Guest Reviews
- Pierre-Yves (8/5): rien à reprocher - Nous avons bien apprécié le site, visite des grottes et voir les Koalas
- Merryl (10/5): Anniversary - It was our wedding anniversary & enjoyed the dinner that night along with staying at the Inn. Great being able to make coffee and bottle water supplied. The view from room was amazing. Kangaroo's everywhere.
- Denise (10/5): - A lovely place to stay while looking for the wildflowers
- Wayne (10/5): - Friendly, efficient staff
- Salil (8/5): - Property with a lot of history, well kept.
- Michael (6/5): - Expensive like all the other hotels motels for a bed and shower.
- Christopher (8/5): - beautiful location,
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Very basic accomodation yet comfortable, waking up near kangaroos and birdlife is very nice.
The Inn itself provided excellent winter meals. A charming historic pub.
- Susan (8/5): - Loved the ambience of the main building and dining room. Our room was fair but value for money. The bed a bit uncomfortable.
- ROY (10/5): - Convenient
- Kim (8/5): - Is it old and tired or is it old world charm - probably charming but the staff make up for any downside.
- Benjamin (8/5): - Great for an easy and relaxing weekend away in beautiful surroundings. Sooo many roos!
- Brian (6/5): - Lots of kangaroos grazing right outside the inn. Lovely bushwalking tracks. Good food at the inn restaurant. Friendly staff. Ample parking.
- Jodie (10/5): - Loved it . We had a chalet with everything we needed , saw lots of animals
- Adrienne (10/5): - This was the second time staying here, and it was as amazing the second time as it was the first, only fault was the bed, we were in the single detached building this time around and unfortunately the bed was really not good, it was extremely low (no real issue with that) and the mattress was very lumpy, I did not get a lot of sleep due to being very uncomfortable, the pillows were not much better, I will definately book in again but will ensure to book the lake view rooms as this is what we had the first time and it was absolutely amazing, very comfortable bed and the pillows were fantastic great sleep was had that night.
- Monica (10/5): - excellent service
- Geoffrey (10/5): - Staff were friendly. We stayed in a basic motel room. It was a bit dated, the bed wasnt overly comfy, but everything worked and it was quiet. Had a nice dinner in the inn which is full of character. Set in the National Park, there are some lovely walks to do during your stay.
- Judith (10/5): - Very quiet relaxing stay.
- Adrian (10/5): - It was a great place to stay with plenty of kangaroos. The accommodation was clean & tidy
- Leanne (8/5): - Such a magnificent and underrated place to stay. So much to do if you enjoy wildlife and hiking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds absolutely beautiful. They just need to tidy up the grounds directly around the accommodation. Big patches in the lawn that were there last year. Uneven brick paths that go no where. A bit baffling when everywhere else has meticulously kept grounds. Highly recommended place to stay with accommodation that suits all budgets.
- Debra (8/5): - We stayed two nights in an upstairs unit. We had a beautiful view over the lake and park. Plenty of birds and kangaroos. The inn had lovely meals. And we enjoyed many of the walks in the park.
- Kim (10/5): - This was a hidden gem. Rooms were a little outdated but clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant at the Inn had a good variety of food. The surrounds of being in the National Park were lovely with lots of Kangaroos and lovely walks.
- Morag (10/5): - Lovely stay at Yanchep inn. Beautiful setting surrounded by nature. Would definitely stay there again
- Isabelle (8/5): - The uniqueness of this property is the setting in the middle of the National Park
- Jeanette (8/5): - In the National park
- Jim (10/5): - We had a lovely two days staying at Yanchep Inn. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The Inn had a great menu and all the meals we ate were delicious. We enjoyed two days walking the trails and relaxing in the National Park. It is a beautiful spot. We will definitely be back.
- Laura (8/5): - The property itself is nice, but it's very isolated if you don't have a car, and the WiFi is dodgy.
- Scott (8/5): - We brought some relatives from UK. They were especially happy with the wild Kangaroos & the lake walk & wildlife. We stayed by the lake. The rooms are a bit tired however very comfortable. Friendly staff.
- allison (8/5): - Great location right in Yanchep NP. We had a room overlooking the lake so could see the kangaroos every evening and watch sunset and sunrise.
