Guest Reviews
- Christopher (8/5): Charming, peaceful inn with friendly staff - Charming, family-run hotel in a quiet little valley. Great rooms, delicious breakfasts, friendly staff. 15 minute walk to Apollonia, an hour hike on the islands trails to lovely beaches.
- Duncan (8/5): Enjoyable and hospitable. - The hosts are really friendly and hospitable.
The rooms were comfortable, clean and nicely styled.
Breakfast is generous and includes some lovely homemade and local items.
The pool area is calm, secluded with nice little bar.
Central location is ideal for exploring the island and walkable to Apollonia.
- Sint (9/5): - Peaceful and quiet, with very cozy and beautiful rooms, this hotel is on exactly the right place for Sifnos’ road trips as well as staying in and enjoying your days off.
- THIERRY (10/5): - Tout Rien
- Jan (4/5): Way too expensive for what you got, - Quiet, had a nice pool area, owner very nice Location, by bus very poor signage , way too far from central, inconvenient to walk to
Rooms (some were way to small) you had to walk into shower area and close door just to have a pee, beds very hard, like you’re sleeping on a concrete slab, and breakfast, well, average at best! Not good - staff could be a little more cheerful 🧐
- Piet (8/5): Fijne plek op een prachtig eiland - Sfeervolle plek vlak bij appolonia. Klein zwembad
- Amanda (10/5): We loved Andromeda and found it peaceful. We felt so relaxed and found the staff helpful and kind. Loved the homemade br - Charming property. Lovely quiet location just a 20 minute walk into Apollonia. Staff were friendly and breakfast delicious. There is also a pool and bar. N/A

- Panagiotis (8/5): - Good location! Easy access to Apollonia and the beaches! Friendly staff! WiFi only at common areas! And maybe doesn’t work either! The pool that advertises is closed and not mentioned before with a message! The have put a temporary pool in the garden!
- Rebecca (7/5): - Very nice staff and delicious breakfast where a lot of ingredients come from their garden. This is a unique and special property in a beautiful setting. The wifi signal did not reach my room so I had ti stay outside until very late at night if I needed to talk to anyone on the phone.
The heating and cooling system was very old and loud at night.
I did not get the double room that the pictures showed, but was still ok with my room.
- amanda (10/5): The atmosphere and the people were so warm friendly and helpful. - Location and the quietness so relaxing The steep hill to access property
Rien
- Aletta (8/5): Cosy, beautiful nurturing environment in the middle of Sifnos - We loved the authenticity, textures and cosy atmosphere of Andromeda. With the pool and nestled amongst the old trees, it provided plenty of shade and protection against the sun. The very good breakfast, service bar that stays open until 10 pm and attentive staff, is a wonderful bonus for guests. Loved it all... but need a car to access the beaches sights and wonderful food of Sifnos
- Camilla (10/5): Exceptional - Nice atmosphere and delicious breakfast
- Angus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sinead (10/5): Beautiful boutique resort is stunning Sifnos - We loved this peaceful small resort, the pool was incredible and the staff, especially Andriana & Luca, were wonderful. Small things like the games & books in the common area were great
- Cypriotragnar (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great stay.A paradise in the middle of exampela!
- Marie (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very friendly, the hotel is gorgeous and relaxing. Pool is perfect, and the outdoo -
- Grace (8/5): Beautiful and secluded. - Beautiful and large room with comfy bed (is a harder mattress but we liked that). Super private in a valley. Breakfast included is tasty with good options. Staff were so helpful and always on hand. Lovely pool area with books and board games. Bus stops on the road outside the property but walkable into town (about 1km). Terrible water pressure. If others were using the showers or filling the pool the room had no water. Only 4 sunbeds so a couple of days there were not enough if another group were around the pool.
- Micheil (1/5): Not as advertised! Buyer beware. - Absolutely nothing, Andromeda was not as advertised, not even a little.
Start with location, although tight narrow roads are to be expected this stay is packed into a valley off a main road which has everything including the sunsets out of sight.
The cleanliness was very bad, from the mirky debris filled water of the pool to the bar toilet then carried on into the rooms, which included plenty of insects.
The rooms sheets hadn’t been changed in a while and showed with stains and smell.
The furnishings were that of the 80s and were out dated and slapped into the rooms, even the kitchen fan was plumbed out a hole in the near window. All photos have been taken from clearly years ago.
