• Carmel (10/5): Amazing stay in a gem of a hotel - Definitely the hotel needs more staff especially in bar area as 1 person seems to have to attend the customers in restaurants and bar so you have to wait Plus was a nice young man who made us all fresh sandwiches on the Sunday night when we arrived back to the hotel late in the evening was much appreciated

• Carole (5/5): Adequate for our trip. - Room size was adequate. Super king bed very comfortable. Breakfast. Food only Luke warm and not very appetising. The fried eggs cooked to order were good. We booked for room and breakfast for two nights. Had breakfast on first morning but didn’t bother on the day we left.
• KEHT (8/5): Aging property. - Located right off of Pilgrim's Way. It was a natural choice when hiking the North Downs Way. The hotel has character, a bar, a cellar, and a restaurant. Bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and professional. There's some disconnect between staff on what rooms have been made up and ready. Room decor is showing it's age, especially bathroom. Noise from the road is pronounced.

• Natasha (8/5): Better than I had expected it imagined - It was spacious… clean and hired the cellar for my daughters birthday and it was exceptional The food was very good … high quality and the bed was very comfortable . Staff were helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay good Nothing really … it was a bit dated but I liked that

Key cards to room kept not working was annoying especially when in and out to get wedding ready.

• Robertson (7/5): - Well maintained exterior. Not being allowed in at 2pm despite arriving at 1:03pm when the room was ready. Of course, I was offered to chance to pay £10 for early access!! Listening to my neighbours. The walls are so thin I can tell you the male talked every minute he was awake. She rarely got a word in edgewise and only one of them showered in the morning. Too too much!

• Bernard (10/5): Quality room, great location, affordable price - The hotel is in an ideal location, on a local bus route 40 minutes from Gatwick Airport and 15 minutes walk from Reigate town centre. Megan at reception was very welcoming and informative, and gave me some helpful tips for how best to enjoy my short stay in the area. The room was warm and spacious, with a nice view and enough facilities such as Freeview and tea/coffee, while the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom was modern and had everything I needed. The double bed was actually a double mattress with two single beds, which was no problem for me, but might have been an issue for someone else.

• Mick (4/5): Highly disappointing - Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are outdated, room door did not fit the frame allowing the corridor light to shine through, walls are very thin. I was placed in a room at the top of a fight of stairs and heard all the foot traffic all night, people above were obviously practicing the river dance for a hour or so late on, then in the morning I was awoken to chairs and people talking loudly, only to find I was placed above a conference room which was holding a meeting which started at 7am, planning could have been organized better and all participants placed in the rooms surrounding the room, menu was expensive,

• Fiona (6/5): Solid 3 star stay - Location is excellent for Reigate town itself and also hitting the M25 or as I was doing driving to Chipstead & Coulsdon to see family Barman was very polite Chef at the Mother’s Day buffet was lovely Clean room upon check in. No lift. I had a very heavy suitcase and had to take it downstairs and upstairs by myself I guess I could’ve asked somebody to help. My key card got blocked four times in my three nights day, which is very frustrating. The receptionist instead of apologising just said did you have it too close to your phone? I stay in tens of hotels every year because of the amount of travelling I do and I’ve never had to get my key card renewed like this before! If they have an old system that means you shouldn’t have the key card in the same pocket as a phone they should make that very clear at check in. Room was fine after the first room I was given hadn’t actually been cleaned but they were very apologetic and it was quickly resolved so that’s not a negative against the hotel at all I wasn’t given any information about food for either breakfast or dinner. I didn’t even know if they could offer that until the third night when I saw menus in the lounge area. Room was clean, but the housekeepers should learn how to fold pyjamas instead just throwing them. I’m English, live in the USA, travel globally and have never seen clothes crumpled in a ball like I had at this hotel that’s just a quick two minute conversation with the staffing. Housekeeper also didn’t clean the mugs or glasses after my first night.

• Shane (5/5): Bad noise dampening - Lovely building There was a birthday party that was really loud and made it difficult to sleep due to the lack of sound-proofing in the walls and windows. The windows let in a lot of noise. Even the street noise was loud. It seemed like the windows were open when they were closed.

I felt it was over priced slightly as it didn't include breakfast. And they could've had more help behind the hotel bar as there were 2 parties there that night.
