Window screen was filthy and window glass was just as bad. Air conditioning did not work (thus the need to open window). Bed did not include a mattress pad, only a fitted sheet. Mattress was ultra soft. One positive: No bedbugs.

Downtown location close to historic district with bars, restaurants, etc. Very nice bed, by best nights sleep the entire trip. Breakfast a la carte, not bad. Could not open the windows. Breakfast in bar area; this was a large, cold space with no character.

- ashleysH4403AX (8/5): Fantastic! - The hotel is beautiful and the staff was attentive and friendly. We were there for a dance competition that was on-site. The restaurant/bar was understraffed but they really tried to provide great service. The food was okay at best. My only complaint was the price of breakfast. It was your standard hotel buffet and it was $20 pp! I could justify that for a cooked to order breakfast, but it should have been priced at no more than $10. Overall great place! I'd go back at eat at Dunkin! :)

The bartender Miguel was awesome. - Breakfast was nice, a little cool but that was our fault because we should have gone down earlier. Not much to do in Poughkeepski on a Monday and Tuesday but again that was our fault. We were able to drive to Rhinebeck though and that was great and not far away to drive to.

Great choice of hotel, for me No swimming pool onsite

Having two different elevators one for the hotel and another for the parking. That made it a little confusing to access the car.

- Raymond (1/5): Awful. Would rather drive 3 hours back home in that snow storm, which we ended up doing! - When we got to our room the temperature was 62 degrees. We set the temp to 75…Mind you, it was December 26th and getting a huge snow storm. We were going to a show at the convention center, before the show we went down to the restaurant to get some food. Service was awful!! Only one person bartending and waiting on the tables. We were the first people to get seated since they just opened for the night. We were there for two hours, no one asking us if we wanted another drink, no one checking on us to see if we needed anything. It took them 50 minutes to get us our check when going up to ask for it. We finally leave and head up to our room (the show got canceled due to the snow storm) and the temperature was still at 62 and blowing cold air. I called down to the front desk, immediately get put on hold. I was on hold for 15 minutes, hung up and called back. They answered and tried putting me on hold again. Finally, the gentleman said he would send someone up to look at the furnace. I asked when would they be up and he said “i don’t know” and hung up. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. Walked down stairs and he said he would send someone up right now for us…30 minutes later nothing. I walked back down and demanded another room. They gave us another room..only for it to be even colder! 55 degrees, blowing cold air and the temperature was already set to 77! We decided to leave, as we were in the elevator a gentleman got on. I asked him if his room had heat and he said no. The gentleman in the lobby said we will get a refund and I asked for a paper conformation that we would be getting a refund. He stated they don’t do paper copies, only emails. A hour after we left we still didn’t get an email. Called the next morning to find out he never checked us out and our card was charged $285 and not $133 which was the room rate. I kept calling and they kept sending me to the managers line, he would never answer. We did just receive a full refund but no one would call me back. No heat, furnace was tore apart in our room

The room was spacious and clean. Parking in the indoor lot which worked well with the snow storm we had So disappointed that breakfast was 19.99 a person for a meal that is complimentary in most hotels. With a Dunkin’ across the street, thats where we went for less than 1/2 the price

Also, I had to let the shower run for a while in order to get hot water! In addition, I had late check out but my card became deactivated before I could actually check out. After visiting the front desk I was assured that my card would work. I went all the way back upstairs AND MY KEYCARD STILL DID NOT WORK!

- Jan (2/5): Feueralarm schlecht abgearbeitet - Lage für die Durchreise gut. Fußläufig innerhalb der Stadt einige Restaurants Personal beim Check-In sehr freundlich. Sehr früh am Morgen (ca. 05:00) dann Feueralarm. Bei der Evakuierung hat das Hotel-Personal keine gute Figur gemacht. Beim Gang durch das Treppenhaus drängelte er sich unfreundlich vorbei ("shit shit shit") und wir mussten längere Zeit vor dem Hotel in der Kälte ausharren. Die meisten Gäste haben das Hotel schnell verlassen und sich nicht noch warm angezogen. Es gab keine wärmenden Decken, einen warmen Aufenthaltsort oder Information, was/wann passiert ist. Nach dem Alarm war an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken, so dass wir deutlich früher auscheckten. Beim Auschecken dann kein Wort des Personals oder gar einen Preisnachlass. Stattdessen kurz darauf eine automatisierte zynisch klingende Mail "Wir hoffen, Sie hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt" -> NEIN. Den hatten wir nicht.

