- Christine (8/5): Short term; accommodations were not bad. - Large cabin with lots of room that suited our family. For the most part it worked well.BBQ on the deck was a bonus The step from the bedroom area should be clearly marked - “watch step”
- Rosemarie (3/5): Adequate only. - We let ourselves in. No one was there, late at night when we arrived. Bed was very old! Not a nice mattress. Bathroom was small but clean. The bed. Room was very dated.
- Jonas (10/5): Perfect relaxation - Very nice accommodation. The receptionist was very helpful. Make sure to book the sauna Apartment. It has a hot tube outside with lake view a great patio and a private sauna. The lake access over a wooden pier is easy and perfect after sauna.
- Emma (3/5): - Beautifully located at the lake. It was definitly no deluxe cottage, rather rustic. The specified heating was only a heating coil, not enough for cold october weather. We froze a lot. The equipment was very old and partially broken. It did not seem very clean overall. We had a mouse in the cottage, although we kept the door closed.

- Laura (6/5): - Mixed bag of a stay Pros: beautiful landscape, really nice lake with a dock for swimming, free lifejackets for the kids, nice firepits and BBQs at each cabin, good communication from front desk lady Cons: no air conditioning, so it was extremely hot in the cabin even with windows open and fans on. Cabin was quite rustic and rundown -- cracked windows, front door doesn't close properly, parts of the floor collapsing. The pullout couch frame was broken so we had to put the mattress on the floor. Beds were not comfortable at all. Was told there was a fully stocked kitchen but there was the bare minimum imo (no salt or pepper, no mixing bowls, not enough cookware, etc). Worst part was they charged us for every little thing (wood, towels, even bedsheets!!! Shouldn't bedsheets be included?!) and it felt like we were being nickle and dimed -- just include it in a higher overall price.

- Carrie (10/5): - We had the perfect room with a deck right off our room overlooking Lange Lake. It was a stunning view and location for sure. Our room had a sauna, and we had a hot tub on our deck at our disposal. We also had a barbecue grill which we were able to use to grill in the evening and a lit little stove and kitchenette for cooking breakfast as well. Jenn, the property manager, was extremely friendly and helpful to any of our needs. It should be mentioned that the units do not have air conditioning, thankfully the breeze off the lake helped keep the rooms cool at night for sleeping. Thank you, Lang Lake resort for a wonderful night stay!

The lake was at our doorstep and we brought our own bedding, but they will provide if needed. They are very accommodating Hosts.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay stay - It wasn't a separate cabin like we thought it would be. It was a suite connected to their main office building. It was clean enough, hardwood floors, and wood paneled walls. A kitchenette and fridge, satellite tv and a couch. No towels, but when I called they brought me some. The beds were pretty crappy. And the blinds were missing multiple slats so we couldn't keep it dark in the morning. It had a deck with a table and chairs outside with a nice view of the lake. It was warm inside, and they let us use the hot tub. It was an okay stay.

It was a beautiful sunny fall day so we spent quite a bit of time on the dock admiring the view and throwing a ball for our dog into the water. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and stay was delightful.

- Janet (6/5): - This is a drop dead beautiful location at the end of a wilderness lake. We had a renovated cabin but the beds were beyond belief bad and staffing minimal to none.
- Ceilidh (6/5): - It’s a true cottage, bring bedding, soap(s), wine glasses etc. It has no ac so it was very hot. The location is amazing, but small things would increase the experience. It was great to see kids fishing off the dock and you can rent canoes and kayaks. And it’s dog friendly.

No AC! Screen patio door jammed and big gap even when closed, so we could not have the patio door open because mosquitos came through the gap. Unfair check out time (9 am).

