Guest Reviews
- Craig (10/5): Very clean and comfortable rooms! - The manager of this motel obviously takes pride in their work. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable, more than I can sometimes say about places twice the price. A/C was strong, no problems. There's also a good Mexican restaurant in the parking lot and a nice grocery store market just down the road.
- brad (10/5): - The personal attention from the owner
He is great
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nope - This motel is old, run down, and had shady people in the parking lot. After pulling into parking lot, did not stay, went on down the road
- Rafael (10/5): - Isolated but closed to highway great customer service and serves the purpose and affordable....
- Jim (10/5): - Convenience
- Alida (6/5): - Our stay was for just a few hours of rest and return to our travels. The bed was comfortable.
- Kathy (10/5): - Wonderful staff, very friendly, The room was welcoming, clean and good set-up.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Warm welcome - The owner greeted us, walked us over to our room, showed us around, made sure we knew which light switchsd were for which lights, and welcomed us like honored guests.
- Nathan (10/5): Clean quiet comfortable - Great value for a clean, quiet, comfortable room. No frills but very clean and the beds were comfortable.
I recommend and will stay there again when in the area.
Owner goes over and above to ensure things are right for you.
- Shad (6/5): Hard working owner - Gentleman who owned this was constantly moving around taking care of things. Very accommodating. I wasn't crazy about paying $100 for a run down hotel with tiny TV's. Not a terribly safe area, felt a bit ghetto. He did his best to make us feel comfortable though.
- Rosie (8/5): - The manager/owner was very welcoming. It's an older motel but very clean and we were treated so kindly.
- Logan (8/5): - Nice and clean little motel. Owner is super nice. Everything was very clean and in good shape.
- Austin (10/5): - Immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Right off the freeway and super convenient
- George (4/5): - Old room
- Matthew (10/5): - Very clean. Super friendly.
- Chang Hun (10/5): - The owner personally greeted us warmly and provided friendly guidance throughout our stay. It made a wonderful difference!
- Eugene (10/5): - A clean, comfortable place to stay if you’re passing through the area.
- Daniel (2/5): - All I’m trying to do is reserve a hotel and I can’t view what I just reserved.
- Jenice (10/5): - Older facility but well kept and very clean
- Linda (4/5): - The appeared clean, but the whole area was creepy.
- Ronald (4/5): - Shabby interior. Completely run down.
- Douglas (8/5): - We're all just dogs in Gods hot car.
- Sheryl (8/5): - The manager is a very nice man and very helpful. While the facility is older, we enjoyed the stay.
- Chris (8/5): - Nice clean place no complaints on room or staff
- Larry (8/5): - This was our second stay at this location. Great value.
- James (10/5): - very quaint
- Ron (10/5): Great value - A bit of a blast from the past, with 1960s/70s decor and a slightly tired feel. But perfectly clean, in good repair and comfortable. Strong recommendation.
- Russell (8/5): - The property has been owned by the same gentleman for 18yrs. He walked us to our room and briefed on what we needed to know about the room. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant next door. This a good way station if you need to stop.
- Cindy (10/5): - This is an older place, a step back in time, but our beds were clean and comfortable! My husband said that was the best sleep he has had in over 3 weeks on the road.
- Robert (6/5): - The manager was very nice and accommodating. He offerred us a ground floor room when my wife was disappointed at first.
- James (8/5): - It was a great value for what we needed. We were looking for a simple place for a quick overnight stay. Didnt need/want to pay for a bunch of amenities that we were not going to use. This place was perfect for our needs. The host went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel welcome and safe. Yes, it is an older property...however, very well kept. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 5 stars! - After reading the previous reviews we were eager to try the Longhorn for ourselves! It was just as said! The service was great and although it is an older property everything was clean and we had what we needed!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hot showers, comfortable bed, reasonably clean but not updated rooms, and super nice hotel owner. Humble but we will stay here again.
- Kelly (8/5): - While the hotel was more dated than a Montgomery Wards, the inn keeper greeted us warmly and the room was clean. I felt it was a good value and would stay here again.
- Cheri (10/5): - This motel was older and not fancy, but it was easy to access, quiet, clean, kind service, and was close to a small general store where we could buy almost anything needed.
- Tom (10/5): - Nice comfortable bed. The room was clean . Also easy on and off I 70.
- Anne (6/5): - The owner is very friendly and helpful, and very nice. The property is extremely old, and when we first drove up, I thought :" is this really the place we are going to stay?". It is clean in the room but very outdated, and the property overall looks like it hasn't had repairs in 30 years. But it is much much less expensive than anything around Denver area, so that's a plus.
- Mark (10/5): Just right - Look, this is an old property, so don't expect anything new. BUT, it's clean, it's cheap, and most of all, friendly. As others have stated, the owner is the best. Super friendly and accommodating. This is exactly what I needed, an affordable night's rest on a long road trip.
- April (8/5): - This was a great place to stop and spend the night. Convenient location. Room was comfortable and clean.
