Guest Reviews
- Michael (8/5): No Breakfast - Our stay was great , perfect location and room was clean and cozy our only complaint was no breakfast available and it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel over others
- Wade (4/5): - this is not a motel it is a halfway house. desk clerk was stoned. Still waiting for a Refund for the night we did not stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Manager was super friendly and sweet, property a bit run down, though our room was okay. The ligjt from outside was very bright, shown in tje window that was toward the back of building, could hear people out back talking and inside window pane on window that faced side street all busted.
- Nelda (8/5): - Classic 1950’s Art Deco architecture. Needs some TLC, but clean rooms and helpful staff at a great price.
- Katherine (8/5): Quaint hotel for the price - The staff was very friendly and sweet! The only complaint was the slight smell from the older carpet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is great for the cost. We spent most of our time at Teddy Roosevelt national park. Nice continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. Nice craft beer place across the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good price. Clean. Basic accommodations.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Terrible place. Staff was super nice but it was loud with constant in and out traffic all night in the hallway.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was amazing at check in process. Tv was not hooked up or working. No garbage can in room. Dog kept barking in the middle of the night keeping us awake!
- Lloyd (8/5): Park Close to Your Door - Excellent Nearby Dining - For someone in dogs it is as good as it can get for parking with a first floor room.
Rooms are fine. It shows some wear but works fine.
Oasis Grills down the street is excellent. More than expected in a community the size of Dickinson.
Visit the dinosaur museum.
- Erhard (8/5): - Hotel with good value for money for the budget conscious traveler.
- duane (10/5): Nice hotel - Good
- Kristine (4/5): - They lost my reservation
- Sara (6/5): Dive -
No one at the front desk to check in. Had to call then wete told they were full even though we had a reservation. Manager put us in a room they were "fixing up" with no TV microwave or table and chairs. Not at all how it was described. Definitely would never recommend it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property needs care (painting). We were very concerned when we arrived becaue the paint on the outside door was flaking off and it looked like a sad neglected hotel. The interior of the rooms are nicer; although the bathroom needs some painting also. We liked that it was a little quirky, and harkens back to the 1960' with some wonderful pictures in a room near the back. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is right on the street so there is some noise. There is a brewery across the street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Amenities consisted of soap and a very light breakfast. Didn’t see any staff in the morning and we didn’t leave until 9:30. Place looked clean.
- William (6/5): - Bagels an cold coffee doesnt count as breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - easy to find happy people , the ed said breakfast included there wasn,t any .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Local television stations were blacked out. No CBS, NBC, or ABC.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Yes, for the most part, pretty clean. The first room we checked into was appalling - they had not gotten around to making the bed, which was understandable as we were early. But we glimpsed a mattress full of urine stains!! The box spring underneath was ripped & worn & unappealing. Nasty stains of some sort on the carpets, however, it's possible these had been shampooed but just didn't come clean. They did move us to another room, but that one had stains all over the top of the bedspread. The rest of the room appeared nice & clean but it's hard to get past what we had already seen. They were very economical but we got what we paid for.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was pleased with the ease of checking in. It was a convienent location to find but not too much for places to find food later in evening. Overall We are pleased.
- Sylvain (8/5): Different but recommended. - Very nice large room, recently updated. Hallways are due. 2 floors, no elevators. A mix of daily rentals and longer term lodging. Lots of common area. Continental breakfast. Nice staff. Parking is for single cars, no trailers.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A place to sleep. Coffee sucked. Check in was a joke.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bed was not at all comfortable. We tossed and turned all night.
- Nancy (4/5): Unhappy visitor - Rooms were very run down. Carpets were stained. I asked for a different room as the one assigned to us had mold in the bathroom. Air conditioner/heating unit had an electrical box that could easily been a problem had we had small children. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a cold meal help yourself. Coffee was gone and there were no cups available. I thought the room was expensive.
- michelle (2/5): - looked like a dorm inside, concrete walls. not much for breakfast at all. ask for milk and she did not have any.
- Beth (4/5): - Quite dirty and beat up; dirty carpet, outside windows had peeling paint; needed to be painted in our room
- Verified traveler (6/5): An older hotel but comfy. - The room smelled musty when coming in.. but after the air conditioning was on.. it was OK.. The other room booked by friends found the room musty at all times. It is an older hotel with old carpet, windows not painted, etc. but the rooms quite big with microwave, and small fridge, very comfy bed and clean. Front desk reception was good.
- Ken (6/5): Need some help to make this a good hotel. - Tv was hard to figure out how to use it. Tub shower was difficult to use. Breakfast was toast, day old donuts, oranges and coffee was out. The people running were nice but they didn't know wifi password and other things.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hi-Ho it's Off to Dickinson We Go! - I thought it was just fine. Relatively inexpensive, downtown, close to Uncle Ron's Spur Bar, and not too far from the Brick Grill, and Blue 42. A much more authentic North Dakota experience than staying by the freeway.
