Guest Reviews
- Paul (6/5): - The owners were friendly and helpful. Beds and linens clean. The room though needed basic maintenance. Sink drain stopper disconnected and toilet seat loose. Hot water slow, air conditioner a little weak.
- Robert (4/5): - This motel is way overpriced for what it offers. There are many budget motels closer to Portland that are not on Expedia that looked better.
- Michael (8/5): A Place to Crash - It was clean and comfortable. Located on a busy road.
- Mark (8/5): - Nice friendly people the room was in good condition rates are affordable and only 3 miles off the coast and the surrounding units were quiet.
- Tammy (6/5): - Cute, old fashion room. Very clean. Not many electrical outlets since it's an older room. They did have a lamp with an outlet. But, my phone charger would not stay connected to it. It kept coming unplugged. Main office smelled of cigarette smoke. Only had a counter top ice maker in main office. The room had Roku and it kept going offline. So, couldn't watch tv. Loud road noise since it's on a main road.
- Nichole (10/5): - Great stay!
- Beverley (10/5): - Motel was very clean, staff was friendly, and coffee was ready in the office first thing in the morning.
- Joanna (8/5): - It was conviently located.what ivdidnt like was that when I opened the room there was what looked liked saw dust on the floor just as you entered the room. Other then that it was an ok room
- Theresa (8/5): - The management was very accommodating and the room was very clean. Great room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never shsin - Dirty rooms, kicked out 2 days early even though I had it reserved. The days in advanju
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My only complaint was the floors were dirty. Our feet were black from walking on them barefoot. Cute little place though.
- Veronica (8/5): - The owner/front desk dude was pleasant & helpful!
- Brenda (6/5): . - The owners were friendly and accommodating. The wifi was terrible. They had streaming and HULU, when it worked. I would have liked a hair dryer in the bathroom. The room was clean but try to get a good night sleep with the racetrack outside your door was impossible.
- Kevin (10/5): - Location and price
- Christian (6/5): - Mold and mildew above the door on the ceiling.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The only thing was that required a Suspection of room before leave to make Sue no pets or smoking happen.. I didn’t have none those I just had 2yrs old making a mess
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No running water to the shower and only one faucet worked in the bath sink. Furniture old and tattered no cable tv but we did have Hulu. Will not be staying there again
- Lauri (8/5): - Very nice owner. Simple but all ya need if you’re just sleeping.
- Joseph (10/5): - Clean and comfortable.
- Jessica (2/5): HORRIBLE - We tried to book this room through hotels.com when we went to verify our booking through the app and online it said we had no room. Called the owner he stated no room was register under either of our names. Woke up this morning to my account being charged. Called the owner and he refused to fix this issue stating “I never called and to take the loss” will never recommend this place and will be contacting hotels.com as well as the east view motel later this morning to get my money back from the fraud. Ended up staying at the Sanford inn and they are wonderful!
- Merriann (6/5): - Run down but clean for the most part. Way overpriced $199 a night for nothing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They were friendly, but the room was stuffy and smelled musty. There was mold on the ceiling over the door. We chose not to extend our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Older motel clean and comfortable rooms staff very friendly
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The A/C was yellow, didnt blow cold air, and when the fan was running all we could smell was mold. We both have mold allergies and felt ill the next day. Longest, most humid, smelly night of my life. The room wasnt very clean, the floors left dirt on our socks. For the price we paid it felt like we were robbed. Will not be returning.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I arrived in the evening to check in, but there was nobody in the office despite the "open" sign in the window. I tried ringing the door bell and calling the phone number multiple times with no response. After two hours of waiting, I was able to get a room at a nearby hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The water took ten minutes to get hot . The floor was not clean. They don’t give you any conditioner . There is no cable tv just roku that cuts out every 5 minutes. But foir the price the room was good. The sheets were clean . The area is good
- Shany (10/5): - Very nice people, great and vast service. They upgraded our room at no additional cost just because one was available. The room was in a good size and clean. Overall very recommended.
- DeniseBBailey (6/5): Clean, serves the purpose - Check in/out was easy, the woman was pleasant & informative.
The room was clean, neat & smoke free. The owner/clerk said they had just repainted the rooms. The refrigerator, microwave, heat & lights worked.
The beds were harder than I like but my pillow was great. Each bed had 3 pillows. The other 2 pillows were too thick for me.
The shower had weaker water pressure than I like but I had the 2nd shower which may have affected it.
We put a hand towel over the cloth chair seat to cover a small discoloration/stain.
Because of Covid, I brought my own pillow cases/towels & used Lysol wipes on hard surfaces to play it safe.
It is not a luxury hotel but it serves the purpose. I was satisfied with my stay,
- Kirk (2/5): - They were shut down, and no one was there. I had to look for a different motel to stay at.
