Guest Reviews
- Shawnee Starr (8/5): - It was great value. Clean and convenient. Food was delicious . People were friendly. A/C didn’t work well in one bedroom and we couldn’t get TV’s to connect to any streaming service and could not cast.
- Kim (4/5): - The villas are very or below average. The hotel area has been updated and more modern. There is nothing in the kitchenette ex. Dishes, cups, not even paper towels. The staff only resticked the mini bar fridge twice in 6 dats even after calling the front desk multiple times. The views are beautiful, but the villas leave much to be desired.
- Kelly (10/5): - Beautiful location and wonderful people who worked there
- Tanya N (8/5): - Beautiful beach! Great service , everyone of the staff were very friendly. Food was good , nothing amazing but good. They could improve on food that is grab and go. Everywhere you sit down and have a server. We would have loved to get a burger or a pizza and sit on the beach with it. But definitely worth going for the beach & pool!
- Chad (10/5): - Review of Wyndham Grand Cancun
We recently stayed at Wyndham Grand Cancun and had an overall wonderful experience. Here's a breakdown of our time there:
Pros:
The resort was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay.
Our villa was spacious and well-appointed, offering a comfortable and convenient stay. Its location, close to the beach, was a definite highlight.
The beach was pristine, with plenty of lounge chairs available for guests to relax.
We also received outstanding service, particularly from Sergio and Enrique in the restaurants. Sergio was incredibly helpful with a couple of small scheduling issues, ensuring that our vacation went smoothly. Enrique, whom we met at the Italian restaurant, Da Vinci, added a special touch by helping us reminisce about our first visit to the resort 30 years ago on our honeymoon – he was working there at the time!
Cons:
The internet service was inconsistent, and we experienced complete lack of signal in much of our villa. Additionally, Verizon customers, like ourselves, may face weak and unreliable service on the resort grounds.
Food-to-go options were limited. For example, if part of our group wanted sushi and others wanted burgers, we had to visit each restaurant separately instead of being able to bring food from one location to another, even if they were just a short distance apart.
We were also surprised by the additional fee for room service, which felt excessive given the all-i
- Doug (10/5): - Spent 7 days here for a family vacation in an ocean front villa. It was spacious for our family of 5 and close walk to everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!
- Radhika (10/5): - Great all inclusive resort. Food at all the restaurants was very good. Service was excellent. The beach and pools were amazing
- Xhoana (8/5): - We had trouble the first day because the AC had broken in the family villa that we were supposed to stay. However the staff was nice enough to provide us with three separate rooms for the night and upgrade our bracelets. It was still inconvenient, because we did not settle for two days, so It ruined the vacation. But it was nice from the staff to find a quick solution. The dining was a bit hard as you had to make reservations like 9AM in the morning or they were booked. The servers were awesome, nice and ready to answer. The rooms were very clean and pleasant. 7/10 experience.
- Mary (10/5): - The property is dated but the 3 bedroom villa was still great to stay in with my family. The wait staff was amazing. The internet is awful but really that was everyone’s only complaint
- Mohamad ali (2/5): - left the room after the hotel did not give me the room that was reserved online
- Ann-Mara (8/5): - A highlight of this property is the jacuzzi bar! Perfect for the raining days. We met so many nice people. My young adult children also enjoyed the dancing at La Vista after hours! The biggest downside is the food. We didn’t starve, but the buffet wasn’t great. And, the sit down restaurants were hard to book - had to get up at 7am each day to try to get a table. Also, they were nasty about taking food from the buffet for family members who wanted to sleep late. It’s all inclusive! Why do they care?
- Victor (4/5): - Restaurant service was horrible
- Angela (10/5): - Luis was outstanding! The villa was clean and perfect for family of 5, Definitely could fit more people, especially children. I am looking forward to returning.
- Theresa (10/5): - Omni Villa we comfortable and spacious. Good for large families or 3 couples. Pools were clean and service was excellent.
We loved Cancun and plan to return.
- Ashlee (6/5): - This property is not equipped to handle the amount of people staying here. Peope are running to the pool and beach at 7 a.m. to get lounge chairs bc there are not enough on the property. The dining facilities are not large enough. My party was turned away a few times bc the various reataurants were full or at capacity (only one restaurant takes a reservation which is a scramble to get at 8 a.m. each morning). The room was outdated and needs renovating and new decor. It was hard to get anyone to help with anything. Once, I did connect with someone he/she was nice, polite, and helpful. The hotel is understaffed and needs more lounge chairs and umbrellas.
- Mylien (6/5): - Location is good. Rooms are dated. Good beach and pools are okay, however food was not a good experience. Lousy hotel activities and drinks are terrible including coffee! Will NOT be back.
- MAGGIE (6/5): - The Villa smelled like sewer.
- Samuel (6/5): - Old, nobody answers phones, internet is a joke.
- Bryan (8/5): - The Villa we stayed in was awesome. I did not expect a place like that for the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property is fine we had a good time. Frustrating things were the keys wouldn’t work to get into the three-bedroom villa we had to walk all the way around the backside which if you’re by yourself and it’s late at night is not well lit. They were very busy so Service was harder to get but in general service was fine. This is a nice medium caliber easy to get to location place.
There is very nice people also staying at the resort we had fun making friends.
I think this is par for most places in Mexico
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Each room had its own bathroom and balcony. All resort amenities were close-by and accessible. As an 'All Inclusive", the food was generally good and plentiful.
The liquor however was substandard and everyday economy name brands (i.e - Barcardi, Smirnoff, Jim Beam) were at extra cost ($7.) per drink. It was very disappointing paying 4 Star resort prices and getting 3rd rate liquor and wine that gave a hangover consuming small quantities, Of course the beer was fine.
Overall it was good, but why an "All Inclusive" is still a risky bet, even with an Omni Resort.
