• dawnfk17 (10/5): Warm, Friendly, Exceptional Staff - Vista Celestial was the location of our yoga retreat in Feb 2026. EVERYTHING was perfect! The staff, the food, the accommodations, the amenities, the property and again/especially the staff! They treated you like longtime friends...so warm & friendly. It's impossible not to love it here. Everyone was extremely attentive but we had personal interactions with some of the staff and very happy to give them a "shout out" here: Shirley was amazing handling all of our needs; Marcos is a fabulous server...so friendly & attentive; Keilor & Kevin were also fabulous in the dining area & behind the bar (the drinks were superb!); we got to meet all the chefs & they were so friendly and just love their jobs preparing amazing, nourishing food for the guests (Aaron, Harold & Joseph); you were always in good hands with Berny behind the wheel driving where you needed to go. While we did not have personal/by-name interactions with Housekeeping, Maintenance, or the Gardeners, every time we saw them, there was always a friendly smile & greeting. And clearly they are amazing at their jobs because the gardens & landscaping are beautiful and the rooms and grounds are pristine & all exceptionally maintained. And the setup of the yoga areas was exceptional! We definitely will return and we can't wait.

The only thing I didn't like was the trail to the yoga platform and the walk up to the top. It was hard and treacherous and in my option dangerous. It was annoying to have to get a ride back and forth every day. The drive up to the villas was pretty scary as well.

• Pioneer24258805069 (10/5): The Best Place to Stay in Uvita! - We chose to spend the first half of our honeymoon at Vista Celestial and it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. If you want to visit Uvita, Costa Rica, there’s truthfully no better place and we could not recommend it more! From the time we touched down in Costa Rica, our driver was there waiting for us. It’s a decent drive to Uvita, but from the very beginning he made sure we knew he was there for whatever we may need. When we arrived at Vista Celestial, we were immediately greeted with a welcome drink and one of the most breath taking views overlooking Whale Tail beach. The check in process was quick and easy and before we knew it we were in our private villa. Wow. The villas are truly remarkable! They’re so nice you almost don’t ever want to leave your room. We did excursions to zipline and head down to whale tail beach and in both instances we had a car outside our room, ready to take us wherever we needed to go - and communication with the staff was a breeze through whatsapp! Finally, the food was so delicious. We looked forward to every meal, especially dinner which was a surprise 3 course meal every night determined by the chef on site. We split our honeymoon with another location in Costa Rica and the staff at Vista Celestial helped us figure out all our travel and made sure we got where we needed to be for our transfer. The people were truly invested in our experience and we’re so grateful for it! It was a luxury vacation in every sense of the phrase. If you’re thinking about choosing Vista Celestial, do it!!

After a very disappointing Airbnb experience and finding everything else fully booked, Jennie went above and beyond to secure villas for our family on incredibly short notice, and it completely turned our trip around. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the accommodations are just as stunning, beautifully designed, comfortable, and perfectly situated to take in the natural surroundings. It quickly became the highlight of our entire vacation. Our three teenagers absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. It felt like a true escape for all of us. The staff made the experience even more special. Arbid and Shirley were incredibly kind and helpful, and Kevin and Marcos were outstanding, friendly, attentive, and full of fantastic recommendations. Kevin, in particular, suggested beaches and restaurants around Uvita that we never would have discovered on our own, and those ended up being some of our favorite experiences. We are so grateful for the warmth, hospitality, and care we received. This place is truly something special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend!

