• William (8/5): - The manager was kind and helpful. The motel was located close to other businesses in Socorro, so everything was in walking distance. I liked the desk and lamp, so I could work when not visiting customers. The room was plain, but clean and functional. This wasn’t a luxury room, but absolutely fine for business travelers.

Just not worth what I paid that's for sure.. $80 for a smoking king room. . Do not waste ya hard earned money..

• Bernadette (6/5): Disappointing second stay. - Second stay at Economy Inn. It was adequate for the price. This time the stay was noisy. I could hear the folks in the next room...all night.

• Brooks (8/5): - An old facility that is being renovated; bathroom was excellent and clean, room was also clean. WiFi was weak but did work eventually. The outside of the building needs some maintenance and there were "hangers on" on the property who were not registered guests.

• Paula (7/5): Basic accommodations - The motel is conveniently located in the center of town, and the staff member I dealt with was very friendly. The wi-fi works well. The bed was good. The heater was rather noisy, but kept the room at a comfortable temperature on a VERY cold night. The motel is old and needs upgrading: The paint was flaking off the bathroom ceiling, the linoleum is stained and uneven, and the carpet looked tired. While some items in the room (e.g., the bedspread and the curtains) looked new, and the linens were clean, the rooms themselves need refurbishing.

Heater worked well. Shower nice and hot. Easy to set flow. No carpeting!!! Wood flooring looked nice. Spick and span clean.

• Mary (6/5): Pleasant - it was clean. Although clean, the room looks like it is not being cared for and is falling apart. The heating fan was loud and interfered with sleep. The hotel was overpriced for an adequate stay. I will look for some place different next time.

• Anton (4/5): Disappointing - The motel itself is cheap and decent, nothing to mention in particular. The bed was fine. The motel desperately needs renovation, at least the room I stayed in. The interior of the room door was covered with scratches and stains, reminiscent of a scene from a crime B-movie. The carpet was filthy, and there were visible stains on the walls, especially around the light switches. The towels were thin and heavily worn, though still clean. The word "Economy" is justified in the title, certainly.

Overhead fan was great!!! $15 dog fee, no grassy area for pets, seemed $30 too expensive from other motels on our trip although maybe all motels in Socorro have over-inflated prices.

• Marilyn (9/5): GREAT place to stay for a low price; kooky color schemes, excellent room in every way. - Excellent, large room, very good bed, clean, small table with two chairs was convenient, price was LOW compared to other motels we have been in, and worth every cent and more. Kooky color schemes added to the charm of the place. Driveway needs refinishing - not really critical for what you are paying for

• Stephen (5/5): Passable - Pretty rough. $79 a night, way too high. These were $25 a night rooms ten years ago. My "wages" haven't gone up. However, it was clean and the owner was great to work with. AC was great, pet friendly and close to a little grassy park which is hard to find in NM. Close to food of all sorts. Quiet. Cable - very strange but it was there. Wifi - didn't use it as I just use my cell phone. Access to hwy 60 and 6th street made getting around with a truck and trailer easy.

• Trujillo (1/5): I would not recommend this location - I’m writing this with hopes for everyone to understand I am not a picky nor an unreasonable person, but the hotel left very much to be desired, the only thing I liked about this property is the AC worked.. A significant gap (approx 2-3 inches) between the bottom of the door and the base of the frame was noticed, this most likely the reason I dispatched 4 roaches within 5 hrs of my stay (not to mention the multiple dead crickets and other insects). Two more things I noticed within my first 5 hrs were, 1: I was unable to shut the bathroom door completely, if attempted to shut properly, the door would most likely break; 2: a sign on the toilet said “hold handle down until completely flushed”. This action was repeated 3-4 times before the waste was completely flushed away. I booked a stay for 6 nights. I checked into the hotel at 6pm the first night by 11pm I had found all that I previously mentioned. I was reluctant to stay but decided to finish the night, I got up at 5:30am to get ready, I left the room at 6:30am, returned at 12:30pm with groceries, left at 12:45pm. Finally I returned back to the room at 5:30pm, for what I thought was going to be for rest of the evening, only to slip in water on the floor. It appeared that the water was coming from behind the wall of where the sink is located. All of my findings were brought to the attention of management of the motel. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered to put me in another room. This room was a “smoking” room, I declined this offer. At this time, the management agreed to refund me 5 nights worth of stay, of which I have yet to receive (booking date was from 07/14/2024- 07/19/2024, today is currently 07/18/2024). Booking.com was contacted on 07/16/2024 with booking.com stating they would ensure the refund is to be paid.

• Forrest (4/5): Disappointed - The fact that there was a chicken fast food attached to the hotel was convenient No blow dryer in the room and no outlet in the sink area so I had to get an extension cord to run my curling iron. There was also no grassy or gravelled area to walk my dogs

• Alexis (10/5): 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling threw Socorro New Mexico! - I absolutely loved the woman at the front desk! she was an older lady and she was just THE SWEETEST! When we arrived she was so helpful and let us park our truck and trailer where it accommodate us that was just awesome! The staff was so nice and welcoming I would absolutely love to come here again this was the best place we could have found! The cooler wasn’t on when we came in the room so it took a while to cool down but other than that this place was super awesome and staff was just awesome!

• Jennifer (10/5): Restful! - I loved the fact that there is restaurant on the same premises. The owner is very friendly, and is always available. It is located right in town so shops are in a walking distance, for the most part.

• Leonard (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean when I walked in, staff was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The bed is very comfortable, and the floors are perfectly with a dog friendly. The refrigerator was perfect big with a big freezer. I couldn't find anything.

• Wayne (6/5): - This is a dated facility, readily communicated as one drives into the lot, with furnishings and equipment to match. It was clean enough, however the overall impression was a bit tawdry due to age. There was amateurish calking in the bathroom, although effective, it was shabby in appearance. Recently painted, the bathroom doorknob was heavily masked with tape that no one bothered to remove. The 'ice machine' consisted of a small chest freezer with bagged ice poured into a plastic tray, dispensed with a scoop. The floors are wood laminate and clean. The bed frame (ours was a king) made a thunderous, booming sound every time it was nudged. I leave it to your imagination. There were few guests on a Friday evening, and it's doubtful that its survival will be long. I'm sure the male desk clerk wears many hats. I don't know that he's the handyman, however it wouldn't surprise me if he was. It's a safe, cheap place to stay - just don't expect many amenities. Nearby El Camino Restaurant up California St. is good if you like Mexican, however it serves other food as well. Good service and friendly servers.

• D (9/5): Birdwatching in central New Mexico - Freshly renovated, super comfortable bed, better than all the higher-priced motels I've stayed in, quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to an excellent family restaurant El Camino. Nothing!

The place looks like it should be torn down. Years ago, I stayed in $5 per night places in SE Asia which were considerably nicer. I was desperate and it was late, so I stayed there.

Also, when we had issues with the internet, the owner provided an alternative which worked fine. The owner was willing to work with us on that as we noted that we did need a good internet, and we going to change motels if nothing was available. He noted that he would allow us to change our departure without problems if we were not satisfied with his solution to our problem There as need for some long term maintains but it didn't have any significant impacts on us
