• Verified traveler (6/5): Blandade känslor - Läget är väldigt bra. Fantastisk strand bara över vägen. Rummen helt ok. Det finns standhanddukar, mattor, strandleksaker, cyklop mm att låna gratis. Även cyklar lånas ut gratis. Frukosten är rätt medioker, och beställer man mat från hotellets restaurang är det bara gott två gånger av tio. All på-golvet-personal (som inte är från Thailand) är supertrevliga och serviceminded. Men den thailändska kvinna som verkar vara chef har en tråkig attityd både mot kunder och framför allt mot personalen. Hon kan skälla ut dem och tillrättavisa dem mitt bland gästerna och känslan är att detta oproffsiga beteende är avsiktligt för att hon vill visa alla hur "bra" hon själv är. Hon kommenterar också gärna västerländska gäster på thailändska med en otrevlig attityd när hon tror att de inte förstår eller hör.

• Flemming (8/5): Lille hotel med godt. - Et rigtigt fint lille hotel med kun 12 værelser. Personalet gør en fremragende indsats for glæde kunden. Vi boede på værelse no. 1, hvilket absolut må være det bedste værelse med fin udsigt over havet. Det eneste det gør at den ikke går toppoint er at der går en meget trafikeret vej lige udenfor.
• Jeffrey (8/5): - The pool doesn’t have jets or a circulation filter and is full of insects. The nightclub is behind the resort on top the hill and you hear loud music at night. The walls are paper thin and you hear other guests and workers banging on metal.

• Daniel (10/5): had a great stay here. Staff are amazing. - The hotel is a 2 min walk to main beach. It has a Thai style bathroom but is clean and nice. The best part about the hotel is the staff. They are all friendly and extremely helpful. They are always available and ready to help.

• Tommy Holger (10/5): Nice hotel almost on the beach. - This small hotel lies in a turn of the main road, literally 20-25 metres from the beach. The receptionist is probably the nicest person we have met so far in any hotel in Thailand. Se took us in hand from the fort moment we came in the door and saw us onward when we left.The hotel itself is a smaller, the premises are nice and breakfast is served outside. The pool was being repaired, but with the sea jus outside, this was not a problem. Rooms are small without being miniscule. We had a choice of two different ones. There is a possibility to shower and change on your day of checkout, so catching the last ferry (at 1700) gave us a whole extra day on the beach. Will definitely come again, next time on Samet island.

• Steven (10/5): - Excellent location, right at the end of Sai Kaew beach, just accross the road. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room large, clean and we had a sea view. Breakfast good, especially the omlettes. Can hire a moped from here - might be a little more pricey, but no fuss, no leaving passport or deposit. Fully recommend the Hotel.

The town ccentre and beaches easily accesisble by foot or local transport from outside the hotel. Staff were very friendly and polite. The room was spotless and comfortable. On-site shop for everyday neccessities. Great location for an evening drink on the terrace by the rooms or on the properties street front bar area. Definitely recommend

Erityisesti vastaanoton monitoimilady oli hurmaava ja avulias. Hyvä aamiainen ja mukavaa että hotellilta sai lainata snorkkeleita ja muita rantatarvikkeita ilmaiseksi. Ainoa miinus tieltä ja rannan ravintoloista kuuluva melu.

• Charles (10/5): Nice hotel on Hat Sai Kaew Beach - Well-maintained property, which is a plus - as many of the hotels on Koh Samet are a little run down. It's at the end of Hat Sai Kaew Beach, so everything is walkable. The breakfast was nice and the staff was very accommodating. We stayed for 3 nights and would gladly stay again.

Walkable distance from the center via the main road which is next to the hotel. Really helpful, happy and friendly staff. And really good breakfast. In the room we would've liked to have a place to keep our bags other than the floor (bench etc.). We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this place!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff offered very detailed introduction of the tourist spots on the island upon check in. Welcome drink is served with warm welcome. There are items for snorkeling for borrowing free of charge, including life saving jacket, snorkel, fins, beach mat, etc. Towels, bags and sandals can also be brought out of the hotel for use. The breakfast include food on demand and semi buffet. The location is convenient from the pier, beaches and restaurants by walking, riding motorcycle or by taxi.

