• Unsal (3/5): Check all the Amenities before your stay! - Very spacious room(suite room) Although some facilities are not working(jacuzzi) they have stated that it would take 2 days for them to fix and haven’t offered anything to compensate for that apart from a ‘sorry’ clause

Chambres confortables, mais très standardisées et sans charme. Bonne solution pour passer une nuit avant départ de Colombo (pas plus...).

• Aryan (3/5): Not very satisfying - All the hotel staff is very helpful and nice. Rooms and bathrooms are big. Hotels lobby is very shabby and stinky. The breakfast was very very poor, it is not a buffet breakfast. There is a fixed menu for breakfast. So you are bound to eat same thing’s/food everyday. The service is very poor in the resturant. I would suggest not to book rooms in this hotelhotel with breakfast. One side of the hotel is very noisy at night because there are resturants and pubs playing loud music until late night. Infact we changed our room on very first night.

• Philipp (8/5): Top Lage - komme wieder. - Die Lage ist top in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zu einer schönen Ausgehmeile bzw. -Straße mit mehreren Restaurants. Das Frühstück ist eher basic - continental Frühstück - wenn auch in anderen Hotels ähnlich.
• Philipp (8/5): Top Lage - schönes Hotel, aber Vorsicht wenn Musikfest im Nachbarhaus stattfindet. 🥳 - Ich war das zweite Mal während meiner Reise auf Sri Lanka in diesem Hotel übernachtet. Die Erfahrung war letztlich die gleiche wie beim ersten Mal, allerdings hatte ich das Pech, dass zum Zeitpunkt meines Aufenthaltes in der in unmittelbarer Nähe gelegenen Ausgehmeile ein Musikfest stattfand. Die Band spielte bis morgens ca. 1:30 Uhr bis 2:00 Uhr. An Schlaf war da nicht zu denken. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts. Aber sollte ich dort wieder übernachten wollen, würde ich das vorher abklären. Lautes Musikfest direkt unterhalb des Hotels mit lauter Musik bis morgens 2:00 Uhr.
• Rahul (6/5): Ok but nothing great - Room was clean and spacious. The bed was good. We have stayed in inns and villas mostly. So, the hotel felt a little impersonal. There were no windows in the room and no outside view. And it was very expensive compared to our stays in Kandy, Sigiriya, etc.

• philippe (9/5): Un hôtel à conseiller ! - L’hôtel est bien placé, nous nous sommes déplacés à pied aux alentours de Colombo. Le personnel de l’hôtel est bienveillant, toujours soucieux de notre confort, notamment les deux hôtesses d’accueil qui avaient, en plus, toujours le sourire ! Nous avons également apprécié les repas de l’hôtel. Enfin plusieurs restaurants avoisinent l’hôtel. La climatisation au rez de chaussée est un peu fraîche.

• nadia089 (8/5): Great hotel - Stayed here before and had a good stay,this time was good but our room had no window (room 23),I know we could have asked to change but we were very tired and only there for 3 nights.The hotel is well equipped with clean comfy beds modern showers with hot water,the rooms are large with good air con,the tv had many channels and the wi fi was very good.We had breakfast in the hotel with two set menu options… western style or Sri Lankan.The hotel bar area gets quite busy in the evening a lot of local people have food and socialise there which makes for a good atmosphere.The back courtyard is nice for sitting outside for drinks and in the afternoon gets the sun.All the staff are extremely happy to help nothing is too much trouble.The location is spot on for walking to local places of interest,but a tuk tuk is never far away.

Staff at the hotel , very helpful, polite and welcoming. Shamila, the receptionist was very helpful when asked for advice about local services etc. The bar is first class with lots of activities in the evening, quiz night, singer, which were very good. The room did NOT have a window, we would have preferred a room with a window..

• Volker (4/5): - eigentlich hat nichts an diesem Hotel gefallen. Das gebuchte Zimmer (es gibt tatsächlich sieben Zimmer in dem Hotel) hatte kein Fenster !!! Bei genauem betrachten der Bilder fällt auf, kein Fenster zu sehen (?). Mogelpackung Endpreis: bei booking wird ein viel niedriger Preis angezeigt. Bei der Buchung "schnellt" der Endpreis nach oben - ohne dass die Buchung/Bezahlung gestoppt werden kann !!! Finger weg von diesem Hotel. Auf Grund mangelhafter Sauberkeit bekamen wir ein sehr schönes, großes, sauberes Zimmer mit Fenster. Das "Ende" war dennoch nicht gut. Frühstück lala - Preis und Leistung passen nicht. Bewertung nach 16 Tagen reisen durch Sri Lanka.