- Q5056EUtimr (2/5): Booking Canceled by business - 10 days before our booked stay the Motel emailed me and stated my reservations where canceled. It seemed that the owners were going on a trip of their own and since they could get better rates they decided to close for the season and cancel all remaining reservations. They suggested we make other arrangements to stay elsewhere.
Apparently our trip wasn't as IMPORTANT as their own.
They did recommend that we contact the Ramada which in their own word was "much batter place to stay than we".(spelling and grammar was their choice)
You be the judge if you would want to stay here... I know this won't be an option at any time for us.
- Slim (4/5): - Disgusting place. Saw hair between the sheets so wouldn’t sleep under the blankets. Rate this place a rate of 2.
- Julie (10/5): Week-end family outing - The room and check-in area very clean. And was very quiet no problems what so ever. Would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very nice, clean, comfortable.quite enjoyable
- Darek (2/5): - I do not recommend this establishment. It was not worth the money we paid for. the smell in the room is absolutley disgusting in the room, the key did not work to even lock the door when leaving. The beds were old and broken, the whole night we were sliding down the bed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location is good, a short drive to beach. Good for the money and good for a short stay, however did not like the neighbors waking us up with loud motorbike noise, other than that very quiet. Some sites mention a pool, actual pool is under repairs. Staff was helpful. If you are looking for a budget clean place this would be ok!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was so dirty-mud all over the floor. There were buys crawling out of the 1970 air conditioner. The room was supposed to be non smoking and upon entering the room it stank like stale smoke. The bed was so uncomfortable we didn't sleep all night long.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s definately not a high end motel but for the money it’s a good place to sleep
- Tammy (6/5): misunderstanding turned lesson learned. - We got to town around noon, check-in was between 2pm & Midnight so we spent the day at the beach. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 pm and I said I had a reservation, the lady behind the desk said, somewhat incredulously, "you couldn't possibly". I showed her my confirmation. She said that they had charged the card I used to book the room with that day and it had been declined (when I booked the room it said to pay when you checked in). She said they tried to get a hold of me all day (I hadn't had service on my phone since we left VT) and had re-rented my room. It was a very busy wknd and we could not find a room in the area or along our 4+ hr drive home, which made for a very long day.
In hindsight I should have found a way to call during the day to confirm my reservation and been more cognizant of which card I had used to book the room, but it did not occur to me that they would charge it and I planned to pay with cash when I checked in.
The woman behind the desk, who was kind and sympathetic, had said that the owners were away and she was just covering. Conversely, when I responded to the hotel's auto-inquiry, admitting my misunderstanding, they were quite rude in reiterating that I should have used a "valid cc" upon booking.
I cannot rate my stay at this hotel because it never happened. I can say that I will not attempt to stay here again, given the unnecessarily caustic tone of their customer service.
Good luck.
- Susan (2/5): - We never got to go. I got to the motel and they had no reservation for me they said Expedia cancelled it. I then called hotels. Com and got no where. They were very discourteous and rude. I have used hotels . Com for years and with past business was a gold member. I will never use you again!
- Go
Rose (6/5): - It was clean, had a working refrigerator and TV.
The bad things were a roach in the bathroom, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes and there was something that looked like dried up puke out side the door. Oh and it was expensive for the condition!
- FM (2/5): - This is the dumpiest hotel that i have ever rented. Large hole to outside under the rusty front door, roof awning about to collapse, peeling paint dingy, scummed out closed pool. not even a one star facility. We didn't stay, left the key in the room and drove home.
- Karla (10/5): Thumbs up! Recommend! Close by amusement parks - Very friendly people! Would stay there again! :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The sheets didn’t look like they had been washed, there was hair and dirt on them.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The woman at the front desk at check-in was extremely friendly and nice and that is about the only good thing I can say about this motel. The pictures online look nice, that is deceiving. It is very dumpy looking once you get there. In the online photo's, it showed a nice open pool, but the pool was not only closed, but over grown with weeds and surrounded by a very rusty old fence. It looked like it had not been operational in years. They advertised coffee in the office but the office was never open in the morning. The parking lot was full of cracks and the place needed a good paint job. I would not even take pictures of the outside because I didn't want anyone to know we stayed in such a shoddy looking place. Inside was not too bad, it was clean. The a/c worked good. But it looked very old and dated. It was a close drive to Old Orchard Beach, but on a very busy road with traffic noise all night long. The price was good but you get what you pay for :(
- VT (8/5): - It is an older property. Pool is out of service. Gentleman checking in was nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I’d sleep in my car before I’d stay here again. The sheets weren’t changed, the towel rod was held on by duct tape, no shower pressure. Should have known when you walk in and there’s a sign that says “no refunds”
- Roman (8/5): Great Bang for the Buck! - Great room for price!