- Jaimie (4/5): - Excellent location, on the lake. Friendly staff and fishermen around. Family swam and enjoyed that. The "cottage" we stayed in was more like a cabin than a cottage. It was very rustic. Dishes were older and not enough cutlery for all of us. Kitchen table and chairs were wobbly and breaking. It did the job for 1 night, but there was a smell coming from the sink/behind stove that wasnt pleasant. I reported to staff, and they said they would look into it. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again. It is probably great for fishing and boating, not great for families with young children. Good alternative to camping.
- Cheryl (6/5): - Communication, the web site describes a restaurant on site, it doesn’t exist. No one was available to greet us and to tell us how to get to our cabin. On the morning of our expected arrival I received a text saying there was trouble with my payment. ( I had believed that I had paid for the stay at the time of the booking ) at that time he also sent me a pre arrival form, it asked about wether linens and towels were needed and how much (?) The cabin itself was cute A frame with beds available on the 2nd floor up a very steep stair located perilously close to the wall. There were soft spots on the floor covered by relatively new laminate. It was clean. Coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove fridge were clean and available to use ( no coffee). Having never been to this resort before or having had rented a cabin before it really would have been nice to have it communicated. It was expensive for what was provided.

The coffee maker turned on but didn't work. The check out time is 0900, which is extremely early if you're not a fisherman.

- Ibrahim (10/5): - Cottage was lakefront, view was great. Washroom a little tight. Had rain all night when we stayed and lots of killer mosquitoes next day. Still reeling from mosquito bites lol. Pack good amount of repellents if planning to stay. Very serene and quiet for relaxation. Only twelve minutes drive from town of Espanola. Mark and his dad were were very accommodating and communicative. Overall, it was great.

- Ashley (10/5): - My family and I absolutely had the most wonderful time at the cottage. It was beautiful and the view was absolutely stunning. We will definitely be making this a yearly thing. We'd like to start going every summer and maybe winter. Weather was cold but we still had a blast and loved the wood stove. We will definitely recommend lang lakes to people.

Lights on exterior of cabin not working so could not see coming or leaving on rock path at dark. Freezer to fridge wasn’t working. Coffee maker took an hour to make a pot of coffee. We were going to have guests stay over but they were put off by the staff. We had wanted to rent boat to fish and be on the water but ended up going away from resort to do activities instead. Rented for celebration of life with family members and were met with requests for additional payments for bedding and towels. Bedding provided was old, see through and ripping.

- Paula (10/5): - We spent 3 days and 2 nights. Management was very inviting and responsive to our needs. The cabin was immaculate and had all the things we required for our stay! It was a ten minute drive to town for groceries or other needs. The only concern we’d have is that not all patio chairs were in the best of shape, so not all of us necessarily had something to sit on while out on the deck.

We stayed one night whilst en route to another location and it was very convenient because we were getting picked up right there at the dock the next morning. The only issue we had was that the cabin was hard to find at night. Although the cabin was up the hill, we had to go down to go up, which was a little confusing- I recommend getting there during the daylight.

(fine by us). Enjoyed watching the fishers and had the urge to try fishing again myself. Be sure to go to the property's website for proper costs.

A breaker kept going off turning off lights. Mouse feces on the fridge and also on matress of the pull out couch. Were not given a key to the room, just told to go in via text.

- kimmP5659MM (10/5): Great little Gem - Pros. Mark was a great host for our visit. Anything we needed the staff here made sure we got. We got blankets and pillows supplied and for an extra fee got sheets for all the beds and towels for the bathroom less we had to pack. This resort is right on the water and we had fantastic views of the lake. The cottage #8 had recently been redone so everything was new. Had a TV with satellite but no internet. Beds were comfortable and the cabin had 3 bedrooms and living room, bathroom with a shower and kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. Rented A pontoon boat for the whole week and the cottages had thier own docks so we could park it right outside for easy access. They had thier own gas pump right on site so anytime we needed to top up it was easy. The resort also had canoes and paddle boards for a fee to use for the day. The resort was only 10 minutes from town which made it easy when we had to run and grab something. The lake was great to swim in and the docks had ladders attached to get in and out of the water. The lake had spectacular fishing caught alot of bass large and small mouth and even a couple of walleye. Now for the few cons. The pontoon boat had seen better days and could have used a major power washing of the seats and floors. The motor when we were out would occasionally sputter when pushed above 3 RPMS although it had a 60 horse power motor. The front gate was totally missing and had a rope across it and the lights weren't working so we couldn't be out after dark. All in all a great vacation and would definately would visit here again

- Verified traveler (8/5): - For people who tent camp, this was a treat. The appliances worked really well and the cottage was warm and relatively quiet. Parts of the cottage had been renovated and upkeep was great. It was disappointing to be given one towel for two to share but thankfully we brought along things like towels and toilet paper etc which were in short supply. As our plans were to explore Manitoulin Island, we were close to everything we wanted to do and see. However, there did not appear to be a lot to do at the resort outside of renting a boat if you wished. The view though was worth a million dollars!!!

