Discreet and helpful staff, great breakfast and beautifully located in the centre of town near the port.

Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un jardin arboré par Nikos qui nous a concocté de jolies assiettes. Hydra est une île magique. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir . Le café du matin. However, the breakfast served at the main hotel was below average. This was our sixth year in Hydra and we are very familiar with pricing. Given its rather further location, pricing is on the high side. The garden was nice however there was cat piss smell in the garden. Although I am a cat lover, I d rather not have this smell having paid over 400 eur / night.

Such kind hospital is not existent since a decade after Covid. My wife and I were so delightful for day tiny room we have but all the facilities beneath quiet and cheerful., fantastic breakfast with all the ingredients you like in a Greek style breakfast. A perfect place for couples of any kind. You will have your breakfast on open air with lemon trees and lime small with limited place but fantastic Concierge and team..

Loved the history and heritage of the Orloff hotel. The terrace could have been more beautifully looked after - more of the Hydra plants and flowers. Would have expected at least complimentary water in the room for the price we paid and a few little extras would have made this stay to live up to expectations of such a top end hotel. Breakfast was OK, just not amazing. Most of the home baked goods like cakes and pies were sadly burned every day.

- meatja13 (10/5): A lovely stay in Hydra port - The hotel is a short walk from the port and a beautifully kept historical building. The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. On arrival we were given a local map and recommendations for eating, we tried three of the four and they were all excellent and all within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Breakfast was served in the courtyard under the lemon trees and there was a good selection. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is a lovely place to stay.

The hotel staff could not be more accomodating or lovely. Located close to the main centre but far enough away to be super peaceful. I don't think you could improve anything. It was perfect. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

- aieljafar (10/5): Absolutely Amazing Experience - We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights at the Orloff Boutique Hotel, and we loved every minute of it. It's a great hotel that's just far enough away from the main port area to be quiet, but close enough to make it an easy walk. We went with two other couples who stayed in the main hotel while we stayed in the Nido Suite in the Legacy Orloff building. The Nido Suite was great and the bed was super comfortable. It is a little further of a walk, and up a bunch of steps, so if you aren't as keen on that type of walk, then I recommend staying at the main hotel. Our friends said their rooms were great as well, so it shouldn't be a problem which room you pick. For amenities, the WiFi was strong with easily getting 50 Mbps anywhere in the hotel grounds. They kept the hotel secure at night, so you had to have a key or fab to get into the hotel grounds themselves. We had no issues whatsoever while on the island, but definitely gave my wife a stronger feeling of safety. As for the staff, they were amazing! They were very helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond in every category. The breakfast chef, Nikos, was absolutely amazing. He made our group's day every morning. After the first morning, he knew our spot and had pots of coffee already out and ready for us to partake in. He kept offering to make different coffees for us, and made sure we always had enough coffee. The breakfast bar itself had a plethora of food and options, and we always loved the rotating dish that Nikos would make. The front staff in Angeliki and Paschaline were both so helpful. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat or which beaches to go to. They also made sure we had everything, even when we were out in the courtyard just having a great time. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel for our inaugural trip to Idra, and they made it such a delight that we are already talking about when we can get back. You can bet that when we do, we'll be staying at the Orloff Boutique Hotel.
- Florin (9/5): Hidden jam - We simply loved the place and want to come back. Paschaline and Nikos made us feel welcomed and important. They are the real assets of this place. This boutique hotel is very well located, a couple of minutes walk from the harbour, and the staff is very warm and helpful. Ask for a room upstairs, they have a beautiful view, and give you a very romantic feeling. If you want to read, drink wine, relax and enjoy the silence, they have an inner garden, which is an oasis of confort and good taste.
- gpdLondon (10/5): Favourite place to stay - We have stayed in a variety of places on Hydra over the years: guest houses, hotels, self catering. This was the best. The hotel itself is a lovely building, the people who work there are charming, friendly & efficient. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, and quiet too. The breakfast is excellent with home made pastries etc, and the little shady garden is a great place to sit beneath pomegranate trees. That’s a real plus in the heat. The location is very very good, a short walk from the port up a gentle slope. I think the only steps are those up to the hotel door. Thoroughly recommended and we hope to return.

- Konstantinos (8/5): Great hotel but inaccurate room description. - The hotel is very nice. The room is very comfortable and well equipped, especially for small island standards. The breakfast in the garden is very good. The staff is very polite, always available and helpful. The location is also great. Overall a great hotel. The property has two rooms with the same name (Superior Double Room) but only one of them has an outdoor terrace and a city view (as per the description). This is not clear at the time of booking. From the pictures in the listing only one (of the bathroom) was from the room we were given that had a window overlooking a wall and one towards the internal courtyard. While the hotel is great otherwise, the fact that their listings are not transparent is unacceptable. We chose this hotel over another just so we could have the outdoor terrace. When we requested a room change, there was no room available and the staff did not offer any kind of remedy.

Th staff were also amazing (house keeping, breakfast staff...). Wa would like to thank Angeliki who took care of us the whole time and did a tremendous job. We hope to come back again very soon !

- I4937HMkenk (10/5): Wonderful experience at the Orloff on Hydra - We had a delightful stay in Hydra at the Orloff in their new annex. It is well located, a few minutes from the main harbor on a quiet street, close to many shops and restaurants. The suite was quiet, immaculate, beautiful and comfortable and full of light. It was ideal for what we wanted a romantic, private, luxury getaway. Getting to Hydra was quick and easy from Pireus. Once there, the island was very pleasant and the beaches were very nice, esp. St Nikolas, the furthest away but so beautiful. It is very nice being somewhere with no motor vehicles. The staff - everyone - at the Orloff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond our expectations in helping us make the trip a great success and we would happily return and visit again.

- sandyw571 (10/5): Beautiful stay in Hydra - We stayed in the new Lido Suite for three nights and our stay was wonderful. The room was very well appointed and the staff was attentive. The room was located steps and stairs away from the main hotel but we were assisted with our luggage and we found the location quiet and peaceful. The breakfast each morning was fresh and plentiful and again the staff was attentive. The hotel staff assisted us with making reservations for dinner and trips to the local beach. Wonderful visit and we highly recommend.

- NeilH526 (10/5): Next to the old Pharmacy - OK it's Hydra , so you have to drag your bags (or get a donkey) from the quayside. It's initially a bit tricky to find it - but look for the Pharmacy signs. The hotel is certainly Boutique - very well appointed and even with an up-to-date Smart TV . The staff couldn't do more to help and it was a delight to meet them. The old fabric of the building has been very well restored and the breakfast offering was very satisfactory.

And so it is; it's a very decent and quiet hotel with beautiful details and individual cosy rooms. We spent a wonderful week as a family and also thanks to the advice of the always friendly staff, we found great restaurants, tavernas and hiking routes. Last but not least they gave us recommendations for various beaches which was very helpful. We discovered a new favorite destination and we promised ourselves to return.
