- Eric (8/5): A++++ convenience when flying to or from FSD - The Aerostay is one of my favorite hotel stays. It’s simple, I love the shower, and I love being able to see the terminal and runway from my room. It takes 6 minutes to go from third floor room to your gate. That’s INSANE!!! The front desk staff is often aloof and unfriendly. I’ve had some good ones and some horrid ones. It’s the only downside (and the price gets a little overly spendy, but you are getting a hotel room attached to the airport). I still love this hotel with all my heart. Home away from home. I’ve stayed at much much nicer, but the convenience is wonderful Just unfriendly staff

- Chanelle (8/5): Best part of Aerostay is the Location. You can't get closer to the Sioux Falls airport. - Location. The hotel is attached to the Sioux Falls Airport (FSD) at the opposite end of the building from baggage claim. There is nowhere more convenient to the airport than Aerostay, especially since our flight from Spokane, WA arrived very late. We just grabbed our luggage and walked down the hallway to the hotel. In the morning, we checked out, walked back down the hallway and picked up our rental car. There is a comfy waiting area with a TV, coffee and books for folks who want to get out of their rooms for a bit. Breakfast is grab and go, but there is a pretty good variety and it is available VERY early, which is convenient if you have an early flight, such as we had for our 2nd stay. Each of the staff was helpful, but not overly welcoming. During our two stays at AeroStay (each end of our trip), we saw four different staff members. Each time we spoke with them (check in and check out), I felt like it was an inconvenience. The rooms are VERY small, so it is perfect for folks just staying after a late arrival or leaving early the next morning for a flight. The hotel is being renovated, so it smells like paint on all the floors. The morning after we arrived, we got our of our room just after 9 am and the grab and go breakfast was already put away. We weren't even given an option for anything (not even to purchase).

- Terry (3/5): I would not recommend this hotel given the lack of functioning elevator and noise. - Convenient location being right on the airport so that one can walk to the ticket counter and gates. The elevators were inoperative and they placed us on the top floor. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs with our luggage to reach our room. We are senior citizens and there was no one available to help us out. When I complained, the desk clerk said she would see about reducing our rate. When we came back from dinner, she offered to move us to a lower floor, which would have meant for us to pack everything up and again haul our bags down the stairs by ourselves. So we declined and just stayed in our original room. When checking out, they didn't give us any sort of discount for the inconvenience. Also, at 3:30am, a loud machine started up right outside the hotel below our room. The sound was deafening and lasted for an hour. At 4:45am, the alarm clock went off, even though we never set it.

So we had to haul our stuff all the way back down to get it figured out & be given a new room. No offer of a discount or anything. I love that the hotel is connected to the airport terminal so that I can walk through the door and go to the restaurants in the terminal or to check in for my flight when it’s time. Facility is extremely clean, and offers complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate 24 hours a day. Doesn’t get much better than that
- Jennifer (8/5): - Everything about this property was excellent, except one of the front desk employees was less than friendly. She messed up my reservation and then acted like it was my fault. She was like I was putting her out for doing her job. Totally loved being able to walk into the terminal with our bags and check in and then go back to the room and check out casually. Highly recommend! All the men at the front desk were delightful and friendly, the one woman was not.

There was mold in the shower, the alarm clock was covered in dust, and the sheets looked like there was stuff all over them. It was a convenient location for the delayed flight but I don’t think I will stay there again! Especially for the price I paid.

Staff was not welcoming and made me feel like I was intruding in his screen time at 11:45pm. When I called about the room being very humid and the sheets feeling damp for the moisture in the room, he said he would let someone know in the morning. When I got up after a horrible nights sleep (due to the dampness in the room) I noticed dark mold on the ceiling where the AC came out. Again, I reported this to the morning person at the front desk. She also shrugged her shoulders and said “I will let them know.”

The bed was comfortable, but was broken down in the middle so the wife and I kept rolling into the middle of the bed through out the night. Pillows were a bit too tall and bothered my neck. Note to self get myself a travel pillow. I would stay here again, just bring my own pillow next time and possibly sleep crosswise if the next bed sags in the middle

- Cheryl (10/5): - This hotel is so easy to use when I fly out of SD. Connected to the airport, it makes taking an early flight out or a late flight in super smooth. The corner restaurant in the airport lobby serves excellent drinks and solid bar food. I highly recommend this hotel.
