Großartiges Schnorcheln direkt vor dem Resort: Viele intakte Korallen, Tropenfische, Schildkröten. Leider konnten wir von hier aus keine Tour ins Archipel machen, weil das Boot privat gebucht war. Für uns nicht so schlimm, weil wir schon vorher eine Tour hatten
• Leos (8/5): Staying close to the sky - The hotel has a stunning location. The views from our room on the top floor were breathtaking. All rooms feature a large covered terrace with wooden loungers and soft mattresses where guests can lie, relax, enjoy the surrounding beauty, and stay protected from the sun—an ideal solution for those who prefer not to sunbathe directly on the beach. If you wish, breakfast or other meals can even be served directly to your room. The room itself is decorated with great sensitivity and artistic flair. We would only recommend placing a screen between the bed and the bathtub, or at least adding a shower hose inside the shower. The hotel staff are truly dedicated to their work. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, and, importantly, their service came genuinely from the heart. This is what we take away as the best part of our experience. On the downside, unfortunately, we must note that the kitchen falls short of the hotel’s overall quality. This is an issue because if you want to go out for a meal, you have to take a boat. In such a beautiful location, you really want the food to match the surroundings in quality. The same goes for cocktails and coffee—please improve them. We are convinced that guests who come here are willing to pay for high-quality food and drinks.

• Szilvia (10/5): Unforgettable paradise - Our stay at Vellago was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the very first moment, we felt that we had arrived somewhere extraordinary. Having breakfast on our balcony each morning was wonderful. We were especially lucky to witness a stunning sunset that we will never forget. The staff were enthusiastic, cheerful, and genuinely warm, making our stay even more special. Right in front of the accommodation, by the coral reef, we had the incredible experience of swimming with a turtle. The authentic local dishes were exceptional. Vellago is not just a place to stay, it is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. None.

