• Eric (10/5): Only in krakow. - Kind people. Our trip to a attraction was in the early time of morning, the staff made us a breakfast to go. Because we would miss the breakfast at the hotell. Problem solvers. Dont be discuraged by the look of the outside of the hotell. The inside is amasing and modern.

• Eyal (6/5): Better stay in the winter days? - The hotel fasade looks abandoned which was quite worrying for me, but we arrived early to check in and were greeted with a lovely receptionist, which tried to find us a room and kindly directed us to a nearby parking. Unfortunately thst is where the postives ended for us as when we went up the room it was extremely warm, although the fan and windows were open. It was 27c ourside. The hotel doesn't have air-conditioning of any kind or a lift... so this may be suitable for the winter time more than summer days.

• Ilona (10/5): Great experience! Recommended - I was traveling with my nephew to Zakopane and decited to stay in Krakow for the night. The location and the price was fabulous! We had a modern, fresh, clean and comfortable room. Nice and safe location with a little gated courtyard... Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Overnight great experience! Recommended.

Breakfast buffet was more than adequate, epsecially considering the very reasonable cost to stay. Hotel has just decorated ao looked very fresh. Only criticisms, bottled water not replaced daily and twin beds pushed togther in our room meaning there was a wood participation between us.
• Darren (6/5): Great value & Great location - We stayed here for 4 nights, booked a standard double room they put us in a family room which was quite large but the bed was up against the wall. Clean , nice modern bathroom, great shower pressure however the bed was hard as a rock and did not get a good night sleep which can effect your hole trip. Breakfast was included which was adequate. Approx 8 min easy walk into the main old square. Located off a Main Street behind Iron gates in a court yard so nice and quiet, but sign outside not lit up and does not stand out. Booked a transfer which the hotel Organised to the apartment from the airport cost us 90 pln and when we left a taxi cost us 50 pln. Reception not very informative

However there is almost no sound proof for this building, you can hear everything from the other room, foot steps, conversations, even the TV they were watching i could clearly hear. It was really loud and the customer above us was having an argument from mid night - 2:30am!!!! Bring your ear plugs.

The staff were extremely helpful and even arranged for us to get lunch boxes on the days our trips started before breakfast which was a lovely touch. The day we had time for breakfast - there was plenty of choice - hot and cold. The only thing that I would be critical of is the soundproofing - felt a bit uncomfortable that I could hear our neighbours quite clearly and them us. If visiting Krakow again we would Probably stay here again as it was Also very central.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - From outside we were a bit dubious. Once we entered the courtyard it was very surprising. We had a quadruple room. This was based on the first floor. The room was very clean & bright, the 4 beds were well spaced apart & we even had table & chairs. They had provided bottled water, tea & coffee. Surprisingly in the cupboard was a small fridge. Plenty of wardrobe space, the shower, toilet was very spacious & modern with a hairdryer. The buffet breakfast was unbelievable. You could have hot food if you preferred, but they buffet had everything from cereal to hams, cheeses, biscuits, salad, bread, rolls,pancakes,toasties, omelettes. Fantastic choice also tea,coffee & hot chocolate. Fruit juices as well.

The breakfast is one of the best we've seen, the staff at front desk went above and beyond to be helpful. The rooms are not large but have everything you need. I would definitely go back and recommend.
• Janey-dee (6/5): - Nice little courtyard hidden from main road, small but well decorated modern room but very hot in June no air con, just floor standing fan. So much heat coming from mini fridge in a cupboard fridge ineffective hot inside, we had to leave cupboard door open. No lift top floor is 60 steps, bear in mind if you have poor mobility. Breakfast included is very good.

• DMon (8/5): - Good variety breakfast each morning, simple check in and out. Helpful staff if you happen to have questions. Outer gate locked at night time for additional safety. Clean, bright rooms with a comfy bed. AC would be better than a fan, but it did the job well enough.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - The apartment was a good size, however the fittings were cheap, and there was no A/C so I had to have the windows open. It was situated on a courtyard which got very noisy at times (I had to sleep with earplugs) and people also smoked on the balconies in the courtyard, so as a non-smoker all I could smell was smoke. Also be aware that on arrival you will have to sign a short-term tenancy agreement, as these are apartments as apposed to a hotel. The location of the building was on a very noisy road, and even though the apartments were on the central courtyard part of the building I could still hear trams & people on the main road. So if you are looking for a quiet smoke-free place to stay, this isn't it.

Cold buffet breakfast was good and there were made to order hot options. Our windows opened onto the courtyard (very cool and nice) but if people were smoking we'd have to close them right away. The front desk has fans if you request them.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - These are excellent value for money apartments just 5 minutes walk from the town square. Its not a 5 star hotel, but you dont visit Krakow for the sun and beach. You visit to see the sights which are all in casual walking distance as are many bars, cafes or restaurants. At the end of the day, Platania is perfect for local accommodation and a good nights sleep. WE will stay there again, when we return to see krakow in the summer.

• Jason (8/5): Nice hotel close to the old town - Only a 10 minute walk to the old town from this hotel which is set back from the street. Spotlessly clean and beautiful bathroom in a quiet room. Breakfast lovely. The only complaint from us was the very hard mattress but I think this might be usual of the region.

