Guest Reviews
- JOSEPH (10/5): The absolute best near the sea, mountains, waterfal - Absolutely incredible stay!!!!
- manfu (8/5): Nice clean room and close to the national park - Nice clean room, friendly helpful staff.
- Collette (10/5): Nice place, great food :) - Beautiful location, very friendly staff and the best and cheapest Thai food we found. Hotel is only 10 minute walk from the National Park entrance so big bonus. We were also treated to nosy macaques during parts of the day and a bit of a bat show one evening, we really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
- duifje (2/5): Friendly but wouldn't recommend - They didn't have our reservation. They made it up by giving us an upgrade. The room still was basic, but ok. The wifi is pretty much non-existent, neither in the rooms or in the restaurant. We booked a few tours with them. The elephant washing was depressing as the company they book with is not a sanctuary and they also accommodate elephant trekking, (I mentioned that I didn't want to support elephant trekking). So we were surrounded by depressed elephants. The 2 day 1 night lake trip incl 2 cave tours was basically being rushed through the jungle and the cave without any information regarding the area. Our English speaking guide's vocabulary consisted of; batman, Spider-Man, and condom. On the way to the pier they tried to make us buy a flashlight. We were informed by Mint, who runs the resort, that flip-flops would suffice for The hikes, they don't!! Bring water shoes or sneakers, or rent them at The lake cabins for 50B. But they fill up with water and you can only empty them by taking them off. The boat safaris were just boat rides in the hopes to spot a monkey from a far distance up in a tree. The mattresses were disgusting and rock hard. I really don't mind roughing it, but I'd like to be prepared. Also, bring a sleeping bag, the blankets they provide are nasty and not warm enough. I wouldn't recommend booking through them.
Before leaving any tour they offer food. But you'll have to wait half an hour for an omelette, so plan ahead.