• George (10/5): BEST. RESORT. EVER. - BOOK THIS RESORT!!! My wife and I have traveled all over the world, stayed in many high end resorts, Vellago is incomparable. We stayed in the beach Villa and it was stunning. We stayed for 4 nights and we couldn’t have asked for more. We were greeted with such hospitality, it felt like family, we loved the ratio of staff to guests, we wanted for nothing. They took care of our massage bookings, our boat tour bookings. The resort and room are well curated, the views are to die for. Food was delicious. Thank you staff of Vellago, it was a truly magical experience for us and we will hold you in our hearts! I don’t like that it’s so far away from California :)
• Javier (10/5): La estancia más mágica de nuestras vidas. - La atención fue increíble desde el primer momento. Nos recibió todo el equipo de Vellago nada más llegar en el barco. La habitación (Beach Villa) es una impresionante gran estancia con las mejores vistas al mar que se puedan imaginar; una gran terraza y un baño mágico. El trato en la playa es increíble y nos sentimos muy mimados. Ojalá volver pronto.
• Timothee (8/5): Une idylle évidente - Le lieu est fantastique. Mieux que sur n’importe quelle photo. Voici quelques points qui peuvent faire douter avant de réserver mais qui ne posent aucun problème: 1. la plage des 7 Commandements fait partie d’un tour A. Il y a donc des touristes de 10h à 16h. (Très peu à midi car les tour vont manger sur d’autre plage) —> ceci n’est pas un problème. La zone réservée au Vellago le reste. Les lits de plages sont pour les résidents. Et la sécurité indique au trépassant qu’ils ne peuvent pas aller plus loin. 2.c’est isolé. —> Oui et c’est indiqué dès le départ. Il n’y a pas de surprise et c’est ce qu’on recherche si on va au Vellago. Lorsque les touristes partent le paradis est pour vous et les autres résidents (max 6 chambre, sans enfant) La décoration de la chambre (Beach Villa) en dit long sur la réflexion artistique. De la création des structures aux petits détails. Tout donne envie d’y rester. Les chemins qui mènent aux chambres. Fleuri et surtout illuminés de manière cosy et harmonieuse. La salle à manger en hauteur toute ouverte sur la baie. Les dîners au bord de l’eau sous un ciel étoilé. Toujours décoré à la minute façon tropical avec vraie fleurs et flambeaux. L’envie de bien faire incessante de toute l’équipe du service. Spécialement Marl dont on se souviendra longtemps. Quelques bons cocktails et mocktails qui correspondent bien avec le lieu. Si nous attribuons une note que sur l’endroit, ce serait 10/10. Cependant il faut aussi considérer le prix payé et comparé avec d’autres lieux de haut standing. 1. Le manque de communication: - aucune explication sur quoi prendre pour le Tour spécial (Island Hopping) [si vous lisez ce commentaire prenez des Aquashoes avec vous !] - pas de soucis si certain plats/ingrédient ne sont pas disponibles. MAIS dites le AVANT qu’on salive devant la carte. - n’attendez pas 15 minutes pour venir dire « on a plus de glace ». Dites le de suite ainsi on commande autre chose sans attendre bêtement. - mettez des cloches sur les plats en chambre. Ça les tient au chaud (cela a été fait dès le 2ème jour après nos remarques.) 2. La qualité de la nourriture. - variable. Autant cela n’a pas commencé très bien. Mais cela s’est amélioré au fil des jours. Les commentaires qui parlent de « bouffe pas bonne » sont injustes. MAIS au vue de ce qu’on a mangé dans de plus petite structure il pourrait vraiment faire un bon en avant avec un chef de meilleur qualité. Dans l’absolu ce n’est pas au niveau de l’endroit. Dommage. Mais le trio de la mer et le bœuf sont très bons. Quand on l’a compris on ne mange que ça et ça va :). 3. Le manque de clarté. - je parlerai spécifiquement du fameux tour privé à un prix très élevé. Il est indiqué que vous pouvez composer à votre aise. En discuter avant et que l’équipage évitera les lieux des tours organisés depuis El Nido. Alors on a probablement pas eu de chance mais on a ni eu de briefing. Ni de choix. Et ce malgré que j’ai demandé à la réception s’il fallait emporter des choses avec nous. (Les fameuses Aquashoes nécessaire pour le secret lagon et tous les endroits rocheux). De plus l’équipage nous indique que l’hôtel leur a demandé de faire le tour A !!! Absurde puisque justement c’est un tour privé spécial. Encore plus absurde sachant que le capitaine m’indique les 4-5 lieux du tour A en me cité fièrement la plage des 7 commandements. (Celle où se situe le Vellago) … Heureusement que j’ai bien parlé avec lui pour qu’ils nous emmènent faire un bout du C et du B. 4. Facture pas détaillée.

• L (9/5): Highly recommend as a romantic get-away. - All the staff were just lovely - welcoming and friendly. Our cocktails and dinner on the beach with a stunning sunset, candles and torches would be hard to beat. The chef did an excellent job catering to difficult food allergies. Snorkeling off the beach was super easy and the water clear with lots of lovely soft corals. Great fun. Lazing on our porch just watching the view was super relaxing. Highly recommend as a romantic get-away.

Für einen romantischen oder familiären Aufenthalt, ohne Stress, bestens geeignet. Die Anlage hat nur 6 Zimmer. Die Betreuung ist sehr herzlich und individuell. Das der Aufenthalt zu kurz war. ;-)