- Brandin (4/5): Awful - Motel is run down. Place was a mess. Very out of date.
- David (8/5): Priced right for what it is. - An older roadside motel that is hanging in there. There is a tired old pool out front that looks like it’s been closed for years.
The AC worked, the shower was hot, and the bed was OK. They have planted flowers around the property to make it more inviting. It’s close enough to the coast to serve as home base, but not a place you’d want to hang out at on a rainy day.
- Walter (8/5): OK for a Night's stay - Clean and comfortable and economy priced. Appearance good and room was clean. Downside: soap and toilet paper like super thin - cheap. A/C worked but no auto thermostatic regulation. TV and controller not working properly. Pool not open nor kept up. Not a vacation spot but Good for a night's stay on budget.
- Mindy (8/5): - Bed was comfy. It was convenient to OOB. Friendly staff. Only complaint is the shower water pressure. It was pretty much a trickle.
- Kathleen (8/5): Nice get away - Nice and easy to get to and convenient to other places to visit including local eateries.
- Arthur (6/5): - The person checking us in was very friendly and tried to be accommodating.
What I liked least was the lack of water pressure for the shower and length of time it took to get hot water.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The roof had leaky patched and the room had lots of mosquitoes. The bed sheets and blankets were dirty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pool was in disrepair. Outside was in terrible condition. We didn’t end up staying here. Made a report to AARP about this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst ever - The place smelled like mold and mildew the pool was nothing more than a hole in the ground had no cable they screwed the reservation up and charged us more then agreed upon thank you for sending us to a third world hellhole
- Tony (2/5): - Awful place ac didn’t work bathroom falling apart worst place I ever stayed by far
- TheMike1979 (8/5): - Great price and location. Right on the trolley line to the beach. The room did have a moldy/mildew smell.
- Kathryn (6/5): Can’t say I will stay again - Pictures of a beautiful pool but the pool was closed and full of dirty water that made the bugs unbearable
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was a wreck. Cracked, faded and peeling paint on the whole exterior. Windows boarded up. Place looked like a slum. When my wife and I informed Management that we would not be checking in we were still charged a full nights rent.
- nicholas (10/5): Decent stay for price - The pictures are outdated, they seemed to have updated the place from what you see on the pictures
- Verified traveler (6/5): - NO POOL THAT IS IN WORKING CONDITIONS
IT SHOWS BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF A GREAT POOL YET THE POOL HAS NOT BEEN IN USE FOR OVER 5 years!!!!! Rooms were clean and had hard wood floors 3 pillows on each bed very low water pressure in the shower ac mini fridge microwave all work cable tv with a decent size television 15 minutes from Walmart and 5 minutes from the beach and boardwalk staff was friendly and helpful 3 minutes from Dunkin’ Donuts also had coffee available in the office nothing to do at the room other than watching television no play area no pool tables no area to walk around
- Lincoln (2/5): Aweful stay - No hot water, no key, no manager
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bedbugs - We spent one night at East view and we will never return. We have been allocated room 20 and it was full of bedbugs that we could easily see running on the bed sheets. It was horrible!
That motel is not maintained and there are people living there. It’s probably the “cheapest” option in the area but it’s very expensive for what is it. I would definitively spend more cash to stay at a way better place. Do not stay there!
- Rebecca (4/5): Hmmmm - The only good thing about the Easttown Motel is that it is close to the Portland Jetport. Otherwise, it is dingy, dirty, and dangerous.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - RATCHET, nasty hotel, HONESTLY. Lovely family, but this place needs to be demolished and rebuilt.
- Jeanette (2/5): - I was eaten up by bed bugs we stayed only one night and I have close to 40 bites. This was a last minute booking so I did not look at the reviews . When I called the mgr he was saying it was the first he had heard of it but the reviews say otherwise. Pool was out of service and motel was under construction
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was nice
There was no pool available as advertised
it was there but didn't look like it had been operating all summer.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Did not end up staying due to an incredibly bad experience with what the hotel says was another guest
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very old and need repair pool close and parking in bad shape
- Troy (2/5): Way over priced for what you get - This motel is old. Room was clean with clean towels. Pool was closed off and decrepit. There are no amenities . Only good thing about it is it’s proxim to Old Orchard beach.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed bugs - Bed bugs in room 8
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall itt was a good stay. Close to the beach and other places
- Kathleen (8/5): - The room was clean, the shower was nice, the bed was super comfortable. Over all, for the price we were pretty happy.
- Julie (4/5): - Glad it just for a night
- Janet S (8/5): Just fine... - The motel suited us just fine for one night on the way to visit with friends. We didn't need anything fancy, though the room was a bit pricey, even for July. The traffic noise was not bothersome at all. I forgot my toothbrush and the owner said he would keep it at the desk for me to pick up when I return.
