• Elizabeth (5/5): - I booked through Booking.com 2 weeks before arrival and requested a pet room. During online check-in the day prior to arrival, it stated that this wasn't a pet-friendly hotel, which was confusing, but on the next step I was able to add the $15/night pet option. However, when my husband showed up, he was informed that no pet room was available. Thankfully, I wasn't able to join him that night, but he had to move out of his room in the morning and move rooms. I need to confirm whether I was actually refunded one night of pet fees, but given the notice, unsure why a room wasn't available the first night.

Huge red stains on the carpet , a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain , walls around vanity were smudged with dirt , bathroom floor was speckled . I’ve stayed here before and the accommodations were always much better .

I also had a big issue with my TV remote not working and not being a simple fix because there is a screw protecting two AAA batteries which I don't understand. On top of that I walk across the parking lot to only be given a remote that didn't work while my daughter is crying cuz she want cartoons like she has everyday in the morning. So I had to walk back over again for the desk guy to search for a screw driver to fix this remote while I have a little girl crying in the room. Days Inn should be giving me me a free stay . Not a run around with. My deposit which still hasn't went back to my account 11 hrs later. Be a good business and make up for the hassle I had to go through with the cold weather and knowing I have an upset 3 yr old in the room cuz you guys want to lock up the simple little battery in the remote ...

It got a little chilly and I turned on the heat the heat smelled awful, so I had to turn heat off and open the door to get ventilation in the room. Also, the handle on the shower was not working.

Hotel was sold out, so could not change rooms. Have been trying to get refund, which the man that checked us in said we could, but that hasn't happened. Booking.com says they sent email to hotel and hotel says they did not receive -- no one seems to care. Bugs in room.

• clifford (1/5): Booking needs to stop showing this hotel - Location was great it's close to the casino The manager is a snake he will tell you he doesn't see your booking reservation so you have no choice but to cancel your reservation then book though him at a higher rate and in doing so bookings will charge you $50 to cancel the reservation that you have with him I've never dealt with such a snake in the grass this is the only bad review I've ever given after 30 years of being a traveling salesman

The beds were not made so we went back to front desk and the women said she gave the wrong room. There were walking around late at making a lot of noise 1:00 am. they woke us up.

• Mandie (1/5): Used to be amazing and now it's awful! - Location I booked and paid for a king room and when I got there I was told there was no king rooms. I was given a double queen room. Upon entering the no-smoking room the smell of weed was horrific. When he walked to the sink we found a smoked blunt sitting at the sink. The manager was less than helpful and very short after saying that booking sites are scams. I've started here every October for the past few years and have loved everything but this was enough to make me never come back.

We reported it two times before we left, and once at check out. We even tried to plunge it ourselves. No compensation was offered for the inconvenience.

• Shawn (8/5): Trip to see 38 Special - Close proximity to casino. Shuttle between Shuttle wasn't available for return trip from casino, had to pay for uber. Also, coffee machine in lobby/breakfast area was broken so no coffee available. Would think there'd be a backup machine, even if for just plain coffee. Shower was kind of restricting/small but was only there one night so not a really big deal.

They gave me my room key and when went to door, there was someone already assigned to room. Front desk staff handed me a credit card that belonged to someone else. There was no other person there. Strange. I only needed 1 night of sleep. Won't stay there again more than likely.

• Megan (10/5): - The room we stayed in was a king room it was very comfortable very clean The facility itself is a little dated but they've done a lot of remodeling. I will definitely stay there again anytime I go to Charles Town. I don't really have any complaints at all the room definitely met my expectations I was a little nervous because some of the reviews on Google were bad so I went in with really low expectations and I'm not sure what people were talking about that we're leaving negative comments I think this is the first time I stayed anywhere and had zero complaints. I literally can't think of a single thing this facility could have done differently to make our stay any better.