• Brian (10/5): Great value and great service near beach - Excellent value for money in a very clean and comfortable room. While it's not right on the beach, and it's not in a secluded location, it is across the street from the white sand beach in a pleasant area, with plenty of beach restaurants and convenient stores nearby. It's close enough to walk in town. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and they give little perks like a few free soft drinks and snacks and free use of beach items for playing and floating. The breakfast is very good, with buffet style, plus guests can order a dish.

• Poul (8/5): Great location, great service - Et par dejlige dage på dette hyggelige lille sted (12 værelser). Varm og dejlig modtagelse v/ank. Aek (frontdesk man.) gav mange brugbare info. Beligenhed tæt på Mermaid statuen og i den rolige ende af Hat Sai Kaew var perfekt og andre strande i gåafstand. Vi tog speedboat fra Ban Phe og blev sat af på stranden 100m. fra hotellet. Samme procedure da vi skulle retur. 500 Bath givet godt ud. 😃😃

• Stefan (8/5): Klart godkänt hotel - Ligger bra vid slutet av White Sand Beach. Den beachen är inte så trevlig dagtid dock, massor med högljudda dagsturskineser. Nära till taxi så man kan ta sig till andra beacher. Bra frukost, kanon service. Rekommenderas.

• Lena (10/5): - Helt fantastisk opphold! Vi var forberedt på enkle forhold. Det er et lite hotell ved stranden. Stranden var over all forventning! Helt perfekt, så ikke noe søppel. Rommet var rent. Lite trykk i dusjen, dette er fordi alt av ferskvann på øya kommer med båt fra fastlandet. Vi ble møtt av en kjempe hyggelig og hjelpsom dame i resepsjonen som viste seg og være eieren av hotellet. Vi kommer tilbake.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Don't do it for more than $15.00 - This is in no way a $50.00 a night room. After seeing the room I would have guessed it should cost around $15.00. I have traveled around Thailand extensively and have stayed in rooms costing from $10-$150 per night (with a majority on the lower end). I didn't want to unpack my bags here it felt so disgusting. Since I had a long day of travel and was exhausted, I didn't check out and try to get a refund from hotels.com. Yes, the service was good and they were friendly at check in, but that does not make up for the dark, dank room. For the price, you can find better, newer, cleaner hotels located right on the beach and with a pool. The rooms are dark and don't feel clean. I had to walk down a dark walkway at night with no lights, so was fortunate to have my phone with flash light. At breakfast I was talking to the couple sitting next to me and asked what they thought of the hotel, and the husband's response was, "disgusting". Don't spend more than $15 for this place, keep looking.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Rip Off!!!!!! Zero stars!!!!!!! - If you enjoy living in a dump next to a busy street that isn't on the beach then you would love this spot. This place should not charge more than $15 to $20 a night at best. There are mosquitoes, it's loud, mold in the bathroom, a bathroom with an aweful shower, no closet space, tv only in Thai, and not on the beach. Also you have to pay 200 baht to enter the section of the island.

• Dan-Erik (6/5): Good, but other beaches are better. - While Koh Samed is by far the dirtiest island I have visited in Thailand, the Green Bay Samed Resort is a notable exception. We really enjoyed our stay there because after a day on the island it was a relief to come back to the cleanliness of our hotel room. The staff was mostly very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips on outings. But my brother stayed at another hotel (also recommended by the staff at Green Bay, btw, since he didn't book anything in advance like we did) and they refused to let him come up to our room. I also saw other guests who wanted to talk with friends and the staff dragged away the friends to the bar outside. Very strange to me and I never understood why. Only one of the staff spoke half decent English. I never got exactly what I wanted when I asked for something. Fortunately, I have a Thai wife and I just let her do all the talking. For three days stay we only got one single refill of the soap and shampoo. Every other hotel I've stayed at, even the cheap ones, refill those things every day. I went to ask for it and then I got more, but I don't think I should need to ask for that. Overall we had a good experience here. But there were many minor things to be a bit annoyed about.

• Kali (10/5): Great location - Incredible staff - I stayed in the hotel for a short stay, one night. It was clean and comfortable. Good value for money. The hotel manager was really helpful and went one step ahead in helping me to solve some logistical problems of the trip. I would come back definitely.
