- billy (4/5): - nice location next to gas station. easy to get to. front desk lady was rude. this was our second time staying due to a work trip and i got there at 7:30 the first time and they let me in. this time they said they needed to clean the room and to come back between 9:30-11. when i got back the men were gone and the older lady told me that check in at HER hotel was at 11. i explained to her that the men said to come between that time and she was extremely rude about it. she ended up giving me a 2 bed queen room after i booked a king. it was very dirty, the floors would make my daughters feet completely black, the mirror wasn’t clean, the bathroom was FILTHY. it also reeked of marijuana, in a non smoking room. definitely will not be back at this hotel. it’s okay for the pricing but not the experience

- Michael (6/5): Average at best - The main entry light in our room did not work. Not sure if the bulb was burnt out or what. I had to program the TV before it would work. Other than that, we were very satisfied with our stay.

Rooms were surprisingly spacious, 2 beds, 2 chairs and a footstool. Desk for some work, if needed. I was completely satisfied and look forward to my next stay.

- James (6/5): - From the outside the place looks horrible in total need of repair, the inside which is obviously more important was not too bad except for the fact that there were dead bugs on the floor and when I mentioned it to the office person she said “ it’s Texas what do you expect, every hotel has bugs “ well that response really pissed me off so naturally I want everyone to know!

- Glenn (10/5): Will be Back - Great place to stay if you need a clean restroom and bed. Will not be my last time here. Only "negative" I would have is the bed needed a comforter. Had a Summer comforter, but AC blowing...would have slept better with a reg comforter.
- Ana (2/5): - The staff was nice but the property was terrible, got our key, walked into the room and walked back out!!! A couple of dead bugs on the floor, sheets on bed looked like they hadn't been changed after previous guest! We turned in the key and left. The place was run down, dirty and the room next to us had a group of men that were hanging outside the room and making offensive sexual comments when they thought we wouldn't understand the language. Didn't feel safe staying there, very disgusted.

- Jeff (4/5): OK, but wouldn't stay again - The check-in was super easy, love that you can park right by your room. We had an OK stay, but the worse part was someone turned on a tv at like 10:30 PM and had it on until 1:30 AM, so we didn't get to sleep until after that time because the TV was so loud! Beds were OK, not super comfortable, but they were descent for the price ($80). The towels to use after showering are super small - would be nice if they were regular size bath towels. And there were only 2, also only 3 pillows on a queen size bed. Typical queen bed - 4 pillows on each bed.
- Jerry (2/5): Ugh! - I am on the road 26 weeks a year and stay in a lot of hotels. This was rated I think at eight stars even though it was very inexpensive. The carpeting was awful and the walls were disgusting. I think the sheets had been cleaned, but they were stained. The door had been broken into, and the casing had been cut out and replaced where they tried to replace the slide lock. Quite possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed, and I don’t say that lightly. Do not believe the high rating, it is a dump and Hotels.com should be embarrassed to have it listed in their offerings.

- Jennifer (10/5): - This little motel was a very nice stay for the money. It is convenient to the highway and the staff is very friendly. It is a bit outdated, but it gets the job done while traveling on a budget. Would stay again
- Morgan (2/5): - The doorframe entering the room was cracked all the way down and you could tell it had been broken into before. There was a replacement chain lock but it didn’t feel stable. There was hair all over the tub and the walls were filthy with who knows what but looked like gunk smeared on walls in places. My bar of soap was already torn open. The pillows provided were lumpy and flimsy. I called for more pillows but they wanted me to leave my room and come all the way up to the front of the property to get them. They placed me a woman traveling alone in the farthest building possible at the back of the property near the woods. There was all kind of noise all night outside my room. People talking, people driving by the building with loud music. The furniture was stained and worn down and I was scared to touch anything. I would not recommend this place at all! It was overall not a very good experience. If you want to get good rest in a comfortable, clean, quiet environment THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.

My view out of my window was a construction trailer and construction yard. To say the least I was not impressed. LaQuinta across the highway was much much nicer.

I wouldn’t stay for an extended time, but passing through or need an inexpensive room for the night/weekend, and I would stop here again! Pet friendly, non smoking, easy to get to,and was able to get a room fast at 2am 👌🏻👍🏻

- jadeh379 (8/5): Nice hotel - I’ve been staying at this hotel for 25 years when I come to hunt. It’s family owned and the owners are very friendly and kind. It’s pet friendly, clean rooms, and close to the highway. They have coffee makers in your room so you don’t have to make a trip in the morning. There is a mom and pop store located on the property so you can grab snacks and homemade treats. Overall it’s a nice little place to stay!

If your looking for a pet friendly place like I was, this is the place to go. I would stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful. Ice machine available and donuts and coffee in the morning.
- rafaelmN1309BH (8/5): Texas vacation - Not a bad hotel for $50. The rooms where very clean and the front desk clerk was friendly. It’s nice to be able to park right in front of your room and carry in your luggage. Just remember to ask for more bath towels and wash cloths.
- 631bentons (10/5): Good room at a great price. - I stayed here the first week while working as a contractor in a local business. Great price and a really quiet, comfortable room. I liked it so I've stayed here each week and I recommend this place if you need an inexpensive room for one day or 8 weeks like me. I've always slept well here and never had a problem during my stays. Family run business and they work very hard to make your stay comfortable. I cannot say enough how nice, polite, and helpful they are. It's nice to spend your money at an establishment that works hard to earn it.

