Guest Reviews
- Louise (6/5): - The place and staff are great, just I personally found the bed quite uncomfy, but I do have an extra form mattress at home so this may not be the experience for everyone.
- Gary (5/5): - The hotel staff were accommodating. The hotel for me didn't meet a 4* rating.
- Hanh (4/5): - The food was great, the room was very small when the price I pay
- ED (10/5): Will be returning - Clean and modern

- Aaron (7/5): Beautiful room, pity you can’t sleep in it. - Beautiful room, great location, very comfortable bed, nicely decorated. Do not let them put you in room 1! It’s a “sea view”room but the room is on street level and you cannot have the blinds open without every person walking past looking in your room. So the “sea view” is pointless.
The blinds to not block out light so the streetlights shine in the room keeping it lit all night, then of course the sunlight the moment the sun rises. Also the floorboards of the room above creak so loud in this room.
For £200 per night I would expect block out curtains to allow guests to actually sleep.
I was not gonna leave a review and I did communicate my issues to the hotel privately but the response was pretty much “well we give you eye masks and ear plugs” so I had to warn other guests.
- Latifa (1/5): -
- James (5/5): Good location but no parking other than a pay to stay car park. - The location was good No parking. Expensive for what it was. Small room.
- Michael (8/5): Very pleasant, one minor irritation, we will stay again, bit not in a room with a sea view. - Friendly, well located, comfy bed, clean, cozy.
No noise from the other guests We were in Room 1, at night the street lamps lit up the room and it was noisy. Eye shades and earplugs were provided, but they were not good enough
- Bishop (9/5): -
- Simpson (7/5): Average - Told No Breakfast-so we had to go out !!
I expect a Refund !! And will chase for that.TV didn’t work -had to get someone to turn on behind the TV. Heated towel rain in en-suite not on -telephone not working!! See above !!
- Mia (10/5): Friendly and cosy place to stay - Great room for a short stay, heating worked well and was nice and warm on arrival (also had the option to switch off). Staff were great and arranged late checkout for a small fee, which was greatly appreciated. Perfect location.
- Michael (5/5): -
- gareth (4/5): functional - Not a conventional hotel; just a B&B (out of season). Info talked about on-site parking, which didn’t exist. Small check-in window. depressing out of season seaside B&B, not a hotel.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Bigoš (9/5): -
- Katherine (4/5): It was a roof over head for the night but would have had a higher standard staying at premier Inn. - Great location and cosy Main Shower heas was broken and toilet flush felt like it was going to come off the wall. The window blinds didnt work. In the main hallway plaster was coming off the walls.
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Patrick (8/5): -
- David (10/5): - Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Really warm welcome. All round lovely experiance, rooms were fantstic and very well looked after/clean. Was really surprised on the quality of the stay for the money paid. Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations.
- Vlatka (10/5): A lovely hotel on the beachside with super friendly staff. - Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Lovely decor, very clean. Bonus points for oat milk packs in the room! Great location. The bed was on the soft side.
- Arun (10/5): - All is good
- CAROLINE (8/5): A lovely hotel and a great location for Margate. - Historical building, a comfy bed, convenient location for Margate old town and a car park. Hotel manager was really friendly and helpful, and you can see the sea! The shower head was broken so they just need to buy a new one for 2026.
- Sally (7/5): Car parking was an issue - Bed was comfortable
Bathroom was clean There was no parking apart from street but we assumed the hotel had parking as we booked the hotel based on car parking. It’s pot luck if you find a space to park in the street.
There was no breakfast because the restaurant was being renovated - we didn’t know that at time of booking.
The room was very noisy at night with cars going by and people walking past.
- Thomas (10/5): - Beautiful large clean room with a sea view. Nice friendly host.
- Julian (9/5): -
- Jose (9/5): In my opinion, probably one of the best Hotel's in Margate. - Room was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. A lot of thought has gone into the decor.
Good size room for the UK. Genuine sea view bedroom. Super comfy mattress. Not too much noise bleed from fellow guests and traffic. Great tea and coffee making facilities with yummy biscuits.