• Alejandro (1/5): Pésimo, no lo recomendamos - La vista desde la villa es buena (solo faltaría), pero en absoluto compensa todo lo demás. Por suerte solo teníamos 2 noches reservadas y nos marchamos en la primera a otro hotel del estilo, pero mucho mejor. Acceso al hotel muy complicado: 3 km por camino en mal estado, 4x4 imprescindible, se tarda unos 40 min en subir y bajar (20 minutos por trayecto), lo que hace muy incómodo entrar y salir del hotel si quieres hacer más cosas. Las instalaciones son muy básicas: jacuzzi pequeño, sin chorros y con acceso bastante peligroso; piscina fría y suelo alrededor de la misma resbaladizo. Además ni se ve la puesta de sol (en Abril). Villas demasiado juntas, se escucha el ruido de otros huéspedes. Terraza de las villas sin ningún tipo de protección, algo peligroso teniendo en cuenta que no es un hotel only-adults. Varios fallos graves de diseño (entra toda la luz al amanecer porque no se pueden cubrir las ventanas laterales de las villas y quedan totalmente abiertas, baño sin ventilación natural. Servicio muy por debajo de lo que debería ser un 5 estrellas: sin teléfono en la habitación, sin turn down, todo de pago (ni agua de cortesía), desayuno con poca variedad y restaurante con opciones muy limitadas. Relación calidad-precio muy baja.

The resort is just stunning, I appreciated all the special touches, and the staff is absolutely fantastic!! The service was above and beyond. The accommodations are gorgeous, comfortable, and well planned out. The food was incredible. Everything was just so great!!! I will be returning.
• Q8585ACnatalied (10/5): One of our favorite places we have stayed! - We just can't say enough about Vista Celestial - it was such a gorgeous, relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. The Villas are absolutely gorgeous, amazing view, super comfortable in every way. We loved waking up in the mornings to the view and the sounds of the forest, and being visited by birds and our banana-eating cuati! The view from the deck is unbeatable. The staff were so kind, friendly, and super efficient and helpful. The restaurant food was AMAZING - delicious and fresh, creative without being overly elaborate - in fact we cancelled another dinner so we could eat there another night. Staying down in Uvita instead of Quepos felt much more relaxing and close to nature. This spot is definitely on our top list of favorite places ever, and we will definitely come back.
• Natalie (10/5): A perfect place to stay in Costa Rica! - We absolutely loved Vista Celestial. It is such a beautiful, relaxing and fun place to stay. The property was gorgeous, filled with birds and wildlife, and the view of the ocean and Whales Tale was incredible. The villa was so comfortable, beautifully appointed and spacious. The staff was so kind, responsive and friendly, just totally on top of their service game, but it never felt intrusive. Finally - the food was amazing! It was delicious, fresh and creative without feeling “overdone”; we actually cancelled other reservations to eat one more night at the restaurant. I’m so glad we chose to stay down in small, special Uvita instead of up in Quepos, which is much busier. We loved it all. Literally nothing to say that we didn’t like.

Truthfully, we came in with very high expectations based on previous reviews, photos, etc., and our expectations were only exceeded. The food was fresh and truly amazing, the service was world class and the staff truly makes you feel like family, and you simply can’t say enough about how beautiful the hotel is. We very highly recommend. If you have the option to do excursions, the ATV tour and zip lining were incredible. And if all of that wasn’t enough, everywhere you go, the people in Uvita are very welcoming and friendly, which completely made the trip.

Marco, Kevin, Keylor and all the other staff went out of their way to make sure our visit was amazing. The food was top notch, attending to all of our dietary needs. Cleanliness is top priority at Vista Celestial, our room was cleaned everyday with turn down service at night. The property was absolutely spotless. I will definitely return to Vista Celestial and highly recommend it.

• Xlshirtz (10/5): Blissful Yoga Retreat - This resort is nestled in the lush rainforest and surrounded by beautiful foliage and an occasional sighting of interesting animals and a large variety of birds. The yoga platforms are distinctly different and offer the best of nature sounds and beautiful views. The staff are friendly and eager to please and take a lot of pride in their work. We stayed in the garden villas which resembled homes in the US. They were well maintained and clean. If you need a quiet getaway to rest and relax, enjoy great food, and see the beauty of Costa Rica, I would highly recommend staying at Vista Celestial.
• annpQ4676CH (10/5): A Restorative Retreat Experience in a Breathtaking Setting - I hosted a small women’s wellness retreat at Vista Celestial Boutique Hotel through my work with SkyView Coaching and my Soul CPR programs, and it was the perfect setting for unplugging from daily stressor and reconnecting with oneself. Surrounded by breathtaking ocean views, lush jungle, and the soothing sounds of nature, the environment itself became part of the wellness experience. We gathered each morning on the yoga platform for gentle movement and mindset sessions, and again in the evenings on the sun deck to take in stunning sunsets while sharing reflective conversations. With just a handful of private villas, the property felt both luxurious and deeply personal. The property offered plenty of walking and exploring or simply relaxing in-between. The concierge staff were invaluable in helping create the ideal plan for extracurricular activities off-property, and the mangroves tour was a highlight for these nature-loving women! One of the unexpected delights of the trip was the extraordinary cuisine and attentive waitstaff. Not only did they memorize our names and dietary restrictions, they made every meal an artful adventure in itself. For those traveling from a distance, it’s worth noting the property is about a 3.5-hour drive from San José. I recommend arriving a day early to enjoy San José and break up the journey—it makes the transition into retreat mode even more enjoyable. I look forward to hosting a repeat retreat at Vista Celestial for those who are already telling me they regret missing out on this one!

