- rjmillerathome (10/5): Lovely base in Sirince - We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Sirince leg of a tour of Turkey. Whilst the hotel is relatively basic, it is full of local charm in a beautiful setting. The best bit of the Gullu is the personalised breakfast you are provided with each morning - a large mix of local mezze that was a unique experience & truly delicious, something I will always remember from this trip. We also had dinner here one night, which was also very nice. The service we experienced from all the staff there was also really friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying in Sirince.
- keithw533 (10/5): Real Gem - Our 4th visit to Sirince which we love, but first time we have stayed. Picked a winner! 100m from the hustle and bustle of the village, yet serene. Excellent room, service and value. Above excellent charm, ambience, terrace views, breakfast and what we would call our own private “sitooterie”. Only minor gripe was wine prices, which we avoided. Would thoroughly reccomend.

- Anders (8/5): Nice an quit setting - Friendly staff and lovely and quiet setting in this very touristic village. Breakfast is great but the dinner did not live up to our expectations. And there was no view overlooking vineyards. Nevertheless we can recommend staying here for a night or two.

- traveller1968 (6/5): Charming but a lot of room for improvement. - The hotel is a tranquil oasis on the edge of the village with a lot of character and charm. The views are beautiful, there are several lovely gardens and patios and there are lots of nice spots to chill out both indoor and outdoor. The village itself is busy with tour groups during the day and is a bit of a circus but is quiet in the early morning and evening. The room fixtures have seen better days and some things could do with being replaced eg lamp shades and blinds which are old and stained and peeling paint that could do with refreshing. We had a few issues - the WiFi connection was intermittent and slow most of the time and the electricity in our room went off at one point. Service was a bit haphazard in general with a few communication difficulties. We also had a maintenance issue which took two days to fix. Housekeeping was not up to scratch. In our bathroom there was black dust on a ledge and marks on the tiles where it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Teabags, biscuits and nuts were not replenished after the first day. No coffee was provided. Water was provided in glass bottles but no glasses to drink out of. We have found the lack of glasses common in the hotels we stayed at in Turkey but it seems strange to us. The temperatures were a bit chilly during our stay in late April and it rained a lot but the room was not very warm as there was no heating on. The fireplaces in the public areas were also not in use which was a pity. Our bathtub was a lifesaver to warm up. Breakfast was served at our table rather than a buffet. There was a nice selection of the usual items and it was good quality and homemade. The only negative was the eggs which were extremely oily. Unusually orange juice was not included and you had to pay extra. We stayed for three days and there was no variation in the breakfast spread whatsoever. They served identical items each day so by the last day we didn’t really want to eat anything. Dinner in the restaurant was not that great. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere but the food was a bit disappointing. The cheapest wine was quite steep at €57. We only ate there once as we were tired on arrival but as it was disappointing we ate dinner in the village on the other nights. Overall, it was a mixed bag. Lovely surroundings and views. Nice atmosphere. But service and facilities leave room for improvement.

Väldigt mysigt och trevligt hotell rent generellt. Jag tyckte sängen var perfekt, maken tyckte den var lite för hård. Dock är vi alla otroligt nöjda och kommer garanterat tillbaka!

Otel Sirince merkezde ve çok şirin bir butik otel. Odalar ve cevre duzenlemesi süper. Kış olmasına rağmen çok memnun kaldık. Otel yetkililerine, Mustafa Bey e tesekkur ederim...

Şirince genel olarak hayal kırıklığı olsada otelin ambiyansı ve ortamı bunu telafi etti. Gideceklere tavsiye dışarıda yemek yemeyin otelde yemek yemeği tercih edin. Otelin yemekleri gayet güzel ve lezzetliydi. Biz çok memnun kaldık gönül rahatlığıyla tercih edebilirsiniz. Ayrıca kahvaltı çok çok iyiydi.
- TURABI (10/5): Temizlik Huzur Görsellik ve Lezzet hepsi bir arada - Otele vardığımızda karşılama çok iyiydi. Rezervasyonda bizden kaynaklı bir hata olmasına rağmen hemen soruna çözüm üretildi. Odalar istenen genişlikte ve tertemizdi. Banyo kısmı da aynı şekilde çok temizdi. Odanın manzarası da bir o kadar iyiydi. Fotoğraflardaki güzel bir bahçe ve dinlenme alanı vardı ancak yağmur sebebi ile o keyfi çıkaramadık. Kahvaltısı çok çok iyiydi. Daha önce duymuştum ama kendim deneyimleyince aynı notu verdim. Kahvaltıda tükettiğimiz her şey taze ve lezzetliydi. Ayrıca çalışanların tamamı güler yüzlü ve ilgili insanlar. Bir daha ki sefere Şirince'de konaklayacak olursam kesinlikle ilk tercihim olacaktır.