- Hugo (10/5): - Good place
- Amanda (10/5): - The owner was so nice! It was well lit but quiet and right off the highway. Beds were super comfy and the room was huge and clean. Will definitely be staying here again.
- Stephanie (2/5): - Front desk attendent was not very friendly and the cost far exceeds the actual quality of the room. It is not family friendly, they charge an additional fee for children. Site should include a disclaimer before booking that children are considered adults and are charged additionally. If that had been the case i would have never booked a stay here. But its the fact that they state children are welcome and then charge extra that makes it feel a bit like price gouging.
- Matthew (10/5): - Very nice family owned place. Owner greeted us and walked us to our room.
- Larry (8/5): - Nice room with a great price.
- Wade (8/5): - The owner of the property was very friendly and helpful immediately upon my arrival. Showed me to my room, where the light switches were and even pointed out that the doorknob on the outside is always locked.
- Terri (6/5): - Nice man running the place,, it was a 100$ motel so you get what you pay for.
- Carleton (8/5): - Owner/Manager was very respectful and responded to our needs IMMEDIATELY (e.g., extra towels, questions about local restaurant options, local grocery store), and was a Captain in Korean Army before immigrating to USA 31 years ago. Fascinating person. Property was built decades ago and nostalgic, clean and great room for the price for sure. I would stay there again.
- Ryan (8/5): - Friendly owner. Clean.
- Jenifer (10/5): - Owner was friendly, very large and clean room, easy on/off high way!!! Nothing bad to say. We got in late and the local rest next door was closed. Super friendly and told us where another place was open!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old-school motel, friendly owner.
- Charles (10/5): - Quiet and comfortable staff was friendly
- Barbara (10/5): - the people are very nice
- Edein Blas (8/5): - So good
- Brandon (10/5): Great place - Not brand new, but a great place for the money. Very clean, super friendly staff. I'll be staying here again.
- Andre (10/5): - Simple and clean. Manager was very friendly and welcoming. My brother left his cell phone and he was so polite to call us as quickly as possible so I could drive back and retrieve it.
- Sandra (8/5): - Nice enough for the rate. Hospitable management. Roomy with comfortable bed. Would stay there again if I needed to
- Michele (10/5): - The owner/manager of the hotel was so friendly, efficient, and helpful. He checked me in quickly and then told me to get in my car and follow him around to where my room would be and carried my suitcase upstairs to the room! While I've come to expect this kind of service in most hotels in Asia, (and he is Asian- South Korean)- it is definitely above and beyond for a budget motel in the US and really made my day! The place is old and no-frills, but very clean and comfortable, and the room is more spacious than I'd imagined. There is a Mexican restaurant next door and a small grocery store a two minute walk away, so even though this is a rural area, just off the interstate, it's very convenient. I'd definitely stay here again if I was to pass through this way, and highly recommend to anyone who just wants a clean, safe place to sleep.
- Duke (8/5): - An older motel, updated somewhat. Some funky homemade furniture but quite serviceable. Kind of pricey for the age and middle of nowhere. Cheerful desk person. They are trying hard. :-)
- Curtis (10/5): - The outside of the property is certainly showing its age but the room was clean, comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful.
- Scott (8/5): Satisfied - The motel is an older motel and the amenities are not up to date, however, the place was kept in good condition and I left satisfied.
- John (10/5): - Clean and friendly
- Kiana (10/5): Clean motel. - A very clean older property. I usually stay here 1-2 times a year. Everything is always clean and Yan is very accommodating when I have to check in late.
- tyson (10/5): - Great cheap stay. Rooms were clean.
- Leeann (10/5): - The owner/manager was very kind and helpful. I think some fresh brewed coffee in morning would be very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful nights sleep
- Erik (10/5): - The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to get us settled into the room. Great service!
Property is dated, but very clean. This was the last hotel we stayed in on our 7 day cross country road trip, and the beds were the most comfortable, including the big name chain hotels we stayed in!
- mark (10/5): - Property was clean and quiet. Owner/manager very pleasant.
- Eugene (10/5): - Good place to stay if you're passing through.
- Susan (10/5): An absolute gem - This is a surprising gem. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. : ) you can tell the owner takes pride 8n his hotel. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. We woukd absolutely come here agaun.. Bonus: there is a good mexican restaurant next door. Thete is also a small store near the restaurant, and all this is out in the country. We were delighted with all of it!
- Earle (8/5): - Older property with older furnishings, but it is well cleaned, bed comfortable, good shower, adequate air conditioner. A good value for the price
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good stay - It was a very clean motel. Definitely older, but very clean.
- ROBIN (10/5): Great service on I-70 - Our quick overnight stay was great! The owner brought us to the room and explained how the heat worked and where the light switches were. He went above and beyond for the cost. The bonus was a terrific Mexican restaurant right next door! Perfect and very comfortable for an older motel. Also very clean!
- Theodore (10/5): - Friendly owner, clean room, right off I-70…what more could you ask for?!
