towels dirty sheets We didn’t even stay the night That’s how horrible it was It was so disgusting I left and drove across the street to pay more money to stay an actual nice place that actually has breakfast in the morning that doesn’t lie about it to get you to pay to stay Patel was the man that refused to at least refund the 20 he just charged for an hour I will be relentless do not stay here. It’s a lie and it’s a disgusting place with roaches and stale smoke.
- Robert (6/5): - The staff was very friendly. The room smelled musky when I first arrived. The place was advertised as having a continental breakfast, but there was not. I noticed that my smoke detector for my room was missi as well.
- Janelle (10/5): - Excellent and comfortable Quiet Relaxing stay
- Miguel (7/5): Good -
- Jason (10/5): I will stay there again - Every thing I like it
- Patrick (7/5): Good -
- kimberlygI6944TG (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - My stay was on 11/2/24 - 11/3/24 and it was horrible at Hotel Texas. I have reported this business to all government agencies within the state of Texas and Federal. We experienced price gouging, and our room has life threatening hazards. The daytime manager on Sunday 11/3 at checkout was harassing us to leave at 10AM due to the Fall time change. The night manager the night before actually advised us 11:30AM is our check out. This business false advertised free pool and breakfast accommodations. We were told by the nighttime manager that pool is available at Noon, but our checkout was 11:30 AM. The morning of 11/3/24, we called the front desk several hours before checking out asking what time the complimentary breakfast starts. He yelled once again and said, "no free breakfast here" and hung up abruptly. At 10 AM he sent a Hispanic housekeeping lady over to get us out. The housekeeper wanted to cry and said how mean and evil he was to her and the guests. My family told the housekeeper to quit and work across the street at the Holiday Inn which we will stay the next time we visit Cuero, which is often. My room# 141 has wires exposed and mold on the ceilings. The rooms are dark with only one desk lamp. The exposed wires in the ceilings were either from a missing smoke detector or a ceiling light. We were supposed to be charged $55 plus tax. We were charged $84.75, and the extra cost was service fees is what the front desk male advised. I will get a refund by law enforcement. The Hotel knows my phone number because that is all they wanted to book the room. No signed contracts or receipt given at check in. There are many hotels nearby so please DO NOT STAY here.
- Rosa (10/5): - Beds were comfortable.
- Jesus (8/5): Nice - Clean, good service from staff
- John (8/5): - It was nice, room was not completely cleaned and dumpsters in a weird place!
- Mr. (8/5): - I booked a room to relax and be able to watch Sunday football and a key Playoff Baseball game. Unfortunately the TV is only Direct TV cable and although there were a good selection of channels. I was unable to watch any football or the baseball game. Extremely disappointing!!
- Crystal (10/5): - Great price and clean room.
- James (10/5): - Felt like i got a great deal i likely wouldnt get anywhere else. Any minor complaint i can think of feels like i have to exaggerate just to make a big deal, and there wasnt anything i would complain about. Would stay again if in this area, for sure!
- Matthew (2/5): - They didn't let me check in they were rude and very unfriendly.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Dog friendly! Great deal’
- Gerald (5/5): Passable -
- Bonny (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - Very Comfy! Excellent level of cleanliness for the price! Having said that there were a few cosmetic things wrong but nothing that made it less comfortable. The management and cleaning staff were friendly and accommodating! The continental breakfast was bare bones but it was provided. The value for the price was excellent!
- Yana (5/5): Disappointed - Close to downtown Cuero The tv only had 7 Chanel’s. The remote did not work with the tv. When when we called and spoke with the owner he to ask him to look at our TV. He would just hang up and dismiss the situation. Friday my boyfriend went and the owner still dismissed the Tv situation. I went to talk to the owner Sunday after he yelled and hung up on me. Upon me arriving to the front desk I spoke with his wife. I explained the situation of the tv. Which she didn’t believe but was kind. She came to the room with the towels, toliet paper and also to look at the tv. When the owners wife looked at the tv she realized we were core t that there was only 7 channels and that she had to get a different set of remotes to fix our tv. When she came back we showed her with the new remotes how to fix it and you apologized for husbands behavior again. We went almost entire trip without tv and towels for bathing. Which I bought towel s from the store. Also we had planned to use the pool and Bar B Que area for visiting with relatives. The pool was green with Algae and the pit area was covered in flies due to the trash was overflowing. The ice machine wouldn’t produce Ice So we had to purchase that as well and meet with family at a local park.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The office was eager to please! But the up keep is lacking!! AC doesn’t cool very well.Tv didn’t work, lock on door didn’t work, repairs on shower wall not finished. Bedding looked dirty. Didn’t make you want to climb in! Just need some fixing and freshing up!
