- Thomas (10/5): Mansion Hill Inn - I cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife and I spent our 1 year anniversary here and we enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. This is one of the best staffs at a hotel/inn that I have ever encountered. Special shoutout to Ethan who gave us tips about local places to eat and other attractions to check out. If all that wasn't enough, the place is absolutely beautiful and it is truly the perfect location in Madison. It is just a short stroll to the lake, downtown, State St., and UW's campus. Highly recommend!

My friends were so jealous that they were in a hotel once they saw the Mansion Hill Inn. If my travels bring me back to Madison, this is where I will stay.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is beautiful and in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was comfortable and had a nice patio (fyi door sticks to the patio and should be repaired). Breakfast was yogurt, fruit, pastries, brie and pancetta, so not a big deal but was nice. Our room was a bit small, but really nice. The only issue we had was we were told we could park on the street overnight and we ended up getting a ticket because you can't park there after a certain time on Thursdays. The gentleman that was working that morning tried to be helpful but probably should have just said we will take care of it right away. He kept mentioning that we should have chosen the valet and we had to keep explaining that we were told we didn't need it because we could park on the street. Not a big deal but slightly irritating. In the end he took the ticket and said he would talk to the manager. I would recommend staying here. It was a really nice experience aside from a small glitch.
- Douglas (10/5): Cool bldg Great svc and location - A beautiful and interesting historical building in a great location just blocks from downtown. Service was amazing. Parking was super ez. Only suggestion would be that when walking down the stairs from the lobby to our ground floor room, a storage hall had lots of catering dishes plastic trays stacked up directly in your welcoming view. Hide them please!

- David (10/5): Wonderful little hotel - This was a small hotel, perhaps part bed and breakfast, part full service, but ran by extremely attentive and helpful staff. The building, exterior and interior, were beautiful, and it makes a perfect play stay whether you need quiet time to get work done on a business trip or want a getaway with your spouse. I'd highly recommend it.

- Gene (2/5): Great hotel, if you don’t mind the humming - I’ll start with the good part. It’s a lovely historic building with a very welcoming staff. I was greater warmly and the room looked very nice. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. I soon discovered that there’s a bank of large air conditioner units outside, just on the other side of the wall behind the bed. This may not bother some people, but I find the incessant humming interminable. I’ve been forced to sleep on the floor to get as far from the humming as possible. I’ve been informed there are no other free rooms here, and I would have booked a different hotel, but everything is booked. So, it’s a week of sleeping on the floor for me...
- Julie (10/5): - The staff was beyond excellent. I'm not sure how they train the staff at Mansion Hill, but it is clearly working. Rodney seemed more like a relaxed host welcoming me to his home and city. All staff members had an honest concern for me as a person and guest, and not overly fussy either. All luxury hotels should take note of what's happening here.