Lovely welcome from Graham and the roast special with a large glass of wine (they even had a veggie nut roast for my hubbie) was very good value.
Room was a little tired eg carpet worn by patio door and block walls was unusual. Good room facilities- kettle, toaster, fridge, cutlery, but only small plates.
- Joanne (6/5): - Just stayed a night. Accommodation is looking tired but a lovely stay non the less. Plenty of kangaroos around and spotted 4 koala’s along the boardwalk.
- Sangay (6/5): - Good
- Janice (10/5): - It is in the national park & the kangaroos are everywhere!
- Elizabeth (4/5): - Need a update no ,ice container
Evening meal hamburgers were tasteless and tough !!!
- dot (10/5): - Celebrated my hubby birthday on sunday, stayed that night in the huge room overlooking the lake, sat on the verandah at daylight and watched the native animals, enjoyed great customer service lovely happy friendly staff and a delish breakfast ...wished we stayed longer to embrace the fantastic natural unique surroundings
- Ronald (10/5): - such a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere... highly recommended
- Damian (10/5): - Quiet
- Ronald (10/5): - awsome accommodation in the national Park
- Steven (10/5): - Lovely rural setting
- Ronald (10/5): - perths hidden gem... motel located inside yanchep national Park... wildlife everywhere... huge bar areas... great food... sunday buffet breakfast...
- David (8/5): - Lovely location in the national park. Room Pleasant, needs small amount TLC to the walls but worth a visit. Disappointed with breakfast, 4 attempts at a poached egg and 3 still had raw egg white- but staff apologised and did not charge for it- would definitely come back. Watch out for the Kookaburra who pinch food. Overall a great visit.
- W2370 (2/5): Terrible - DO NOT GO! I attended a wedding in February and the service, management and cleanliness of this place was atrocious. The manager has since attacked the bride, in his response to her review and told outright lies about what actually happened that whole weekend. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the manager.
The accommodation was filthy, so much so that one of the rooms, which small children were staying in, was infested with red back spiders and had to be cleaned from top to bottom the second night we were there. The service at the wedding was extremely poor and when the bride and family have addressed the issues with the management team, have been met with nothing short of hostility and outright lies through the review. Very very childish and unprofessional behaviour.
No doubt in my mind when he sees this review, he will probably respond with some sort of outright lie, to try to make himself feel better.
- Arlene (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay
- Shauna (10/5): - Extremely friendly staff,, Great food at a good price. Beautiful setting
Rooms were dated but it’s available very old building so to be expected
- Sangay (8/5): - It was clam and nice
- teena-maree (10/5): - A beautiful historical property. Staff great. Food delicious Grounds beautiful. Abundant wildlife and birdlife. Great walktrails. We had a wonderful couple of days.
- vincenzio (8/5): - Kangaroos everywhere
Lovely grounds
- Shane (10/5): - They're always fabulous when our family stays. Thanks guys.
- Crystal (10/5): - Pleasantly surprised by the accommodation given the star rating. Had everything we needed and more for a short stay at Yanchep national park. Had originally planned to camp, but the extreme heat led to a last minute change of mind. Bonus was TV had all major streaming services so kids were naturally stoked. We stayed in Room 14 and had a magnificent view. Yanchep inn has a great menu selection, and the tea rooms were just a short stroll away. Staff (reception and cleaning) were all super lovely and overly accommodating. Will definitely stay here again as love the national park and the multitude of activities on offer
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful location. Staff all v friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Grreat
- Teresa (8/5): - The staff here are wonderful! The accommodation could do with a really good clean and really needs updating. The room from the balcony is gorgeous and we really enjoyed the walk trails.
- Carolyn (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at the Yanchep Inn. Nice and quiet and the staff were really friendly. Will definitely stay there again
- 762rayt (4/5): Lacks Customer Service. - Decided to stop off for some food as our last leg of our trip away and hadn’t visited for many years.
Tables were not cleared, no cutlery provided despite asking several times. However, there seemed to be continued effort to clean empty tables with no guests.
Not especially busy, plenty of empty tables but food to 1 h 5 mins for kids meals and a further 10 for ours. Staff served our kids meals with a smile, manager dumped our meals on the table a marched off. Clearly the only way to eat within an hour is to get a self service carvery meal.