- Caleb (8/5): - Wasnt the right place for me. Went back to my other hotel
- Roman (10/5): Visiting family - It was awesome place !! Highly recommended There is nothing to dislike the property
- Marcos (9/5): in all great. - The Location was very close to our Daughter home. we did not have any ice buckets.
- Williams (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (2/5): - Toilet didn’t have a cover .walls in bathroom looked like they had poop on them ..bathroom door was rotted …
Sink was dirty and didn’t have a stopper!!!
Rust on everything …
Breakfast consisted of muffins in a bag and instant coffee
- Amanda (10/5): - The room was very clean and didn’t smell musky
The bed was super comfortable with nice clean liens. I would recommend any of my friends or family to stay . 😊👍
- Randy (10/5): Exceptional -
- barrett (8/5): Hotel Texas cuero - We were there for a family hunting trip and stayed here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The front desk person was very accomodating and our stay was very pleasant.
- Norma (10/5): - Muy limpio los cuartos
- William E (6/5): only staying here for the price and location - Was not as good as last year, Roof was being redone, and breakfast was scarce and minimal. It did not seem as hospitable as last time.
- Linda (2/5): - It stated on the website that there was a pool and hot tub. The pool was green and I was told they got rid of the hot tub a year ago. The parking area was full of potholes and grass was coming through every crack. I told them I was not staying based on this and they said the would have to charge me. I told them I would go take a picture of their nasty green pool and send that to my credit card company then.
- James (2/5): - I went to extend three more days on Thursday afternoon , the desk clerk said fine . I said let me pay with my credit card . She said now problem. She had all my cards on file , I would just have to move to a different room with two beds. I said ok. She said come by in the morning and she would give me the key to the new room. Friday morning at 10 am, I go to the desk and the man tells me there are no rooms. I work nights at the hospital in Cuero and I had no place to sleep locally. Very bad management and low water pressure in the shower and sink. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for my dog.
- Cailyn (10/5): - Would definitely stay here again! The rooms are spacious with a kitchen, fridge, table and barstools. It’s very quiet and the rooms were clean.
- Monica (8/5): - Nice area but the cleanness of the room wasn't the best
- Hilary (10/5): My. Stay was awesome I’m looking forward for another one soon - I didn’t have breakfast the bed was super comfortable I overslept for breakfast the rooms were clean I was impressed with the restroom the tub is the first thing I look at
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Audrey (10/5): - Everything is awesome & quite
- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (8/5): Very good value, close to the family reunion we attended. Lovely manager. - This hotel used to have a lavish hot breakfast back when it was busy with the oil and gas business. The night we were there, it appeared only five rooms were occupied. We paid only about half as much as four years ago, so the sparse cold breakfast wasn’t surprising. The room was a very good value! The manager was very friendly and accommodating. It’s just sad that business seems to have dropped off. I mean, it was nice having a lovely pool to ourselves, but I fear the place may be operating in the red.
- Molina (8/5): Very good -
- Carra (2/5): Poor value and quality for price paid - Don’t trust the pictures or reviews. This place must be under new management. Not safe here, at all. Dirty, moldy, poor lighting. Broken items in room, room not cleaned, extreme sanitation issues, continental breakfast not provided. Room had horrid smell due to mold and leak from fridge. Bathroom had dirty handprints on wall, blood on shower curtain, no tv remote, broken blinds, and nails coming up in carpet. Management unfriendly, unprofessional, rude, and unavailable. Convenient language barrier they use when they don’t want to help you. Was promised half refund back for 1 night stay, and they never did. Called and filed dispute to no end in response or resolution. Spend the extra dollars for a nicer hotel (recognized name) in this area. Terrible experience we had.
- Rachel (6/5): - The refrigerator did not work, and the air conditioner wasn’t cold
- Daniel (5/5): Passable - Location Room, breakfast
- Mcnary (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (4/5): - Girl at check in was awesome. Sink faucet had water pouring out obviously maids didn’t report it or didn’t clean it. Lady on check out was rude when I tried to tell her about it
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gteat Nights Stay - Great nights stay. Bed was comfy. The room and property were very clean.
- Sgt (10/5): Exceptional - Quite and Pet Friendly NA
- Jeff (10/5): awesome - nice employees nothin
- Sgt (10/5): Exceptional - Always clean rooms and quiet 🤫 place to stay Beds were too tall in height but comfortable
- Anonymous (5/5): place has good potential, needs a better staff - the furniture was great club house was closed for breakfast. nothing was available. had to ring the night bell at 9am, no coffee, only syrup in the juice machine, yogurt was bad. cleaning lady came into our room in announced at 10 am check out was 11am
- R Elizabeth (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Very efficient. Nice staff.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