- ROBERT (8/5): Nice hotel - Room was dated, but very roomy. 2 sinks, extra towels/pillows, fridge, microwave, table plus desk area. Wonderful fresh, homey (real plates & silverware) breakfast buffet with ample choices. Only restaurant nearby was 1 fast food outlet & no markets within walking distance.
- Victoria (10/5): - This hotel is a great deal. I had a wonderful experience!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great staff, old motel - Stayed for two nights. I'd give this motel a rating of 2.5 if I could. Let me start with the hotel staff because they were great - very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was okay - an assortment of breads, canned fruit, cereal, cottage cheese, hard-boiled eggs, juices, coffee, and teas (no biscuits and gravy as advertised). The hotel is located on a main street convenient to everything, but is also noisy (plenty of motorcycles and trucks on the road) and within a block of the train tracks (trains at all hours of the night, so light sleepers beware). The motel itself is of basic cinder block design and the rooms look like they haven't been updated in 20 years. The beds and pillows were comfortable, but there was mold on the bathroom ceiling tiles and electrical tape holding together what padding was left on the chairs in the room. One of their mottos is "impeccably clean." The cleaning was okay, but not impeccable - hair on the bathroom floor when we checked in and the inside of the toilet wasn't clean. I'm a frequent traveler and don't think this motel is worth the rate they charge, but then again I recognize that it's one of the cheaper passable options in a city with very few options.
- Mark (2/5): Hard use - Unclean room and property in disrepair.
We booked online from the description but could not stay once we saw it.
- Stephen (6/5): Good stay - AccomdTions were fine. Only negative was a loud motorcycle at 1am
- Mark (2/5): Stay elsewhere! - The linens on the beds were stained. There was a huge dent in the bathroom door where someone had punched or kneed it. There were beetles crawling across the floor. The manager was not even surprised when we asked for our money back. She did not even offer a different room, apparently knowing they were all in the same state of repair. We left and found a nice room at La Quinta. This place could use a visit from Hotel Impossible!
- Mark (2/5): Sad state - Booked a room online but did not spend the night due to the condition of the place. Really try to support the local hotels/motels first, but this one has seen way too much action and too little cleaning and upkeep. Relieved to find a room elsewhere in town.
- Elisabeth (8/5): Nice people! - Bozeman was awesome, and I was on a several week road trip with in-laws. Had a gret time. The hotel was older and almost hostel-ish, but we had a good time and felt safe anyway!
- Teri (6/5): Overrated - Our room was off a back alley, and that's where you had to park your car. The motel is non-smoking, but there was a huge flower planter full of cigarette butts right next to our door. We moved it so smokers would not hang out there. Unfortunately, the cigarette smoke must have been in the air conditioner filters from people smoking there, and put a slight smoke smell in our room. The room was newly painted cinder block, with some tile added here and there to try to make it a little warmer looking. The bed made horrible creaking noises. The carpet had some stains. The worst part was the bathroom tub/shower. The caulking around the tub was black, there were horrible yellow water stains on the tub, and the shower head had black mineral stains making it look unclean. This was surprising as they took the time to put in a nice sink, but left the tub looking this way. Replacing the shower head and recaulking with bright white would have went a long way!
- Krystyna (8/5): Nice, clean - Very nice and helphul staff. Good breakfast. (Will be nice to have braekfast earlier then 7 since hikers are most likely are on the road by 7am
- Teri (10/5): Lovely inn with lots of perks! - Huge clean rooms, nice breakfast, & great amenities (free laundry service - tips only). Perfect location right by the University. Honest and friendly staff. An employee found $2 while washing my clothes and returned it!! I'll be back for sure!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Like the old saying never judge a book by it's cover this hotel doesn't look all that inviting on the outside but the rooms and common areas where very nice clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was great especially like using real plates and silverware.
- david (6/5): Nice place to stay - Nice hotel. I really liked the exterior entrance for the rooms on the first floor, although I was concerned about the ease of access for other people to get to the vehicles. Desk clerk was polite and helpful. Breakfast was fine, although I prefer my sausage gravy to be a little thicker than what was provided, tasty though.
- ASC (8/5): Very nice for an easy stay during a quick trip. - The staff was very good. Was able to get us a roll-away even though we hadn't requested it early.
They also had a very good breakfast.
- Winston (8/5): North Dakota Hospitality - Very nice hotel,service was first class,room was dated.Nice breakfast.Family friendly.
- Steve (2/5): Ok if you work in the nearby oil fields - You do get what youpay for. This was a low cost hotel and in retrospect I should have known that the facility would reflect its low rates. Building is rundown and rooms are dated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overnight Travel stop - The room was clean but there was a used coffee filter still in the coffer machine when we arrived and every now and again there was a smell of the drains. The internet in the room was flaky so we had to go to the main reception to use the internet..
- Kim (4/5): - Poor Internet
- Verified traveler (6/5): Dickinson - Only problem was we got in late and could not get the TV to work and customer service was gone for the day