Food was OK but better value can be found elsewhere.
Service was terrible.
- Brian (8/5): - A nice but outdated motel room - still though a nice break and a quiet place to stay.
- Chris (10/5): - Friendly staff and great service
- Joe (10/5): - The property is on a national park, it's strange that you have to pay to enter the park even if you're staying at the hotel.
Surely that should either be in the price or free?
- Mark (6/5): - Cmon guys get those sprinklers on and tidy the weed its a national park ffs
- PinkNosedPenguin (8/5): Nice with kangaroos - Our room was fine with view of the lake (and kangaroos). Friendly English manager checked us in and we had dinner which was good. Walked around the lake, saw the koalas in the trees, and more kangaroos hopping about! No problem with NP fee as we had purchased a pass! A nice first night in WA.
- Mark (4/5): - Disgusting
- Mary (10/5): Wonderful place! - Absolutely loved it! Definitely the best bit of our trip!
- christopher (10/5): - Beautiful location, friendly staff
- Asta (10/5): - We can enjoy the beautiful environment of Yanchep National Park and its nice walks.
The hotel has all the facilities we need and the price is reasonable.
- Louise (8/5): -
there where dead flies on the window will the entire stay, they where there the day we arrived. Manager was amazing. TV was not working so they upgraded us to another room.
- Margaret (4/5): - It needs updating like livin in the 60
- Garry (10/5): - Great food and excellent service. Most enjoyable.
- Geoff (6/5): - It is situated in the midst of the National Park which is really lovely.
- Liz (8/5): - Staying in a national park is its own special kind of holiday. Its a great way to just deeply relax in nature. Very special to walk around the park at night and see the stars above. The accommodation is basic but good. I would recommend asking if you can have a room with a new bed. Book the Lake View so you have a nice little balcony with a view to a vibrant lake. The food was really good at the Yanchep Inn. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and had a drink listening to live music. I think the staff might need a little polish and a little more belief in themselves. This is a question of leadership that empowers them and believes in them. It's a great place for a break.
- E7811TLtoms (4/5): Disappointing on multiple levels - We didn’t stay overnight at this place. We came to the park for get treetop walk thing which btw is excellent. Kids love it.
The restaurant/pub/inn is very average. Start with the coffee, it took them 30 min to deliver 3 coffees that tasted like dish water. Very disappointing. The restaurant is over priced and service is bad and slow. We had to ask 3 times for someone to clear and clean our table. The staff thought it was more important to clear the tables that nobody was wanting to use rather then the one we were waiting for. So we sat and had drinks with previous customers half eaten food while waiting. Then they did an half ass job cleaning it so we still had to wipe away a bunch off salt and crumbs. Awesome.
The buffet is NOT all you can eat. You can get one plate of food and a bowl of soup for $30. The wording on the sign is misleading. The whole place is run down and dirty. The staff especially around the kitchen have smugness about them. Like they couldn't care less because they know there is no other places nearby.
I will say, the roast was ok.
Next time we know to do a coffee run on the way to the park and skip the restaurant all together. Cheers guys.
- Linda (8/5): - Staff friendly. Room clean. View fantastic. Meal in the Inn was very nice and good value for money.
- Betsy (2/5): - We recently booked two nights at Yanchep Inn for our anniversary. While the staff were friendly and the food at the restaurant was quite good, our experience with the accommodation was far from pleasant. We had opted for a budget room at $150 per night, but upon entering, it felt like we’d stepped back into the 1970s—not in a charming, heritage way, but rather in a worn-out, outdated, and neglected manner.
The bed’s mattress seemed to be from the same era, with springs poking us all night, making it impossible to get comfortable. To top it off, we found a baby cockroach on the rolled-up towels left on the bed, which were so frayed along the edges that at home, they’d either be used as rags or thrown out.
The windows didn’t close properly, and since the people next door were smoking right outside their door, which was next to our entrance, the smoke drifted into our room, leaving it reeking of cigarette smoke. Both my wife and I are non-smokers, so this made the situation even worse.
