- Rahul (9/5): Awesome - The location was exquisite, and the host provided a warm and welcoming experience. The cottages are charming, making them an ideal weekend retreat. There was some dust in the corners of the bedroom. While not a significant issue, it was noticeable and required our attention for cleaning.

Die Aussicht auf den See ist traumhaft und man kann auch mit einem Kanu rausfahren.

From start to finish she made our stay there feel like a home from home; our little haven of solace. A spacious, clean and tidy cabin, we couldn’t really ask for more. We were in the area for the bancroft gemboree and to go rockhounding. There are many collecting sites nearby as well as geo- caching and other outdoor activities. The owners are attentive to guests needs and are very friendly.

- R (8/5): Very good - The lake is beautiful, we had a picture perfect view from our front window and deck. Our three hosts were very welcoming, nice, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We were able to park our car in front of our accommodations, which was very convenient. When we booked through booking.com, the website indicated that the earliest (no extra fee) check-in was 5:00 p.m., so that it what I selected. When I called Silver Springs before driving there, Dana, who answered the phone, kindly offered that our accommodations would be ready at 3:00 p.m. and that we could check in then at no additional charge instead of 5:00p.m. This was very much appreciated. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our time there.

The host, Dana was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The fact they have boats and canoes for hire makes it even better. Nothing really. All the property information is available so there were no surprises.

There were not enough blanket or paper towels were in the Kitchan. The tools we too small and bass were uncomfortable. The charges were too high comparing to that nothing meet the expectations. I would not recommend this

A very nice queen needs to be arranged in this room for there to be comfort for 2 people staying in this cottage.

She provided us with things that we needed as we did not have them with us on our motorcycle trip. We shared a few laughs with each other. The room was small but cozy. Everything is there if you drive and take your own food and bedding. The price is reasonable for cottages in the area. I did not know about the extra charge for bed linens and towels when I initially booked through the site. It was an extra $70 for two sets for the size hike beds. This makes sense as most people would bring their own along with food as these are cottages. We were just trying to find a place to stay in the Bancroft area. Most motels were already full and pricier. It is a very quiet location. We were concerned about no air conditioning but with the windows open and fan running thus was not a problem. There is really no TV and WiFi is spotty because you are truly out in the boonies! You actually have to talk which worked out nicely!

Bring you own linen. No cable. Pirated DVDs provided?!? No Wifi. When we phoned and asked we were told 'yes we have wifi but we don't get it'. Paid extra $35/night to bring my daughter for a pull out couch, with no linen, whose springs kept popping off. Kitchen but no stove. Electrical outlet OVER the sink? had to be careful with toaster. Toaster sets off smoke detector EVERY time. One has to question if that is even to Fire Code. Had travel issues. Called to say I would be late but I did not arrive until after 9 p.m. to which I was told I was lucky I was even accepted at that late hour?? I didn't know it was such a Mom/Pop operation that I would be subjected to such an abundance of rules when I was booking on Booking.com. I kept being told to read my confirmation email for all of these rules?? After a long day of travel I had to be scolded for my arrival time despite already having paid for the room? Picture on the wall had mold around the matting. Clock on the wall did not work. (Battery?). Clock radio by bedside table was unplugged. Toilet was found unflushed upon arrival with urine in the bowl. Trouble sleeping because all I heard was the next cabin snoring all night. They are attached on the other side of the wall. Brutal.

We had aunts in our cottage due to the cleanliness as well as dirty dishes. Tv didn’t work and no wifi even thou advertised. Playground was old, rusted, and not maintained - Slides were broken. As a parent myself I would never allow my child to play on that facility. We paid close to $1000 to stay here which did not include the canoes, sauna, firewood. To sum it al up we were very unhappy with our stay and service and would not go back.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Silver Springs Aug 2019 - Elephant Lake and the view from the resort grounds is beautiful. Free wifi mentionned in the listing. Not so. Management is friendly but a bit stiff. They were helpful in changing our cottage to a bigger one. Forgot to return my deposit on our departure. I made great effort to leave the cottage in good condition. All the dishes were cleaned and put away. I took care of the trash. Nevertheless, $20 was deducted from the deposit because we didn't vacuum. A bit harsh. We had a good stay. Boating was awesome. Fishing was OK. Had better luck with largemouth in another lake nearby.

- Nancy (10/5): Great family holiday - Dana was an excellent host. There were a lot of stairs to the beach but it gave you a good work out. Beach area was great and well kept. Cottage was a bit on the older side but well stocked and comfortable.

- Robyn (8/5): - Good size room with a frige & kitchenette. Good size deck with a picnic table & bbq. Beautiful view of the lake. Nice beach but you have to cross the road and go down steep stairs to get to it. Very friendly approachable owners! Overall a wonderful stay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were with a party of 5 and booked a 2 bedroom appartment at Silver Springs Cottage. We were very excited to go there, and our stay was ok, but the rooms were very small and we did not have much space to walk around. The cleanliness of the rooms could have been a little better aswell.
- BKymlicka (10/5): A Surprise Gem! - When my husband and I spontaneously decided to book a cabin at the Silver Springs Cottage Resort we had no idea what to expect. When we arrived we were greeted by George and Dana - two of the friendliest and most helpful resort owners you could imagine. Our cabin was spotless and our bed remarkably comfortable. Our dog was welcomed as warmly as we were and there were no complaints when we took him to the little beach/dock area for a swim. We were equipped with a fishing boat and spent 4 hours on the lake which is both beautiful and great for fishing. We were so pleasantly surprised that we are already planning to go back.
