Guest Reviews
- Janice (9/5): Excellent service - Food is excellent
- Miranda (1/5): Rubbish - Nothing The rude staff and even though we had a reservation they refused us to stay there as they had a private booking
- Sheila (8/5): The stay was good - The breakfast was brilliant and the restaurant was done up new table and chairs also the location was nice The chalets need updating
- Cindy (7/5): -
- Howard (5/5): Sand bay rooms - Entertainment very good Stayed here many times room's always very good. This time even though site was quiet they put us in one of the furthest away from facilities rooms available. Room size very small and crowded couldn't fully open toilet door but worst of all no window or fan whatsoever in room. Very dark and warm with no chance of opening a,window for fresh air. Usually get a comment about 'Oh" you booked through Booking.com. This time we felt penalised for doing so. Have used you many times but never felt this. Love Sand bay normally but are seriously considering ever going again especially with Booking. com sorry but feel very strongly about this.
- Oakey (6/5): - Piece and quite The food very poor not like it used to be
- Sharon (8/5): - Meals and entertainment Some guests too noisy outside room
- Helen (8/5): -
- Anne (8/5): -
- Joy (10/5): Excellent - We were given the same room as booked for the Kings of Rock&Roll weekend so didn’t have to change rooms which was excellent for us .
Thank you None
- John (5/5): The price was reasonable, entertainment was fair, food was like you could get in a cafe, would we come again NO. - The accommodation had mould inside of the window, there was no hanging hooks for coats, there was no seats , so you had to sit on the bed. No where to wipe your feet, so any dirt on shoes was going onto the carpet!.
- Peter (9/5): -
- Stuart (9/5): -
- rachel (10/5): Perfect get away, everything you need including an indoor heated swimming pool - everything...excellent food always hot with great choices, room comfy and clean, all on one level no steps in the whole site. nothing could be improved
- Barbara (7/5): - Area and price Arrangements for queuing at meal time
- Steven (9/5): Over the moon👍 - Room was convertible, tea coffee making facility, bath towels soap supplied. Food was really good as well as all the staff, entertainment was excellent. Could have done with a bit more clothes hanging space.
- David (6/5): Really let down at meal times, poor service - I asked when booked if possible for a shower because of our age and they provided us with one Breakfast and teatime, wasn't very good, breakfast there was no bread for toast, asked several staff, other people asked as well , and the one day we waited nearly half an hour for them to bring frozen bread out, this problem was all the time we stayed, a couple of days no sugar, food on counter not topped up regularly, and staff miserable, teatime on the Tuesday less than a hour into the meal time the pie had ran out there no more, my partner ended up with just chips and veg which wasn't acceptable really poor service not happy at all.
- Maxine (5/5): shocked to see how people behave - the accommodation was fine no grumbles meal times queues were really bad and people using there hands to eat food while in the queue from the sweet section not very nice to see needs someone in charge.

- Pat (10/5): -
- Luke (1/5): - Easy access to places Room was newly painted before arrival and smells of paint which made us both ill with diarea and sickness and headaches as both disabled shower was not working only scalding hot water could not use paint over chairs which was still wet no fresh bedding for 3 days tv didn't work properly people came in room 2 mornings when door was locked as have a cpap mask on was not happy at all also had to leave deposit for extra pillows as only 2 no iron as advertised so will not go back very unhappy and still ill
- Karen (10/5): Great break for an unbelievable price! - Choice of meals always spot on. Lots of things to eat. Underneath my bed the lining material was all tacky and falling apart. Looked messy.
- Jenny (8/5): - Food good. Chalet warm
- mandy (10/5): - Definitely value for money menu , choice could not fault Staff were helpful.End timer was good on Saturday evening.Great band from the midlands Not very keen on the Duo that was on Sunday evening. However you get what you pay for The Duo couple that we're on on a Sunday evening. Entertainment.
- Daniel (4/5): Not the best the room and food let it down - Entertainment was ok Bed was awful food was good Saturday but Sunday lunch was very disappointing
- Howard (7/5): - Entertainment Food gas gone downhill
- Diane (5/5): Won't be returning - Location right on beach. Entertainment good. Site facilities adequate and parking ample. Staff at reception unhelpful. Drainage around site not good. Part of carpark having large puddles. Bathrooms very small and awkward to get in and out of. Only one bedside light available, so one twin bed unable to access it. Leak in bathroom not fixed despite maintenance spending time with it. Having to hire a further pillow as only one per person supplied. Queues very long for buffet as not set up properly at other end of restaurant. Not a good choice of food and no fruit apart from grapefruit and prunes anywhere on site. Tinned peaches for dessert.
