One thing I didn't like and know they don't provide shower gel or soap in shower room. Fans needed to be adjusted but it was a struggle since the adjustment didn't work and had to resort to creative ways.

Den dejlig gåtur til Towers. Da vi besøgte hotellet var der en del grupper af børn på lejrskole, hvilket lader til at være del af konceptet.

- russell (6/5): Cheap, functional, clean. - Convenient and clean. Bunk beds are fine but mattresses a bit thin and if you’re tall a bar across the end is a pain. Other than that it’s a cheap functional room.

Flexible policies, allow you to store luggage for hours before and after checking in. Bus right across the street. This was a pleasant surprise!!!

- Kari (8/5): Would come back! - The stay was very nice! My friends and I spent 4 nights in a 6 bed room. Basic room and reception, but clean and well kept. Workers were kind and helpful. Beds were comfy and with a nice thick duvet. Windows could be opened and every bed had their own outlet and light. Two things that could be better is more large storage lockers and quieter bathroom fans. Overall a plesant stay, would come back!

It was a little further away for us but great likely for those who don’t want to be too amidst the hustle and bustle of a more central location. Easy train access via Canada Water station to go just about anywhere in Central London or the surrounding areas. Breakfast buffet was very inexpensive and fantastic! Great stay overall and would book again for sure if I was lookin to stay in that area.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay at YHA London Thameside - Unbelievably friendly gentleman at the reception desk! Even though it's beyond the control of the hostel, other guests were equally respectful of shared space and discreet during "quiet" hours. I did not have trouble getting rest in a 6-person dorm. Room was very clean considering the circumstances and so was the kitchen - well organized and rules clearly laid out for everyone. Lots of in-house food options and things to rent for people travelling light. YHA London Thameside was what I needed for my stay but make sure it is for you as well as it is slightly on the outskirts of London (to my tourist eyes). However, I had no trouble getting to the center with nearby Overground and bus services!

It is located in a very nice area , clean facility and easy access to train station just 6 minutes walk to Rotherhithe Station and 15 minutes walk to Canada Water. Very friendly staff and helpful.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Front desk staff were very helpful, housekeeping staff were polite and rooms were clean. Loved the full kitchen for self-catering - it had a microwave, stovetop, oven, fridge and dishes. There were minor problems with some of the equipment - certain outlets weren’t functional and there was a leak in the bathroom. However, as soon as issues were mentioned to the staff, they were quickly fixed. Only real problem was that the wifi didn’t reach our room.

Would heartily recommend if you’re travelling on a budget.

The overall decor and bathroom could do with a bit of updating. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hostel was secure and quiet. It had a bar open until 2am for drinks and coffee. We would stay here again, good value for money so close to the centre of London
- Eunice (4/5): Very bad check-in experience - The room is fine, with the amount you paid can’t expect much anyway. But the check in experience is terrible. I booked 2 Quadruple rooms via Expedia and received the email confirmation as well. It turned out that the hostel only reserved 1 Quadruple room for 8 of us and the receptionist claimed that their system received only 1 room under this booking. I can understand if it’s a system error but the receptionist insisted it was my wrong and only made 1 room booking despite of showing her multiple times the email confirmation received from Expedia. Next she was able to get us a 6-bed room but expected us to pay the rate of the day which is more expensive than the rate I booked. This is so ridiculous. The kitchen helpers that serving the breakfast was very unfriendly too. Their customer service is really terrible, highly not recommended regardless how cheap the rate.
- Verified traveler (8/5): July 2018 - The hostel itself was great. The area is perfect as well but it is a bit of a commute to get there from central London. My only criticism would be gaining access at night, the intercom doesn’t work properly so reception does not want to open for you. I would stay there again without question. The beds all have there own light, plug and usb points. The rooms could use some more lockers though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): So much potential - not always fulfilled - This is my second time staying at the hostel because overall I must say it’s a nice place to stay. However - there are elements that could be improved. Firstly, the showers. I stayed in three different rooms on this visit and only one had a decent shower. For me, this is a critical factor when reviewing a place because it singularly embodies attention to detail. A good shower should not be a luxury in a developed country that receives as much rain as the U.K. does. Secondly, kitchen equipment is poor. Again, the space itself is wonderful, but let down by inferior utensils and appliances. In addition, the cups are just too small for a decent hot drink. More like dolls crockery. Lastly, the staff. Whilst there are one or two who clearly do know how to do their job, as a cohort i find them to be apathetic and uncaring. More training in basic hospitality is definitely required here. Overall, I still like the place - but it could easily be made so much better!!