- maxime (8/5): Nice hôtel for the price - We book the room at the last minute it was the best price. Nice room . We just need a place to sleep .
The pool is not in fonction but anyway we go there for the beach.
- Chris (2/5): - This is the most run down property we have ever stayed at. Patched holes in the wall, doors that don't close properly. The "pool" listed as an amenity looks like it hasn't been open in years. Stained or ripped furniture in the room and everything on the exterior is in need of paint or repair. Luckily the sheets and towels were clean. Other than that, nothing was good.
- Jim (6/5): - Dated, needs updates and upgrades, but very clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was clean. The bed was comfortable. We stayed for 1 night. The place is dated. The pool wasn't in service but we weren't staying there for it. The bath had no hair dryer. On the whole not a bad place. For one or two nights it will do.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We stayed during a peak weekend, and options were few. This place is fine in a pinch, but not for a “special weekend”.
If price is your primary concern, this is certainly worth a look
- A (4/5): Convenient location but bare bone. - This motel is at a convenient location to go to airport, beach, eatery and groceries
- Laura (2/5): Not a nice place to stay. - The owner was rude to us when we checked in because I had one extra person with me then what the reservation had said. The cost of the room was not bad when I booked it at $65.00 a night. The owner told me that he would have to change me a extra $15 a night for the extra person because he has to pay online booking fees, and if that person is going to shower that is extra water the he has to pay for. So I said fine. Went to the room the only good thing I can say about the room is that the beds were comfortable. The room was old and smelled really bad. The whole hotel was so run down he only had two other people staying in the hotel at the time were there. We only ended up staying one night out of the three that we had planned on being there for. I could not stand the smell in the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very outdated motel, but clean. The pool, which was not open, had a ripped liner and was filled wit filthy water.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No hot water. Unfriendly staff. Poor condition of grounds and room.
- Dawn (10/5): Very pleased - Very nice room for the night
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bare bones cheap hotel - Was only there to rest my eyes for a few hours shower and get ready for an event was fine for that !
- Francis (6/5): - Crappy matress an noisy fridge, but it was ok for the price
- Chrissie (10/5): - Staff is great, rooms are clean, bathroom could use some updates, but great place to stay for the price.
- Casey (8/5): Hotel in saco - It was MAY 1st in Maine. They had just opened up and was the first guest.
Owner was nice and place was simple and 100% fine, maybe even better then expected.
Owner was nice, we talked twice and him being nice does a lot so will stay again easily.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and Nice - Great and affordable place to stay. The motel manager was extremely nice, and the room was exactly what we were looking for, with a one night stay. Simple, affordable, clean, and convenient.
- Benjamin (2/5): Worst room ever - Room smelled musty like an old wet basement construction going on piles of junk wood all in front of the pool fence which was what our view was when we would come and go.
- Savanna (8/5): Exactly what I expected - I needed a bed and a shower. They worked perfect. Staff was very nice. Everything ages with time. This hotel is doing very well with what they have.
- Gaylon (10/5): - We were in late and out early but was a good stay. Booking was perfect as well. Thanks. Will certainly do the same over again
- Christopher (6/5): Good for no frills - Good for a quick local stay when you are looking for no frills.
- Ashley (4/5): Hotel in Saco - The room was nice, it was close to OOB and thats what we wanted. When we pulled in we noticed that the pool, that they advertise for, didn't have any water in it, and then notices the pool was falling apart.
Then we got into our room to feed my 2 7 month old kids, went to heat the water up and noticed it was unplugged my husband plugged it in, but then noticed it was cracked all the way thru so we were unable to used the microwave. The fridge wasn't cold. Its just very false advertisement when we are spending $324.00 for 2 nights and we literally can't use anything that we wanted the room for. I went and spoke to the person at the desk and they said I'm sorry but didn't offer us a discount or anything.
- acct4u2013 (6/5): Clean, friendly staff, inexpensive - Inside was clean, quiet, friendly staff.....outside needs quite a bit of work. But worth the price. A bit far from stores but nice view over wetlands. Pillows and bed were GREAT!! Clean, wooden floors instead of nasty carpet!!!!
- matt (6/5): A little pricey for the condition - A little further from OOB then I would have liked an a little over priced for the condition of the hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good for the price. - Not the best of the motels we went, but worth the cheap price. We got every thing we need, which was a bed and a fonctional shower. The motel was close from restorants and other activities. That's a most!
- Ellielu (4/5): OK for what we needed. A roof for 3 nights. - Did not appear as advertised. They are under renewal/construction so expect in
another year or 2 I would give a better rating. But it was comfortable for what we needed.
We were there to attend Sal. Army Camp days, so were gone all day only there to sleep..