Mornings on the deck I especially enjoyed - the view, the sounds - all provided a wake up I relished. The view was SPECTACULAR - get an Ocean Villa if you can 🤩 The staff…. EVERY member of the staff was outstanding. Welcoming, friendly, accommodating, helpful, delightful. The concierge, the wait staff, the chefs, the drivers were all outstanding ! Even the invisible (to me) housekeeping crew did a spectacular job of refreshing the room at least twice a day. The food was so fresh and fabulously prepared and presented. There was a lot of fresh fruit at every meal, delicious! In addition, everyday we were offered a freshly blended juice drink. I always accepted - they were so delicious and refreshing. I wholeheartedly recommend Vista Celestial to friends and family.

I have stayed at both the ocean and garden villas, they are both fantastic and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The entire property is beautiful. The staff is phenomenal and caring. Everything is thoughtful and intentional. I can feel myself calming when I arrive here. The food and drinks and pools are just icing on the cake. I feel restored when I return from here. I cannot recommend the hotel enough. Thank you to everyone who works here you make the stay!
• 389yumik (10/5): 5/5 amazing resort! - My wife and I came to Vista Celestial for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. From start to end it was perfect. We indulged in the all inclusive adventure package, which they accomodated to our wants and needs. Every transportation pick up was punctual, every message sent on whatsapp was replied to, and every excursion was planned out for us. We didn't have to lift a finger if we didn't want to. I think a big part of that was due to our consierge lady, Melissa. She was there most of the days we were there and was very communicative. The food was also great, especially when we did our cooking class with chef Adriana. She was so friendly and fun, she truly made it a great experience. Also, all the waitstaff were amazing, we especially loved having Marcos around. He was so sweet and funny, he was our favorite waitstaff for sure. He also makes great cocktails and mocktails, which we definitely indulged in. Staying in a smaller boutique resort was definitely the way to go. Not crowded, so they were able to pay attention to their visitors more, and just seemed like they could better pay attention to the finer details of the resort (like having housekeeping come in twice a day for our room). Thank you to Vista Celestial for making our honeymoon a 10 out of 10 experience!
• Z8411WAdebbieh (10/5): Incredible intimate resort in Uvita, Costa Rica - What an incredible resort. I traveled to Vista Celestial for a Pilates retreat and had an exceptional experience. The resort is small and intimate, beautifully maintained, and wonderfully tranquil, yet alive with jungle sounds and frequent sightings of monkeys and toucans. The staff were warm, attentive, and anticipated our every need. The views are truly spectacular—especially from the villas, where opening the curtains reveals sweeping mountain views down to the whale’s tail below. I highly recommend the head, neck and shoulder massage - and get it on the patio at your room. The food and drinks were great and added to an already unforgettable stay.

The resort and staff could not have been any better. My group found out if was my birthday and the staff put a bottle of Blanc de Blanc in my room, and served me a beautiful cake at dinner. Seeing the Pacific Ocean and the whale tail daily, was spectacular! I love sunsets and they were spectacular!

