Guest Reviews
- Warner (8/5): Lovely - Lovely location in a quiet village. You do need to travel to go to restaurants, but the nearby village of Vielsalm has several to choose from (about a 10min drive). The room we had, Valéry, was large with a seating area and small table and chairs. There was a kettle, microwave and fridge in the room (it would have been nice to know this in advance). The breakfast was expansive with a variety of meats, cheeses and pastries as well as cereals and yoghurts. We were even offered a glass of bubbly on our last morning which was a lovely treat. Not much parking available so had to be a little creative at times.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (10/5): - Wonderful !!
- Wendelien (8/5): Large rooms in quiet area with delicious breakfast. - Breakfast was very grand with a lot of fresh choices.
Coffee was the only minus, because it came from a machine.. Not very good espresso, too hot.
Great couches to launch on in the evening, with a big fireplace for the cold evenings ahead... Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we arrived on the friday evening. And the host had almost left the premises at 20.00 sharp, although we messaged and called a couple of times to tell them when we would arrive (we were late due to a punctured tire).
- reina (8/5): - Older facility in beautiful location, great staff & meals, easy parking.
- Anouck (10/5): The very best stay in the Ardennes if you want to enjoy peace, luxury, and a personal touch. - Third excellent experience, great breakfast, clean and spacious room, lovely bathroom, incredibly kind staff with a personal touch. Peaceful environment. No points for improvement
- Baltus (6/5): Pleasant - Not thevbedroom expected
- Katrin (3/5): All together I wouldn’t stay there again if not needed. - Nice landscape but that’s as far as it goes. I was full of expectations after reading all the good reviews BUT It was a nightmare as they are strictly French speaking. The house wasn’t too great. Every time somebody used his key, walked around, used their door or was talking it woke you up. Attended only for breakfast. Breakfast was great the first morning but Themas the left overs got served 4 days on the trot and on day 3 chicken sausage was off already and other food dried on the outside or hard ish. You never had peace at breakfast because the staff just pacing and clearing tables around you . They weren’t needed again so no need for this mega disturbing environment. On top breakfast was from 7:30-9:30 but they started putting everything away without making you aware of it at 8:45 and I had to get more for breakfast somewhere else. For check out I had to place the key next to their laptop as nobody was available at all. They had sort of a room service but they thought moving your stuff around is appropriate. It actually wasn’t. Came back on the end of the day and everything was moved around and touched all my personal stuff. They probably meant well but no way that I want people moving my clothes and private items around. Talking about around had to walk with kettle and microwave around in the room to find a working plug. My back was in half lifting the microwave around but sadly had to because no facilities for food around. No smoking corner or ashtray- people had to throw their cigarette ends on ground and that looked not nice at all because it was building up over the stay.
- Mohammad (10/5): best place you can get with this price - the place was so clean and equipped with brand new material. Fascinating classic decoration followed by an excellent breakfast with delicious tastes of locally made cheese made a unique memory for me

- Jan (9/5): very nice and worth repeating - The room was very nice and spacious. Coffee maker and stocked refrigerator were present. The breakfast was very nice and buffet very extensive with a very friendly service. The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. The glass see-through door in the toilet, no elevator
- Tatiana (9/5): A very relaxing stay in our favourite region in Belgium - It's been a very relaxing stay. Good room, gorgeous bathroom with enough supplies. Didn't have a shower curtain, but the layout was spacious enough that it didn't cause inconvenience. Gorgeous view, good breakfast with a lot of choices and unlimited coffee throughout the day. We relaxed a lot in the garden. Big parking in the back.
Friendly staff. The chef showed us around even though we arrived towards 10PM. Later we also met the hostess who was nice and friendly and took good care of us. 1. Squeaky floors. Whenever people in the room above ours would walk around, waking up in the morning or getting ready for sleep in the evening, we would be in for a squeaky stumping concert for an hour or so...
2. We couldn't find a menu in english online. We were picking the restaurant for dinner and wanted to see what options are there in ours, but only found the menu in french. For me it was not a problem, but i couldn't properly translate the dishes to my husband who doesn't speak french.
- Sebastiao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): Very good - Fabulous place. Gorgeous location. So peaceful. Fantastic value for money. Wonderful breakfasts. Fantastic dinner Sunday night with only 6 couple there and a personal service from the chef! Only French speaking, very difficult to communicate if you have no french vocabulary. Beds and towels not refreshed of room made daily. Cleanliness could be improved.

- irma van (10/5): - Uitstekend verblijf. Prima locatie, vriendelijk personeel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was excellent. The bed however seemed a bit dated.

- Shalini (8/5): Nice Hotel but no one speaks English - Our overall experience was good. Food was amazing, especially considering that I am a vegetarian and most places cant cook decent vegetarian food. Only thing that we found uncomfortable was total lack of english speaking staff. I would recommend them picking up at least a few commonly used English sentences.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - onbewoond hotel, we hadden gereserveerd om er s avonds te dineren, geloof het of niet de kok was ziek
- Uffe (8/5): god mad i Ardennerne - Dejligt to-delt værelse.
- Rene (10/5): Sfeervol hotel - Ga je voor rust een prachtig historisch hotel met fraaie kamers en een uitstekend diner dan is dit hotel in de Ardennen the place to be!