• Thomas-Christian (9/5): Tolle Erfahrung - Ganz tolles Team, hervorragendes Essen, top Service! Ein tolles kleines Hotel, abgelegen an einem privaten Strand. Kann nur mit dem Boot erreicht werden. Die Mitarbeiter dort haben sich unglaublich viel Mühe gegeben und uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Beispiel: es wurden sofort Strandliegen für uns bereit gemacht mit Sonnenschirm und es kam sogar jemand vorbei und hat uns die Füße massiert, ohne Aufpreis. Von allen Hotels, die wir auf Palawan getestet hatten (es waren 4) war im Vellago das Essen & Service eine Klasse besser. Die Abholung funktioniert nur mit dem Boot. Es gibt allerdings keinen Steg, da die Abholung an einem kleinen Restaurant Strand erfolgt und man muss mit Badesachen durchs Wasser waten. Am Ziel ist es genauso. In unserem Fall war der Wind etwas stärker, und wir waren bis zum Oberkörper im Wasser)) Das Gepäck wurde von der Bootsmannschaft trocken in das Boot verfrachtet, da gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Das kleine Boot wurde auf dem Weg ganz schön durchgerüttelt, und es war auf jeden Fall eine Anreise, die man nie wieder vergisst. Da wir die Honeymoon Suite hatten, war das Bett aus früheren Zeiten schon hart beansprucht worden.^^ Hier würde es sich lohnen, mal ein neues Bettgestell anzuschaffen….
• Rachel (8/5): Relaxing Honeymoon Experience - My husband and I went for our honeymoon and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all our needs and were very kind and hospitable. The resort itself is very small (6 units), eco-friendly, and located in a small jungle on an island. Due to this, it is helpful to go in with a mindset that air conditioning will not be unlimited, there will be bugs, and food is only accessible from the resort itself. We did have to pay additional money, as it was not an all inclusive resort, however, my husband and I enjoyed the rest we got and felt the staff did all they could to help us feel comfortable the entire stay. There are even dogs that allow you to pet and play with them too. When it was just us on the island, they even created a beautiful romantic dinner set up on the beach for us. We went during rainy season but still were able to do a private island hopping tour, relax on the beach, and go into town.
• Van DG (10/5): One of the best resorts - This will probably be one of the best reviews that I can give. Saying that "the stay here is worth it" is an understatement! First of all, the location, the aesthetic of the resort, and the island itself is one of the most beautiful places that you can go to in El Nido! Conveniently located at the seven commando beach, when the tourists are not there the location itself makes it almost exclusive. The clarity and the color of the water itself is beautiful and specially during the sunny days you just can't help but swim. They offer free kayaking and snorkeling and the coral formations down below are outstanding and the fishes were pretty too. The mountain ranges were Instagram able and the sunset was amazing. All the staffs and the personnel were really hospitable. From the arrival itself the airport pickup was helpful. Then when we arrived at the bay area, Captain Fiddy and Roy carried our big luggages while it was raining and even kept it from touching the ground and the sea shore. He was a great captain and our speedboat travel was really comfortable even though it was raining hard during our arrival. At the shore when we arrived, we were already being greeted by ALL the staffs and they were waving at us from afar! They were waving for about 5-10 minutes even when we were not there yet, and when we arrived they even helped us and washed the sands from our feet. Now that's premium service! And even the dogs were welcoming too. There were resident dacshunds: max and zorro, and some other dogs as well (Pedo, Brownie, Bella). Ed and Fran ushered us perfectly into our room and explained everything well. Coming to the room itself, we can immediately feel the serenity and the lux vibe. It was a mixture of tropical and luxury essence. There was a custom welcoming board/ leaf and we felt more welcomed. Then come the lunch time and dinner time. The food was perfect and we couldn't pick any flaw from it. Leaving and going home. Lol