- Deborah (7/5): Good location for our themed event - Convenient for the themed weekend The reception staff were positively hostile. Food very mediocre
- Beatrice (4/5): -
- Donna (9/5): Amazing food - Most of what was on offer Nothing really
- Joanne (10/5): Value for money and Lovely place to stay - The rooms was very nice and the food was outstanding The lady on reception could be more friendly what a grumpy sod need to sort her out
- edward (10/5): The door had no seal around it at all - The food, The price, The entertainment and the Staff The Chalet which we had needs new windows and door
- barbara (10/5): -
- adele (9/5): - The location was good , good food ,lovely breakfast and couldn't fault the entertainment expecially the blue coats show The challet wasn't up to much although the bathroom was clean also was disappointed that the pool wasn't open after I persificaly phoned and asked and they told me it was open
- Judy (2/5): Ok - People saving tables for the whole time it was in writing not to whitch ment people arrived get no seats very poor entertainment good Reserving should be stoped
- Marina (8/5): Friendly comfy lovely love it - Breakfast and Dinner was great ! Fresh tasty! lovely hard working staff, everyone !
Lady from Belarus, young man at the bar . Friendly man at the pool, so many staff to mention, young man with beard my Welsh neighbours :)))) taxi price and the direct phone line Liked everything: so these are suggestions only
Fan in room WiFi in room would be amazing
Possibility to leave luggage in emergency
Real butter for breakfast and cheese :))
Little blue budgie could do with a budgie friend to keep him company
- Janet (8/5): Food and entertainment good time to relax for us - All good breakfast and dinner good value for money lots of choice on breakfast and dinner bed Bed not so comfy Could feel springs in the bed
- Lynda (9/5): - We liked the quizes and bingo plus the karaoke being able to get the food yourself and there was always something to choose staff were very friendly so were back again in August. Not being able to get a seat in the ballroom because they were all reserved from about 5.oopm so we had to go in the Queen Vic and didn't see any of the shows.
- Nicola (9/5): Generally, the stay was very good and I would definitely book again. - The variety of food for breakfast and dinner was excellent and the entertainment was very good. It was great to see that the pool was open and the added bonus of the Jacuzzi and sauna which was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again. I was not impressed with card only payments and I had brought cash with me, so I was not at all happy with that. Prior warning may have helped, but I think all businesses should take cash too. Some rooms need redecorating and the first room we were placed in did not have a shower over the bath, but I was very pleased that we were moved to a room with a shower for better accessibility. All rooms should have a shower over the bath especially for clients with mobility issues.
- Keith (8/5): -
- Chris (2/5): Very disappointed food bland room smelt terrible was transferred to another not much better - Average no butter thin toast Quality of f
- Syllvia (7/5): - It was ok and could be updated It could do with more plug sockets in the chalets and on hot days could supply fans or have fan lights installed and not charge £10for extra pillows
- Arthur (9/5): It was magic week - Food and room up to expectations
Entertainment was good
Staff was very helpful and understanding An armchair in chalet
Everything else all ok
- Newman (5/5): - Food was good No shelter at bus stop
- Jacqueline (6/5): Overall a good stay , made new friends - Food times and variety very good. Manager ‘of the canteen, was lovely and very helpful with my disabled mom. We noticed on the last night we stayed that one of the sheets had not been changed before we arrived. I went to tuck it in at the bottom and it was covered in stains ( coffee or something) and it smelled. The place needed a Deep clean. The carpet stank and so did the curtains. I took photos if required.
The entertainment was ok but unfortunately every night was the same…country and western.
- Kevin (4/5): Awfully - Breakfast was good staff very hard working and pleasant The eating area
- Dennis (8/5): Good food and entertainment - Good value for money Bingo
- MRS OLIVE (10/5): -
- Hazel (7/5): Most enjoyable. Have booked for Christmas. - Both excellent I would have preferred a shower. We were allocated rooms with a bath.
- Stephen (9/5): Can’t beat the place for value . . . we will be going again - Been before . . . Food was great again . . . Springs in mattresses are a bit old fashioned but ok . . .shower units are very small, be very difficult for a really big person to turn round in (and could do with soap trays) . . .Water turned up is VERY hot and could scald someone if they got into the shower before turning it on . . . TV’s are small but work . . .At least all of the receptionists were helpful and pleasant this time, prob because the main receptionist (Ann) was away for the week) . . . Nightly entertainment was far too loud this time . . .nice to be able to talk to the people you are with, without having to shout . . . With Sand Bay now being for adults only, the majority have retired and getting on a bit . . they don’t want rock n’ roll songs being belted out …..they like to dance and I mean dance, not risk having a heart attack, trying to jive . . .
- Jason (1/5): It was like going back in the 50ts - Fair.but not tops up offen staff are to lazy Demolish the compeee site and start again it was like going back in the 50ts
- Steve (7/5): Very Enjoyable - Room was very clean & comfortable.
Breakfast was very good great selection
Dinner very good deserts could have been better very much the same each night
Overall value for money
- Bundy (10/5): - Entertainment and the food and the prices Nothing.