Pearched on a hill with a spectacular view of the ocean amidst beautiful trees and flowering plants and the sounds of toucans and monkeys, it is a real treat for a get-away. The villas are updated, spacious, with private pools and lovely paths to walk on the property. The meals prepared by their chef and staff were plentiful and delicious! The sea bass cerviche was the best I have ever had. Finally, the staff and level of service were superb! They were attentive, eager to please the guests, and provided impeccable service. I would highly recommend Vista Celestial!
• B1701IFhaleyb (10/5): A MUST GO!!! You will be in HEAVEN. - Wow. What an incredible place. The staff are WONDERFUL. The owner Greg truly cares and the entire crew went above and beyond for us. Even calling a taxi driver to locate my friends phone when she left it in the taxi. The place is BEAUTIFUL. High end luxurious and insanely incredible views. Also, the food is incredible. Best food I've had in Costa Rica and I have lived here for three years. It was super clean, comfortable beds, quiet and with the noise of the jungle. It is pretty isolated at the top of a mountain so it is very peaceful and your really in the jungle mountains. What we got for the price was pretty spectacular. Absolutely worth the value. The staff again made us feel so safe cared for and comfortable. A note if you are driving or taking a taxi is you MUST have a 4x4. You have to really venture up the jungle and the mountain to get there. It is a pretty vertical drive. Follow the signs, and keep going up. Once you get there, it truly is Vista Celestial. I cannot recommend this place enough. GO.
• Road04438351801 (10/5): Relaxing and exhilarating stay at Vista Celestial with wonderful views of the forest and ocean. Great food and service. - I was at this beautiful and secluded resort in the mountains of Uvita, Costa Rica for a week as part of a yoga retreat. It was serene and quiet as we were surrounded by the forest and had glorious views of the ocean and the natural beauty surrounding us. The villa that we stayed in was recently upgraded and was well kept and fully equipped with a kitchen. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and was cleaned and serviced in the morning and evenings. The food and service at the dining area was superb and the meals were delicious - breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were all prepared onsite by their chefs. They had a happy hour in the evening. The servers were very attentive and catered to all our needs. It so happened that I was not feeling well for a couple of days and the management made me special meals and delivered them to my villa. They were so obliging and caring and I could not thank them enough for taking care of me. For some people, walking down the unlit gravel path uphill and downhill from the villas to the dining area and main pool could be challenging especially at night time. It can also get slippery after it has rained. They were very obliging to give people a ride in one of their vehicles to and from the dining area, if it was requested. Viewing the sunset from the deck of the pool area where we did our evening yoga was wonderful. Looking out into the horizon and seeing the sky turn all the golden colors of red and gold was wonderful. Finally, to see the sun sink into the horizon was a glorious sight.
• Passenger33991354778 (10/5): Paradise! - This place is paradise! From the beautiful views, amazing staff and delicious food, you can't help but feel totally spoiled staying at Vista Celestial. I was here on a group yoga retreat. The hotel is very well equipped for yoga and have a beautiful yoga shala on-site in the jungle. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The answer was always, "yes." It was evident that the staff genuinely cared for you and your satisfaction and weren't just being helpful for tips. Each staff member went above and beyond to ensure our group enjoyed our stay. Our meals were excellent. The chefs are so talented! The hotel was able to accommodate all food sensitivities in our group, while making sure everything tasted delicious. Everything was so creative and fresh, and every meal was something different. We stayed in the Toucan Garden Villa. It is modern with beautiful rooms, bathrooms and a full kitchen. There's even a little patio for you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. The views throughout the resort were beautiful, especially the sunsets. If you are looking exclusively for a beach vacation, Vista Celestial may not suit your needs as the nearest beach is about 20 minutes drive away. However, if you are looking for tranquility, exceptional food and service and being surrounded by the lush jungle, I would definitely recommend Vista Celestial. I would go back for another visit in a heartbeat and hope to visit again soon! Thank you, Vista Celestial!
• Passenger387769 (10/5): Go To Your Happy Place - Vista Celestial is 5 diamond worthy, not just stars. I have told all my friends about it. We are bringing our adult and small children back with us next year. It was my 50th birthday and the staff made every day special. The food was super fresh, colorful, delicious and healthy. Every meal was prepared with special attention. I loved meeting the chefs and learning about their passion for food. I loved that every morning we woke up to full glass windows with a 5 million dollar view of the ocean particularly the whale's tail and the tide. Jungle/beach living with, spectacular wildlife, vines and gigantic blue butterflies, birds, and fresh clean air. Every night we would sit down, light our candle and chill out in our room studying, reading books and decompressing. No TV, what a treat and blessing. The hike to the waterfall was challenging bc it was slippery in the rainforest/jungle. We are active and enjoyed the hikes. We enjoyed holding on to the ropes and then feeling the power of the waterfall wo leaving the grounds. We used the gym everyday and there was plenty to do. I had a spa treatment every day as well and every experience was pure BLISS! The shuttle to the beach made it super slick/easy and it was a perfect beach day from 10-1 just in time to come back and eat lunch. On our last day they made a special dinner table w flowers and candles to celebrate my birthday. I felt very loved and seen. It was Like I had the VIP pass to Costa Rica. It was Divine. Had a massage at the spa one evening, which meant that I missed the last meal of the day. They have provided a beautiful environment for our group to practice, relax, and refresh in nature. The abundant food offerings were fresh, local, and diverse. We really felt the spirit of Costa Rica in every meal. The accommodations are exceptional, and the yoga spaces are perfect for a large or small group. Every person on staff was helpful and friendly, walking us through excursions and even planning special events for those in our group who were celebrating engagements and birthdays. I can't recommend Vista Celestial more highly.