Really lucky to find a parking space in front of the Hotel which was a bonus.
Very warm welcome from all the staff.
Straightforward check in.
Walking distance to the centre of Margate and Turner Contemporary.
We both enjoyed our stay at Crescent Victoria and definitely return in the near future. Nothing.
- Julian (8/5): - Perfect location The room was rather too bijou.
- Karen (9/5): Great location, lovely room - Great location, friendly staff Could of done with a small mini fridge
- Anne (8/5): Great for a short stay, great location & super helpful staff - Location, staff, small & friendly Road noise and no curtains to block out light.
- Rob (9/5): Nice and clean with friendly staff - Traditional and quirky Nothing
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Dympna (4/5): Disappointing - Bed was fairly comfortable. The room was clean when we arrived. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when they were there No hot water for a shower in the afternoon.
No parking. Nobody on reception. No restaurant. Dog poo on pavement outside. Room was not cleaned during stay and we ran out of toilet roll.
- Alister (9/5): -
- Louisa (9/5): Would highly recommend this property - The location and the staff were friendly and helpful No breakfast included
- Philip (10/5): - Fantastic room, well maintained and Khalid is an excellent host. Thank for an amazing stay!
- Susan (9/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely hotel and staff, clean and well maintained.
- Cori (10/5): Great stay - Very welcoming from the minute we arrived. Loved the decor throughout. Garden area is a lovely addition. Bed and pillows very comfortable, we slept really well. The shower was really lovely too. Cant wait to return at a later date once the restaurant is open! There is absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay here.
- Tristan (10/5): The only choice in Margate - Manager was so helpful and dealt with our unusual booking professionally
- Danny (5/5): -
- Julian (6/5): Good location but poor value for money - The location was good with a pleasant sea view. It was a short walk to the town centre.
The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy. On arrival we had to ask for sufficient hand towels, shower gel and decaf coffee. The first two were supplied straightaway but the coffee was unavailable.
Our room was not serviced during our three night stay.
I knew beforehand that there was no breakfast but this was far from ideal.
For £200+ per night we expected a higher level of service.
- rebecca (5/5): No service - Newly decorated, great position No food available at all inc breakfast .
Little / no sevice , reception was seldom manned . Local place recommended for breakfast was booked up .
Water nor loo rolls replaced , found the loo roll in cupboard ourselves .
- Noemi Fajardo (7/5): - Location is perfect
- Julie (8/5): Nice stay in friendly hotel - Room was lovely and view Was very warm and too noisy to have windows open
- Alison (10/5): - Friendly reception— can-do attitude! Plus the incredible view!
- Laurence (9/5): Pleasant stay - Location is amazing ,close to the center and very quiet at the same time .
Ses view from the hôtel .
Comfortable bed , Nothing
- FRANCES (9/5): -
- Liz (8/5): - Nice Hotel. The top floor had a good view. Convenient location. Friendly check-in Parking limited
- Donna (10/5): Short stay for a gig - The owner was great when we checked in, the other staff were lovely when we checked out. Great location if you're going to a gig at Dreamland. Room was fantastic. Very clean, comfortable, lots of storage and nice little touches like a sleep mask. It was very clear that a lot of thought had gone into every aspect of it to make the most of the space with consideration for practicality. Should we find ourselves in Margate again, this would absolutely be our hotel of choice. Nothing
- Rob Simmons (10/5): - Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Room was perfectly clean, decent size and looked nice.
- Dean (10/5): -
- Hahn (8/5): - Location was great - a sea view, close to local amenities and a great cafe for breakfast. The manager was brilliant - warm, friendly, chatty and very helpful.
- Stacey (10/5): -
- Fleming (8/5): -
- Anna (9/5): - Ottima accoglienza e gentilezza/disponibilità del personale. La stanza che abbiamo scelto era un po' piccola, ma perfetta e accogliente per un breve soggiorno!
