- Floran (8/5): Hôtel très bien placé et confortable - Personnel très à l’écoute et accueillant. Très bon petit déjeuner. Bon emplacement très proche du château et des rues commerçantes. Chambre propre. La chambre mériterait un rafraîchissement notamment le sol (moquette) qui s’effrite et est trouée par endroit, ce n’est pas très agréable de marcher dessus. La salle de bain également est vieillotte avec des grandes fissures dans le carrelage.
- CNicholls (8/5): Great spot if you're there for the castle! - The entry and lobby give off a grand, slightly retro feel, and there were plenty of helpful staff to service all guests. The rooms were generously sized, and the castle view room was wonderful. We didn't make use of the dining facilities, so unable to comment. Parking was a little tricky, being offsite, but no a big deal!

- David (10/5): Super - Mon séjour à l'hôtel était impeccable, le personnel est vraiment très accueillant avec les invités, un service au top de la part du personnel je ne pourrai rien demander de plus. L'hôtel en lui même est assez ancien, et donc les chambres aussi, mais très bien entretenu et cela ajoute du charme à l'établissement plus qu'autre chose. La qualité de la chambre rien à y redire dessus elle était très bien. Je reviendrais avec plaisir si jamais je repasse sur Kumamoto qui est une très belle ville. L'hôtel est très bien situé, a quelques minutes du château, entouré par des rues piétonnes commerçantes. Je recommande

Exceptionally close to many shopping arcades, department store, cafes, restaurants and the tram stop to take you to Kumamoto Station & other sights of the city. Gorgeous fresh flowers in the expansive, timber foyer. Fresh flowers in the elevator. Whole hotel gave a plush, 5-star vibe from the 1990s/ 2000s. We really liked our stay here & would definitely return again.

- Peter (9/5): Very refreshing stay - It is situated close to Kumamoto Castle. Unfortunately, the nearby food Stall Village around the corner closes every Tuesday. We walked a few steps away to the shopping arcade which is a pedestrian street to have our lunch. Staff were polite and very well dressed in smart uniforms. We left our luggage with the reception as we arrived too early for checkin. To our pleasant surprise, our luggages were waiting for us in our room when we returned. I managed to park my car at the hotel for a small fee. The room was spotless.

Worn out and dirty carpet, a bad small in the room. The bathroom was very old fashioned as well. We paid a lot extra to have a nice view on the castle. We were not on a high floor and couldn’t see the castle in a proper way. The staff didn’t speak English. Only one girl. We were at 9.00 for the breakfast (the breakfast was till 10.00), but they didn’t refill the food/drinks. Only one curry bread left, no orange juice, one of the jams was finished.