Next the wifi was so bad we couldn’t even trust having my teens be safe while we went to get groceries. In fact our room was a complete dead zone and the pool area was in and out every 10min or so.
After experiencing all this we asked the owner directly via booking.com messaging for a refund to find another stay in which he refused and kept every cent of our pre payment and tried to argue and make us sound like we weren’t seeing what we were. Nothing to like, this is not a good place to stay when we rebooked our new villa it was evident this place was just the owner attempting to squeeze as much as he could from the property without putting money into it.
- Juliette (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely stunning location and very friendly staff! The hotel is surrounded by olive, lemon and orange trees and it's not far from the main town.We would absolutely stay here again.
- Jina (9/5): Wonderful stay overall - will return on next trip to Sifnos - Peaceful hotel premise, lovely pool area to lounge, soft sheets/comfortable bed and very lovely staff! Bathroom is quite small.
- N-s (8/5): We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our stay. But the wi-fi on Sifnos let us down. - Hotel and staff are excellent.
Unfortunately, the wi-fi on Sifnos is very poor (coverage and accessability) Wi-fi (see previous answer)
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabeth (10/5): We loved Sifnos and the Andromeda was the perfect place to stay. - The property is beautiful and our room was large and very comfortable.
Loure is a gracious host who cooked us breakfast every morning at the poolside bar. It’s difficult to see the entrance from the road.
- Nash (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nitzan (8/5): Very good - The property is beautiful and very relaxing. The breakfast by the pool was a really fun way to start the day The bed mattress was very very soft and uncomfortable. Also the shower pressure was poor
- Mariona (6/5): Pleasant - The location The swiming pool water was totally green, the breakfast could have been better (if you wanted a capuccino you had to pay extra money), the bathroom was really small.
- Sophie (10/5): A perfect island retreat! - This is our second time staying at Andromeda and it was just as lovely this time round! It’s like a little oasis away from the main town, but close enough to enjoy everything Apollonia has to offer. It’s also ideally located for catching a bus to the beautiful beaches of Sifnos.
The staff are just wonderful and more than happy to help you with your stay on the island! And the fresh breakfast every morning is a treat, definitely set us up for the day.
Can’t wait to return next year!!
- Neil (6/5): Pleasant stay at a small family-run hotel but be aware of some minor details before booking - First of all, the owners are lovely, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, the AC is working perfectly, and it’s always great with a pool! The complimentary breakfast is also nice. If you rent a car or scooter, you’re so close to the main town on the island, so it’s easy to have access to the nice restaurants and bars. There’s a small parking area at the hotel, so you can park your car there. It’s not one thing per se that’s not right, but it’s more the sum of several small things that you may want to know prior to booking. And for some of these things, the owners can’t really do a lot about. If the room had been set at a lower price point (say €100), most of these small things would be just that, minor details. But at this price point, it feels different. So be aware that during the day, there may not be running water for several hours (our local friend told us that this was a problem in this particular neighborhood). As the location is in a small valley, mobile reception is quite poor. WiFi is available but there was an outage one morning during our stay. Breakfast is included, but for coffee orders other than regular filter coffee, you need to pay extra. Drinking water is provided in a reusable bottle but you always need to ask a member of staff for a refill, who may not always be present, for example, at night. The mattress can be quite firm, but they do provide a topper if you ask for one. The mattress was listed as a queen bed, but it’s a bit on the smaller end of the queen bed spectrum. Some of these things can be easily alleviated, for example providing free bottles of water every day, estimating how many cups of coffee people drink per day and then raising the room prices accordingly but then offering the coffees for free, and investing in a mobile signal booster. Again, minor details when set at a lower price point, but they add up when the room is set at this price point.
- Stephanie (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely breakfast and very nice staff. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. Unfortunately the beds are very hard, making it difficult to sleep well. It is a shame.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional - A gem of Sifnos! It is hidden away but very accessible to all major spots of the island. Laure and Loic have created a place of wellbeing!
The pool and bar area have beautiful little touches to promote this, hammocks to pass away the hrs, guitars, board games, cocktails and breakfasts that have been made with love from locally sourced produce.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and have everything you need for a peaceful sleep.
As with all places though the people involved in the running of an establishment make the place for me. Their team are super friendly and professional, they have a great knowledge of the island which they are very happy to share. These recommendations can play significant roles in people's experiences and they helped to map out great days on the island for us!
I'm looking forward to bringing my children to visit to experience some of the magic!