It was situated about 10 minutes walk from the attractions in Krakow and was very quiet away from the busy road. The breakfast room was a bit small but food was good. Apartment was clean and adequate for a few days stay.
• Martyn (10/5): Very nice area - Excellent apartment with plenty of space for 2 adults. A small fridge in the room which came in useful. A tv on the wall and a dining table should you need it. The room was extremely spacious. A small courtyard came in handy also for sitting outside in the sun whilst waiting for pickups etc. The staff were extremely pleasant and always tried to help. There was a baggage room so you can leave your luggage after check out should your flight be later in the day, this came in very useful as we didnt need to lug our bags around with us all day until our late flight. The area was spot on too, around 5 mins walk away from Krakow Old Town
• Angela (8/5): Good location - Small friendly hotel, quite hard to find as between shops behind gates. Main Square, Jewish Quarter, train and bus station 20 mins walk. Hotel good condition, room was small but functional, the bed however was very hard unfortunately.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Apartment hotel with great location and service - Very close to the Stare Miasto. About 1km from the river (I went for some long runs along the riverside, great views...), about 700 m from the main train station. I did not use the trams, but there is a tram stop very near. Friendly service. Nice breakfast.
• S (8/5): Good location - A nice little hotel in an ideal location. Within easy walking distance, if you like walking, of Krakow's main square, the Jewish quarter and Schindler's factory. Lots of nice little restaurants and cafes close by as well as supermarkets and small shops. Staff freindly and amenable, allowing us to print our boarding cards for the return journey. However, I would recommend booking any trips once in Krakow rather than through the hotel, or seek out online deals. Krakow is a beautiful city :-)
• Mary (8/5): Good apartment hotel with breakfast - Good apartment hotel with nice breakfast situated near old town square. Ideal for visiting all areas of the city. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant and room very clean. Beds very firm which may not suit all. Access via a courtyard with gates on the street which were locked in the evening meaning felt very secure as access granted by reception only. Would certainly go back.

• Steve (10/5): Friendly Hotel - In Poland the people are generally friendly - so it is no surprise that they were here at this hotel. However what sets them apart is that they went the extra mile at a drop of a hat!!! For example we arranged a tour through them that left before breakfast service started so they kindly provided some food to take with us. In al a very good hotel!
• Verified traveler (6/5): A bit disappointed - We were disappointed to discover that although we had a fridge it did not work. After enquiring with reception we were given the opportunity to put things in the kitchen fridge which wasn't really the answer! There was a lot of noise throughout the night made by people coming in & out, up and down the stairs. We were given duvets, separate covers (presumably to make our own beds), it was too hot to use a duvet but were not given top sheets so had to use duvet cover as a sheet! On a positive note breakfast was excellent.

Got a bit concerned with lack of air-conditioning but I asked if they knew anywhere that sold a fan on my first night and they said they had a spare! Can't fault it, and next time I am in Krakow, hopefully next year, I will be staying again.

Platinia is set back from the street in a lovely courtyard, entered through an art nouveau archway. It is so quiet and restful, one can rest their tired feet amongst the plants and trees! Super staff, in particular Nadia! Great breakfast and large room with ensuite and all the mod cons. Platinia has all one needs and more, very reasonably priced, super clean and quiet. I recommend this establishment readily and will return.
• John (10/5): Great hotel hidden away near old city - This hotel is simple and quaint -- no frills but clean, quiet and very close to the old city at a very great price. I have stayed here two times and am thankful for it. A hidden gem in the heart of Krakow.

• Michael (4/5): The noise and smoking make it a no-go. - Room was excellent, buffet and service superb, but the noise from the courtyard was constant throughout the night and the smoking of people in the courtyard always came directly into the room. Talking and smoke into your room (and I was on the 3rd floor) every night between 11pm - 6 am. Then more people talking in the morning so you can’t even catch up on the sleep you lost during the night. There is no ventilation so you must open the windows for any air - this means you will get no sleep throughout the night from the constant talking and smoking. It’s such a shame, but never again.

• Ted (10/5): Nice hotel, a short walk to Old Town. - Cute room, cute courtyard. Ideal location. On a street which has restaurants & convenience store items but not overly busy. A 2-minute walk to a beautiful park which encircles Old Town. Our 16-year old daughter loved it too.

Nothing was too much problem. The staff were helpful spoke very good English, it was very clean tidy and had a great decor. Close to the town information was provided for trips and local site seeing events, whilst in the square great night life again great food and beer was good.

Staff always friendly, smiling & happy to help. We needed a corkscrew one night, & the receptionist produced one from a drawer without batting an eyelid. Really appreciated the small fridge in the room. Being set back from the road and with its own courtyard, made the hotel very quiet & easy to get a good nights sleep.

• Claire (10/5): Close to centre - You walk in to this little hidden treasure. Through a small courtyard to the entrance of the hotel. Lovely clean rooms staff been so helpful. I asked about tours and they pre booked these for us. And a taxi from the airport, which made it very hassle free for us. Highly recommend and will happily stay here again. Depends how quick you walk but is 5-10min to centre/cloth hall straight down the road. convenient location. Buffet breakfast so much to choose from, and on request they can o oats/porridge, scrambled/fried or omelette. I wasn’t bothered but the beds are lower than what we have in the UK. Bathroom good size with shower.
• George (10/5): More than your money’s worth - Myself and my partner have just stayed at the Platinia for 4 nights, the hotel was helpful right from the off and ordered a taxi to pick us up from the airport. Staff were really helpful and the hotel room was spotless. The shower and bathroom was perfect. It includes a breakfast which was ideal as well with plenty to choose from. 10 minute walk from the main square and not too far away from the Jewish quarter. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Nice room, clean practical , fantastic area - Practical no fuss room with everything you need. Fridge, mini toiletries, fluffy towels, excellent breakfast . Very friendly helpful reception staff.

• karen (10/5): extremely good location - This hotel couldn’t be in a better location for the market square and the Jewish quarter. A 5-10 minute walk in either direction to each one. The hotel is set back off the main road and easy to miss. No lifts available in the hotel which could be an issue. Breakfast had a great choice but sometimes the staff were hard to find to request hot food. When requested it was freshly prepared. The rooms were newly refurbished and very clean. The only downside was that the bed was very hard and had a plasticky cover.
