- Dale (7/5): - Mike provided a very good breakfast and we enjoyed talking to him. We weren't given the wifi password when we checked in and it isn't displayed in the room. Mike goes to bed very early, so he didn't answer his phone when I called a little after 8 to ask for it. There are also no TVs, so our entertainment options were limited. In my opinion, the wifi either shouldn't be password-protected, or there should be a document in the room providing the password.

- Miranda (10/5): It was sweet, quiet, peaceful, charming, and friendly. Not to mention GORGEOUS. - This place far exceeded our expectations and what we were looking for. We had stopped to eat on our journey at the Dog Bar, then realized we were tired. The lodge across the street charges $45/pet, and I always travel with my 2 dogs. Booking.com popped up this Inn near us, so we booked. The price was so reasonable, and pets were WELCOMED. It not only turned out to be quite a huge, gorgeous house tucked into charm of Cuchara, but the staff was like old friends. A homemade breakfast set us up for a wonderful day full of adventure. I will be staying here anytime I am in the area. Nothing. I mean nothing!

- Mikaila (10/5): The perfect stay! - This is one of my favorite stays ever, the town is a block long, and absolutely beautiful. You can just park at the BnB and walk to everything, you’re right on the creek and the owners are absolutely wonderful people. They have nothing but kind and helpful things to say, they’re ready to help with anything you could come up with. I have a gluten allergy and they were so kind and welcoming! We went to the cuchara mountain park from their recommendation and had such a peaceful time there! If you’re looking for a quiet home away in the mountains, this place is amazing!

Highly recommend his place if you are hoping to immerse yourself in Southern CO culture. Go in knowing that this is an older B&B where you may not find all the creature comforts offered by big chains and you are certain to have an excellent experience.

- Kirsten (10/5): Incredible Hospitality! - What makes Dodgeton Creek Inn truly amazing is the owner Mike. Every morning Mike made us the most welcoming and delicious breakfasts with eggs benedict, omelets, or pancakes with maple syrup, fresh fruit, coffee, and a selection of juices. It felt just like being taken care of at home and there was always a warm atmosphere. He was truly wonderful. The room was quite large and had its own fun old flavor and the kitchen in our room was well stocked with every appliance you could think of. The shower always had excellent hot water. We felt we could ask Mike anything we needed, and he would find it. He was kind, thoughtful, and ready to help in any way he could. Wifi worked great. This place is really a great value for money. The only minor issue was the mattresses. Our room had a double bed and a single bed, which my friend and I stayed in. The single bed was less comfortable than the double-it might be better suited for a child/teen and was a little soft. Fortunately, my friend is tiny so it worked out ok!

- John (8/5): We love the area and Dodgeton is reasonable and well located - Great old building on a little creek. Cucharra is very small but has two excellent restaurants. Owner fixed a great breakfast and is always interesting to visit with. A few plates, cups and silverware would be helpful if eating in the room.
- Kelly (6/5): - We happened upon this adorable mountain town and stayed at Dodgeton Creek Inn. The proprietor of the B & B was Mike who had many interesting stories to share. We had the Junior suite downstairs lodging for three. The issue we had was the noise from the upper levels, it was difficult to sleep as we heard footsteps, chairs sliding, dropping items, etc almost all night long (from those late coming in and then the early rising contractors).... we only had a couple of hours of quiet rest and awoke with a horrible headache. I wouldn't mind staying here again, however only if an upper floor room was available. The lovely stream behind the patio was such a treat.

Yacht Club (two doors down) was a hit with music, good food & good service. The building was generally in good shape but a few extra holes in the wall, a hole in a bath towel and flat, flat pillows that were ready to be retired.

- Mary (6/5): - i didn't enjoy my stay at all. Things were dirty. Everything was very old and dirty. Tv didn't work at first and was very complicated. I asked the owner for help and he came. He didn't fix and he just left to help someone else and didn't come back. The bedding was really old. The beds were all very uncomfortable. The refrigerator was dirty. The floor had no carpeting and was dirty and soooooo cold. He had spare stuff for the whole hotel stored in our room so I felt like I was staying in a storage room. There was no direct way to get ahold of the owner of the place. There was no direct phone to him so you had to walk around to find him. I left a day early because I couldn't stay there another day. Although the scenery was exceptional

The host was very accommodating, even making us a hot breakfast at 5:00AM so we could start our hike early. He also provided great information helping us with our stay and hike. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. A fun experience outside the norm. The town is very compact and interesting. A couple of good, fun restaurants within a short walk. It's not really a dislike, but some people may not like that it is off the beaten track. But that's what makes it great!
