Comfortable and well equipped. - 2BR unit, a typical motel room with 2 beds plus a small side room with 2 beds, suited us 3 even if not a 2BR apartment with 2 BRs separate from living room. Lots of good towels, exc quiet Air Conditioner. good table/chairs plus a lounge. Exc bathroom plus additional separate basin area plus separate toilet. It is in south Gundagai, very close to main highway, however no cafes or restaurants will deliver, so need to drive a few km.

- BVEEN (10/5): A beautiful surprise just off highway - The double/family room we stayed in had a separate toilet to the bathroom with its own little sink for hand washing. The bathroom shower pressure was amazing and the large spa bath relaxing. Room was so spacious for 2 people but set up for families with lots of space. - Vicki (9/5): Fabulous older property which was very comfortable. - Older property with all necessary facilities. It is very convenient- just off 2nd Gundagai exit. We had a family room which was huge! Would be great for a family. No dislikes - it was great.

- Clare (9/5): Quality vintage Aussie motel xx - We love the Tuckerbox because of the amazing birds that visit at dawn and sunset!! And the ENORMOUS room we had was great too. I walk with a cane and am hardly even disabled but the room was totally accessible. In our dreams they start doing breakfasts again and shove them through the little hatches! But that’s probably mad x and we always eat at the Niagara in Gundagai anyway!

It was quiet & well situated with the petrol station across the road. There were plenty of food facilities to choose from which made it easy for meals. I really can't find any faults with this motor inn.

- Andrew (5/5): A bad ambassador for country hospitality - The location worked well to break up our journey. The host was rude and very unhelpful when we arrived out of hours (as was agreed). We hadn't received a text advising how to enter our room, and instead of coming out of his room to assist he rudely declared it wasn't his fault. If you're looking for warm, country hospitality, don't book here! There was also a funky smell in the room which was unpleasant!

Cute outdoor kitchen/barbecue facilities and a nice pool.! - I like that the room had all the necessary comforts a nice spa bath despite the fact that the spa bubbles were not working it was a nice deep bath. The beds were comfortable. it’s not that I didn’t like anything but with so many motels you go into everything is nice and clean and organised but the curtains hang off their rails making the place feel unkept!

- Suzanne (4/5): Very disappointing and non helpful staff in reception - The room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the spa or room The rude man behind the counter. Unfortunately we were not aware of the no pet policy and had travelled 10 hrs with a very quiet cat, baby and a toddler The reception man offered no assistance and we were towing our van and had requested could we put the van up On the vacant lot beside the motel and stay there with our cat only to be rudely told the cat is not allowed on the premises and I own that vacant lot. One party had to find a pet friendly room at 8.00 pm and pay another 155.00 so the cat could get out of the car. When travelling the Hume highway we will not be staying at this motel again.

Great to have kitchen sink facilities. Beds comfortable, and a good sized room. Minutes to the town centre. Some extra pillows would have been nice.
