- aneef (10/5): - First time experiencing something right of an anime traditional room. GREAT
- Michał (10/5): Bardzo miły pobyt. Wyjątkowe miejsce. -
- Leonard-Paterson (6/5): Solid spot for snow access. - Location great. Insides a bit Run down, and some rooms and areas looked a bit abandoned lowkey. But personal rooms good.
- Arturo (8/5): -
- Doreen (7/5): Good relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle from the cities - AMAZING MOUNTAIN VIEWS from my room and perfect 4 mins walk location which was extremely helpful when I was pulling multiple luggages. Short walk from a convenience store(Lawson) and strategically located near a very delicious restaurant beside the check in lobby. It's one of my highlight meal in the 11days trip. Beddings were stained as mentioned by other travellers. Water pressure in the shower can be better.
- Schultze (6/5): - Nettes Personal. Parkmöglichkeiten. Zentrale Lage.
Desayuno malo
- Hanisha (8/5): Good but wouldn't be my first choice. - Was very well located around restaurants, train station and bus route. Staff were very friendly. Onsen was wonderfully authentic and was very well appreciated after a day on the slopes. We booked a room with shared bathroom. The room itself had a missing door handle, mould in the corner of the room, splash marks of the walls and ceiling. Unfortunately, the place was fully booked out so we had to stay in the room. We also stayed for 7 nights and didn't have bedding changed throughout the whole time however we were given fresh towels every day.

- Ayden (8/5): Town was super quiet for unknown reason - Onsen were very nice, shared space was also nice Property was good, town was very odd, hardly anywhere to eat for lunch or dinner
- Chengxiong (4/5): Good location for ski but need to do better cleaning - hot spring and close to ski parks Very dirty mattress and blanket, my aircon was not working in the room so I’m cold all the time. Heater being provided to us later on used gas so it’s very smelly in the room
- Marving (10/5): - Best part of my trip. It does not provide access to the famous onsens but does not need them, there are really good restaurants close to hotel.
Room is big and very comfortable
- Davina (10/5): Great Location and Amemdities - The rooms were spacious and clean, the onsen was beautiful and was open for most of the day and night (except for cleaning). The staff were helpful and so nice. The location was great allowing us to access ski hills across the valley within a 40 minute drive with some located within 20 min drive. It was also a great location to access the Snow Monkey Park and Shibu Onsen. There were numerous restaurants within walking distance and two right beside the hotel. The town itself was very cute, allowing us to go for walks and experience rural or small town Japan. We will be back.

- sara (8/5): This was a great stay, we were very happy here! - The hotel room was very spacious and comfortable. The onsen was wonderful! The breakfast was very minimal and becausemy family is gluten frree because of Celiac disease, we couldnt eat any of it. I wish they had more breakfast options (something gluten free).

- Pippa (5/5): -
- Heath (8/5): Convenient and not too expensive. - It was very close to the train station, ideal for seeing the snow monkeys etc. The bath takes an extremely long time to fill and was smaller than it looked in photos.
- Luo (7/5): -
- Jackson (8/5): -
- William (9/5): - The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and quiet. The hotel was close to the rail station and ready to find. The onsen was excellent. The washroom had only a tiny mirror.
- Marlon (9/5): Good place to stay - Location and cleaning it need some actualizing on the rooms to be more comfortable (heat, kitchen, bathroom)
- daniel (10/5): - El lugar cercano a la estacion
- Rachael (10/5): - The onsen was fantastic and it was convenient to the attractions in town. Very easy walking distance to everything.
- Mira (8/5): Good hotel&on-site onsen combo for short stays - Easy check-in, comfortable rooms, large onsen with different temperature pools short walk from Yudanaka station and restaurants. A bit outdated, bathroom musty smell and onsen not available between 8am and 3pm.
- Michaela (10/5): The Best Hotel I Have Stayed At in a While - I loved my stay at Hotel Yudanaka. Upon arrival, I paid an extra 600 yen for the onsen fee (150 per person), but that's hardly anything. That doesn't even equate to $4 USD. I visited the on-site onsen with my daughter for about 3 hours every night. It's seperated by gender, and you have to be nude (not a problem for me, but just so others are aware if that makes them uncomfortable). The onsen had 4 different temperature pools ranging from mild to scalding hot, an ice bath, plus a sauna. I love to pamper myself and have spa-type experiences, so the onsen was just heaven. The showers were stocked with full-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The beds were mats on the floor, but they were comfortable. There's also a heater in the room, which was nice to use because it was snowing during our stay. The hotel is a 4 minute walk from the Yudanaka station. Breakfast every morning was 3 different kinds of bread rolls, waffle, coffee, tea, juice, and water, which was inconvenient for me since I'm gluten-intolerant. There was also no microwave in the room, and the fridge was so cold it froze my items.
- Artem (8/5): - Good place, station is not far away as a shop. Bad breakfast, old furniture and old hotel
- Sulaiman (10/5): -
- Mia (10/5): -
- Jo (8/5): Convenient location and friendly staff - The location is close to the station and walkable to good places to eat. The onsen has various bathing options and I loved having this on site to use once or twice a day. It's easy to walk to other onsens in the area - most within 30 minutes maxiumum or you can catch a bus. The onsen was not always as clean as I expected. The breakfast is pretty basic - just some bread options and coffee, juice, water. I needed to purchase food to supplement my needs.
- Laura-Alexandra (8/5): -
- Jermaine (8/5): Good location for a short stay. No frills and large onsen facility. - Large onsen with different baths to soak in. Adequate facilities in the property. Free breakfast which includes a few bread and beverage. Room was too cold for someone who lives in the tropics as there was only one heater in the room and the other two weren’t working