- lynn (5/5): Ok - It’s nice place but definately needs some tlc No working kettle , noise was really bad at back windows do not keep noise out
- Anna (10/5): Friendly, clean and comfortable! - Excellent hotel, very accommodating and friendly
- Daisy (3/5): Not a hotel - It was fine but the pictures are very misleading, this is a bnb vibe next to a big road not a hotel as the name suggests
- Ben (8/5): Nice little hotel near the old town of Margate - Lovely contemporary styled property really close to old town. Room clean and grateful for extra mile staff went to, to organise birthday surprise for my partner. Staff really friendly and helpful. Really close to the old town and lovely bars and restaurants. I think the property is lovely. Only thing is the rates seem quite high for the area and being room only but I guess all relative to what others are charging in the area
- Michael (7/5): -
- Jacqueline (9/5): -
- Nicola Gorman (9/5): - The location and the host very personable and helpful Hot upstairs but fan was in place. Also the stairs...quite a climb but that is more to do with our age and knees.
- Tim (7/5): Great little independent hotel - Clean, well located for Old Town Margate Very small room and limited facilities
- Marvin (7/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Great hotel, would definitely stay here again. - Great location, clean hotel and friendly and helpful staff - great stay!
- martin 68 (10/5): lovely hotel with sea view - Excellent location for dreamland. very clean and tidy, staff were amazing definitely book again when visiting margate
- Gemma (9/5): -
- Vikki (9/5): Would definitely recommend a stay here, the location was perfect, welcome was great! - Room was lovely, bed comfy and welcome was really friendly and informative. No toiletries in shower and am used to this in other hotels so didn’t bring my own.
When checking out there was no one there, rang bell and still nothing.
- Hurkett (8/5): Clean friendly - Friendly staff. Extras in the room. Eye mash ear plugs, map water tea coffee ironing board. Everything you needed for a short stay No decaffeinated tea or coffee. No bar or restaurant open but understandable due to renovations
- Raymond (8/5): Friendly staff, clean room, would book again.. - Friendly staff on arrival good local information, had pleasent stay View not great but not a issue
- Brian (8/5): Very welcoming and clean -
- Rob (8/5): -
- Sylvia (6/5): - Location good Street parking only although advertised as free - we were lucky to get a space close by. No breakfast and the bar was closed. No Wifi offered.
- Tara (8/5): -
- Birch (5/5): Very clean room, good sleep good view - Breakfast not offered, only saw the host once Just a little advice, toiletries would have been nice in the ensuite
- Jo (8/5): -
- Moore (8/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): - Really friendly, amazing view. Nothing
- Gerry (10/5): -
- Nathan (10/5): Amazing room view, kind staff & great location for local venues! - At first I had concerns about the book in times but was quickly reassured that an early / amended check in would be okay. Khaled that works on the reception desk was absolutely outstanding and when we returned to the hotel earlier than expected due to a festival being cut short he even went out of his way to suggest other local venues to insure that our night was not ended early! He was amazing and would recommend this stay to anyone! I cannot fault anything about this hotel!!
- JOHn (10/5): -
- Elliot (6/5): -
- Leanne (6/5): Not for tall people - Check in staff were friendly, good location, clean.
Would stay again if I needed to be in Margate. Bathroom was tiny.
The ceiling fan was so low, that I actually had to stand clear of it to be able to lift my arms and change. There should be a warning sign.
- Naz (7/5): -
- Alessandra (10/5): Perfect weekend away! - The staff were super kind. I asked for a fan as was worried about the heat, they provided two and a cool room. Location. Away from the main and noisy street. Close to the beach. Quiet.
- Ian (8/5): -
- pagona (8/5): -
- Charlie (10/5): -
- Stella (7/5): welcoming, comfortable. - The gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and welcoming.
The location is very good. Initially we given a very small room which did not reflect the amount of money we paid for the night. We asked for a larger room and were given a much better room.
- Liz (10/5): -
- Carmel (8/5): Location great - Great location We were on the top floor - stairs for 60 + year olds not ideal.
- Andre (5/5): Basic nights stay - Clean and friendly staff Small bedrooms and tiny bathroom. The bedroom’s insulation not good as we heard the room upstairs throughout the night. Double beds are small and we are not big people, so didn’t sleep well as felt like we were gonna fall out of it throughout the night.