• Gayane (10/5): Truly memorable - OMG. I will never forget this place, and its so unfortunate that English is not my native language to describe the emotions I have well enough. I am just really happy I trusted my gut and for the 1st time didn’t pay attention to some bad reviews that were left in the booking website. This is a romantic escape from the crowds and noise, with its emotionally overwhelming views, the kindest staff, the perfectly decorated rooms, nicest beach with turquoise waters. Me and my husband have been there for 3 days only, then had a booking for 3 more days at Cauayan resort. And the comparison I am doing after the experience we had at next resort with twice more price. Well, was not bad, but never the same emotions. We really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff at Vellago, I will never forget their goodbye waving hands in the air for about 10 minutes, the perfect preparation for breakfast and dinner, I mean it, Bambi you will always be in our hearts. If we ordered the breakfast for 9AM, he was starting the preparations for only our table 1 hour before with so detailed touch. If one day I have my resort, I hope I can have at least one person like Bambi in my staff, it felt like it was his home, and we were his closest relatives, not standard hotel guests. Yes, we felt special in Vellago, really special, thank you all for that, guys. When we were out from the room for 5 minutes only, coming back we found a new decoration touch on curtains, the fresh water is filled, the candles are lighted, like everything was perfect. The food at the restaurant is delicious.
We enjoyed our stay very much guys, you made it really memorable, the whole staff went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this place for 100% percent to someone who enjoys himself without crowds, who really needs an escape in the nicest waters and virgin nature,and who wants to reconnect with him/herself again. When we stayed here, we happened to be the only guests, so we had the entire beach to ourselves — it was such a luxurious and unforgettable experience ✨ Getting to the beach where the hotel is located by boat was such an exciting experience! We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and we never felt the need to go back to town — everything we needed was right here. Snorkeling gear and kayaks were available for free, so we were able to fully enjoy the ocean as well! The room and interior design were absolutely beautiful, and having breakfast on the terrace was such a lovely way to start the day. This hotel is perfect for escaping the crowds and noise of the city and experiencing the true luxury of island life. But above all, what touched us the most was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They went above and beyond our expectations and arranged everything to make sure our time here was truly special. • Julia (10/5): Paradise Island! - This place is unreal! We stayed in the Deluxe Villa with sea View and it was amazing! On arrival, we were greeted by the staff with a refreshing drink and the best welcome possible. Our room was ready early and they allowed us in. The food was a 5 star resort with a new specials menu every night. Snoring and kayaking was free and we saw so many creatures including a sea turtle! There was little reason to go on the hop on/off boat rides because this resort is based at one of the stop offs (plus the boats are crowded and sweaty!) The owner was great too.... warm and personable and took pride in making this place one of the best. We also had massages on our balcony- they sorted it all. Breakfast was one of the best I've had! On the last night, we had an exclusive area made up just for us with lights and it was so so pretty. Book it! You won't regret it.

• Arjuna (8/5): - They have a boat that will bring you to the property. It is absolutely beautiful in a perfect location to unwind and get away. The staff are very friendly and try to accommodate every request. However, if you are vegetarian or have any special food requirements, don't stay here. We stayed for 4 nights and could not eat almost anything that the resort provided. The food is very expensive but not very good quality, with extremely limited options for vegetarians. Even if you aren't vegetarian, paying $20-30 USD for a meal (per person) that is sub par at best is not acceptable for a resort with this price tag. Inedible stale muesli for breakfast, and Eden cheese quesadillas? We requested vegetarian food on our first day and by the 4th day they still could not provide. But they charge P800 for a boat ride if you need to go to town for food. We were constantly hungry in a place we paid over $400 a night to stay at. The tours they offer are more than double the price of other places. Other than that, the rooms have an absolutely beautiful view, the staff is very friendly and helpful as much as they can, they clean the rooms daily, and offer a VIP experience. Just be ready to pay a lot for everything, only breakfast is included, you will be isolated from the town so you depend on the resort for everything, which would be fine if they had better food. I will say the drinks are excellent 👌 I want to thank the staff who made our stay as pleasant as they could.

The rest room and shower literally are in your bed, the whole room shower and restroom is one space!!! Don't plan to use your laptop/tablet cause no wi-fi at the hotel!!! also don't expect to watch TV neither!!! Expected from a very expensive place to get much more, I paid over 26 hundred dollars for 5 nights but left after 3 nights!!! to another hotel!!!

