• Noya (10/5): Perfect for my trip as a solo female traveler! - I liked that it was not a party hostel. The atmosphere was very calm and all the guests were considerate of one another. The WiFi range could be improved. Right now it is only useable in shared spaces, but sometimes you want to do something more privately.
• Jana (9/5): Very chilled, cozy hostel ! - Very chilled vibe, very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. There are a few kitchen options, which were all very clean and offered everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay there a lot! :) Aircon didn’t have a remote control, so you can only turn it on or off . It also costs an additional 1$ per 6 hours

• Janet (9/5): Quiet place to stay. Not a party hostel. - Friendly staff. It was QUIET. Not a party place. It attracted people who want quiet. They are into recycling and there's a feeling of care in the place. The pool is small but relaxing. Also nice to have single bed instead of bunk. Fan didn't work. No lockers.

The shared kitchen was a good “included” on the reservation. The room sometimes got a little too hot, with the fan not being able to do the whole work.

• Baris (5/5): Quiet hostel in garden, bad wifi and cool water - It is a quiet hostel consisting of two old houses in a lovely garden away from the party hostels. The staff was very friendly. The water in the showers was only warm-ish, all 3 days of my stay. I can imagine it wouldn’t be pleasant in a colder day. Also the wifi has no or only poor reception in some parts of the hostel.

• Natália (10/5): Nice stay in Cairns - Great location, close to Cairns Central as well as the bus and train stations. The facilities are comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I ended up extending my stay (twice), which says it all :)

• Evelyn (10/5): Lovely - I had a really lovely stay at this hostel and honestly wish I could have stayed longer. Even though I was only there for one night, the atmosphere was incredibly cozy and welcoming. The place is beautifully decorated with pictures and flowers, and there are plenty of comfortable seating areas and board games, which makes it feel very homely. Everything was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I really appreciated that there are only single beds instead of bunk beds. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

• Marion (8/5): - The garden area is nice. The room was clean and had a cupboard. Many showers and kitchens. Unfortunately some people left bathroom dirty but this is not the Fault of the owner as I perceived they cleaned everything nicely. The room i was in was very dark and could Hardly open the window. Given the climate i would have appreciated more fresh air. The door of the room was to the hallway and they are very thin. Everyone was quiet after 10pm so was ok, but if you want to sleep early because of an early tour next day might be a bit noisy. 20min walk to city.

• IOANNA KYRIAKI (8/5): - Very quiet, nice single beds instead of bunks, clean bathrooms and kitchen, nice pool. Nice staff and a very cute dog. Two out of the four nights I stayed there the water in the shower was cold, the other two lukewarm. I saw some of the biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen hanging around at the balcony but it’s a tropical destination so I don’t think it’s a cleanliness issue, the hostel was thoroughly cleaned throughout my stay.
• Emine (9/5): Relaxed vibe and friendly hostel, great value for money - Really nice atmosphere in the hostel. Tim and Paul were really friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The room was right next to the kitchen and bathrooms, so convenient and not loud at all. The bed was super comfortable and we were able to walk into the main city easily. Loved the air fryer in the kitchen, so quick and easy to use, perfect for a hostel. Hot water seemed a bit temperamental until we learned the trick of lowering the shower head.

• Thea (8/5): A home away from home! - A real home away from home! So many lovely little details around the property, rooms were super cosy and staff were friendly and accommodating. Shower rooms were quite outdated but always kept very clean!

• Elowen (9/5): - Really lovely manager and owners, it’s a smaller hostel that has a nice chill vibe. It’s quiet at night which I loved, but I still met people there. Rooms were good and had comfy beds. Air con in the rooms was coin operated, but the owner left a stack of coins to use and the room was always cool, just meant you wouldn’t be able to leave the aircon on all day (which isn’t necessary) unless you used some of your own coins. I liked that there were plenty of different spots to chill around the hostel. The washing up liquid. I understand they want to be eco but there are much better eco washing up liquids.

• Ida (10/5): Just amazing can only recommend! - Omg this place just feels like home! I always choose this place whenever I’m in cairns. It’s so relaxed and cozy! And Tim that works there is just the sweetest man who really looks after everyone! Also the bedsheets is so cute, and there is not bunk beds but single beds. It’s just the best place It’s a bit faar from the citycentre, but it’s a 2 min walk to the shopping center and the busses and train!

• Peny (6/5): Pretty outdoors setting with basic amenities - Had a nice setting within trees and close to the CBD. Easy check in and check out process. Facilities were difficult to use, the shower was either burning hot or drips of cold water. Unfortunately the rooms are not sound proof and it was hard to sleep next to the loud shower and kitchen being used.

• Lorinda (7/5): Great place for a genuine Backpacker who knows what travelling and community are about - The man who Manages this place is awesome very welcoming. Definitely has more of the genuine original backpacker vibe to the place which so many Hostels have lost that essence and I feel like the Manager is the reason this place still has that which is becoming hard to find. It's very old house that does need a bit of modernising for comfort. I felt the price was a bit high considering what you can get across the rd for a similar price.
• Bianca (7/5): Einfacher aber gemütlicher Aufenthalt - Die Inhaber des Hauses waren super nett. Die Zimmer und die sanitären Einrichtungen waren sauber. Man muss für die Nutzung der Klimaanlage 1 AUD einwerfen, wodurch diese 6h läuft. Anfangs bekommt man 3 AUD zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Lage ist relativ zentral. Wenn man nach Kuranda mit dem Scenic Railway fahren möchte, erreicht man diesen in 5 Gehminuten. Ebenfalls erreicht man in dieser Zeit die Mall, in der sich unter anderem Supermärkte befinden. In die Innenstadt braucht man zu Fuß 20 Minuten. Es steht und fällt alles mit den anderen Gästen. In unserem Fall musste man Geschirr nochmals reinigen. Dafür kann allerdings die Unterkunft nichts.

Has a pool, washing machines, plenty of bathrooms and a kitchen with a job, microwave, plates etc. There’s lots of lovely seating areas to sit and have a beer and overall just a really nice vibe. Met one of the owners as well on our way out and he was very friendly. Would certainly recommend this hostel to anyone! Great stay and room/bed was very comfy!

• Jill (7/5): Warm, maar fijn verblijf - Heel gezellig, vriendelijke mensen, vlotte communicatie, fijne sfeer in het hostel -Voor de airco moesten we per 3 uur een muntje insteken, je krijgt 3 muntjes/dag, maar aangezien de temperatuur niet onder de 30 graden zakte, wel meer onderbroken nachten door bv het lawaai van de airco die afsloeg en de warmte die opnieuw doorbreekt id kamer + het opstaan voor een nieuw muntje in te steken (systeem ook niet altijd even evident in een gedeelde kamer vond ik)
