Besides that, the roof bar was cool and the lobby was inviting. Unique elevators and the rooms were huge with a great layout! Aaron at the valet was super nice and helpful.

We also had dinner in “The Order” one night - the food was exceptional and the outstanding service made the entire meal even better. A first class experience all around!

The architecture is classic early 20th century, but it's been tastefully updated and has a cool vibe going on. Impeccable service and a really good restaurant, The Order. Highly recommended.

Room is nice enough to just stay in and enjoy, lots of conversation areas around it he hotel, and great places to eat within walking distance. When we arrived Stephanie worked with us to get a room that fit our goals. The V2 building gives nice views for spending the day in. Looking for a late night dinner try the tacos at Civil Kitchen.

The bar has great food, and they’ve got a rooftop bar as well. The hotel was clean, cozy, and conveniently located within walking distance to several bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

- 912kristinew (10/5): Stopping Through - The hotel offers a very relaxing atmosphere. The moment you walk into the lobby the decor and the ambiance is very welcoming. The rooms were clean and quite unique. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend you make reservations at the restaurant located in the lobby: The Order, farm to table. The food was phenomenal. The bartender was knowledgeable and quite honestly he was the reason we'd return.
- nomad172 (8/5): Great but cleaning needs to be stepped up for longer stays - Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent rates. House keeping staff are very friendly but no surfaces, floors were ever cleaned during the long term stay. The ceramic coffee cups were never replaced or cleaned and there was no cleaning products to clean yourself. We ended up cleaning the cups with hand soap. I highly recommend the hotel for short stays but not longer stays due to the lack of cleaning. There was a refrigerator but it had the shelving had been removed. I checked out early and moved to a brand hotel.

- Q9292YIsherriw (8/5): Great hotel vibe - Hotel has a swanky vibe with an industrial feel and fabulous lighting and decor. The guestrooms are well lit and nicely appointed. We had a TV issue one evening and Matthew from engineering was great! He had to make two trips but kept a upbeat and friendly attitude despite the late hour. The lobby bar is happening and bartender Brendan is awesome. We also visited the rooftop bar and Ethan took good care of us. The only reason I didn’t give this a five star is the housekeeping is hit or miss. One day two rooms out of our family block didn’t get serviced. They left the cleaning spray bottle in our bathroom, missed refilling items like tissues and water and never bothered with the floor. That being said, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Furniture very scratched and worn.. floors were in need of replacement in bathroom. Wet bar cabinets warped. On a positive note the hotel staff very friendly and professional. The huge tub was the highlight with being so deep and long. Now the only down side was the bed. It was super uncomfortable. Felt like I was sleeping on a rock, along with the pillows being insanely uncomfortable. For the price of the rooms you would imagine the beds with would be heavenly. However, everything else made up for it.

The front desk girl was so kind, professional, and articulate. Our initial reaction to the hotel was “this is beautiful and oh so cool”. The decor is well thought out and the vibe is elevated. Our valet walked us to their newer building in back and took us up to our fabulous room. We had a family wedding to attend and came back later that night to enjoy the incredible rooftop bar. The bartender was so kind and suggested we go outside with our cocktails. The view, the people watching, and music down below were so fun! We highly recommend Hotel Vandivort!

- 101maryjanen (8/5): Almost, but less than perfect - I’ve always loved the highest quality that V strives for, but my last two visits have been under the normal level of expectation. My last two stays, oddly, the trash under the sink and fridge still had the prior guests trash and food. This trip, there were no complimentary waters as I was told “they were out of the free water but I could buy water for $5 in their market.” No, thank you. It’s not difficult to purchase cases of water and use those for the free water you advertise on the website just because you are out of your V labeled water. Then my room had one towel hook hanging out of the wall, the luggage rack was beat to hell looking shabby, and the robe was pilling on the inside and would have left little brown fuzzies all over me had I used it. Cleanliness, other than the trash can, was superb. Bed was extremely comfortable. Live music in the lobby, wonderful. It’s the little things that pull together the great experience of Vandi, so I hope attention can be given to these smaller things to raise the bar back up.

The bed was a bit firm, and the pillows were overstuffed. Because I was on the fourth floor of V2, I had the bar right above me. Nothing like staying awake until 1am because of thumping music and people sliding chairs and tables across the floor. Homeless beggars in the area.
- Spencer (4/5): - The two staff members I interacted with were both rude. The check in desk lady was covered in LGBT paraphernalia and seemed to dislike me or men in general from the moment I walked up. The valet guy was annoyed I asked him were I was supposed to park. Sometimes people can't let the valet park their car for any number of reasons. When I choose to stay at what appears to be a better than average hotel in an area it's so I feel relaxed and comfortable. I can sleep at a fleabag motel if I just want to sleep. I was on a long road trip and I wanted to relax and recharge. Two employees pretty much wrecked that in the first 10 minutes. I avoided interactions with any other staff. Instead of using any of the hotel services I went down the block to the burger joint and enjoyed the staff and the food.
- Aaron (6/5): - The property for the most part is beautiful. Some of the finishes and furnishings are a little worn for only being 10 or 12 years old. The big drawback though is that the Expedia ad does not match the rooms available. The ad literally says showing 11 of 11 rooms for the balcony rooms but the only picture is a room that is vastly different than the room. We got the hotel did their best to make up for this. It ended up being a nice day, but at the end of the day, I still didn’t get the room that I paid for

- Allie (4/5): - Asked if I could cancel but due to their cancelation fees it wasnt worth it so we stayed. Ironically they were 10 minutes late with our room being ready. They also charged 450 dollars extra from my account and refused to acknowledged they screwed up. Told me to contact my bank instead "cause they never charged that".( the expense said Hotel Vandivort...duh) Staff at the hotel itself were rude with a smile on Their face and again...could not acknowledge their mistakes let alone try to fix them. Terrible experience. However vantage rooftop bar and lounge was well worth it. Great customer service and amazing food and drink.