- derekholley (8/5): Great choice if visiting Ephesus. Or if not. - Adding a stay in Sirince when visiting Ephesus is a good idea. The town has a touristy element to it but it's also a very pretty hillside town to walk around, with some really lovely views. And staying at this hotel (close to the busy main town area but nevertheless in a tranquil and quiet spot) is also a good idea! I had a charming room in the house, the other side of the olive garden, with a balcony and a great view of the rolling hills and mountainside (though don't expect luxury spec, e.g. shower runs cold until warms up and temperature setting then tricky. no tv, etc, but all part of the charm). Excellent breakfasts. Local fresh produce, including olives and jams etc. One time I wanted to try dinner but no other guests around and didn't want to have dinner in an empty restaurant. I would imagine the main stone house in the higher section would be nice to stay at - the large terrace and lovely outside seating area with great views looked really great - but again no-one around at the time I was there, so lacking a little atmosphere (was late October so maybe out of season - would imagine great in the spring and summer when no doubt drinks and meals served outside).
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional - Sirince is a bustling and sometimes loud place. This hotel is right at the edge of the center such that from the moment you enter the gate, you're greeted with peace and quiet. The upper terrace is an amazing place to relax with a great view. The staff are kind and attentive. Traditional Turkish breakfast is served instead of buffet, and is a great spread! There is no reserved parking but we had no issue parking at the parking lot across the street for 100 TL per day. Wifi was spotty in areas
- LadyWulf79 (10/5): Pleasant B&B located near Ephesus - I wish we had at least one more night to spend here. Gullu Konaklari is very charming surrounded by a lovely garden. The porter lugged my 25kg suitcase all the way up some stairs to our room (next time I'm bringing a smaller suitcase!) and they upgraded us to a bigger room. The staff in general was very friendly. The room was clean and overlooked the garden. The food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast. And there was the cutest little cat family in the garden! GK is close to all the stalls and restaurants but was quiet at night. Highly recommend if you're in the area or need a place to stay before/after seeing Ephesus.

The view from the terrace is stunning. Breakfast was the best we had in Turkiye, such great variety and delicious. The location was perfect, close to everything in Sirince and could walk anywhere. The staff were also incredible and very friendly. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony with a lovely view. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. Absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway! There wasn't anything we didn't like!

- Anastasia (4/5): It’s not worth it’s money - Location is ok , but there is no free parking , you will need to pay for parking near and bring your luggages yourself . Breakfast was good , nature s lovely So the first room we were given was dirty , also with the spider net in it . When I said at first that it’s impossible for us to stay in this room , we heard that “here is nature” , I agree but I’m not sleeping in the garden though , condition of the room was also bad , after a bit fight hopefully they changed the room , second option was ok .For lunch you don’t have any option in the hotel , restaurant is closed . For the breakfast you need also to tell the time when you want to eat it , maybe I want to eat my breakfast without timing though . When we asked for WIFI , the answer was that it’s written in your room . If you won’t like to work with people , do not work with people and don’t be in hospitality business . It doesn’t have any connection with luxury hotel

- jxx9595 (4/5): Did not like this place at all - Many would consider this old style hotel (four rooms in an old house) to be charming. My wife did. I did not like it at all. First, the plugs. The bedroom had two plugs in corners of the room in the baseboards. Not so charming. There were more usable plugs in the bathroom, but I had to clear a small shelf in the bathroom to put a laptop near a plug. A ten dollar power strip would have solved the plug problem here. Second, we got real room keys, but only one set so my wife and I could not easily go in different direction. The key fob had two similar keys (one for the room and probably one for the never locked front door to the house). The keys had no markings to distinguish them. So our neighbors came home late and fiddled noisily with the keys for several minutes. Then there was the noise. The "charming" bedroom had no carpet so we could hear every footstep of our upstairs neighbor. Fourth, it took about three minutes for hot water to appear once you turned on the tap or shower. Maybe longer, actually. Fifth, wifi security was several years out of date, and the wifi only worked some of the time. There was a single luggage rack, and the only place to put it was in front of the door that you had to open to reach the refrigerator. Breakfast wasn't served until 8:30. Finally, there are stone stairs you have to climb to get to your room. Not all of the outdoor passages had lights at night. And weirdly, on one of the steps, there was a two inch diameter root running across the step. This is a lawsuit just waiting the happen. Not everything was awful. There was a separate tub and shower. The breakfast was good. And weirdly, there was nine (!) bottles of toiletries in the bathroom. I didn't get the point of that.
- Ufuk (9/5): Nide hotel - Breakfast was standard one. The staff was very helpfull. Building and the room and the view was great. Bathtub faucet needs repair and hot water and was not sufficient and water pressure was not stable especially in the evening. The village is very crowded during national holidays It took 2 hours by car to pass through the last 2 km while coming to the hotel.
- Kim (4/5): - This hotel showed lots of promise when we arrived at the front desk to check in. Great location in the small town of Şirince within walking distance of just about everything. Quiet room and nice gardens surrounding the property. There was a rooftop terrace with very comfortable patio furniture and a nice view of the surrounding valley. The included buffet breakfast was pretty basic, but adequate. We liked the two cats hanging around the dining room. What I didn't like was the room (the Rosa Gallacia) one of the Stone Rooms, which was cave-like with one relatively small window. Poor wi-fi, too. But, the real downer was the sewer gas leaking into room and the effort to cover it up with "essential oils" and aromatherapy sticks. The bathroom had only one working light bulb. Apparently, the room at one time had a ceiling fan, but that had been removed, but the hub had not. I did not see the any of the Mansion or Gulistan rooms, so I cannot comment on them. I would not, however, stay again in the Stone rooms.