• Nathalie (9/5): Wonderful Honeymoon Stay - Staying in Vellago was a dream! A short boat ride from town, beachfront. We staying in Honeymoon suite and deluxe king room and they were pretty similar for the most part but Honeymoon suite had better bathroom and bedding. Views and breakfast were amazing for both. FYI: this us a relax hotel… if you need to go to town it’s about 25 USD roundtrip. We did a private full day tour in their speedboat and it was amazing!!! Amazing lunch, guide and worth the $ for the boat in comparison to group tours or even private standard boat from town. The boat transfers were pricey. So plan your stay wisely.
• Daniel (4/5): Great location and potential but way overpriced and service below standard - Fantastic location and beautiful boutique resort, but much of its huge potential is quite badly managed. The resort is located next to the Seven Commandos beach and only accessible with speed boat. Too bad that to our surprise this is free only once and then you have to pay for a 5 min ride each time. The cost for a night there is quite high they don’t include the boat nor airport transfer car. At the resort where everything is very pricey including any tour they offer which are 4/5 times normal rate. The food selection is quite limited and often things on the menu are not even available. Also, the breakfast is included but quite basic and if you order more than one thing they make you pay extra while delivery is slow. It seems like the management there is not really from hospitality sector and have no clue about guest service: barely a greeting in a hotel with 8 rooms and evident lack of professionalism and care. In particular the male manager was totally unfriendly, not even said hi or a word asking about how is our stay which is minimum, both were just sitting at the bar doing their thing and closed in their own the world. A good hospitality is also about relationship. On the contrary, the the staff was friendly and truly hard working but often lost and making mistakes with orders, timing and bad communication. No wonder as they don’t get a good example and are made work for 12 hours with 3 hours break; they do their best but look all tired and unhappy. The room was very nicely decorated but there were several things missing, like soap and creams (and although we ask repeatedly for refill it didn’t happen), we had to chase also for clean towels, and other things were damaged or not working properly (fan on the balcony, holes in curtains, stereo etc). Again, this is hopefully for the management to read and take action, going to check the rooms regularly and fixing issues instead of sitting the whole day at the bar doing who knows what. See above… There would be more, like no shower on the beach?!?

• Kristine (10/5): - Well what can I say - this place is fabulous - we were treated like a prince and princess from the moment we arrived. Imagine how you feel approaching a resort with everyone standing waving and waiting for your boat to bring you to shore! Cold towels and a beautiful drink to welcome you. The experience though begins well before this with a private transfer from the airport to the beach and then a launch out to the resort. All smooth and easy. As for the resort .... everyone is just so lovely - beautful people with gorgeous personalities and smiles. We loved our breakfasts each morning on a stunning balcony - plenty of options - we did try most of them. Dinner each night on the beach was magic - all choreographed so no two nights were the same - I am sure they even organised the stunning sunsets. All the staff were outstanding and Herwin especially was a delight - we spent seven nights here and were so relaxed and pampered. Loved every minute and can definitely recommend at stay here at this little slice of paradise.

You can choose what you want for breakfast and dinner, and it's really delicious. The room interior is Bali style and wonderful, and the bathtub is big and you can relax in it. The internet connection is weak.
• Kiwanuka (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were extremely friendly and professional in every facit beyond imagination. There was an exceptional attentive to detail from the moment of your arrival to the last day of your stay. The resort has a total of 6 rooms with at least a 20 plus full time staff that resides on-site, providing a round the clock service. Matter of fact, they were so concerned because we had an early flight that they made us breakfast doggie bags to take with us on our way to the airport. Our room was exquisitely maintained throughout our stay. The bedsheets were changed every day, and every time we came back to our room throughout the day, we found it cleaned and reorganized as though no one had been in it. Their on-site restaurant was one of the best restaurants on the island, matter of fact, we never ate at any other restaurant throughout our 8 days of stay, and the in-house Vellago Resort restaurant had a variety of menu options to choose from. Every night, there was a new menu, and the romantic dinner was nothing short of a fairytale moment. It was so impressive that my spouse was flabbergasted and couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the night.