• C6591GFjeffreyh (10/5): A Truly Unique and Exciting Place to Stay - This is a true lodging experience from the beginning to the end. They warn you that you need a four wheel drive vehicle. I find that people often exaggerate.....not here. I had four wheel drive, but the tires were normal very average tires. The road to the hotel is very rocky with large potholes. I took it very easy on my little Toyota fourwheeler. It takes about 15 minutes to drive the two miles. Once you get there, be ready for one of the most incredible views you have ever seen. You look out over the ocean and "The Whales Tail" ( a unique rock, sandbar formation) from the terrace/restaurant/bar/infinity pool. There are only five rooms in this hotel. Everything about this place was amazing!!! The chef was incredible. We stayed three nights, but we ate at Vista twice, because you are not going to get anything better than what he is cooking. It is about 100 steps down to your room. Don't forget anything when you go up, because.... This is a very romantic place. One couple had their two year old with them. We have four children and six grandchildren. It is the last place I would take a young (toddler) child. The staff were incredible!!! They could not have been more helpful and friendly. We are SOOOO glad we stayed here.

Jennie, the owner, was incredible to work with from start to finish. She was extremely helpful, made sure all of our needs were met, and was always on top of communication. I truly felt like I had an open line of communication at all times, which made planning and executing the retreat completely seamless. The staff was equally amazing. They knew all of our names, were incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our group felt taken care of. The food and drinks were outstanding and a major highlight of the experience. Vista Celestial also helped organize some unforgettable adventures for our group, including beautiful waterfall hikes and tours as well as an incredible sailboat excursion along the coast. The yoga spaces were phenomenal, with the pool deck yoga class at sunset being a true standout moment of the entire retreat. I would highly recommend Vista Celestial to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway, and especially to retreat leaders searching for a special place to bring their group. • 85heathero (10/5): An experience so great it is tempting to keep it to myself.... - Perched on the top of the mountain, we already expected that the views would be beautiful- but the toucans and monkeys were phenomenal accents to the stunning scenery. The property has limited rooms which made for an incredibly personalized experience with plenty of landscape to explore. Whether it was the ease of the shuttle to town/the beach, the thoughtfully provided chairs/towels for when we headed to the water or the phenomenal drinks awaiting us upon return, it was clear that there was a whole team fully dedicated to making sure we had an exceptional experience. As a family we participated in a cocktail/mocktail making class, a yoga class on the platform nestled in the jungle, and completed the waterfall hike on the property which proved a worthy adventure- but it was sitting in the jacuzzi before happy hour each night observing wildlife that was our favorite routine. We had all sorts of weather during the trip and can attest that this property is set up for enjoyment no matter what the circumstance. We were uncertain about how we would feel with just one restaurant for six days, but the food was so exquisite that even on days where we could grab lunch in town readily, we saved ourselves for the mountain chefs. Fresh, beautifully prepared food that we and our kids all agreed was worth prioritizing. The service was unparalleled and we are so thankful for all the team did to make each meal a special event. Thanks to the full team for truly the most magical vacation.

