• James (10/5): - The beds were comfortable, the rooms were nice and clean. The rooms were also big and spacious and had enough beds for us all Just the light over the double bed didn't work but overall I was very happy with the room we were in

• Sophia (7/5): While the beds were a bit of a let down, the rest of the facilities helped enjoy our stay! - Great location, near a shopping centre and a 24h service station. Even though there was no vacancy the nights we stayed there was still enough parking. AC worked well enough. Facilities were clean. The cutlery and crockery was very much appreciated. Beds were a bit too firm even though i do enjoy a medium firm mattress and the pillows were too tough for us. Otherwise a pretty decent stay for the price point.

• TONY (7/5): VERY COMFORTABLE. - THERE WAS NO EVENING MEALS OR BREAKFAST, I WASN'T ABLE TO GET ROOM SERVICE FROM ANY OF THE FOOD SERVICES LISTED, I WASN'T ABLE TO WALK TO ANY OF THE FOOD SERVICES AS I HAD LIMITED WALKING CAPIBILITIES. HAD NO ROOM SERVICE FROM ANY OF THE FOOD SERVICES.

• Andy (10/5): To be treated not just as a guest but as family by the management was an absolute blessing for us. - The Cedar Lodge Managers Olivia and Red went far beyond the call of duty to provide support during a stressful stay linked to the birth of our son at Townsville University Hospital.

• Chase (8/5): Very Happy you pay for what you get, no complaints. - Value for money, cheap and fit for purpose. The aircon wasn't proportional for the size of the room and potentially throw a mattress topper on the bed
• Anne (7/5): Convenient and spotless. - Convenient location a short walk to supermarket and major shopping centre. My room was spotless also and the offstreet parking is appreciated. When first entering the room, there was a musty, old urine smell but this quickly disipated once the air conditioner had been on for a while. A hair dryer and some tissues in the room would have been good.

• Charlotte (1/5): Crap! What a shame! Close proximity to the hospitals but would rather drive/walk than stay there. - We didn’t end up staying. The room smelt so bad and was disgustingly hot. Room 26- very dingy, smelt disgusting, unsure if it was mould or something else. Mattress was horrible. We literally tried to make it work but only lasted approx 15 mins. The smell was so bad and aircon not really working.

• Melanie (8/5): Good value, close to the Vet hospital at JCU and lovely helpful staff. - The location was picked as it was closest to the JCU Vet hospital, it was also very close to all the shopping centres. Lawrence the Manager was very friendly and helpful, I asked for extra pillows and he happily obliged, he is updating the rooms, has put in a circular table and chairs and replacing mattresses etc. putting in laminate flooring instead of carpet which will be nicer. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. It looked like the same soap was used for both hand soap and shower gel, not a big deal but would be nice to get a more fancy shower gel.

• Punzell (8/5): convenient location for weekend visits to JCU - very good location and easy to access from either road direction, shopping centre and plaza right next door and esy walking distance. room was nice and comfortable and reception staff very friendly and helpful being right on the road, there was some mild road noise but not bad enough to interrupt sleep

• Amanda (6/5): - The location was close to everything needed. Unfortunately with this place being on the main road it’s very noisy. A lot of sirens passing by. The bed was very hard poor quality. The shower head didn’t have water pressure and took far too long to heat up and also couldn’t maintain temperature kept going from freezing to boiling hot. Also police arrested people on the footpath outside our hotel window and we got woken up at 3am by police dog barking none stop and siren lights in our room not the hotels fault but wasn’t ideal for our stay with a long drive ahead of us having to deal with that nonsense. Location is great if you’re a heavy sleeper and also if you’re wanting to be close to shops and don’t have transportation. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll stay here again.
