Guest Reviews
- ANA CRISTINA C (8/5): - Quarto bastante grande e espaçoso e bastante limpo.
- Maria (10/5): - Diego is an amazing host. Very oront to answer any questions and concerns.
- Ceren (10/5): Great place in great location - It was a great stay! Great location with lots of restaurants and cafes around it. Metro station is 500m away, so you can easily go to touristic places within 10-15mins. We have been informed about everything on time. They were really attentive and kind. The room was also larger than we expected and it was super clean. Will definitely stay here again in our next Rome visit!
Local limpíssimo, excelente atendimento e muito bem localizado.
- Graham (10/5): Great stay - The owner, Diego was extremely helpful and accommodating. Provision of vouchers for breakfast in a nearby cafe was a nice touch. Diego did everything possible to assist us during our stay and was very friendly and efficient.
- Emanuel (10/5): - Diego was so friendly and helpful! The B&B is very near to stations and restaurants. Also everything was nice and clean. Thank you!
- Jose Cledson (8/5): - Ocorreu tudo bem e o local estava em perfeitas condições. Tudo limpo e organizado.
- VoyagerOne21 (10/5): Location A+! Book and enjoy! Views are stunning, size ideal, the experience 100% Italian! Live like a local! - What a tremendous find! My partner was the one who found B&B Piramide Terrace so I can't take credit for that, but I am SO happy he did! The simple, yet clean and tidy room was PERFECT for our short 4-day stay and the location was just marvelous! But nothing can top the balcony and the views. Truly a wonderful spot.
From the outside you are immediately struck by the vibrancy of the neighborhood. You are NOT in a tourist area by any means. Instead right downstairs you'll find Cafe 77 which is open all day from 6:30 AM to 20:00 M-F (Sat. 6:30 AM to 14:00) Closed Sundays. They serve the most delicious cafe, pastries, snacks and you can even have a drink or a beer. It's all there and cheap! My cappuccino and croissant every morning were 2 € 30 to 2 € 80 depending if I get something with fruit or not. Note: You are provided with coupons to use at the cafe and are able to redeem them for a coffee and a pastry every day. I still went back in the afternoon for a little pick me up. The tables inside and out always had a few available so never left standing.
Two doors down from the cafe (headed north) was a grocery store that had EVERYTHING you can possibly need. Fresh fruits, veggies, meats, cheeses, dairy, wine, water, breads and toiletries. The prices are so reasonable and the store is a local market made for locals, not tourists.
Once you arrive to the front of the building whether you walked over from the train station or dropped off by a taxi, depending on what time you arrive, you'll be struck by the glorious marble entry way and the pair of stairs that land in the lobby. The building has two sides - and two elevators. So know you'll be taking the elevator on the RIGHT as you go in and up. The elevator is vintage so it requires you to pull the door open when it arrives (twist the knob to open) and then push in the interior doors to enter. The elevator is tiny compared to US standards so you may need to go up separately if you and your traveling party each have luggage. The apt is on the 9th floor so you'll hit 9, make sure you close the exterior and interior doors, and you'll be up in a flash. As you exit, you'll be met by the massive front door and a panel with a phone to contact Diego to check in. He'll give you the code to the lock box, if he is not there for you in person. The lock box opens and you'll have the keys to your apt. Once you enter you'll be in a hallway which features the 3 room available. You'll be assigned one of them depending on your reservation.
As the door to the room opened I was struck by the simplicity and cleanliness. Decor was minimal but tasteful and sweet. Everything was in order and perfectly clean. The towels and sheets were clean and the room was spotless. The bathroom has a lovely large window that opens to the neighborhood looking east and allows for the steam from the shower to escape. It is a large tub with a handheld shower and fixed shower head above, so you have a choice. The sink is nicely appointed - although having a small table or shelf would really help with storage and there is not much space to put toiletries. Having a stand alone bidet was a nice touch.
The bed was very comfy and the Google TV was a big bonus. I logged on to my google account and was able to stream my favorites videos and music within minutes as we then popped open a bottle of wine and enjoyed it on the lovely terrace which looked over the entire city. The table with two chairs was PERFECT for our visit and seeing the sunset from the terrace just magical.
The apt is within short walking distance to the Roma Ostiense train station - which I used to get from the airport directly and walked to the apt with my luggage, with no issue. It's also a short walk up to the Piramide metro station! Location is PERFECT and you can get everywhere from here in minutes.
Diego is a great host and there was wonderful communication before and during. We had a delay in our flights and check in was at a different time but there was no issue or problem. We checked out without issue and he was absolutely a gem. We can't wait to go back and stay here! And we will send our friends too!