There’s lots of food options right around this hotel, and we also went up to the rooftop bar, which is a blast! Bed was comfortable, clean in the room and all around the grounds, and the staff was nice. Highly recommend.

We had dinner inside the hotel and were blown away by the service. John, our server, was absolutely incredible — attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable. What we love most about staying here is that each visit feels like a new experience. The hotel has such a rich culture and a unique atmosphere that keeps us coming back. Every detail — from the service to the decor — is thoughtfully done and reflects the character of the area. We totally recommend Hotel Vandivort to anyone visiting Springfield. It's one of those places that just keeps getting better. Can’t wait to come back!

- pt853 (10/5): Super cool place - Great hotel, especially for a small metro area. Modern and sleek design, large rooms and in-room coffee. Strong fitness center, and centrally located in town. Staff is helpful, and there is a 24/7 store with very reasonably priced snacks in the lobby.

It had everything we needed and it’s right on the downtown strip for you to walk to anything you wanted to do! We came down for a college visit and only had to drive 4 min to get to the campus! We will definitely stay there again when our kiddo goes to college!
- GoodDesignIndy (8/5): Cool boutique hotel - In the heart of a walkable downtown plus a college town. Upper floors had great views, although our room was in the less convenient catty-corner annex building across the alley. Our 4th floor suite had a private balcony and a turntable stocked with random vintage vinyl records. Fun idea. There is a hip restaurant on the ground floor and a rooftop lounge that we missed due to our short stay. Black Sheep and other restaurants were also nearby, as was a record store that sold vintage receivers and turntables. The staff was friendly and the room was clean, except for someone’s carryout box left in the refrigerator and a hidden wastebasket under the wet bar that hadn’t been emptied. Minor housekeeping oversights that you wouldn’t expect at this price point. Out of the control of the management was the summer Saturday night cruising, accompanied by the loudest engine revving I’ve ever heard. It went on for hours. Overall, however, it was a fun stay.

- diannac939 (10/5): Big City Chic! - What a find! Style and design rivals some of our favorites in Chicago and NYC! Our corner room with a balcony was spacious and very comfortable! Our fur baby was welcomed by staff with treats and pets! Dinner and drinks at The Order were delicious! Very walkable location with several parking options, but you really don’t even need to leave the hotel!

- kc832017 (10/5): Gem for the Queen - The Hotel Vandivort is a true gem for the Queen of the Ozarks. The look is funky. The workout room is above average, the rooms are spacious and the staff is excellent. Their new pre-registration system is excellent.

Great staff fun area but don’t miss the rooftop bar for great view, cocktail and people watching! Enjoyed dinner at Bruno’s Italian restaurant around the corner and breakfast at Gailey’s breakfast Cafe across the street.

- Kenneth (4/5): - We stayed in building #2. The roof top bas was in this building and they told us air conditions were newer. The bed was medium good ( a little hard), no extra blankets. The shampoe and body wash and soap was stinky like some the the mens colognes. They only had two towels in the roomfor two people. I need a hair towel also. Coffee pot was cheap and took forever to warm up. The most disappointing thing was our second night the roof top bar was closed to us for a private wedding party. We were very disappointed in this. When booking, we told the booking girl that we excited about the rooftop bar and this was one reason we booked building 2. After the first night, we left our room expecting expecting new towels and bed made, waters replenished, and coffees. When returning late in the evening, nothing was done to our room. No new supplies. However, the bar had the coldest beer, very good ! Our room had a record player and that was nice. The parking was difficult.
- GCC14173 (10/5): Very cool hotel in Springfield - If you find yourself in Springfield, Missouri, you need to stay here. This hotel was nicer than most of the hotels I've stayed in this year. The room was huge with high ceilings and a good shower. It doesn't feel like a cookie cutter chain hotel. There was free parking in the lot across the street and the new building has a rooftop bar that had great cocktails and nice views of the small downtown.
- Ashten (2/5): - Terrible! For the price of this property they lack majorly, the most uncomfortable hard beds, stiff pillows and thin bedding. But wait there’s more! There’s zero parking for this property so you have to pay $5 every time you leave to park in a garage next door. Lastly the entire area is noisy. We stayed for a week and every evening from 11pm-1/2am you would hear people through town revving engines and that’s all you heard, the rooftop bar played music till an obsurd time on a Tuesday of all days, we were v2 balcony 4th floor room. Never again will we stay here!

Definitely would come back! The only reason I had to take a star off was on day two of my trip when coming into my room both of my keycards locked me out. I went down to the front desk and it was quickly taken care of by the staff member working. But definitely one of the nicest hotels i’ve stayed at in Springfield!

The room was large and comfortable. Being right in downtown was fun with lots of restaurants to choose from. The free parking lot across the street was great. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Our waiter Sunny was very attentive. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The beds are hard as a rock, the blackout shades do NOT blackout, the front desk staff (Shane in particular) are smug and pretentious, I could hear the phone alarm every 15 minutes from the room next door, the parking is atrocious, and they don’t tell you when you book but your room. At be outside of the hotel in a separate building through an alley. People who have given positive reviews must either never stay in hotels or be friends and smile. This hotel is awful. Stay at the Drury ain’t and suites as it will be a better place experience. I’ve stayed at worse. This isn’t far off though.
