• DENNIS (10/5): - This property is very close to the port. It is easily walkable without any hills to worry about. It is conveniently located near the harbour and its many bars and restaurants and attractions. The property has a nice courtyard to have your included breakfast and evening cocktails. However there is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner. Kostas was very friendly and personable, as well was his cousin in the evening. Our room #11 was spacious and very adequate for our 2 night stay and overlooked the courtyard. The area is very quiet at night.

Frukost som var mycket generös och god. Mycket trevlig ägare och personal, och till sist, ett klart prisvärt hotell, så visst, jag kan verkligen rekommendera det!

• Stavros (10/5): - We stayed here for three days. The staff were wonderful. They offer a nice breakfast in a lovely courtyard. The rooms and property were very clean and our room had a nice patio with a view of the town. The area around the hotel is very quiet but only a few minutes walk to the waterfront with many restaurants, cafes and bars. You can walk to swimming areas or take a water taxi to other areas. We were happy with this hotel and Hydra and will be back! Thank you to the wonderful staff.

• Ozzie (6/5): - Can't Recommend. The basic quality of Hotel is for me determined by the Bed/mattress quality. The mattress needed replacing years ago. The Mini Split AC Unit was very hard to operate. This Hotel has a water heater, so you need to turn this on 20-30m Prior to showering. The heater was leaking. Im a cold shower person which is not common so this water heater issue would be a problem for most travelers. It's a budget hotel with a poor bed. I would look for other options to stay. Don't really write reviews often, but the bed quality issue is just a basic minimum, that if it's not at least decent, I have to mention.
• Kat (10/5): - Lovely traditional hotel not too far away from Hydra’s port, with nice and rather minimal decoration suitable to the island’s colour. The staff were very accommodating. I have visited Hydra dozens of times over the years but it was the first time staying here- will definitely select it again next time!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location - The hotel is ideally located for the ferry, being just a few minutes walk away, without having to climb any stairs/hills. The hotel has a variety of room styles available, some including a terrace, and is very clean. The breakfast is buffet style with a range of options. Wifi was available through the hotel, although if you are a distance from reception the signal can be weak. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

• Verified traveler (8/5): lovely hotel with very friendly staff - Very nice hotel close to everything in Hydra town. Only thing they should change is wifi in the rooms in addition to the reception - and the breakfast. It was mostly a bunch of desserts. Cakes, marmelade, sweet biscuits etc. But the front yard of the mansion was so beautiful, the rooms where lovely and sraff the same.

• donna (10/5): Beautiful hotel , exellent service - I had an wonderful time in Hydra , the place without a single car and amazing beaches! Hotel Ippocampos is very well connected to the port and all the cafés and restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with information. I got the best advices about where to go for food and beaches. I will definitely go back there !
