- Philip (9/5): Nice clean comfortable motel - Easy check in and room was clean and comfortable. Parking outside room and quiet location. Loved the western movie museum nextdoor to motel Location is at end of main street. Was a brisk walk to restaurants.
- Chris S. (10/5): Great experience and we'd stay here again. - We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable our room was. The place is well cared for.
- Stephanie (10/5): Great motel & location - Great base for both Alabama hills and Mt Whitney portal. Several local restaurants all walkable. Unseasonably hot during our stay (Mid May) so the pool whilst a bit cold, was a welcome quick relief!

- An (10/5): Great convenient and clean place to stay for the value with a refrigerator and microwave! - Great convenient and clean place to stay for the value with a refrigerator and microwave! It's also located right by a Tesla charging station and a McDonald's.
- Carmil (6/5): - It was upgraded and very minimal no tissues pretty basic but clean and upgraded California has a law about surprise charges, and after I’ve already booked when I got there, they added a 4% charge for using my credit card, which was not disclosed, and the staff was rude about it
- John Heekin (9/5): Great pitstop location - Clean, quiet, parking outside. Had a microwave. In centre of town Nothing significant.
- David (8/5): -
- Reno00 (9/5): Will stay again - Old on the outside, new on the inside. Easy location for western film museum and some local restaurant. Parking a bit tight.

- David (9/5): - We needed an affordable place that slept 3 while we explored the Alabama Hills and then travelled on to Death Valley NP. This fit our needs nicely.
- Michael (9/5): - The room condition reflects an obsession by the management to detail. Everything in working order, nothing broken or soiled, furnishings attractive. Pillows too soft.
- JAMES (9/5): Very pleased with everything -

- nkkwontheroad (7/5): Pleasant Stay in the Heart of Lone Pine - There were multiple plugs next to the sides of the bed; very helpful for recharging electronics. Queen bed was comfortable, and there was an ample amount of room to walk around. Shower towels were soft but ... ... the towels seemed small and they weren't very absorbent. Parking lot was small so not everyone can park in front of their room. Also, there was an added % fee ($4+) for the room above what booking.com pre-charged, so I was charged more on-site because I was using a credit card. Since b.com is a credit card arrangement and cash isn't an option, it seems that should be communicated up front.
- Tommye (8/5): - Extremely clean, no frills room. Next to film museum. Hwy 395 road noise could be heard periodically. Limited parking.
- Mary (7/5): good value - no coffee for coffee maker
- John (8/5): Very convenient to the NW entrance to Death Valley entrance. - Check-in was very easy, and the cute lady at the front desk was very gracious. Appreciated the firm bed.. Lower beds would be preferred. Staff should familiarize themselves with the 2 very good restaurants in the town, i.e. The Grill and Alabama Hills. I asked the front desk clerk for a recommendation and she couldn't give any because she was unfamiliar with the communirty.

- Sara (9/5): -
- Eric (8/5): -
- John (8/5): - This is a small simple clean motel. The location was perfect for the activities that we planned.
- Arthur (10/5): - The Trails Motel is the perfect place to stay in Lone Pine. If you are here for the mountain, or just passing through, the Trails Motel is the perfect place to stay.
- Ronny (7/5): -
- Heiko (7/5): -
- Tom (7/5): -
- Prasad (8/5): - There was no daily cleaning of the room, replenishing the supplies, etc.
- Elaine (8/5): - Nice place. Rooms are small but well maintained. Overpriced for an old motel.
- Alan (10/5): -
- Greg (10/5): - I have stayed here many times. A very nice family runs the place.
- Gary (9/5): -
- Mary (8/5): - This is the typical motel with smaller rooms and not much for amenities. Check-in was easy and our room was clean. The bed was average ... not too hard but did have some lumps. Our room was on the end and near the back which was good for noise. Lone Pine is on Highway 395 and semi-trucks pass through on a regular basis. I did sleep well.
We toured the Movie Museum next door and had dinner at a really nice restaurant in the middle of town (Seasons, I think).
- Angela (10/5): - Easy and friendly
- Jennie (10/5): - Resturants near by.
- Chris (10/5): - Three friends and I stayed here for our Mt. Whitney climb.
Pretty standard motel, but the rooms and property were clean and well maintained. Bed was firm but comfortable. There is a pool and laundry room onsite which we used and it worked perfectly.
About a 20min drive from the Whitney Portal and just a short walk to shops and restaurants in town.
The owner/operator was constantly out working and maintaining the rooms and grounds. Seems like they take pride in their work and it shows.
We’d all stay here again when visiting Lone Pine.

- anh (6/5): - Stayed 2 nights. The lady at check-in was unwelcoming, appeared unfriendly. But when we saw her the next day in the parking lot, she smiled and said hello. The Room was on a smaller size, clean but very basic. Towels were very thin, poor quality. Good enough for just get in, sleep, and leave. Would not stay here again.
- William (7/5): -
- John (10/5): - Exceeded my expectations. Perhaps newly renovated room was very nice!
- Dan Pronovost (10/5): Nice, small local motel, well run, by caring owners. - A well run basic motel. Perfect place to be center for a local adventure vacation. Owners very attentive and helpful.
- STEPHEN (10/5): - Friendly place
- Delbert (10/5): - Well maintained facility and clean. Excellent for travelers.
- Glenda (10/5): - This motel was just right for our needs. The air conditioner could have been more quiet but everything else was more than acceptable:)
- Cheryl (8/5): - This was our second stay here this year for just a night to catch some sleep after doing some Milky Way photography in the nearby Alabama Hills. This time there were no parking spots left when we arrived back at the motel around 1:30 am, so we had to park on the street. I got a terrible night of sleep worrying about the car and not being able to get comfortable on the bed. My husband got up at 7:30 am to move the car into a motel parking spot that had become available, and then we both struggled to fall back asleep for another two hours of much needed sleep. Other than that, the room had everything we needed and was clean without an overbearing chemical cleanser smell that we've experienced at other places.
- Valeri (8/5): - It was located next to the Film Museum. We were able to check in early.
- Michael (10/5): - Great!
- Patrick (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean room at an affordable price. Could provide better soap but that would be nitpicking. I will be back :)
- Michal (10/5): - Perfectly fine motel. Clean and walking distance to all the restaurants and shops on the main strip.
- Mark (4/5): - Air conditioning was very loud indeed , as loud as a roofers blow torch, and intermittent too leading to poor sleep, we turned ours off but the two room adjacent to ours had theirs on. No breakfast and lackluster service from staff.
- vocal traumatizer (8/5): -
- Thompson (4/5): Inexpensive and uncomfortable - Very uncomfortable bed and pillows.
Air conditioner even on low speed was way too powerful and noisy.
You get what you pay for.
- Megan (10/5): - This is a comfortable and clean motel. It is older but in good condition and suited our needs well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
- Ben (10/5): - My brother and I visited for a night after we climbed Mt. Whitney. We got a last-minute booking and were very happy with the property. Would stay there again.
- Gerard (10/5): - Very clean room. Bathroom is newly renovated and very nice. Bed is comfortable.
TV remote complains batteries need to be replaced.
- Julien (10/5): - Great for a motel