The showerhead was another issue, mounted at about 1.6 meters from the ground, which is far too low for a comfortable shower, even for someone like me who is only 1.8 meters tall.
Although it was budget accommodation, $150 per night is still quite expensive, and "budget" shouldn’t mean run-down or worse than a backpacker hostel, which would cost far less. We originally booked for two nights, but after enduring the first night, we checked out and got a refund for the second. Not recommended.
- Mark (8/5): - Room was old but clean and comfortable. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and the bar staff could pour a perfect Guinness, what more could you ask for
- Isabel (10/5): - Lovely get away in nature, nice food at the inn. The staff were more than accomodating. Always friendly. Lovely stay.
- Linda (8/5): - Lovely view from balcony window over National Park
- maheshika (8/5): - A stay inside the national park and very close to the Yanchep observatory
- 678DavidG678 (8/5): Last stop of our trip - We decided to upgrade to lake rooms. Glad we did. Property is old and a bit worn but our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. We ate in the dining room. Food plain and servings substantial. Arrived early afternoon and enjoyed a walk around the park. We would visit again. We have been touring WA for a couple of weeks and have been disappointed in the accommodation. We have paid from $120 a night to nearly $400. The dearest was surprisingly dirty compared with the cheapest...it was just newer.
- Nick (8/5): - Fun safe family environment
- Craig (10/5): - Lovely surroundings and a quaint almost heritage style hotel. Food and staff were amazing. My room was very clean and comfy. Being located in a National Park there is lots to see and do.
- Carole (8/5): - I love the park surroundings especially for birds. It would be nicer if the room was upgraded otherwise it’s is clean and functional. I stayed 2 nights hence I didn’t mind that there was no housekeeping although I saw the chambermaid cleaning the other rooms.
- Katherine (10/5): - Amazing grounds and family friendly, is a little remote withoutbany toiletries or essentials available for purchase and uber won't delivery to the location.
Will be returning solely to just stay again.
- Neville (10/5): - Staff excellent .. parking a problem for people with disability. Not enough ramps.
Excellent pub style food huge portionssurrounding grounds maintained very well.
- Debra (4/5): - Heritage listed Yanchep Inn itself is fabulous: great pub food, excellent staff. And the setting in Yanchep National Park is beautiful with abundant wildlife and a range of walking trails from 500 m to 52 km.
The accomm though was very disappointing and was in quite a state of neglect.
- Miranda (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful would highly recommend
- Mal (6/5): - Very nice old world charm. Food was very good and breakfast was excellent for the price.
Some maintenance work is required and points where raised with staff who where thankful for the feedback.
All in all a good nights stay
- Yusof (8/5): - Would be good if microwave is provided.
- sandy (8/5): On the dated side - Located in the bushland and quiet and relaxing, room on the dated side, however very spacious, clean and tiday, 5 to 10 minutes drive to yanchep shopping centre. May stay there again, found the two staff members rude and unpleasant.
- Ascent44 (6/5): Relaxing in the bushland - Hotel is in the bushland, quiet and relaxing, about a 5 to 10 minutes drive to yanchep shops. The room was dated but clean, tidy and spacious. Two of the staff on checking in were a little rude and unpleasant, so unsure if I will be staying here again
- David (8/5): - Accommodation needs updating
- Tammy (8/5): - We had a wonderful weekend including attending a Christmas in July dinner.
- Joanne (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Daniel (10/5): - A lovely venue within the national park: lovely environment - the rooms a very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful
- Jenny (10/5): - Great service and plenty of wildlife
- Chad (10/5): - Great place to stay lots of wildlife out side your room ,Kangaroos etc great old school style Tavern and restaurant very friendly staff will definitely stay there again.
- Nigel (8/5): - No
- Lee (8/5): - Gorgeous spot for an overnight stay, great food, the accommodation is old but clean, good value.
- Jill (10/5): - What a lovely escape. Perfect dining experience. The staff were absolutely amazing and the morning walk around the grounds was just beautiful. A 10/10 stay!
- Tamara (6/5): - Beautiful spot - kangaroos bouncing around the grounds
Breath taking Tudor style Inn
Accomm a little rough
Parking area for accomm could be a little uniformed
All said I was happy
Will be back for sure

Live music on sunday afternoon was very good