- William (4/5): Desperately needs modernization - Big room internet didn’t work in my room-going to the lobby or in the street to use internet is poor substitute. Breakfast was a bad joke.
- Hang (7/5): Good -
- Raewyn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claudette (9/5): it is a convenient and great stop for an overnight - Facilities/Staff friendliness breakfast
- Mike (10/5): - Everyone on staff made us feel welcome from the start. Aziz and both ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and lovely people. We will always remember them abs their friendliness and how nice our stay was. Will stay here again. The onsen is fabulous!
- Pierre-etienne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lydia (8/5): Very good - The room was big, Onsen was not crowded, reception people were really nice!! Onsen were a bit dirty, something was in the water, I don’t really know what it was. Maybe some water or vending machine in the onsen could be nice!
- Jonaste1 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheng (10/5): Exceptional - The room is spacious and Japanese style. The hotel just walk straight around 6 mins behind the tourist information centre, near to bus station and train station. They provide a free simple breakfast. (Bread and Drink) The onsen 👍
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Gill (7/5): Good -
- Max (1/5): Cold, old, squeaky and expensive - Onsen is fine Everything is just too old. Breakfast is 3 plain breads
- Ronny (8/5): Great location, spacious rooms, and an amazing onsen area. - We had a pleasant stay for two nights. The hotel is in a very central location, making it easy to explore the area. One of the highlights was the amazing spa and onsen area, which the hotel is well known for. The room was very spacious, providing plenty of comfort. I also appreciated the great public working space, which was convenient for getting some work done. Additionally, there is a restaurant in the same building, which made dining very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast package was quite small and only included two pieces of bread and a sweet waffle, which felt a bit insufficient. Another downside was that the heater in the bathroom was not working, so we had to heat the entire room and leave all the doors open to keep the bathroom warm.
- Samantha (10/5): It was easy and authentic and we loved it!!! - Everything!! We were so happy to be there!! Thank you all. We liked everything!
- Elizabeth (8/5): Sweet, older style hotel. Accessiblity an issue due to ice. - Traditional tatami rooms. Floor mattresses were firm but actually pretty comfortable. Our family room was very spacious for 3 people but would have been tight at maximum occupancy. Coffee table + seating area was nice for hanging out. Onsite onsen was a delight to warm up after a day on the slopes and is small-tattoo-friendly (they're not comfortable with full sleeves, etc but were ok with ours which are roughly 10cms). Staff have varying levels of english but very friendly and try their hardest to assist (the Indian guy in the mornings has the best english if you need it). The worst issue is that the property makes no effort to maintain the pathways into the building, so from both entrances you have to walk across extremely slipperly, icy carparks. I fell over twice in first 2 days and ended up having to purchase crampons solely to get in and out of the hotel safely. Defintely not recommended for older people or anyone with mobility issues.
Breakfast was pretty poor; just a few bread rolls and some coffee and juice.
No shower curtain meaning the entire bathroom got soaked when anyone showered.
Our room was not serviced during our 5 night stay.
- Audrey (6/5): - Personnel très chaleureux et accueillant
Excellent onsen
- Danielle (6/5): Nice Onsen - Onsen Hotel was run down so I think the stay was over priced.
- Jessie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Meghan (10/5): - Overall good accommodations - loved the traditional Japanese room we stayed in. It was spacious, clean and quiet.
- Ruby (5/5): Wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here - The toilet in my private room had not been cleaned properly, there was a kitchenette but signs saying ‘do not use’ next to all appliances, and the handles had been taken off the cupboards so they could not be used either. When I took a trip down to the onsen, there were large chunks of dead skin floating in the water of one of the pools- they clearly had not been cleaned for at least a week. Lastly, despite being a solo traveller the only room available was a family room sleeping 4. There was definitely not enough room for this and would be a comfortable size for 2 or 3.
- Giles (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Lovely - Good sized room, with nice bathroom and kitchenette. Onsen 😍 Slippers too small for big feet
- Gavin (9/5): A great onsen with nice staff & tired guest rooms - The onsen was fantastic after a day's skiing, although westerners should be aware that it's a Japanese-style onsen with Japanese rules (i.e. naked bathing) - a bit confronting the first time you do it! The location is good and the restaurant onsite has good food at reasonable enough prices. The rooms themselves are pretty dated, and the beds are futons. By Japanese standards the rooms didn't feel especially clean, but maybe that just comes down to the fact that they're getting old.
- Shane (7/5): It was good -
- Dillon (7/5): The hotel was a nice place in a great location close to the Snow Monkey Park. I would definitely recommend staying here. - Clean, beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff. Great onsen. Beds and pillows were and but too thin.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - onsen
- Margaretha (8/5): Very good - The room was very spacious, with a fridge and kettle, which gives you the opportunity to have breakfast in the room ( a Lawson market is near to the place).
Sauna and Onsen were great. The breakfast option was not good. If you want to catch the skibus at 7.45 am, the breakfast breadroll handout starts at 7.30. The skibus up to Shiga kogen costs 900yen one way, only from Sun Valley is the bus free of charge.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Onsen and proximity to station
- Adams (10/5): Convenient and bang for the buck! - Great location close to alot of restaurants and Lawson.
Only a 8 mins drive to the town centre with AEON and other shops and restaurants.
Onsen was bigger than I thought also with Sauna as well.
- Portia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrel (7/5): Good -
- Ung (8/5): Very good -
- Thushara (7/5): Good -
- Chris (3/5): Very basic and old hotel, but close to Snow Monkies. Expensive for what the rooms are - Good location Room was advertised as highlight of the quadruple room was it had its own hot tub. This ended up being a half sized bath.
- Christian (9/5): Superb -
- William (8/5): Very good - Great location
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
