Guest Reviews
- McMillan (8/5): -
- Teresa (7/5): It was good. - It was fine. It's an older motel and I was going to give a negative review. However, the lady that checked us in and out was a dear. We left and got 30 mins away when my son realized he had left cash in the room. I thought it was a lost cause but I called. The clerk went to the room and found my son's money ($50) and kept it safe until I could travel back to retrieve it. I don't know her name, but she deserves a raise! Good people still exist!!
- Reginald McCoy (10/5): - Friendly
- William (8/5): -
- Dorothy (8/5): Good economy choice - It's a good location for us. Rooms are reasonably priced and adequately appointed High step onto curb in the location where we were
- Rodney (8/5): I am definitely going to stay there again - For the price, it was a great deal The breakfast that you’re supposed to get was very minimal.
- Jason (7/5): -
- Milburn (7/5): - Just a nominal hotel The bathroom needs renovation
- Susan (7/5): -
- Donna (6/5): It was fine. - The location was good. The breakfast was not so good. The room smelled clean, but was not. The floors were very dirty. The room was not quiet. There was a lot of outside noise. The room above us and the bathroom fan on all night, which was very loud. One of the beds in the room was unlevel and leaning down towards the headboard,
- Dorothy (7/5): Good economy choice - It is a good location. Rooms are comfortable. Beds are really high like most motels. Short people like me have trouble getting in.
- William (8/5): -
- Tamara (9/5): - Todo muy bien
- Mathew (5/5): Clean, friendly, and cheap. - Staff was friendly and was pretty clean. Price was super cheap so met our needs. Pretty old and outdated extremely loud where the hotel is located.

- Baldwin (8/5): Very comfortable and a good value. - The room was very clean and comfortable. I especially liked the fact that it had flooring instead of carpet. Can't think of anything negative.
- Herbert (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Value , clean and comfortable. - Stayed at the property as a mid way stop on our trip. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The hotel is dated but a great value at under $80.00. Nearby Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and Radisson started at $159.00 for the same date.
Breakfast was toaster waffles and toaster pancakes, 2 types of cereal and orange juice. Could be better but again, price was $80.00!!! Breakfast could use an upgrade but still a value for the price.

- Wendy (10/5): Great little stay - Convenient to everything. Convenience store next door and restaurant next door. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had our pup with us and didn't cost a fortune to bring her. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Halloween and no loud partying. Family friendly place. I would definitely stay again. Nothing I didn't like all was good.
- Calvin (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - Perfect for a short getaway — clean, quiet, and excellent service.
- Dorothy (8/5): - Comfortable for an economy priced hotel. Everything was OK
- Julie (5/5): - Price was reasonable. Breakfast was already done by 9 am. Bathroom needs update. Too close to highway - noisy.
- Kellie (8/5): -
- Adrian (10/5): Nice - Nice stay Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): Nice stay - Nice parking Nothing
- Dilka (9/5): - I like that the room was spacious, clean and well equipped. There was hardly any breakfast and the lighting in the bathroom.
- Adrian (10/5): Very nice - Everything!!! Nothing
- Scottie (6/5): Overall it was ok! - I liqered the rating because the 1st room (on the 2nd floor room 245, pictures are attached) had unsanitary looking stain in the shower coffee machine was dingy looking in both rooms. I went back into the office and the representative gave me ankther room on the 1st floor. It was better then the 1st one. The bed was comfortable, hor water was great. I was in room 136. Several of the lamps and outlets did not work. Their were cleaners who came daily! Im not complaining about breakfast. They offered several cereals waffles and flapjacks For safety reasons, i hope they try to inspect all of the electrical outlets so no one gets shocked or worse. The air conditioner worked perfectly!
- Deborah (10/5): - room was exceptionally clean and looks like got some remodeling. Everything was great. Although may have been recently exterminated-saw about 4 roaches. But overally really super nice room.I repeat room was extremely clean-great job cleaning ladies.
- Alex (7/5): Nice - Clean Nothing
- Tiffany Mobley (10/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): - Dated furniture but neat and clean throughout. Bed comfortable. Only recommendation would be to change the window coverings as all seem to be dated and somewhat nasty looking. Other than that the stay was enjoyable and would stay again.
- Javon (1/5): Horrible. -
- Dave and Patti (8/5): - humidity in the room was high and clothes felt damp stopper in tub didn't hold water floor was gritty first of three nights
decent breakfast and location for camden/ lugoff was excellent
- Micaela (2/5): Do not stay here. - I am writing to inform you that after our booking on August 5th, 2025, we stayed in the room for less than an hour due to the conditions of the room. The floor was filthy , and there was insect frass (droppings) in between all the sheets on both beds, there was an intense smell.of smoke in the room upon entering, and the curtains were stained with smoke and rust. The toilet never stopped running the entire time we were in the room. I voiced my concerns to the clerk at the front desk and when no other accommodation was offered, I told her we were checking out. No refund was offered. We tried to get one through the booking agency (hotels.com) and received no results. At this time, I am informing both the Department of Consumer Affairs at (800) 922-1594, the Attorney General for the state of South Carolina at (1-803-734-1221), and the Department of Public Health at (803) 545-4370. If you wish to issue a refund for our stay, then these complaints will be redacted.
- Andrew (4/5): - The breakfast was a joke frozen waffle and cereal. The pool was broken the whole time I was there which was a one thing I requested when looking for a hotel . House keeping bangs on your door at 9 am no sign for do not disturb. They only ask if you need trash bags or towel and only what you give them no extras. Never asked to clean the room. Phone in the room doesn't work and you have hunt the front desk clerk . Vending machines don't work so it's a good thing stores are near by unless you want to buy limited amount of snacks and if your like me no diabetic nothing. The wifi was a hit and miss most of the time my mobike days had to run the wifi dropped. This was probably my last summer due to health problems and and I choose that hotel even with bad reviews. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because some people are just petty but no they were spot on. Mildew on the curtains . The only thing that was decent was the bed and shower ( water pressure). Don't forget your shampoo and body wash or your out of luck you get a facial bar and a packet of shampoo that's it. I was very disappointed.
- joy (7/5): Overall I was pleased with my stay, it met my expectations for the cost. Great water pressure - The room was clean and there weren’t any unpleasant odors The room did feel a little humid despite adjusting the ac unit
- Edward (8/5): Not Quite Perfect / Sincere Staff - We travels from North Carolina! It had been a good day but long day. When we arrived the gentleman at the counter was pleasant, cheerful but not trying too hard. He made my check in effortless. The room keys are a little wonky and the luggage carts at loud. I am traveling with an incontinent person so to have laundry facilities available on my floor was nice. However the dryer hadn’t been clean and there were cigarette butts in it. I use to work in hospitality I understand how hard it can be some days to get everything perfect so give the staff some grace even if your floor is a little sticky. Just let the staff know they will either clean it or move you rooms.
- Barbara (6/5): - Although the room was non-smoking, it was really a smoking room turned into non-smoking. The tobacco smell saturated the room.
- James (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Latissimus (8/5): Nice people, comfortable beds, great price - Proximity to my family Breakfast, not enough variety
- Wolf (4/5): Disappointing -
- Kenneth (7/5): Good -
- John (10/5): - It was an okay stay. A couple of the towels had stains from prior use.
- Ernesto (8/5): - Various AC outlets and lamps not working.
Problem with phone for room to room use.
- Marco (4/5): - Needs a lot of maintenance
- Y889DFdianam (4/5): Disappointing Property - Property needs a face lift Check-in went well but I later went back for a blanket Wo men in the office didn’t seem too happy they grumbled commenting that blankets were in the laundry room Since it seemed like a huge ask I said don’t bother & left Later knock on the door & 2 women showed up with blankets the same 2 who grumbled about having to get one Floors were dirty & could have been vacuumed Food was left in the refrigerator Everything that could rust was rusty especially in the bathroom Cheap thin towels You get 2 small bath towels 1 hand towel 1 washcloth so if there’s 2 people in the room you’re sharing towels & washcloth Fitted sheet didn’t fit well corners kepT popping off Heating/air conditioning unit worked but setting temperature was not possible it seemed you had 2 choices hot or cold No hangers No do not disturb sign & so housekeeping come banging on the door early in the morning Breakfast was a joke cold weak coffee No hot water for tea & the selections were poor at best McDonalds down the street would be gourmet compared to the sad breakfast offered One evening all the alarms at the property went off this continued for about half hour Nobody around to address the issue Another evening the electric went out (it was an area power outage) mentioning this because there were no security/emergency lights that normally hotels have in case of power outages the entire property was dark Ratings made this property appear much nicer that it was We wouldn’t stay here again