The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Just outside there are restaurants and pubs. The staff are friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay.

And Ruhan for their exceptional customer service. Overall, the staff can be a bit more kind and friendly. There were few who were fantastic, but others could learn. The welcome i got when i first arrived felt like i was not needed there. A stark contrast to my stay at tge Marino beach hotel check in experience, where I felt i was wanted.

Luktet gammel kål. Lite hjelpsom resepsjon, likegyldig, mer opptatt av å følge med på tv skjerm enn å snakke med oss.

• Daniela (5/5): Gute Küche, freundliches Personl, nur nicht zum entspannten schlafen geeignet - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die angebotene Küche wirklich gut und sehr schmackhaft. Und unsere Bedienung Jim sehr aufmerksam und herzlich. Deshalb tut es mir leid, dass ich das nichts gutes über unser Zimmer sagen kann. Kurz: Wenn man ein gutes Restaurant in Colombo sucht, ist es empfehlenswert dort essen zu gehen, zum übernachten würde ich das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Ehrlich gesagt bin ich über die Zimmersituation nicht sehr begeistert gewesen. Diese werden auf den Fotos besser dargestellt als sie sind. Unser Zimmer hatte kein Fenster. Man hat jedes Wort auf dem Gang gehört. Der Witz war, dass da einzige in Anführungszeichen Fenster zum Flur geführt hat. Somit hatte man eine Dauerbeleuchtung und keine gute Lüftung im Raum. Die Klimaanlage war ein besserer Ventilator. Zudem war unser Zimmer eher schmuddelig. Wir haben abends um einen Adapter zum aufladen unserer Telefone gebeten, da wir morgens um 5Uhr aufstehen mussten und da wurde uns gesagt, wir sollen uns einen kaufen. Im Zimmer stellten wir dann fest, dass die Nachttischlampen einen europäischen Stecker hatten. Somit war nur Festbeleuchtung möglich. Mein Mann war dann in der Lobby, um zu fragen wie das sein kann und da schickte man uns den Hauswart nach oben. Der konnte dann mit einem Schraubenzieher die Steckdose so umschalten, dass wir dann doch unsere europäischen Stecker einstecken konnten. Sehr merkwürdig. Alles in allem wirkte unser Zimmer eher bedrückend und leider war es die ganze Nacht unruhig und zu laut.

• Carl (10/5): I would stay there again - The staff were amazing. All the way through my stay, they were polite and professional. However, on the last morning they excelled themselves. I went for a run and fell grazing my face resulting in some dramatic (lots of blood) but not too serious injuries. The level of help and concern they showed was exemplary and obviously very genuine. The shower was not hot.

• margaretfJ5387RB (10/5): Great high quality hotel in vibrant location - Great high standard hotel with a Scottish theme in a vibrant location with lots of eateries, pubs and shops The hotel is furnished with very high quality furnishings, it’s got a lovely atmosphere especially with the Scottish theme Our room was gorgeous, very spacious with quality furniture, very large comfortable bed The bath was spacious and luxurious with a large walk in shower We will definitely return and would highly recommend

• Arslan (8/5): - Nice and clean room, bathroom as well with hot water for a shower. Great location. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for things in the area. Wifi was a little slow and initially the room had a stuffy smell because there were no windows but after turning on the A/C the smell was gone.

• Sathes (3/5): Worst service and not worth the money - Nothing except the location This used to be nice place. Now its completely rundown. The rooms are old. Worst part is the service. There is no room service even after multiple reminders. Wardrobe doesn't have hangers and no ironing board despite requesting for it. I used to stay frequently but not anymore

• 417sadalip (10/5): An old Engllish styled place taking you through time - Visted the place with my parents, The place was spotless, and the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming. The food and drinks were prepared really well and tasted absolutely delicious. Definitely a spot I’d love to visit again!❤️😊
