Kimberly (6/5): Ok, but probably will not book with that hotel again unless no other hotel is available. - The front desk staff was great upon check-in. I was moved to a different room, but the bed was not king size as I reserved and paid for. It was a queen size. I would like the difference for the bed size to be reimbursed but the lady at the front desk at check did not know how to fulfill that request.

Karen (4/5): - It was an ok one-night stay. Room was acceptably clean- somewhat worn. No breakfast served- only coffee and tea available. TV remote needed battery replacement and I was too tired to take it down to fix. Just glad to get on the road and did not have to stay another night.
Joshua (6/5): Beware of Double Charging - We book many hotel rooms for our hardworking employees who travel long hours. Upon check-in around 8:30 p.m., the desk associate said, “the card we hold for Expedia doesn’t work.” After trying again, he stated, “it went through.” Already anticipating they might attempt to charge our personal card, our employee requested a receipt, but was told, “we have to email it.” No email ever arrived. Sure enough, our card was charged, even though the stay had already been prepaid through Hotels.com. Mistakes happen—but the real problem came when I called the hotel for a refund. I was told, “you’ll have to call Hotels.com and have them pay before we reimburse you.” This should have been handled directly between the hotel and Hotels.com, not pushed back on the guest. After another 20 minutes on the phone with Hotels.com, the hotel finally agreed to issue a refund, but I’m not holding my breath. Travelers beware: check your statements carefully if booking through Hotels.com at this property.

Stacey (2/5): - Our first rooms had roaches crawling everywhere (counters, floor, bed). We had to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The hotel has charged me for two extra days at $116.08 on top of the initial $175.41 for the one night I did actually stay. Not only that but they are refusing to refund the extra days as well as comp the original room which they promised to do because of the roaches. There were drug addicts outside around the pool area. The smell of marijuana is strong around the property and people are just sitting on tops of vehicles in the parking lot into the night. At this point, I’ve paid over $500 to sit in a recliner for 15 minutes before the neighbor got up and decided to start slamming everything around keeping all of us awake. Definitely DON’T recommend staying here.

Vernon (6/5): Hotel mix up - Had a rough start at checking in, I payed xtra for a king bed and when I got there they said Hotels.com over booked rooms and I they did not have my room I booked way in advance, all they could give me was a room with 1 queen bed with 2 people that was not a good night sleep, The next day I had to ask for a big room and was then switched by the manager!

Could've saved some $ by not buying my own. Free laundry machines! Decent workout room. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the tv. They have satellite tv, so when the storms came through the tv froze. Otherwise, for the price compared to other hotels in the area for the week I was there, couldn't beat it!

Verified traveler (6/5): Take a pass on this one - The person checking us in was less than friendly but an interaction with her later was pleasant. The place is run down, big time, especially the furniture. It felt dirty in general, musty, tub backing up, roach activity. The rooms are way smaller than they seem online. No breakfast on account they have kitchenettes in the rooms and a "pantry" downstairs that is ill stocked with no real options. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet unless someone was upstairs in which case it was like elephants were above you. Overall, I'd say to pass on this one. There are many other options around.

B (1/5): Hire new front desk staff - Front desk staff incompetent. Called twice to confirm early check in. They confirmed 12 noon. We arrived later than expected 2:45 and had to wait 25 mins for them to clean our room. The lady who confirmed the room would be clean did NOT care or offer any sincerity. Never again will I spend $200 a night on this place again, nor should you! We checked out in 12 hrs.

Karen (10/5): A great weekend - This was our second time to stay here and it was wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are so spacious and supplied well with everything. I especially love the kitchen area. The small store in the lobby helps our budget as we didn't have to go out for food. The only thing that would make my stay perfect would be to add a towel rack to the right of the sink in the bathroom and a couple of hooks for hanging clothes. We will be back.

JOHN (4/5): - I was told on arrival the room I had booked was not available because cleaning staff had left for the day and the room was not clean. I was offered a smaller room (not a suite )that was supposed to have a king sized bed however the room actually had a queen/ full size bed. The room smelled musty and like it had been smoked in. It was so bad we bought air fresher to try and drown out the smell. Another person we knew who was staying in this hotel had a room that also smelled the same. I was offered some IHG points for the inconvenience of not having my room which was nice but not enough to overcome the bad experience. There wasn’t coffee in the lobby which was something I have never seen in my stays anywhere else and the coffee maker in the room only had one coffee- no creamer or sugar packs. To say this hotel was low frills would be an understatement. The hotel looked much nicer online but in person it looks much more dated and worn down. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stephanie (9/5): Superb - I loved the friendly receptionist greetings and excellent customer service. The beds were very comfortable and I loved that the room had a full kitchen (minus an oven) including a stovetop. Everything was very clean and their was lots of room. I would definitely stay again. There was nothing that I disliked about my stay as I spent my time relaxing and catching up on sleep after a long flight.

Cal (8/5): Fantastic room, great amenities, would likely stay again - Full kitchen in the room, great bathroom and great products in the bathroom, a million trash cans in the room, tv was big and very movable, staff was very friendly, and they had free laundry Walls were thin, had pets. Normally we LOVE pets as dog owners, but because of the thin walls/lack of soundproofing, you could hear dogs barking at all hours of the night, as well as others in other rooms talking, sneezing, and you could smell other people cooking. Not terrible, just definitely something to note

Hayley (4/5): Booking a king suite, told we actually booked a queen suite on arrival with no king suites available. - We have stayed at many Candlewood properties before with no issues and chose this because of our recent stays. We specially reserved a king room and upon arrival found we had a queen room - which to say, was very pleasant and clean. We went downstairs to ask the receptionist because our booking clearly said ‘King Suite’. She then said she could see two of our bookings, one for king and one for queen (which confused us) and that the system auto selected our room as a queen (not sure why). She said she tried to change it on the system and it wouldn’t let her and so she assumed there was no other king suites available. I mentioned that we paid for a king suite according to booking.com and she said ‘that’s actually a queen suite’. So either she was not being truthful or booking.com is advertising the wrong rooms at the wrong rates. Also when mentioned there were no other king rooms available this seems hard to believe as the hotel did not seem booked up. We booked the room for personal preference and it made a huge difference to our stay, we did not sleep well. How are we meant to trust our booking with the selections we choose and then we told on arrival ‘that’s not what you booked’. I’m confused and tired, we were travelling from Florida with a stop in Tennessee before travelling another 10hrs to Michigan and so a good nights rest in a room we requested is what we should have been able to have expected.
K (2/5): - After making the reservation. I got to the hotel only for them to tell me they dont know why they let me reserve the room when they dont have any. Stood at the desk for over 5 min waiting for the attendant just to hear this. Told her to cancel the reservation and i went elsewhere. Never got into a room.
