- Madrid (8/5): Blame for stain that there not mine - That the front desk guy that was there is very cool and respectful try to help you out to the fullest of he ability thank you buddy for all your help. Well this time around I got blamed for some stain that I didn't do I am not a dirty guy like that and my guest isn't dirty like either but instead of giving the benefits of doubt the manager just tried to charge my card 200 dollars for sheets and pillows case that crazy without asking if it was us I don't sleep underneath the sheet just on top I take my own blankets and pillows true be told that hotel need to stay on top of house cleaners they only give give your room the sheet for you to change and you need to take your old one off and put them in a bag so I pay to clean my own room and they get paid to hand them to the guest crazy
- Martial Georges (7/5): Short drive to Joshua Tree - It’s the desert, so expect a visit from the locals—and by locals, I mean bugs (crickets, etc. 😊). We do a lot of hiking and camping, so we’re pretty used to it. It’s a bit harder to be positive about our stay overall, as it was the weekend and our neighbours were noisy literally all night. That said, the room itself was fine with a full size fridge and a kitchenette with a 2 hot plates & microwave. The desk staff were nice and helpful. Suggestion: pots and pans in the kitchen would have been appreciated, or at least a kettle would have been useful went you travel. Alternatively, it would be helpful to offer a box of kitchenware available to collect from reception for a small fee or deposit.

Furniture and decor dated. Not many people there, but there was one very loud family that you could hear because they kept their door open and kept talking outside even though it was cold out. Wtf?

Crawling into the room on the beds, underneath the sheets and in the bathroom. there were holes underneath the air-condition where crickets came in. I would hope they fix this problem soon. The rooms were priced at 120$ a night. Thats way too much for a cricket infested room They really need to fix the cricket problem. Fix the holes. Control the crickets outside.

I couldn’t get a good nights sleep because of it. No wash cloths or hand towels provided and the bathroom faucet was hooked up backwards. Hot is cold cold is hot.

I want to specifically recognize the night shift employee who was incredibly helpful; she went out of her way to find us another room at a different hotel under the same ownership. However, the plumbing in the second room failed the next day, and front desk staff told us to come get a plunger and towels to fix it ourselves. The maintenance and service from management are an absolute joke."

Per staff at check out it’s a “little to no amenities motel” which I did not know. It looked more like $50/night motel not $120.

- Utsav Sinha (uutsav) (8/5): Good Motel 6 equivalent experience, value for money - Stayed for 5 nights. The room had a microwave and a mini refrigerator. Clean and spacious room, there is a sink outside the bathroom. There is a shopping complex next door which has a grocery store open till 10 PM, it was useful to get some late night snacks. There is a restaurant in the other hotel in the same property compound where I had dinner once, it was ok. Housekeeping was friendly, I asked her for fresh towels when I saw her one of the days in the afternoon. Ample parking, I was able to park below my room. The check-in happens in the other hotel and the staff person was going in and out of the reception often, keeping me and other guests waiting when we had questions. I checked in around 8PM. No wifi instructions while checking in, you have to use the Best Value Inn wifi (no password) which had decent speed for mobile browsing, slow for streaming.

The wifi situation was a bit interesting. We had to connect to the wifi from the hotel next door, but the wifi connection wasn't the best. Our phones told us that the wifi from another hotel (not sure where that hotel was) was better, which it was because we firstly thought that was the wifi this motel used. The walls are also a bit thin. The person in the room next to us, had his TV on the whole night and we could hear every word from the TV.

- Joe (8/5): Best Bang for the Buck staying in Twentynine Palms - Haven't found a better deal than the Starlight Inn for our frequent trips to Joshua Tree NP. Have stayed many times before and the Starlight Inn continues to be the best deal for the price than any other place we've stayed at. We require only a clean and safe accommodation and the Starlight Inn fits the bill and is the best priced motel we've found which has us coming back again and again.

- Joseph (3/5): Used to be my go to accommodation in Twentynine Palms - The reason I have for the most part what keeps or should I say kept me coming back to the Starlight was and still with one exception is that it's clean, well priced, secure and with great wifi speeds. I tried to average one booking a month at the Starlight for it's vicinity to Joshua Tree NP and the price was $50+ a night and then all of a sudden it was raised to $80+ with no change in services, and if that wasn't bad enough the wifi on this trip was horrible. With the price increase I can see myself still booking at the Starlight although not as much as in the past and hope the wifi is improved on my next visit.

- Mendoza (7/5): Good - It was quiet. The accommodations lack essential amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and washcloths. Furthermore, the personnel at the front desk were unavailable, leading to an extended wait time for assistance. Additionally, I had not previously been requested to provide a credit card since my transactions are conducted online; however, I am now being informed that I must have a card on file.

- Sherrill (2/5): Very poor - Location They don't provide wash clothes, hand towels, shampoo, ice buckets, you have to go to the other property to get ice. The maid was terrible and very unprofessional not at all customer oriented. She started pounded on the door before 11 and told us we needed to leave that checkout was at eleven. I had asked for coffee for the coffeemaker but no one ever brought any. The walls were very thin. I heard every word of every conversation in the neighboring room. Not pleasant! Location was the only redeeming quality besides The person at the reception which is at the next door property was always very nice too.

- Crystal (1/5): Over booked and gave away my key card to multiple guests - Price only This hotel is so incredibly disorganized. The only thing it had going for it was price. I tried to find other alternatives close by but ended up booking multiple nights here. The hotel makes you switch rooms every time you check in for a different reservation if you book extra nights separately. They gave away my room I was in to someone else and the new guest walked in my room with their own key card while I was naked alone in my room. After checking into a room for additional nights the maid service just came in room 3 times different people each time to say I was supposed to be checked out and I had to tell them to go to front desk as I was fully checked in and not checking out for multiple nights. Then to top off my delightful stay. I had booked another 2 nights and the hotel informs me that they had been overbooked and that I would need to leave. So I had to scramble to find a room elsewhere and spend 250 in uber to drive me there. I do not recommend this hotel unless there really are no other options.
- Crystal (1/5): Over booked me and gave my keycard away to multiple guests - Price Overbooked and gave my keycard away to multiple guests that came into my room while I was naked. The maids just barged in and were not organized enough to know who was checking out and who had extended their stay. So I was barged in by multiple maids that informed me I had to leave because it showed I was checked out on their clip board. But I had checked in for additional nights. Also they have a bench by pool that I sat on and it flipped over and I fell hard on the cement. I told staff and not only did they do nothing about it they did not even put up an out of commission or warning sign for others. This place is the worst. But they are cheap so you get what you pay for.