Do not hesitate to stay here. It's simple but lovely. And for the prize a tremendous value! The a/c is strong enough to keep you cool and the mini-fridge in the hall way perfect to store some water, beer or wine when you come back. We spent very little time in the room but when we were there, we loved it. We are planning to return and will be staying here AGAIN! Grazie Mille!
- Bernadette (10/5): - The owner, Diego, truly saw to everything a guest required. Strongly recommend!! He went above and beyond. Should I ever be fortunate enough to return to Rome, I will definitely stay here again!
- Roshorn Sylvester (10/5): - Perfect location to the tourist attractions.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Good place , close for public transport

- Oxana (8/5): - We have nice stay in Rome..The accommodation was ok for the price what we paid..Room clean..bed comfortable .The accommodation was very close to metro and train station..easy to go to the centre Rome.
The Host was very friendly.
If you like an accomodation cheap and clean..thi is perfect..but if you look luxury room for cheap price..look for something else.
Thank you
Thank you..
- iftekhar (10/5): - Nice place, good balcony view
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location for the price. Bus stop right out the front door bus takes you right to the Vatican area or a five minute walk to the metro two stops and you’re at city centre.1.5 euros to any where into the city. Food market just down stairs. Great communication and advice from the host.
- Divya (10/5): - Loved staying here! Great location for food and traveling to see Rome.
Diego was an incredible host!
- Quynh (10/5): - Good service
- Mattia (8/5): - Easy agreement and high availability of the hosting. Near to the transport network. Raccomended.
Facile check-in e super disponibilità.
- Nicole (6/5): - Diego was very helpful with check in and checkout. He also responded promptly to messages. The A.C. was broken and though a portable A.C. unit was provided, it did not do much to keep the room cool during the 100 temps during my stay.
- Renee (8/5): - The breakfast included with our stay was okay. You had to go to a café outside of your building to get breakfast. It was close. Coffee was excellent but the food was adequate. The café offered croissants, pastries (typical of Italy)or a sandwich( tuna, egg or ham) No fruit included.
- Jaana (10/5): Happy holiday in Rome - Apartment was perfect for us. Easy to go from railway station. A great situation. A lot of good restaurants near. Room is on the 9th floor. Scenery is nice too. Balcony. Service 10+. We will go back some day. Only bed could be a little bit better, but it was OK.
- George (10/5): - This property was exceptionally clean, the room was bright and very large. Diego was a great host, He speaks English and communicated very well with us. Diego went above and beyond his host duties,he is also knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. The apartment is close to everything we walked to restaurants, cafe's and the metro. it is also walking distance to the hop-on hop-off tour buses. The collesieum was a 15 minute walk on a beautiful day. I did not get a chance to say goodbye or Thanks for everything because my flight was at 5am. But thanks for making us feel welcome and we wish you much success in your business
- Mohammed (10/5): - It was really nice apartment with balcony and the host was amazing guy and responsive feel free to ask him anything 😊 ,
25 minutes walking to colousum and the bus front the door, so i recommend 👌
- Aurora (10/5): - Stanza bella e spaziosa. Diego davvero disponibile e simpatico. La zona comoda per raggiungere il centro.
- Gdemar (8/5): - Excelente localização, que permite passeios andando. Diego, super receptivo.
Super recomendo, o custo benefício vale a pena.
- Claudia (10/5): - Perfect host, amazing panorama, right in the middle. Easy transportation.
- Martin (10/5): - This place is a gem! The elevator is small, which made it a bit of a chore to get our luggage to the room, but other than that it was a fantastic stay.
- Giovanni (4/5): - Complessivamente insufficiente.
- Raschwan (8/5): - Sehr nett Personal, Zentral, Sicher, nah zu Alte Stätt
- Ayoub (10/5): Perfect place to stay near central Rome - Our stay was very pleasant and the host Diego made it even better by his responsiveness and kindness.
I highly recommend as we've enjoyed every moment of our stay.
- Nicklas (10/5): Nice place - Great place with good layout, walking distance to central rome. Very nice
- Roz (8/5): - Nice patio, good coffee, friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Affordable rooms and convenient location. A ten minute walk from the Ostiense station on the train line from FCO. The 24 bus stops directly in front of the hotel and the Piramide metro station is a 10 min walk too. There are plenty of produce stands and grocery stores within 5 minutes and the gelato place across the street was one of the best that I experienced while in Rome.