- Kendra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randall (9/5): Superb - Very friendly
- william (10/5): - front desk attendant was super friendly
- Verified traveler (4/5): Will not return - The staff were arguing with each other and were very inefficient. The surrounding property did not feel safe. The property was not clean, nor was the room.
- Andrew (10/5): - The property was fine as long as you know the difference between a HOTEL and MOTEL.
The sheets and towels were clean. The room was large and had a nice sized fridge, microwave and coffee pot. They allow pets (and even kids). There was NO illicit activity apparent in the parking lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. No bugs/vermin in rooms.
On the downside...The free breakfast was cold cereal, some of the furnishings were stained, rusted, etc & I would not walk on the floors barefoot.
Overall an acceptable place to stay in the area and great place for the price.
- Theresa (4/5): - I think through no fault of their own the property needs a complete overhaul, with that being said the staff was friendly and room was clean.
- Duane (4/5): - The property was old and outdated, but you get what you pay for.
- Arlene (5/5): Passable - Location and nice staff. Not much on breakfast. Kind of old building.
- Reginald (5/5): Passable -
- Alex (8/5): - Good price for a room. The location
- Dennis (3/5): It sucked! - The only good thing was the location. The floor was never cleaned in the six days we were there. The bathroom was filthy. Only thing we got every day was clean towels & if we opened up to housekeeping. If we didn’t get to the door in time we didn’t get any service. This happened twice.
- ZENOLA (8/5): - No working vending or ice machine.
Breakfast was a waste of time; coffee & cold cereal. From desk staff is pleasant.
- maria (8/5): - It's a good hotel
- Drema (4/5): Okay for a sleep but not clean. - Easy access, bed was comfortable Floors were not swept, dirty wash cloth left on the back of the toilet, bathroom paper and tissues were not refilled. Smelled moldy
- Cox (1/5): It was the worst stay ever at this hotel - The power went out and then the some type of alarm stayed on for several minutes. Impossible to go back to sleep Curtains didn't close completely. Middle curtain had mildew all over it. Small child playing basketball and roller blading in parking lot not safe for the kid or the guests. Mattress had some type of plastic over it crinkled when moving in bed. We have stayed here several times and nothing was as bad as our last stay. Probably never staying here again. We are in Camden every year for the Boykin Nationals. Sorry typed comment in wrong spot. Look above for comments.