- Michelle L (8/5): Nice - Simple but nice little motel, clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the TV sound wouldn’t turn down, so we had to turn it off, so it wouldn’t blast through the walls. The owner was very nice, and his friendliness really helped.
- Tom (8/5): - This has a 60s feel, the staff were great, they keep the rooms clean.
- Edvin (6/5): - Poor air conditioning morning coffee was instant
- Marijka (10/5): - Great place nice people
- Barbara (10/5): - Comfy bed, very pleasant staff, good value.
- Ashley (10/5): - The service was incredible. I would go back in a heartbeat!
- Nicolas (2/5): - Maybe the worst hotel in the state of Colorado. Air conditioning doesn't work, beds feel like wooden slats, and th
- Walter (8/5): - The owner guided us to our room and proceeded to show us how to remotely use the air conditioning and lighting in bathroom. Mexican restaurant on premises was very good.
- Francisco (8/5): - It was okay, we stay there for a family party, easy parking.
- SUSAN (6/5): Sweet staff but very outdated motel. - The proprietor was very sweet and the staff was very nice. The rooms seemed clean, and had no smell.
That said, the motel didn’t look like it had been updated since the sixties. We had paid for two nights, and chose not to stay the second night because the ancient air conditioner was so loud that my husband couldn’t sleep, there were very few power outlets in the room and were oddly placed, made using my cpap and charging our phones and watches difficult and the toilets were so low we had trouble getting on and off them (Of course, we are tall and a bit older) This choice would probably be best if you needed a cheap place to sleep on a long car trip. The nearest breakfast we found is 5 miles away in Strasburg.
- Veda (10/5): - 3 families traveling together and hotel went above and beyond for us.
- Ralph (6/5): - Although room was very clean, this is an old property that has seen better days. Nothing had been updated since the 1990s and there were numerous outlets that didn’t work, veneers on furniture had lifted from heat and humidity, wi-fi was almost nonexistent, etc.
- Jeff (8/5): - Clean but very tired (dated). Overall, a good value
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best motel ever - The owner was one of the kindest people I have ever meant. He walked me to my parking spot with a flashlight as it was late and I drive an oversized vehicle. He even Carie’s my luggage up to the room for me. Beds were very comfy. Truly the best s***hole motel I’ve ever stayed!
- Mercedes (8/5): - The motel is dated, but it is very clean. There are not any fancy amenities, but if you’re looking for a clean place to stay during your visit. I would recommend this place. It was a good stay.
- Zoltan (10/5): - A little hole in the wall hotel, but super clean. The owner is friendly and helpful both times we've been there. No complaints 👌
- Donna (2/5): - The air conditioning did not work. Power outage. Room very muggy. Both my husand and I came home sick. Room #118.
- Joseph (10/5): Great stay - Great little motel! Clean and very quiet yet awesome Mexican restaurant and store next door. Owner checked me in personally and vert kind + professional. Will definitely stay there again!
- Andrea (4/5): - We found food and hair on our bedding, a mouse trap under the sink and an insect on the table. We were unexpectedly asked to pay an extra fee because my 14 year old was considered an "adult". No coffee pot or machine anywhere. I've stayed at much better budget hotels for better prices.
- Adam (10/5): A clean and quiet stay. Super nice owner. - We were very happy here. The owner was such a nice man. You can tell he works hard to make his guests comfortable. He even turned the heater on in our room before we got there. It is an older place, but it was very comfortable. The bedspreads and sheets felt very clean and very soft, and we all slept well. It was very quiet. One of the best things about the motel was that we could park directly in front of our door. With a whole family's worth of travel stuff, it was so nice to only have to carry it literally six feet from the car. In the morning, the owner personally met us at our truck to take our keys and wished us well on our travels. A perfect stay in our opinion.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for a night stop. - Older motel. Clean room and comfortable bed. Unlocking the door took a minute. Could have used better lighting in the room.
- Hector (10/5): - Great little motel right off highway 70! Very clean and the owner is very kind!
- Daniel (8/5): - Everything was fine. Ordered from phone in parking lot & owner had our info when i went in door & it was late. Waa clean & comfortable
- April (8/5): - Everything was fine. Room was nothing special but priced well and clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful.
- George (10/5): Peace nights rest - This is a great place to stay and get some good sleep! Nice and Quiet location that is a little bit older, however very clean and great customer service. I have no complaints about our stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super friendly, kind, and helpful owner! - The owner so was friendly and helpful. We arrived late on a snowy day. Seeing that we had kids, he went in and turned up the heater in our room to make sure it was nice and warm upon arrival. The following morning, as I was trying to defrost my car, he came out and used a large broom to help me get all of the snow off of the roof and windshield. The room was basic, but clean. Would absolutely stay here again if I was passing through the area and needed a place.
- JANET (10/5): - Very clean. Was in a blizzard and owner made sure heat was on the room was warm. Shower was great. He even brushes the snow off our truck. Very nice man.
- Vickie (10/5): - Very nice host