- Fearless690296 (10/5): Trustworthy owners - Never had a chance to stay here as we had to cancel our reservations due to an illness in one of our party. We had submitted our deposit cheque months ahead but were dubious we would ever see that money again. Happily our refund cheque arrived about 2 weeks after our original booking date exactly as stated in their rate and refunds policy. This is one resort you can trust and for sure we will book with them again. Thanks Aizenberg family.

My car got stuck in the snow and they were very helpful in getting me out. I would definitely stay here again. Just make sure you have good winter tires if you go in the winter. I would love to come back in the summer.

- RogerH746 (10/5): Beautiful setting, restful weekend - We spent the May long weekend here. Although the weather was wet, we had a very relaxing stay. Cabin 9 is a great cabin, very close to the water. It has corner windows on both ends, giving beautiful views to the east, south and north, and light comes in all day. The cabin is rustic and charming, like the cottages of our youth, before Muskoka got crazy with 5000 square foot McMansions. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and fully equipped. The owners are helpful and hospitable, and they allow dogs. There is a snowmobile trail right off the property, making dog walking very easy. Lang Lk is a very pretty lake, and we hope for better weather on our next visit, so we can rent one of their boats and explore more of this (mostly) undeveloped lake. Although this is a semi-wilderness location, there is excellent cell service, and groceries & supplies are available only 15 minutes away in Espanola. Best of both worlds!
- LoopsToronto (8/5): Great stay - We drove past the sign for this resort needing a place to rest our heads for the night. We called and they held the room for us while we went into town (only a few minutes away) to buy groceries. The owner was great and very accommodating. Knowing that we weren't prepared for a camping experience he didn't charge us for sheets/towels. Since our cabin wasn't rented the following night he offered us a late checkout without us asking. #8 was the perfect size for us and our two small kids. Right on the lake with a fire pit, BBQ and chairs. It beat any hotel/motel we would've ended up pulling into instead. I'd recommend this place for their amazing hospitality and friendliness and of course the cleanliness of the cabin and it's superb location!
- robint652 (2/5): Disappointed - My boyfriend and I, along with three other couples, rented two cabins on May long weekend. We paid $593.00 per cabin, just under $1200. The cabin that I personally stayed in was in dyer need of maintenance. A steady flow of aunts through out the kitchen, bedrooms "walls" that didn't reach the ceiling leaving a huge gap, and a front door with a 3 inch gap as well open to the outside. Our cabin was FULL of mosquitos. Apart from the physical state of the accommodations the most disturbing experience was when the owner lost control of her bull dog and he attacked my 15lb dog who was tied up on our camp site. The woman stood in shock while her dog had mine in his mouth. Thankfully we were close by and were able to forcefully make the bull dog release. Immediately after that incident we packed the car and left, maybe within 10 minutes as we were upset. A day or two later I received notice that we were being charged 50$ extra for leaving our dishes ..... After spending 1200$ and having our dog attacked. We refused to pay and were told we are no longer welcome. Be aware of the dog on the premises as he clearly is aggressive.
- AndPilot (10/5): Great place to make mind reboot - We rented 3 cottages for 15 people. Very nice clean cottages, with all working appliances. Endless lakes to travel by boat and for fishing. They have WiFi near the office and 3G coverage is very good there. We were even capable to charge our EV from the stove socket there. :-) A dedicated 14-50 socket would be really nice solution for EV travellers ;-)