This super clean motel has nice, modern rooms with plenty of amenities, including fridge, microwave, well-supplied coffee maker, desk and table comfy chairs.. Basically everything you hope to find, and often don't get these days, in motel chains with more modern exteriors. The price is great, too, even if you have pets! They are very pet friendly here, as well as friendly in general. Pizza Hut delivers, and the is a Love's Travel Stop with a Burger King right across the street. Right next to the motel, without having to cross a street, is a local treat, Coopers Farm Store, filled with fabulous treats to appease even the most discerning Sweet Tooth folks! (I also recommend their own peach wine, which you can bring back to your motel room, chill it in your fridge, and enjoy it while watching HBO.) Again, I highly recommend the Budget Inn in Fairfield! Great value for the dollar, plenty of amenities, including wi-fi and GREAT air conditioning! It's July in Texas, so it's wonderful to have an AC unit that actually works well, with cool, refreshing air to soothe the weary, too warm traveler :)

We had an amazing time. It was quiet , the A/C gets cold fast, and we ate at the Burger King across the street.

Full size ironing board. Very affordable and still a nice room. Centrally located right off the highway. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
- michelewillard2016 (10/5): Great room....friendly staff..allows pets....and super quiet! - My husband and I were in town for a family gathering. .originally booked a room at the Super 8 but upon arrival, found out they changed their pet policy. So glad we chose the Budget Inn...from the minute we arrived, we were treated like their only guest and top priority! $15.00 for our dog for three nights...the room was around 60.00 with tax. Comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff and SO very quiet! Free WiFi and cable... Will definitely come back. : )
- valeriew29 (10/5): Great price and great place! - We are used to staying at La Quinta's but wanted to save money for our vacation so we chose this place based on reviews. First off the lady at the front desk is super nice and welcoming, the lobby and outside of the building is very clean and neat, when we got to the room it was very hot so we turned on the air conditioner immediately, the room was very clean and the sheets look, feel and smell clean. The room cooled off pretty quickly and the bathroom is very clean! We weren't able to connect to the wifi bc the password was incorrect and after a call to the front desk we still weren't able to get it figured out but we weren't too worried about wifi anyways. This is a little older place but it has been very well cared for, for example the paint inside and out is newer looking and everything is just so fresh and clean! We were very happy with our stay here and would definitely stay here again!

- Constantforce (6/5): You get what you pay for.... - If you are just looking for a bed for the night, the price is pretty right. For a double bed room, we paid $60 plus tax (which totaled $67.00). We checked in around 9 PM and were out within twelve hours. The size of the room was very adequate. The main room had two beds. The decor was a drab- definitely a need for some updating. The rooms were clean, just old. The furniture in the room was beaten up with many dents. There was a mini-fridge in the room that was in good working order. The television had some spotty reception. We were far away from the lobby- so we assumed that contributed to the spotty wifi. For the most part, we were able to have wifi access though. The bathroom would be my major complaint. The shower had good water pressure, but felt very cramped. The toliet had a broken lid, but the seat was fine and it was clean. The shower curtain had a couple sketchy spots, not huge- but definitely enough to make me not stay too long. Location-wise, it was very easy to find off of I-45. There is a Love's Gas Station across the street with a Burger King attached. It was a nice supplement to the continental breakfast of Honey Buns and Coffee. There is also Peaches Farm Gas Station. This was a major plus. The people working the front desk were great. Very quick to check us in and out.

A friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed. The WiFi didn't work at first but the desk clerk was quick to fix it and didn't have a problem afterwards.
- Deb3515 (6/5): You get what you pay for - It's what you would expect for the price. There were no problems with the room that I could tell. We were traveling and needed a place to sleep on the way to Galveston. As we checked in at 1 am and out at 8 am all we did was sleep and leave. The area was a little scary, but there were no problems. Our room was located at the back of the property. As we were putting our things in the car a man next door to our unit was standing outside smoking and drinking beer....at 7:45 am. The breakfast was average and we really had no contact with the staff so I can't say if they were friendly or not. I don't think that I would stay there again.
- cbpilotcars (8/5): For a Basic older Hotel it's good - For basic older hotel that's across from truck stop its really not that bad. It was clean and comfy. Bathroom is very small and wish door had opened from the outside to give more room. Tile and carpet looked clean even around the edges. Nothing great or fancy here. The taxes here are expensive $42.00 + Tax $51.00 Total cost if you pay when u check in. Front desk guy was very nice. Would stay here again if here for work. Saves you about $23.00 from staying at the Super 8 or Days Inn close by. Flat screen TV was a plus. Also had mini fridge . Parking lot was quiet no people walking around lighting was good enough to feel safe. Truck stop is next door but with the AC running I never heard any trucks. This is a basic clean budget hotel. If price was 45 including tax I would have been very happy.
- lexy2020 (6/5): Not a pleasant stay... - I'm not one to over exaggerate but when I got to my room I got locked in and my mother in law got locked out. The keys didn't work. Then we noticed the shampoo/conditioner packets where dried out and hard as rocks. When we traveled over 250 miles we'd hoped to get some rest..well no! Its right next to a Loves truck stop so trucks going by all through the night so loud. Then if that wasn't bad the pillows were hard as rocks as well, flat and there was only 2 of them! So I wouldn't recommend this place if you traveled a long way and need some good rest.
