- Moonchild (10/5): - The Host Annmarie is truly a delight ,Friendly, warm, and very welcoming. This was my second time there .
- Eric (10/5): - I was comfortable and well rested. I would reccommend the accommodation over and over.
- Joshua (8/5): - For the price, the accommodation was spacious and all amenities were functional. Neat and quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to most administrative offices and community services. Best of all, a genuine host/ loving host and owner. She offered support and help as at when needed. l would recommend the Villa Shalom Guest House to any traveller to Port of Spain on a tight budget and who needs home feeling while away from home.
- Jeanette M. (8/5): Sunshine Stay. - Affordable and walkable.A basic room,a bit dated. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. This was my 5th stay.
- Lynette (8/5): Quaint and authentic - I loved my trip and wished I could have stayed longer. Trinidad there’s so much to see. The Villa Shalom was a great stay for me and I made a new friend in Ms. Cordner. She’s a dynamo!!!
- Krystin (8/5): Villa Shalom Guesthouse, Port of Spain - For the budget traveler, you can't get a better place. Ann Marie is a lovely woman and a thoughtful hostess. It's not the Ritz, so don't expect fancy. It's more like a comfy hostel. Located downtown Port of Spain near the Queen's Park Savannah.
- Forester (6/5): Guest house which is 30 min walk from the downtown - Taxists know this place well. 2 stories building. Big kitchen combined with living room.
- Maxine (8/5): Friendly Hotelier - Very friendly hotel owner. My stay was for two days and arrived without my luggage, but the hotel owner provided me all the assistance I needed. I could have taken a taxi to my business, but she accompanied and showed me an easy walk passing through Queen Park Savannah and some picturesque building. I love walking so I enjoyed that very much. The hotel went over and above what I expected making my two nights most comfortable.
- Levette (10/5): I'll miss my stay here. - Very nice accommodations. I enjoyed my privacy, the rooms are spacious and the hostess provides for your every whim. Great conversations. I shall come again!
- Eric (10/5): Botique Style - This was my fourth stay. Sister Anne Marie is warm entertainer and attentive to detail.
- Sally (2/5): Close to zoo and park and excellent taxi services. - Manager was okay. The facility needs upgrade. The stoves, refrigerators and utensils need upgrade.Buds infestation.
- Noreen (10/5): Zumba Trinidad Trip - My first time here in Trinidad coming from LA for a Zumba business trip and my trip was amazing! The host Ann Marie was a very hospitable lady and very friendly! The room was everything I needed and more! Very spacious, very relaxing, and definitely feels very much like home. I will definitely be back to stay here for my next visits and maybe for Carnival!!! Thank you Ann Marie! =)
- Verified traveler (10/5): I love that it was close to town and shopping area - All I have to say is me and my family love it and we all differently go back again
- Eric (10/5): I Always Stay Here - Sister Anne Marie goes above and beyond in providing everything with generosity.. I get the best she has available. The breakfast is lavish. The place is clean and safe. My friend and myself walked the Queens Park Savannah late at night without any interference. I had a great time. I'll be back for my fourth stay soon.
- Jeanette (8/5): Accessible - People in trinidad are very hospitable.
- margaret (8/5): nice place - villa shalom was a very nice guest house, the neighborhood is safe, the house and ms Annemarie where wonderful she was full of information about how to get around , the guest house is walking distant to store the savanna were the Trinidad food is wonderful, when booking do not expect the Hilton this house is real Trinidadian guest house, i loved it, the taxi guy Brian was also wonderful,
- Dave (10/5): YOU WON'T GET THIS ANYWHERE ELSE! - I was so well received it was like coming home. Ann is a fantastic person, incredibly hospitable and helpful. When I needed food she even walked me to the local market place (at night) which I would have never found on my own. She is just a wonderful, kind and loving person. She is very astute and well informed about everything. A challenging conversationalist with a congenial attitude. A rare commodity in these days. I would not stay anywhere else. You cannot get this experience with someone else, Trust me. I travel ALOT!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Itz was perfect for me - I had a wonderful time and i think its a good get away for groups
- Verified traveler (2/5): Racist homophobic owner - The owner went on a massive racist, anti-(specific) religion, and homophobic rant without knowing my background or beliefs. It was totally inappropriate and alarming to think there are still these people out there in society, let alone that wotif is allowing these people to list their guesthouse on their website. The owner even shared that when she gets a reservation from a foreign name that is not Anglican that she contacts immigration for fear of Isis so that she can avoid taking their booking.
We found the owner to be intrusive. Further, locals later told us that this is a very unsafe part of Port of Spain. We would not recommend this guesthouse.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Made me feel right at home - Ann Marie was an amazing host! She told me stories, showed me around town, and made me an authentic Trinidad breakfast in the morning. I felt very welcome and very comfortable in her home. I'll definitely stay with her the next time I'm in Port of Spain