- melaniekostas (8/5): Nice Getaway. at this Fishing Resort. Clean, individual, private Cottages - This was a very enjoyable stay. The cottages at this resort are clean. Well maintained. The staff are helpful, polite and a phone call away. The kitchen had all the gadgets and pans needed for food preparation. A coffee maker, toaster and microwave are provided. Just bring your own coffee. The bathroom is cozy and small but very clean. There is a good supply of hot water. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The fishing was good. The staff sell bait. Boats are available for rent and are maintained well. The restaurant does not open until the summer. When you talk to the staff to book a cottage, be sure to find out if the cottage that you are getting has satellite TV. All the cottages have a TV. BUT not all of the cottages have Satellite TV. Some of them only have the TV with a DVD player. So if you are stuck inside due to bad weather, you will have to find other forms of entertainment!,,,,,maybe a sing along or two! There are beautiful views from the cottages and the decks. The chances are good for befriending a Chipmunk. The resort is located about 20 minutes away from major chain grocery stores, Canadian Tire and other stores and restaurants. . I wanted to give this resort a 5 out of 5 star but they need to fix the satellite TV issue and make it available in all of the cottages especially when guests cannot go out in inclement weather. The staff should make sure that they tell people who call that satellite TV is provided but not all of the cottages are equipped with the satellite. Overall, the place is a beauty. It is an enjoyable, charming getaway with many conveniences for a pleasant wilderness getaway where the best of both worlds can be enjoyed. Bring your own bottled water. The water at the resort is treated but it is better not to risk drinking it even after it has been boiled. Better to be safe than sorry!
- 683irynap (10/5): Been there on 2015 Thanksgiving, a family of 6 and friends, enjoyed every single moment of the stay! - We rented 3 bedroom cottage, it was clean and supplied with everything we needed for 4 day stay. Stove, large fridge, BBQ, utensils, pans and pots and so on. Right in the cottage we admired an extensive deck overlooking the lake with a stunning view of a massive cliff. Lots of places pontoons to fish from. New beautiful sauna. Special well equipped place to clean fish - never seen like this before. Stuff - extremely friendly, polite and accurate. We rented a boat there and visited many nooks and bays of the lake as well as adjacent lakes. One day we visited Chutes Provincial Park - it vas a trip beyond words due to gorgeous sceneries of nature - chutes, waterfalls, lakes, beautiful trails. We all look forward to visiting Lang Lake Resort again, and I would recommend it to a friend or anyone who is interested. The only thing of concern was a construction taking out one lane on a bridge over French River. It took us 2 hours more on the way back home (traffic on the long weekend evening). So, planning the trip, it's better to avoid rush hour.
- robint652 (10/5): A little slice of Paradise! - My friends and I rented a cabin on May long weekend, there was 6 adults and a child, and we had a blast! The cabin was spotless upon arrival, the staff were extremely friendly and at your service at all times. We brought our dogs with us and only had a small fee of 15$ a day. We also brought our boat which we were able to dock right in front of our cabin, very convenient! The resort provided fire wood for our bonfires and garbage pick up in the morning. This will become a yearly tradition at Lang Lake with our group!!

The cottage we had was nice enough and very clean. The beds were pretty uncomfortable but whatever. That wouldn't stop me from going back.
- AlexSapon (10/5): Fall colors at it's best on the Lang Lake - Just returned from the short, 4 days, stay at the Lang Lake resort over the Thanksgiving weekend with my family. The weather was really cooperating so we were very much enjoyed a boat tour along the lake and also hike some trails in the area to have a perfect views of the amazing fall colors. One must see its beauty by your own eyes, as no words can describe it. I would highly recommend this property; it is conveniently located close to the town of Espanola, right on the Lang Lake, with the magnificent views of the real Northern nature. The cottages are quite cozy with a lot of things to do around this resort.

- jewls244 (10/5): Great place to relax have fun and enjoy the scenery - Have been to a few camp sites and cottage rentals before and we have to say that Lang Lake was one of the nicer ones we have been to. Beautiful lake, clean cottages, friendly staff and neighbours, quiet and peaceful, and lastly fish and chips there just DELICIOUS! All amenities were also very close (dock, hot tub, sauna) We highly recommend Lang Lake Resort to anyone looking for an affordable, relaxing weekend away. Its definitely somewhere we will go back to for a summer vacation!