Dinner included three courses and had different options each night. The room had an amazing view and housekeeping cleaned and provided fresh linens each day, they even found times to come when we were out doing excursions or eating. The ground of the hotel had a few great hiking trails with plenty of birds, animals, and plants to see. The pool at our villa had the ability to be heated which was amazing. Our package included three excursions. We were able to just let staff know which ones we wanted to do and they set up everything including transportation to and from the hotel. It was such an easy process, and all the staff were amazing. We loved our stay and would definitely come back for an anniversary trip! We would very highly recommend this hotel for any trip, especially a honeymoon!

It was peaceful, and we could listen to the sounds of nature from our spacious private terrace. Thanks to the always helpful staff, every wish was fulfilled and all our questions were answered. Communication with the reception team was super easy via WhatsApp. The hike to the hotel’s own waterfall and the excellent food made our stay absolutely perfect. We could have easily spent an entire week here without ever leaving the property. Note: the road up to the hotel is truly only suitable for 4x4 vehicles!

My family walked into this beautiful villa, and we were just blown away, the amenities, the service, the personalization, everything was top notch from the start. We were immediately greeted by name and given refreshing and delicious drinks upon arrival. Then one of their concierge team members takes our keys, drives our car down to the villa and unpacks everything from our car. The villa was gorgeous. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages six and eight and the Villa was the perfect amount of space for us. The food is delicious, by our 2nd day there they knew exactly what I wanted for breakfast and how I wanted my coffee they really do take the time to get to know you here so that they can make this experience as personalized as possible. Outside of the gorgeous views of the ocean, all of the staff were so welcoming and warm. I don’t like going places twice, but I told my husband, we will be coming back to Vista celestial. Book immediately as they are always full and we got lucky to even get our vacay booked here. We visited 5 locations in Costa Rica and this was one of our favorites.

The food alone is reason to come — aside from Europe, it was easily the cleanest, most gourmet cuisine I’ve had in all my travels. As a pescatarian, the Costa Rican fish and vegetables wrapped in a banana leaf was unlike anything I’ve seen on a menu elsewhere. Breakfasts were always gourmet, dinners were worth every penny, and even the croquets, purées, and desserts were fresh, vibrant, and delicious. Unlike so much food back home, I never once left the table with a stomach ache — only pure satisfaction. The drink menu was also reasonably priced, which felt generous rather than gouging. The staff — José, Carlos, and Shirley — cared for us with professionalism and warmth that was unforgettable. Their attention to detail at every turn showed how well-run and thoughtful this place is. Our villa was immaculate with panoramic views. Sunsets were spectacular and unobstructed, while the natural music of howler monkeys and cicadas became our evening soundtrack. The in-villa massage was exceptional — professional, restorative, and another example of the outstanding quality here. This was not just a hotel stay, but a true experience. I will absolutely be back.

• Lucky13Queen (10/5): Outstanding resort, staff & food! - I have stayed at or visited quite a few of the luxury resorts in the area but none compare to vista celestial in the quality of the details, from the villas to the outstanding staff on hand here who are not only incredibly attentive to your needs but also actually care if you are happy or not. The chefs / food experience is also unparalleled not only in Costa Rica, but in my opinion is even on par with some of the top restaurants I've dined at in New York City, except you get servers who are actuallly there for you at a moments notice. I'd like to particularly shout out Jose as going above & beyond 5 star hospitality & also Carlos who is an excellent mixologist. The views here are spectacular of course but the set up & comfort of the villas have been upgraded from my previous visits so that every little detail one could think of, such as extension of the back decks, & making the rooms cozier, has been improved. I'd also say if you are looking for a place for a romantic getaway, this is it, but also is a great spot for a family vacation. Thanks to the whole staff at VC including the night guard ! for making this such a spectacular week for me & my group. 🙏