- 138maryssab (2/5): Horrible wedding experience as a guest - I recently attended a wedding at this venue. I had the honor of also styling the hair for the wedding party. When I first arrived at 6:30am to start the hair I walked in and thought the place looked beautiful. The makeup artist was waiting at the front desk. There seemed to be some major confusion about where the bride was getting ready. I over heard the bride speaking on the phone to the front desk receptionist and I heard him say we have your rooms reserved for tomorrow. I heard the bride very flustered say no my wedding is today, the guy at the front desk didn't seem like he knew what he was doing or what was going. We stood around and waited a while for them to sort this out. While doing hair I overheard multiple people call the mother of the bride complaining about their rooms as they arrived. People were saying they didn't have hot water and the toilets wouldn't flush. I honestly felt so bad for the mother of the bride having to deal with this while trying to enjoy getting ready with her daughter. Fast forward to the wedding... Cocktail hour seemed extremely disorganized. Arriving into the room it didn't even seem ready. They were still putting food out and the bartender was still setting up. Also not to mention there was only one bartender the entire evening for a wedding of about 130 people. The person in front of me asked for the bride and groom's signature cocktail and I heard the bartender say they didn't have the ingredients. None of the food was out so as they put it out people went right over and got what was there so they ran out quickly, they also never replenished any of the food. I noticed there was also sternos that were lit and never had any food put in them. They had a carving station that wasn't put out until half way through cocktail hour. And there was a shortage on plates, at one point I went up to one of the workers and asked if there was more plates because everyone was walking around looking them. Let me also mention this was the only event going on that evening so in my opinion there was no excuse for only having 1 bartender, running out of food and not having plates. There was never an announcement that it was time to go into the reception room so no one really knew what was going on, the reception seemed to start late because of that. Once in the reception room we went to the bar to try to beat the line, the bartender had to transfer all the alcohol from the cocktail hour room. He told us the bar wasn't going to be open till after the first dances. When they served dinner that also was very disorganized. I noticed some people got served dinner while others did not for a long time after. They started serving dessert trays to tables that never even got their dinners yet. I honestly feel so bad for these people. You work so hard and spend so much money on your wedding day to try and make sure your day goes perfect as possible. This venue failed these people terribly, I hope they will be compensated in some kind of way. I would never recommend this venue to anyone.

- donnacV3127EO (6/5): Very surprised at so many issues for a Hilton film - I very recently attended my goddaughter‘s wedding at this location. First, I will say that the renovation that was done to the hotel came out beautiful and most of the staff were helpful. But I would have to say I would probably not recommend this venue for a wedding. To start off the cocktail hour there one person at the bar for 120 people the line was at least 35 or 40 people long the whole hour. The timing of the food was way off. The carving station and one of the other stations didn’t even have food out till almost 530 which was a half hour late. This meant that the four chafing dishes that they did have out ran out of very quickly, and they refused to replenish this food. When the carving station finally did open 10 minutes into that they ran out of plates and then ran out of silverware, people were standing there hungry waiting for food. Just not what you would expect from such a big name at all. At the reception, our table and the table next to us never even got champagne for a toast. I also noticed that the parents of the brides table didn’t get served the pasta first course they got completely skipped over until it was brought to their attention. A half hour after dinner was served and we had been on the Dancefloor for a while, we came back to all our dirty dishes with half eaten food still on the table which I myself started to clear until someone came over and started to help. The final thing was that the cake had disappeared more than a half hour before the wedding ended. The DJ stopped playing(wedding over) and then they started walking out to serve cake! It was almost as if they had never done a wedding before….a little crazy to me! I would have been upset if this was my daughter‘s wedding. I hope some type of compensation has been made for all these mishaps that I feel just shouldn’t have taken place at a Hilton owned property! Sincerely Donna C. 11/23/25

- buddyholly8 (4/5): DON'T Go!!!!! - Where do I start? No hot water, for days, no housekeeping for first three days ( I'm still here, so here's hoping), less than nice staff to downright rude, can't control the heat without calling maintenance because the whole front has to be taken off the blower unit, and all in an extremely sketchy neighborhood. Yes, when I talk to the front desk they send help, but really, having to call down multiple times is just not acceptable. It's adjacent to the convention center, but there is NOTHING within walking distance except empty storefronts and desolation. The room is totally acceptable, but when you're here for a week, that's just not enough. There are MUCH nicer areas just a few miles away with many national hotel brands. When my relative told me there was a downtown Hilton, I thought it would be a no-brainer. Either Hilton has totally gone down the drain, or this is a blemish on its repertoire.

- Jenkinson (8/5): Very nice place with easy access to 9G. Professional staff and very clean. - Very clean and presentable. Very friendly staff. I would stay here again. Bar staff friendly as I needed a cold beer after a long drive. Property stands out in the middle of Poughkeepsie with a nice view from the room we had on the 8th floor. Clean sharp looking bathroom. Beds were more comfortable than many I have slept in as I’m a fickle sleeper. Coffee wasn’t available till 7:30. Had to walk to Dunkin Donuts around the corner at 6:00 am when it opened to get a coffee. Was getting hustled by a homeless person to buy him coffee from the moment I walked into Dunkin’s as he followed me in. Harmless enough but just something at 6:00 AM with no coffee in you to deal with right off was a little annoying. Couldn’t get the heat turned on (someone else mentioned this as well in an earlier comment as they said the heat wasn’t on yet) wasn’t freezing as we like it cool. Staff offered to send someone up to fix it but it was late and wanted to crash. As I said besides the coffee and heat, very nice place