- Townsend (9/5): -

- Michael (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Roger (10/5): A lovely week for a very affordable price. - Lovely comfortable accommodation Nothing
- Howard (8/5): - entertainment room heating
- Wayne (3/5): Cheap but not cheerful - Staff was friendly , alcohol was reasonably priced , good parking Trying to find my room was a nightmare not signed up for rooms down back area and lighting isn't up to much either , bed was rock hard and one pillow , also need a key safe i left in the end at 4 am rang number on door guy said just leave by door ,
- Karen (10/5): - Fantastic entertainment. Loved quizzes n hoy bingo we won both. Food good. Staff lovely. Loved the snooker room
Especially liked how special needs people were cared for. Wheelchair dancing so lovely. Also gr8 now dogs allowed. Big queue for evening meal
Should open the top of restaurant like other years. This our 3rd Xmas visit.
- Mounfield (9/5): Fantastic - Very good value for money Nothing
- Louise (6/5): - The staff were brilliant, though clearly overstretched and exhausted. They were really helpful with my need for gluten free food.
The chalet was basic, but clean. The fact that I had a bath was a lovely surprise.
The food was plentiful.
I have no idea about the entertainment as I had no idea that I'd booked a 'turkey and tinsel' break until I arrived. I was using my chalet as a base to deliver Christmas to friends and family. The base sheet for the bed didn't seem big enough.
The staff were brilliant but very stretched, and all looked totally exhausted.
- Singer (1/5): Never going there again - The entertainment was good, the entertainment team worked hard and provided a reasonably good programme. The restaurant was appalling, while the waiting staff were okay, the management and catering staff were really unhelpful. Seating was terrible. The food was reasonable but insufficient for the number of guests. There weren't enough beverage making facilities. Queues for the buffet were extremely long and slow as the food kept running out. The room was fairly good but the outside lighting made it quite light, making sleeping difficult. Would suggest motion sensored lights.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - Ok M9re choice
- catherine (5/5): Below average. - Leaving Receptionist was very unwelcoming. Cold food and plates. Ran out of lots of things at dinner and breakfast. Comedian was rubbish as stated by a lot of guests.
- steve visit (9/5): - food was lovely staff on desk
- christine (8/5): Very satisfied - All meals were very nice
The accommodation was very suitable for our needs. The property is ideal for us as we travel to WSM frequently to visit friends.
We stay for 2 or 3 days. We aren't bingo fanatics so tended to avoid early evening entertainment
- Nigel (8/5): The value was in the catering, and entertainment. - Plenty of choice to eat in the restaurant. Even catered well for my partner who has to eat Gluten free. Entertainment was typical ok holiday park. The pool was nice, but the games room was awful. Very dated accommodation. Several cobwebs in the room. Central heating randomly came on and off, was not able to control when required.
- C J (8/5): - Simple, efficient and comfortable. Nothing really, except perhaps there was no shower, just a bath. But no real issues.
- Carol (8/5): - Good entertainment Beds are awful
- Christine (7/5): -
- Robert (5/5): - Not a lot Wouldn't come again
- Helen (8/5): - It was all I needed for my stay Nothing
- Matthews (9/5): - Staff friendly and helpful and clean environment N/a
- Vicki (6/5): Basic Break - Entertainment and how the club was decorated Queueing for meals could have been eased by leaving 2 food stations open. Also to have a 2nd tea and coffee station working. Need more staff to cope with the demand, was constantley running out of food cups plates dishes etc. Quite simple changes would make the service a lot easier. One of the milk stations needed a good clean was clogged with dried milk not nice did'nt use it again. I know it's not the Ritz but should be kept clean. Think if the management could have a productive meeting most of the issues could be addressed.
- Caroline (6/5): -
- Vik (7/5): Basic, good value accommodation with an excellent swimming pool. - The swimming pool was much nicer than I expected and was wonderfully warm. The games room was good, too, with snooker and table tennis tables. The food was pretty basic but they managed to cater for an almost vegan diet, which was more than I'd expected. Overall it was a good place to stay and there's a bus right outside that goes into Weston town. I could feel the springs in the mattress and I'm pretty light. Fortunately I was in a twin room so I put the duvet off the other bed on top of my mattress and then it was comfortable, but if I'd been sharing a room or in a double bed it wouldn't have been good. There's only wifi in reception, but that's okay, as long as you're expecting it.
- David (8/5): -
- Philip (8/5): -
- Knudson (5/5): - Not sure That they only take bank cards at the bar and there were black spots behind the toilet on the floor
- sampson (8/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): Was a couple nights to remember as we done our own thing. It is definitely for the alder generation. - Was ok for the price we paid.
- Dawn (10/5): -
- Norman (8/5): Budget friendly expectations - Entertainment was brilliant, rooms lovely, swimming pool was great! Providing Vegan options for meals didn't seem like a priority and were sometimes difficult to get
- DONNA (4/5): - Entertainment was ok. Apartment food and drinks
- gordon (4/5): We came home as my wife could not stand the cool room as u turn Heather off in the night so we wher - Good Room Heather cool