We took a yoga class in peaceful surroundings and also had a whale watching experience included in our stay and saw many whales. Staff learned us and got to know us quickly. The hospitality was one of the best I've seen. Staff learned us as couple and treated us like friends rather than patrons. 2. The rooms look as advertised. 3. Clean 4. Amazing location!! 5. The food was one of the best parts. It's amazing and caters to those who have certain needs. 6. Private and secluded. 7. Guarded at night from outside people. 8. The Owner found us and introduced himself to us. 9. We walked away looking for more time to spend there.
• Kcecille (10/5): No Monkeying Around - Just like the name implies, Vista (pleasing views) Celestial (in the sky) is a luxury resort perched high in the sky in the heart of the Uvita jungle. With a birds-eye view and amazing soundscapes, my fiancé and I celebrated my 40th birthday for the first time ever in Costa Rica. Serene, relaxing, comfortable, exhilarating, and enchanting are just some of the words that come to mind as we experienced warm mornings and summer rain in the afternoon. From the unique villa designs to housekeeping to concierge and staff, Vista Celestial has gone above and beyond in making their guests feel at home. They literally put the “hospital” in the word hospitality as we were taken care of and catered to from the time we arrived until checkout. Everyone was personable, responsive, professional, and helpful. They even planned and decorated our room with birthday decor and prepared a private dinner on our patio upon our return back from an excursion to Drake Bay. The food was spectacular. My favorite was the avocado toast at breakfast and the shrimp and white fish ceviche for lunch. We definitely will make this our Costa Rican home again during our next visit to this beautiful country.

• jackelynh2015 (10/5): 10000000/10 — no notes! Literal perfection! - We had an absolutely incredible time at Vista Celestial and I’m already counting the days til we can return. The rooms are BREATHTAKING. I have never stayed anywhere like it and waking up to the whale’s tail each morning was something I’ll remember forever. We also experienced the most incredible hospitality from entire team, special shout out to Pablo, José, and Carlos. We stayed here with our 1 year old daughter and they treated us like their family. The meals were EXCELLENT. Oh! And the waterfall hike! There is a private waterfall hike that is SO cool, it’s a hidden gem! We also spent a few nights in the garden villa and I highly recommend that as well. You really can’t go wrong with this place. Book it book it book it! ❤️
• hollyrF9066VB (10/5): An Oasis in the Jungle - If comfort and relaxation is what you're looking for, Vista Celestial delivers! My daughters, sister and I stayed in the Whale Tail House and it was the perfect set up for staying together yet having our own separate spaces, not to mention it is the best view on the property. The individualized service from the cleaning crew to the servers stood out to us. Jose, one of our servers, was so thoughtful and considerate. Pedro and Carlos were equally as intentional in making us drinks and accommodating our needs. The shuttle service from the airport was just as good. Emilio drove my daughters and I at 2am in the morning and took such good care of us. If you're looking to adventure, I really enjoyed the Morete ATV tour. It was more than riding ATV's, it was a full immersive experience in the culture, coffee and region. Highly recommend. I can't say enough good things about our time here. I can't wait to go back!
• 425moiran (10/5): Do not skip this! - This was by far the best trip my husband and I have EVER been on. That is not an exaggeration. The staff, the location, the food, everything was above and beyond our expectations. We had the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure for our honeymoon. We will be back!
• 1h3 (10/5): Perfect introduction to Costa Rica - We had a perfect time at Vista Celestial. Since there so many „Adults only“ resorts in the area, we always felt welcomed and appreciated as a family. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The view from the villas is simply stunning. The bumpy road to the resort is more than worth for the view and the setting of the resort in the middle of the rainforest. In the morning you hear the houling monkeys, later you‘ll see butterflies of all kind followed by a superb breakfast. The villas are all spacious with a beautiful terrace, clean and very well maintained. Gym and Spa is shared with a partner resort just a little walk away. Villa Celestial offers also various activities around the area and the staff is always helpful with recommendation in the area of Uvita.