On the plus side, the village was still quite calm when we were there. One can imagine it being full of tourists. In this case Gullu Konaklari seems well located not being right in the middle of things and with a parking lot right next to the property.

The property was easy to find, superbly aesthetic, the staff was welcoming and kind, their Turkish Breakfast was to die for, great views from the property, perfect to sit back and relax in the village of Sirence.

- kathryn (10/5): - A wonderful quiet historic retreat in the beautiful picture-postcard town of Sirince, but close enough to be home base for Ephesus! We stayed in the Manor house, upstairs overlooking the gardens and orchards in the valley below. The most luxurious breakfast set up just for two each day. We dined one night and ate a magnificent dinner made to order just for the two of s, by candlelight and served b the manger himself. The dining room/bar is its own building with a great sitting room, a reading/ indoor sitting room is a remarkable glass house and the multi-layered gardens with seating areas throughout are fabulous. So many different fragrant roses! A little complex all to itself, yet just our the gate the lovely town of Sirince is fully walkable (albeit steep!). One of the few places I’ve ever stayed I’d like to go back to, just to enjoy the space again.
- Conner (10/5): Lovely; we highly recommend the hotel for a place to stay before visiting Ephasus. - It was a beautiful campus set in a small mountain village, a great respite after five days in Istanbul. Our room overlooked a garden that in turn overlooked the village and mountains in the distance. The hotel kindly made arrangements for a very knowledgeable and articulate guide to Ephasus and they helped us with airport shuttles. When we checked in, we were told how wonderful the farm to table dinners were. Then, the first two of three nights during our stay, dinner wasn’t available.
- Jo (5/5): Nice place, nice people until something goes dangerously wrong. - If you wish to spoil yourself in Sirince then this is the place We booked the Chalet, only to find in the small print after reserving the place that it was over 2 kms away. So we decided: let’s enjoy it nonetheless less. Please keep in mind that I have never complained about the hotels I stay at and we are intrepid inland desert Australian travellers. We discovered the road to the Chalet was a narrow dirt track, steep and extremely eroded and their van, and our car could not make the last 150 metres. So we throw our luggage over our shoulders and walk up the hill to the Chalet only to be attacked by what we think were giant Asian Wasps. The pain is extraordinary and didn’t relent for over 8 hours despite the ice. Apparently the hotel are aware of wasp infestations at the chalet! They would have left us there with only a little ice from the freezer and the wasp infestation to deal with every time we came and left if we hadn’t said we can’t stay there. The comments from them lacked empathy, eg: “this is very bad for Gulu Konaklari”. We were promptly left in the outside lounge at the main hotel without offers of water or ice. We had to ask. We were eventually given a room at the hotel which was cheaper than the chalet. We liked the room. But now we require reimbursement for the difference in price. There were no offers whilst there but in good faith we paid for all our food and wines and let them know how thankful we were for organising us anther room. They have not responded to Booking.com nor me. At this point it seems they have no intention of reimbursing the difference of approximately $400Aud. So be aware of the Chalet location, the wasps and that Gulu Konaklari do not reimburse for their own lack of information and due care.
- Ezgi (9/5): Superb - It is a very nice and special spot. The nature is spectacular. The staff is extremely helpful. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good. They made us special breakfast both mornings. They helped us with our luggage as well. Since it is an older structure, our room had no noise isolation. There were barking dogs and the laud prayer early mornings. I was able to sleep through the night, but the noise kept my husband up both nights we spent there.
- John (10/5): Private and Relaxing Hotel to escape the crowds for a bit. - The grounds were lovely and quiet. The room was spacious and comfortable overlooking the valley. The balcony was inviting and I wish I had more time to spend on it. The private breakfast was superb and cozy. I would definitely rebook this hotel. Everything was perfect.

- Hardika (9/5): Quaint; farmhouse style bed and breakfast with Mountain Views - Very quaint - farmhouse feel. lots of flora/fauna and cats all around:) Opted for the Deluxe Double Room and the balcony view of the mountains was really nice to wake up to Comfy beds made for a good nights rest The staff were super helpful with carrying luggage up and down stairs etc. Had dinner at the onsite restaurant and the front desk called the chef to curate vegetarian food for us - which was very good. and Breakfast was very good with local jams etc. The front desk took us to our room and I realized that we had paid for the higher level double deluxe room and had to show them the booking.com confirmation. They had to go back to reception to check and then move us as the room was in a different building and we had to move up and down stairs etc. to get to the right room. Honest mistake probably - and quickly rectified I should add. Lighting - low lighting around the room made it difficult to find things post sundown

Hotel is family friendly and very romantic. Staff has always been kind. Rooms have always been clean. There is a public car park 1 minute away from the hotel and it is 1 minute walking distance to Sirince center.