The rooms are affordable and what you would expect given the rates that you can book on all the travel sites. The amenities are a little dated, but the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The wifi is good. They have a kitchen area and you can keep food in the refrigerator, but you're not allowed to cook.
The B&B is managed by Massimo, but Bruno and Luigi are the guys that are there every day doing the cleaning and serving breakfast. Breakfast is just coffee, juice, and some form of pound cake. They don't speak English, but we communicated with google translate.
- L (8/5): Good value - The host, Bruno, is very accommodating. We effectively communicated via translation apps. Our room was comfortable with a modern bathroom and balcony view of Rome. It is convenient to the metro and the train to the airport, 10 minute walk at most. It is clean and location feels safe. The best gelato, Gelateria La Romana, we had in Rome is across the street and Alice pizza is excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): GREAT - A fantastically clean property. We had a wonderful meal right across the street at a pizzeria which was fabulous! This was merely an overnight stay to catch the train to the airport. Excellent value and very comfortable
- Laura (10/5): Cozy, clean, comforting, loved it - Loved it. For the price it was outstanding. It was our wedding anniversary trip and so fit the bill. Our room had a cute little balcony over the main street Via Ostiense. So walkable to the Ostiense metro stop, which is one of the main ones, and just a couple stops from e.g. the Colisseum and Roman Forum. The owner greeted us, seemed to really want us to enjoy Rome and had suggestions re: buses. Just loved it, recommend it to anyone visiting room.
- craig1234m (10/5): Great Location and Great Staff - Arrived here after 5 days in Tuscany. The entrance was a little hard to find at first but eventually got there. On arrival we were met by Bruno who is a little diamond. He doesn't speak much English but I knew that before from reviews. That doesn't stop him being helpful though. With out asking he got a map out and showed us all the good places to go, how to get to the Vatican, bus numbers, where to get them etc etc. For anything too complicated we both used Google Translate. He took us to our room which was smaller than I'd hoped but again, I'd seen the photos before hand so no issues. The view over the city was amazing also.
Breakfast each morning was a lemon drizzle type cake made by Bruno himself which, although probably wasn't the best breakfast for a day of walking and sight seeing, was delicious. Also coffee, juices, other cakes and stuff too. I'm sure if you asked there may have been cereal etc also.
Our flight wasn't until later in the day so Bruno gave us a key for the office and let us store our cases there. Top man.
Located about a 5 min walk from the "Piramide" and 20-30 mins from the Colloseum it's in a prime location to start your day. Plenty of restaurants and what not nearby too. Top marks.
- PearlCanada (6/5): Nice view from our balcony on the 9th floor. - Piramide Terrace met our needs perfectly as we were travelling with our adult son to visit his old neighbourhood nearby and we also wanted to have a tour of Vatican City. Our triple room had wifi, a/c & private bathroom. The balcony was a plus and offered a nice view and a nice breeze. The owner was very helpful and friendly. He served tea/coffee and a snack for breakfast on the outside terrace, plus there were kitchen facilities available for the guests. The only reason I didn't rate this place a 4 is because in comparison to other equally-priced places we stayed on our trip, it seemed the place could use an overall tidying/freshening up and the third bed in our room was not great for an adult and breakfast wasn't very good. Bruno, however, was super friendly and our room was clean and adequate :)
- Muriel999 (6/5): A little disappointed - Good location. Only Italian speaking! .only Italian television. The room with private shower and toilet is very hot in the morning and very bright.very small bed and not very good matras. But room has directly access to the terass .Very disappointed with breakfast included. 4 breakfasts exactly the same, croissants in plastic bag. cookies in plastic bag,and cake . that's all ! I had to ask for some jam and butter.good coffee, tea but cheap think juces. I did not find the person who works there very friendly 😕. But then the area is very cheap to eat compare to the centre .....you just have to find the restaurants in one of the back streets .
- Matthew (10/5): Great B&B near good food and transportation - The location is near perfect. It's far enough away from tourist areas to be quiet and close enough to the Metro to easily access the city. Right across from you are a pastry shop, a high quality, affordable, authentic Italian pizzeria, and the best gelato we had while in Rome. Almost immediately beside you are a coffee shop, a pharmacy, and a grocery store.
The B&B itself is quaint, and breakfast is light, but satisfying. The rooms have a pretty good air conditioning system and the internet is fast enough to stream movies. The patio, at 9 floors up, offers a nice little getaway if you're looking to stay in. All said, the place, for the price, is just about as good as it gets in Rome.
The only complaint I have is that the elevator is sometimes slow. In the morning, we had two occasions when it was faster to take the stairs.