Amanda
- Adi (7/5): Good - The location, the pool, the breakfast. Not enough water in the shower, bad quality of the mattress, the stuff wasn’t there most of the day, weren’t so welcoming.
- Matias (10/5): heaven on earth - very nice facilities, very clean, super nice and helpful staff, lovely breakfast, very nice setting, silent, great starting point to explore the island nothing
- Virve (9/5): Charming hotel with quiet location - Picture-perfect little hotel amidst a lush garden and close to Apollonia and hiking trails. The pool area is charming, and with the soaring summer temperatures, a dip in the pool was absolutely essential! Lovely staff and owners. More electrical outlets in the room and bathroom
- Shanthi (6/5): Pleasant - Welcoming atmosphere, great food, lovely setting, comfortable bed. Small bathroom without overhead shower, water was temperamental
- Martha (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing and unique stay - Everything was perfect, great central location but very quite and peaceful. easy 20 minute walk into the main town and with a scooter was ideal location to get anywhere on the island. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back. Nothing
- Verified traveler (8/5): Sifnos and reprise - This is a lovely hotel in Sifnos that lends a French flair to the Greek experience. Rooms are spotless, attention is paid to detail, and thw owner and staff are very helpful. Breakfast is quite good and the seving times reasonable. If I were to return to Sifnos, the Andromeda would be my first choice. The only criticism is the lack of security box in the rooms.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janis (9/5): Superb - Peaceful location, staff were all lovely very well owing and helpful. Glad we had a car to get around this beautiful island down a steep hill off the main road. No suitable for people with mobility issues. Walk into town was fine fir us but again it was 1.8k
- Beta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clarke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ioannis (10/5): Exceptional stay at Andromeda - Location: close to the road but quiet. Close to Apollonia
Rooms and architecture: lovely rooms, with individual front patio, and traditional Cycladic architecture
Pool!
Breakfast
Hosts: exceptional. Friendly and always there to help
- Maria (7/5): Good - The breakfast was good and very plentiful and was served around the pool and under olive trees from a very pretty bar.
Our room was bright and airy with a very nice seating area. It was extremely private and quiet. This is a tough one! We loved the setting. The hotel is set in a kind of ravine and is surrounded by ancient olive and pine trees with a lovely garden. The owners and management are French as were most of the other guests so you hear a lot of French. That, coupled with a scattering of French books and an area dedicated to playing Pétanque made us feel like we were on holiday in Provence and not in Greece. Nobody's fault, but it felt bizarre all the same and not authentic enough!
The shower room was nice and large but there were a few niggles. There was a recurring problem with the drop in water pressure. The tap in the wash basin was faulty. We could not get cold water so we were using bottled water for brushing our teeth. The owners were made aware and I believe will address the issue. There was no holder for the toilet paper and nowhere near the basin to hang a hand towel. More hooks are needed. There were a lot of empty or half empty shower gel bottles lying around. We didn't need them as we have our own products but the cleaners should have dealt with them.
The room could benefit from more storage or hanging space for two people.
- Panagiota (10/5): Tranquility and relaxation - The setting is amazing, quiet and inside nature. The rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast is full of fresh products. Moreover the owner and staff are always there and happy to assist! We will definitely choose andromeda for our next visit!!!
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siddharth (10/5): Exceptional -
- JOHN (10/5): - Very nice property. Well managed. Included breakfast was very good. Nice owner and staff. Very enjoyable experience.
- Ulrich (10/5): Highly recommended! - Beautiful hotel, very friendly owners and staff! Breakfast was delicious, especially the bread. The central location is ideal! Nothing
- Sharene (9/5): Really cute hotel close enough to town but far away enough from the bustle - Lovely part of the island, really cute spot just for the hotel among the olive trees. It's a nice little retreat but only 5 mins from the city. The hotel reached out before check in and helped let us know about car rental which really helped.
The beds are very firm. Usually I love this but on this occassion I was recovering from a back issue, they gave me a mattress topper which was very helpful.
Nice breakfast!
Really great value for the island, would love to stay again. The property and room was really nice but we got a slightly smaller room than we expected. I spoke to the owner about this later and they are looking into the images on the site so it's easier to see which room is being booked. The room still had very nice facilities and new bathrooms and beds.
We were on the lower ground where I think the property seems to gather a bit more dust just through the floor area through the front door. I've spoken with the hotel and they are looking into more cleaning or sealing for the floors. But the rest of the room was still very clean.