Everything worked bathroom was clean, and all phone charging points by each bunk was an extra bonus. Staff friendly and breakfast and bar was good and reasonable price especially for london. - Lucy (10/5): nice place for tavel - We had a family of 5, include a 1 year old baby stayed at this place. We feel confirmable. The beds and room are clean. Staff are nice. You can use the nice locked storage locker after check out. You need to pay 2 pounds to rect a towel if you did not bring one. The place has very good security.
- Brooklyn (10/5): Excellent example for YHA - I stayed for two nights and had my own bunk room. I thought the location was perfect for my own needs. The area is quiet and safe. Facilities were excellent and well maintained. My only criticism would be the lack of Wi-fi available in rooms, however this seems to be a universal flaw throughout the YHA franchise.
- Dave (10/5): Excellent value for money. - I've stopped in other hostels while on short trips to London, but this is the best so far. Very clean, and everything looks pretty new. I stayed in a 6 bunk room, which had its own bathroom and toilet. Every bunk had a reading light, 3-pin socket, and 2 USB ports. There were 4 small lockers in the room, and 2 large ones (take a padlock with you or buy one at reception). Staff were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely use this place again.
- Julia (8/5): I stay here literally EVERY time I come to London. - It is the safest hostel I have stayed in and is quiet with respectful employees and guests. Food and Drink available on site. It is a bit out of the way from the normal tourist destinations, but that is part of the reason I love it. I enjoy walking the South bank at night and finding stunning views and hidden gems most never see. There is a grocer nearby (1 block?) and it is only two or three blocks to the overground station. If you are part of a family, large group, or solitary individual you will be very comfortable here. This is NOT a party hostel.

The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the city and helped us out in so many ways! The hostel may seem far from central London but the trains are close and easy to navigate and it's really only a 20 minute walk if you're feeling like stretching your legs! The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Snacks, desserts and a few bottled adult beverages all available at very reasonable prices. All around a great experience. We'll certainly consider it should we return to London.

- Angela (8/5): simpel hostel - we slept 5 nights at the yha hostel. For me (female 1.68) the beds were really comfortable. But my boyfriend (1.85) was to tall for this small beds. you always go wet feets after the shower, because the curtain was to short. Everythink looked a bit old and overused. BUT it was clean. It just looked dirty :D If you have not high standarts, you can stay there. its cheap and easy.
- Kyle (10/5): Nice overnight stay in London - It was my first time booking with YHA and I am extremely pleased. We booked a private room for 2 people with a bunk bed. Everything went really smoothly, the check in was fast and the staff were nice. The hostel itself looked friendly and inviting. Our room was very clean with a nice, big window. It was warm in the room and there even was a kettle and a few tea bags/coffee sachets. There are sockets and little night lights right next to the beds so it was comfortable. Also the bathroom was spotless and the shower was warm. The location was close to a tube and an overground station. I really got more than what I expected from a youth hostel! Unfortunately we didn't have breakfast so I cannot comment on this but overall it was an amazing stay and I'd be happy to come back next time I'm in London :).

- Sian (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Great value for money, although the location was not as central as other YHAs and there's a 10-minute walk to the nearest underground station (there's a bus stop outside the hotel which might be helpful, though). Luggage storage costs 2 or 3 GBP depending on the size of your locker (payable each time you open/close the locker). 24-hour reception is very helpful, and the pleasant bar closing at 2am also nice for a drink/coffee after getting in late. Beds and rooms were basic but clean, no complaints there. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Private ensuite room quite basic but nice enough for a short stay. Bring own towels or rent one, nice bedding was provided and bunk beds made up. Was packed with a French school group when I was there but this was fine. Great pub next door with lovely views of the Thames and London skyline and decent food. Overall great value and surprisingly convenient from central London, docklands and the Olympic Park area.

- Olli (6/5): Good enough - Clean place, no shower curtain = bathroom always wet, seems to be very popular with teenage groups, overground near, underground far, took quite long to go to center, no free towels, nice staff but quite serious about checking ID, good for the price and location for a few nights
- Michelle (6/5): Small but acceptable twin room ensuite - My friend and I stayed in a bunk bed ensuite room for the weekend. We were excited to get a room for just two people with an ensuite in it-not always easy to find! The room was small as was the ensuite but it served the purpose and I thought it was perfectly acceptable.this yha would suit independent travellers who are happy being out of the city and enjoy working out public transport routes as it's in a sleepy suburban area.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was okay. It was more or less what we expected, but the arrangement of the beds was a little bit difficult for some of our taller people. The bathroom was not terribly clean, and the sink didn't drain. The room wasn't well-ventilated even with the windows open, so everyone kept waking up because it was too hot and sticky. The staff, however, is amazing and very helpful. We know they do the best with what they have.