• Liam (10/5): Must go - Amazing Stay at Vellago Resort! The entire team were such legends, by the end, we knew everyone’s names. It was like staying with a big happy family. They waved to us as a team when we arrived and when we left! It’s the small things that made it go good - not to mention the big things (the accomodation, food, view, service and the list goes on). Must note: the photos definitely do not do it justice. Vellago Resort truly blew us away! Having traveled around the Philippines, I can honestly say this place is a must-visit. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—Dean and Aiza at the front office were incredibly helpful, and James, Bong, and Kath served up some fantastic drinks at the bar whilst always maintaining the amazing presentation of whatever was ordered. Hats off to Chef Peter and Deth - every meal was spot on. We were super impressed with not only the quality of the cooking but also the produce. A huge shout out to Herwin for taking such amazing care of us and making us laugh constantly. The housekeeping team—Marlon, Rose, and Pheng - kept our room spotless and took whatever opportunity they had when we were not inside to clean everything, change towels, top up water etc. The beach was beautiful and well taken care of by Ronel, Ernie, and Aik, and Captain Jomarmade our island trips super smooth. One last mention to Ryan one of the carpenters that took me for a night dive to collect some fish. Such a great bloke. I couldn’t fault a single thing. Vellago is definitely a place I’ll be recommending and I can’t wait to come back! Thanks again team! Amazing trip Nothing!! Absolutely amazing!
• Thomas (10/5): A little gem in paradise with an outstanding service. - The Vellago resort is a little gem in paradise. We enjoyed every second during our five nights. Already from the beginning, we know it was the right decision. The whole team welcomed us while we approached the resort by boat. The rooms are beautiful decorated and enough space to get some privacy if necessary. The bar and restaurant at the beach have great drinks and special dishes, fresh cooked, even the bread was self made. Every day you have a different menu with local and international dishes. Some day we just relaxed at the resort, some days we made excursions, like the 1 day trip to the island with the speedboat. We have been so impressed about the health of every spot we visited. We got paella for lunch with fresh fruits and drinks. Another day we had a sunset trip to a hidden beach where and got one of the best sunset ever. The whole team is very service oriented and friendly. A big thank to Hirwan. His happy personality and professionalism keeps the whole team together and gave all the guest the feeling to be special and feeling home.

The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay 10/10. Highly recommend organising some scuba while on the island. The only thing I would say is take snacks because while the food is great there are no mini snack options for those who like to snack.

This boutique resort has six rooms, all with separate access, terrace, beautiful sea view while immersing in the surrounding forest. A few steps and we were enjoying the colourful underwater life, including the sea turtles or the late afternoon kayaking to the nearby beaches returning in the wonderful sunset. The fantastic staff provided everything for our comfort and privacy. -

• Avann (10/5): We will be back - this place has touched our hearts. Very romantic and private, couple retreat. - Boutique hotel, with only a limited amount of rooms, means the staff get to know you and by the end you feel like family. They greeted us upon our arrival, gave us shell necklaces and washed the sand off our feet. The room was exquisite with so many nice little bits of attention to detail in the interior design. If you like Asthetics, this is the location for you. The food was excellent and having breakfast served on the balcony each morning with a good selection to pick from from the menu will be truly missed and hard to find elsewhere being able to have that view when you wake up and whilst you eat and being able to hear the break of the waves from your own pillow, even with the doors, a window shut is priceless. Daisy, Herwin, and the captain, we were particularly fond of and would be the reason we would come back again. This property is for couples and lovebirds, as we were known to the staff. If you are seeking privacy and a retreat from crowds, this is the place for you. It’s hard to find anything I didn’t like about the property. The internet speed is not great, however this is due to a cellular only connection as no phone line or broadband connection. Please note - although on the map it looks like it’s possible to to travel by road from the resort to el Nido town or corong corong, the resort is ONLY accessible via private speedboat which is 800 php each way, and curfews apply by 17:30, so you have to factor that cost and limitation into your stay. By Philippines standard, the resort is expensive but my fiancée, a Filipina, and me both agree, that you are paying extra for the location, the privacy and the unrivalled hospitality.