- Izabella (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Beautiful setting, breakfast under the olive trees every morning was wonderful. It’s a peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Constantinos (8/5): Very good -
- Tasneem (8/5): Clean and comfortable stay! - The property is located in a central location which made driving around the island a lot easier.
The room was comfortable, clean and spacious.
The hosts were very helpful and accommodating.
- Madeleine (10/5): Amazing- definitely stay here if you are visiting Sifnos !! - Gorgeous rooms and pool area. Breakfast every morning was delicious - various homemade options and lovely coffees. All the staff are so kind - thank you Laure for the best week! Nothing. Loved the whole stay!
- Aaron (9/5): Relaxing retreat with an authentic Greek town experience! - The owners were very friendly and the hotel had a nice relaxing get away type of atmosphere!
Great location for anyone wanting an authentic Greek town experience without too many tourists! The breakfast was good but I enjoy a carb breakfast so pastry’s would if been nice!
- Anonymous (10/5): A perfect calming spot to explore what Sifnos has to offer! - What a wonderful place to stay on Sifnos! It’s located in an ideal place, close enough to walk to the town and right by a bus stop to explore the island. Andromeda is such a calm and beautiful space and the everyone working there is so friendly, offering up lots of information on the best places to visit! Loved staying here and will definitely be returning!
- Benjamin (10/5): Excellent location to discover Sifnos - special thanks to our hosts to make our stay so lovely, great advice and kindnes - Emplacement
Calme
Authenticité
- Βαγγελης (10/5): Exceptional - really beautiful and quiet place !
- Nikoletta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful gem on the island. This small boutique hotel has everything you need to relax and enjoy sifnos..super nice owner and staff. With a great breakfast and love for details. The rooms are not that big, but cozy and comfortable decorated. The pool offers the perfect dip at warm summer days, surrounded by olive trees. If you want to feel like staying with a welcoming family, this is the place to be.
- George (6/5): Pleasant - The hotel had a very nice location if you have a car with you on the island. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and located under the trees on a large plot of land. There is also free parking on the premises which was convenient. The hosts - couple who runs the hotel were pleasant and polite throughout our stay. Although the rooms were generally clean, there were 1-2 instances when bad odours were coming from the bathroom especially during the night (probably from their sewage system). We had a small balcony which was pleasant but not very well kept as it was generally full of leaves and ants. The room was comfortable but small (minor inconveniences at the details eg. towels did not stay on the hooks, the mini fridge was very noisy, the water pressure when showering was weak, the complimentary shower gels were half empty (used) the first day and never refreshed / replaced with new each day) - we did not feel that there was a good value for money overall. We felt that the service we received at the hotel did not match the price tag for the 4 nights we stayed.
- Mark (9/5): Nice place to stay. Handy for local town but a car is needed to make the use of the locality, local town and beaches. Si - Pool area was very good. Staff very helpful. Not much that we didn’t like really. Small details like a waste bin in the room and possibly a safe in the room would have made the room perfect.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great apartments just outside the centre - The staff were 10/10, couldn’t be more helpful. The facilities were great, pool, bar, breakfast, games. The shower was a bit awkward, hand held shower head that kept losing water pressure. The location was just a bit too far of a walk to the centre for us but bus and taxi service was easily accessible.
- Juliette (9/5): A highly recommended hotel for a calm and rejuvenating few days - A wonderful secluded property set in a garden with a lovely pool area and nicely sized and decorated rooms. The staff were really friendly and kind. While staying there would be better with a car, having a bus stop right outside meant it was easy to get around or walk into town
- Olivia (10/5): Real snapshot of island bliss....grab it while it's pure - Gorgeous, personable retreat. Lots of cute spaces to relax and wonderful pool and bar to end the day Travelling with my daughter, i should have chosen the superior rooms for more space as double a little tight
- Fevrier (9/5): Superb -
- Claudia (9/5): Serene and lovely. - Breakfast was wonderful, all home made jams from the fruit of their trees. The atmosphere is lovely. Simple design with lots of shade, which was very appreciated in the heat. The showers are sit down with hand held nozzles, and the towels don't stay on the hooks, which was a bit awkward.
