- Charlotte (10/5): - Thanks for the comfortable stay. Really amazing breakfasts (we didn't need to eat lunch there was so much!), and the fact that we were vegetarian was no issue at all. Our room was cute and cozy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I was sad we didn't have time to use the spa pool due to visiting family/being out all day, it looked great.

The dated room, unpleasant check in (remove shoes, climb stairs to hear the long list of rules, I was told payment was completed but it wasnt) old furnishings, dangerous path out to hot tub including manouvering around hoses left laying on path, no choices for breakfast, no clean outdoor seating area. We won't be back for sure.

Hearty, large-portion breakfasts were served at a scheduled time that was agreeable to both us and the host (anywhere between 6-10 am). Breakfasts items included omelettes, waffles, bagels, yogurt parfaits. Our room had a very comfortable Queen Bed and 3 piece ensuite bath. Although the bedroom was on the main, it was very private and quiet. Our room also opened on to a upper wrap-around deck with a private table & chairs for us to enjoy. Definitely recommend!

With the exception of a couple of cobwebs, the room was pristine and lovely. But the coup de grace has to be the hostess's breakfast! We couldn't finish it, but very, very tasty. And our hostess was very kind and helpful.

No fridge, kettle or coffee maker in room so had to keep asking owners for hot water (no problem though). Town bigger than expected with a few places to eat and a supermarket. Lovely scenery. The hostess gave us excellent ideas to visit Averill Winery with our picnic lunch and to visit a westholme tea farm which was an exceptional experience!

It's an attached room to the house upstairs with owners who are very pleasant. Great to spend a night while passing though. Love this little town!

- Edward (10/5): Hard to beat in cowichan - Host and hostess very welcomimg. Afternoon tea when we arrived. Informative about the area. Room immaculate. Very well set up for disabled access. Enormous home cooked breakfast with quality ingredients. We chatted with another couple for over an hour over breakfast before leaving.

The food was very tasty and almost overly plentiful with a nice variety over our three day stay. Cindy,our host, was always available and ready to meet our every whim. Top-notch indeed.