- Ryan (10/5): Fantastic! - Welcoming place to stay in Rome! Comfortable, clean stay at the Priamide! Good location for transport when using the trains or metros.
- Harri2203 (10/5): Little gem - This b&b was a fantastic find...very reasonable price, super location for links to transport, very clean- lovely breakfast and extremely warm welcome from the owner, even though he didn't speak any English! Super place to stay whilst in Rome!
- monster07 (8/5): Family B&B with great location and well equipped. - I decided to stay with Piramide Terrace for 2 nights in Rome. The location is close by Roma Ostiense train station where you can reach there directly from Roma Airport(FCO) and walk for 10 min to the B&B. I arrived there at night and tried to find the building, there was no sign but you could find the little name plate at front of building. The B&B is located at 9th floor with elevator. The room was clean and spacious with balcony. Restroom was very clean but tiny. Kitchen was fully equipped and sufficient space to have a meal. The owners were very friendly but they couldn't speak English anymore, however we communicated with Google Translate. They prepared delicious breakfast and taught some Italian phases for us.
We were so happy with this place.
I have attached some photos of this place that can help your decision.
Thank you.
- G & M (10/5): Lovely B&B for New Years' Week - It was really nice to have a hotel that was close to so many amenities and the manager is a really lovely gentleman. He took very good care of us, going so far as to give us some medicine on a Sunday when we couldn't find a pharmacy when my fiancé was feverish and had a sore throat. The breakfast in the morning is great, too!
Location-wise, the hotel is not quite within the Aurelian Walls (although it is walking distance), and its proximity to Ostiense Station and a direct bus line to the Vatican makes it a good bet to go to all the major tourist places. It's close enough to the river that popping across to spend time in the swanky Trastevere area is no pain at all. It's also sufficiently off the beaten track enough that you aren't surrounded or crowded in by tourists as you would be up near the Trevi Fountain; and as it's not more than a half-hour walk home from that area (if you don't mind a walk) you're not too far away from anything good to see.
For New Years, we didn't even need to leave the hotel room balcony to be able to see all of the fireworks on the western side of Rome! It was a really lovely stay and we will definitely book here the next time we come to Rome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pirimide B&B, Rome - Probably best not to arrive at night. It was a little daunting walking from the station to the B &B at that time, however it was easy after that. Also the train system was brilliant. On arrival at the hotel we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal, but adequate.
- Sayed Ahmed (10/5): - I have stayed for there for 3 days. The room was good and very clean. The place run by old man who was trying his best to help me in anything. big thanks for him .
- Sam (8/5): Recommended :) - B&B Piramide Terrace was a lovely place to stay in Rome. A 20 minute walk from the Colisseum, the hotel is well situated close to a main metro line. The owners served delicious homemade cake every morning with our coffee and yogurt.
- Jess (10/5): Very good location 👍🏻 - its very good located. around the corner of Termini Stn and 5 mins walk to train stn, 30mins walk to the Colliseum, 30mins walk to Fiume Tevere bars, 5mins walk to the nightclub strip, etc. You can find really good restaurants, best ice cream places, supermarkets, fruit shops just across the street. My stay was comfortable and it felt at home, owners are very nice, attentive and good cooks! I rented a bike for 10euros for 24 hrs and got to see almost everything in one day. Take 5 hrs at least for the Colisuem & Palatine and full day for the Basilica.
- Alexander (10/5): very nice place with convenient location -
This place is beter than a ususal hotel - there is an equipped kitchen and a terrace where you can have a lunch or dinner (nice view and tables with chairs are guaranteed). Breakfast is served on the terrace as well. There is also air conditioning and hairdryer in every room and a fridge in the kitchen.
The location is very convenient - close to metro station Piramide and 2 train stations (no noise really). You can take a train to the sea shore Lido Di Ostia for 1,5 euros. Also, we took a train from the Fiumicino airoport right to the station Roma Ostience (about 10 munites walk to the B&B Piramide Terrace). Colliseo is 25 minutes walk away - we always walked to sightseeings.
Close to the building entrance there is a grocery store Tuodi, 100m away there is another grocery store Carrefour (it is bigger than Tuodi). Pizzerias and cafes are everywhere around (a lot to choose from). On the opposite side there is Alice (pizza) and famous Roma Gelateria.
The hosts are very nice and friendly. They sereved breakfast every morning: coffe, juice, croissants, jogurts, cake, butter and jam.
We had a room with private bathroom and 2 doors from the room led to the terrace (other guests had the access to the terrace via the kitchen). We spend there 7 days and were very pleased with B&B Piramide Terrace.
