- Emilia (8/5): - La posizione, vicino alla stazione x Perth, aeroporto, cottesloe beach. A piedi x tutta Fremantle comprese belle spiagge! Gentilezza dello staff! Cucina disponibile anche se spartana. Camera Senza alcuna mensola x appoggiare le cose, asciugamani e detergente non compresi, altri hotel x lo stesso prezzo li hanno compresi.

- Sarah (1/5): Regrettable - Never stayed in a room that hot. Cold showers. Felt like the staircase would collapse when walking on it.
- Samir (4/5): Affordable stay with friendly staff, but cleanliness issues made it uncomfortable. - This was one of the more affordable options in the area. The staff were very friendly, and the car park was secure, requiring a key for access. The cleanliness was very poor. There was leftover food from a previous guest on both bedside tables, including mouldy bread, which suggests it hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. The shared bathroom was also disappointing, with no soap or basic toiletries provided (only a towel and shampoo). Due to these conditions, I didn’t feel comfortable staying, but it was too late to find alternative accommodation.

I’m a r - Location is perfect with nice and safe car park (very important) , it’s clean and comfortable hotel and the respectful lady Nicaria is managing the customers services well and also her behaviour is really adorable and perfect. Sometimes there is no soap and shampoo in washing area

- Riley (2/5): Please do not stay here :) - Convenient location. Good because you will not want to spend time here. Overpriced for what is essentially a hostel. Reception is constantly unstaffed and do not pick up their phone. Good luck dropping off or collecting luggage early. Rooms and shared facilities were dirty. People would leave their hotel room doors open and watch as you pass by. Felt weird and uncomfortable.
- RICHARD (4/5): It's cheap, but not value for money. - Cold showers whilst staying there. Heat in the room is unbearable. The fans don't cut it with heat pouring in in the afternoon, even with the blind down. The refrigerator in the common room, looks like a murder scene inside and then has not been cleaned on the outside. Looks like CSI Freemantle have finger printed on the outside and still not clean.
- Madeleine (1/5): - Bed was comfortable. Staff seemed like they were under the influence of something. It seemed very disorganised and overall a really dodgy/ unsafe vibe. Had to call several times and wait to even check in as there are no admin staff attending and building was locked. No soap in the toilets and dispenser was actually broken. There was a cleaning toilet sign for days that didn’t get moved so I don’t think they had cleaning staff actually working/ doing their job. Fridge / common area wasn’t clean, carpets are old, floor is creaky. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for females travelling alone either.

- Aaryn (6/5): - Good location, has secure parking..Price is low, 5 minutes from centre of Freo. As stated in the description of the hotel, it is an old building, at least they are transparent, so one definitely can’t complain about the condition of the accomodation.

- Leonie (7/5): Australia Hotel - It was clean, had a fan, a window you could open & filtered drinking water so you fill up your water bottle, I had a room opposite the shared bathroom which was helpful. The location was easy walking distance to Fremantle main centre. It could be noisy from the resturant, the outside carpark on the harbour side and the main road. it was expensive for what it is given no ensuite bathroom. The main light needs a new globe. The lighting needs to fixed!

- mansbridge (6/5): Reception a big issue - Rooms good size and clean, good location for town, beach and railway station Reception hours, only from 0900 to 1600. As room availability from 1500 and Reception unmanned an hour later gave rise to complications booking in. I was arriving early morning and booked an extra night, finding the hotel locked in rang the number displayed on the hotel door for out of hours receptionist and got an answerphone twice!

- Vanessa (5/5): Not what we expected for a hotel stay - Check-in was a hassle. We arrived late, which the property was aware of. We called ahead to say we were at the airport, but when we arrived we still had to call again and wait for someone to come and let us in. There were no towels available on arrival because they said they often get stolen, so we had to wait until the next day before we could shower. The property felt more like a hostel than a hotel, with shared bathrooms that were not cleaned daily, which was disappointing. We stayed for eight nights and our room was not cleaned once during our entire stay.

Good car parking even though it looked like a difficult task on the booking page which was a nice surprise. No kitchen facilities only a crowded fridge, paper cups, no cutlery or plates etc. No hot water on the first floor for the 4 days we stayed. Only available on the second floor. Lighting in the room was dreadful, only 2 lamps no overhead light,

- Darren (6/5): Good location, but very basic accommodation. - Whilst was realistic that this was low budget accomodation with very basic facilities, it was a frustrating stay. Could not check in until 4pm when doors opened (booking stated 3pm) and even then there was 1 staff member and each booking he had to close the counter and walk them through facility taking 7-10 mins to show the same thing he could have shown us all as a group! So didnt get to check in until 4:40. Very frustrating. As a light sleeper the extra creaky floorboards in the corridor meant you hear everyone going to shared bathrooms etc. Check in process

- Tess (8/5): Fine for a night. - We booked this as a place to crash after a long flight, and it was fine for that- you don't get luxury, but you get a clean, comfortable bed in a good location, a very large common room, a hot shower and free secure parking. We didn't have AC which was fine on the night we stayed, the window opens and the breeze in Fremantle is cool, but I would not risk it during a heat wave. Check in would have been a disaster if I didn't happen to bring my Australian friend with me. You have to call a number on the door to be let in- I had an e-sim and had no access to phone calls, and I imagine a lot of travelers would be in similar situation. The pub has changed to a Mexican restaurant and their staff were also friendly but it was a little confusing. We encountered this lack of human-service everywhere we stayed in WA. I think these things are a reflection on the tourism industry in Australia, the high cost of wages, and Australia's lack of better tourism service standards- and not necessarily the hotel itself.

- Sharon (6/5): - I liked the Bathroom was clean, modern and spacious. I liked that my room was private and secure. Carpets looked fairly new. The room was adequate for the nightly rate. The kitchen was lacking in facilities. The Floor boards were very creaky and noisy by anyone walking down corridors. The bedroom did not have air-conditioning. I managed to open my heavy window and put fan on for airflow. Mexican restaurant downstairs had their music on a bit too loud at times.

Walking distance to various Freo attractions. Clean, shared bathrooms. Feel is more like a fairly comfy Hostel with opportunities to meet/mix with other guests. Very squeaky floorboards in hallways might annoy some guests. But… it IS an old building.