- Sophie (9/5): Superb -
- Cindy (10/5): Isolated and cost place to enjoy your vacation in Sifnos - We enjoyed Laure and Loic’s place for our holidays in Sifnos. The atmosphere is great, they and their staff are very welcoming, helpful and make guests feel comfortable and cosy. The place is very well located in the island, isolated from the roads and central to join every town and beaches. Very nice pool and pool bar and the cocktails are very good ! We could also enjoy the pétanque field, which is valuable !!we highly recommend and will definitely come back in the future if we ever come again to Sifnos
- Daniele (3/5): Highly overrated - Place is nice, rooms are clean.
Staff is kind but inexperienced. Breakfast is just awfull, anything you can buy yourself at the closest supermarket with a very limited choice.
Tiny rooms, most of the rooms are facing the parking area, only few rooms have nice view.
- Catherine (9/5): Relaxing friendly place close to the town and convenient for beaches - Very comfortable room, delicious breakfast spread, such friendly and welcoming staff. The owners, Laure and Lolo were great hosts and arranged yoga and massages for us. We liked pretty much everything! It would be nice to have a hook to hold the shower head but otherwise it was great. Be ready for the very steep driveway!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Very nice and helpful hosts and beautiful facility
- Dominik (7/5): Good -
- Giacomo (9/5): rejuvenating experience - Very nice facility and helpful staff! Great signature cocktail from the bartender the shower of my room
- Denise (9/5): Perfect Island Stay - The entire property is lovely and has a great vibe located just a short drive to the main town of Apollonia. Even better than the property itself is the staff and owners who are friendly, kind and make sure that guest's every need are met! I stayed in the pool suite which was large, light and airy overlooking the pool with it's own private terrace and would definitely recommend this room to others. This is the kind of spot that I'm happy to rave about and yet want to keep it to myself so that I can always find a room.
- Vlatta (7/5): Good -
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Batya (10/5): - Lovely property that was within walking distance to Apollonia and a bus ride to the beach/shore. It felt really unique (the property), the team was so nice, and the breakfast (including home baked goods like orange zest cake) was delicious. Thank you!
- Tony (10/5): A special and tranquil place to stay on a lovely island - Beautiful and peaceful gardens and pool area. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Didn’t want to leave. First time on Sifnos beautiful island we will be back and this would be our preferred place to stay All good
- Maxime (9/5): Superb - great peaceful garden, nice cosy rooms. great staff and owner.
- Ian (9/5): A great place to relax and unwind in a traditional & natural place - This place is truly a hidden gem immersed in nature , just outside of Apollonia ,about a 1.5k walk into the center . My wife and I had a totally laid back and relaxing time, An Ideal base from which to explore the island , either by foot or by car. Our room was great, very spacious and very clean The owner and staff ( Milo and Natalie) were great always cheerful and helpful. Great to start the day with a lovely healthy buffet breakfast ( local produce & Home made preserves & cakes ).
Nice quiet location with lots of outdoor space and good swimming pool with very comfortable sun loungers ! Not a huge issue, but wi-fi signal was not brilliant, signal strength was very poor, also difficult to get a good mobile phone signal which didnt help when trying to check in on line for Ferries etc. The owner was very helpful and was able help.
It was a nice advantage to be "Off Grid" for a few days helped with relaxation .
- Lola (10/5): This is definitely the best place to stay in Sifnos. - We booked at the last minute and what a surprise! We were very pleasantly welcomed by the charming owners and their great team. Everyone is smiling and caring. The homemade breakfast is delicious. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. All in the middle of an exceptional garden for an island in the Cyclades. In short, it is a real favorite, we will come back and we recommend that you do the same!
- Fatema (8/5): Very good -
- Robyn (9/5): Superb - We loved our stay here! The property was a great location and the staff were amazing - gave us lots of good tips for the local town and were friendly. The breakfast was lovely and local! We would definitely recommend.
- Greg (9/5): Beautiful, tranquil retreat close to Apollonia - This property is quite beautiful, set in groves of olives and pines in a protected valley. The room we stayed in was quite large, with a sitting area and comfortable bed. The well-maintained central pool is a welcome relief in summer. The breakfast around the pool each morning was exceptional. The young staff, Milo and Natalie were outstanding hosts. The handheld shower was terrible, combined with the lack of water pressure made for disappointing showers. The wifi was terrible.
- Rob (1/5): Bad - Really shonkey… I don’t recommend… not good I’m afraid…
- Andrius (9/5): Superb -
- Antoine (8/5): Very good - Nice hosts, cute place furnished with taste, nice pool area Bathroom with toilets a bit tiny
- Sarahbass (9/5): Superb -
