- Antonio (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice apartment and near to both the airport and fira. Clean and with all basic furniture. If when you arrive you are worried about the parking don't be, because next to the church above there is plenty of it and it is just 3 minutes walk.

- Yogendrasinh (8/5): All good - Everything good just little far from main area. You have to do taxi all the time not possible to go on public transport All good
- Mateusz (10/5): Nice, cosy appartment to rest from crowded places - The appartment is cosy and was equipped with everything we needed right after arrival. It is located in a nice, calm town. When you rent a car (which can be parked in a nearby parking) it is a great base for visiting other, more crowded, parts of the island, allowing you to return into a peaceful place, nearby a wonderful restaurant, where you can gather strength for the next day. The owner is really friendly and will help arrange a taxi or renting a car. Staying here, contributed really well to our Santorini experience. Our appartment had rather poor WiFi range. It worked only when we were sitting at the terrace and even then it disconnected frequently. It wasn't not a big deal - for sending messages, and checking places on Google Maps it was enough and wanted to travel and take a break from social media, so the thing it blocked us from was backing up our photos in cloud daily - but if you plan to work here, or need constant interned access, better come prepared with a good LTE. I think other appartments might have better WiFi range, and I never assume that good WiFi is why I am renting an a room/house, but if reliable WiFi is important to, I'd recommend asking owners which rooms are closer to the router.
- Julien (9/5): Superb -
- Rosen (8/5): Unique, but could have also been better - It’s a unique budget-friendly experience in a calm town of the island with a gorgeous view of the airport, the sea and the other small towns and villages down the hill. The staff was very helpful, kind and warm and made sure we had a pleasurable stay. We asked for a baby cot, but it was given with spiders and cobwebs in it and with no baby mattress. There were female hairs everywhere perhaps from the previous guests of the place and the whole door on the bathroom was covered in them. The forks and spoons were used and with stains on them and still in the cupboard. Also, the sheets in one of the bedrooms had blood stains on a few spots.
- J.l (9/5): Breathtaking sea view, in the heart of Santorini - Clean, special cave apartment. Friendly staff. The apartment will was cleaned everyday during our absence about what we didnt expext. The highlight was the view out of the window/from the small terrace on the moonlight on the sea and the sunrise in the morning. The door and the terrace are directly at the footpath but there were seldom people walked by so it didn't disturb. Here You're in the heart of Santorini; not far from Fira, Oia, red/black beach, Pyrgos etc. You need to carry the baggage for a few minutes from the parking spot but it was ok. On an evening we found a cockroach in the bathroom, of course it wasn't nice but I'm not sure if it really was one, or was something else, because it only happened once. Otherwise the rooms were clean (and were cleaned everyday) and there was nothing.
- Serge (8/5): - A/C not working properly
Parking is a little epic
Mattres very hard!
Cleanliness was A1
Excellent service
Extremely well equipped
Great location
- Laans (10/5): Exceptional - Ivette was a very friendly and helpful host. Our unit was very well appointed, big and very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. It is well situated in the centre of Santorini but you need a car or scooter to reach the major tourist attractions. I can honestly recommend Morning Star Traditional Houses! Parking was a challenge and it was difficult to find the establishment at first but once found, all was well!
- Michael (10/5): - Very good.
- Ani (10/5): The best experience worth the price - Well organized, clean apartment. We had everything we needed. The hostess is very kind, helped us with some information. Apartment is located a little bit uphill, so the view was amazing. It has a huge beautiful terrace, very good to sit in the evening.
Just a tip: it’s very easy to rent quadricycle and is the best solution to move around the island, even to reach the bnb/kamari beach.
- Melissa (10/5): Traditional apartment - If you want to stay away from the noise this is a place for you.
- Tatjana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Biplab (10/5): - Transportation is painful.
- Gabbie (8/5): Very good - Restaurant on its door step if you don’t feel like going out and the view is exceptional. Unless you have a car you’re stuck in the middle of no where.
- Charmaine (9/5): Superb -
- Fadhila (9/5): Superb - Chriss is so helpfull
- Madalyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikoletta (9/5): Superb - Everything was allright the hospitality of the owner was exceptional.
- Liu (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms are large. Amentities are sufficient. We love it. We are three adults and a baby staying there. All so convenient for us.
- Leah (8/5): Stunningly beautiful, perfect place to get your steps in. - The house was incredibly beautiful! All we could of dreamed of. Nice shower, comfy beds, small
Kitchen that had everything we needed. Host was so accommodating. Helped us with transfers. Welcome gifts on our arrival. Views were out of this world. Great restaurants 30 Seconds walk away. We couldn’t of wished for more. We loved our stay. The walk up the hill was a mission, not for those that are not super fit. Thankfully we are. Walking down was easy, but back up was hard on the legs, so we got a taxi back up most of the time. Not to expensive €25 from Fira and €20 to the beach, Bus stop very close and only €2 where ever you go. Worth it though for the location, the views and the beautiful Greek house. We would definitely book here again if we came back to Santorini.
- Laurence (10/5): We really enjoyed it!!!! - Location is exellent, in a middle distance of everything. Quiet place with sunrise and sunset view!!!!!!
- Mangesh (10/5): Awesome stay @ Morning Star Traditional Houses - Very cosy and calm house. Very close to ferry port and airport. Location is little inside from main road but I believe that’s how it’s there in Santorini.
- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paris (8/5): Accommodation in Pyrgos - Location and see view. Is good value for money; lovely restaurant up there, welcoming and friendly staff. Would be great if you give a fresh paint! The rest is ok
- Melinda (1/5): Bad -
- Zaynab (10/5): Great place, hidden gem
This was a lovely homely house. - We loved the house, the location was peaceful and the view was great. It was between two very good restaurants and it was a very easy short walk to the Church and even to Pyrgos which was easy to walk to.
The house was clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. They had provided croissants and bread sticks, coffees and water. Toiletries and towels. Cleaning staff came regularly .Communication with the host was good and we got prompt replies. They were very helpful. A late check out was much appreciated. Exo Gonia is the perfect place to stay in order explore the island. There was nothing we disliked. It was great.
- Amelia (10/5): - This place was amazing it was the most beautiful little house with fantastic views. The place was clean, snacks, water, juice, coffee, tea provided an amazing touch. The location was prefect. Chris was super helpful from start to finish answering all our questions and arranging transportation for us and a rental car. I would definitely stay here again.
- Tammy (9/5): Very cute place with very nice host! - Host was very helpful & communicative. He scheduled our transfers to & from the airport. There were water & snacks upon arrival which were great! They had an iron, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, & packaged slippers available. Very cute place with nice views from the balcony. There’s only 1 mirror which is in the 1 bathroom so if someone is in there we have to wait.
The location. There were 2 restaurants nearby which one is very popular (Metaxi Mas) & need reservations. The other we didn’t need reservations & walked in. There’s nothing else nearby and the bus station is at least a 12 minute walk which we didn’t use because the website was confusing for us. Taxi to & from Oia was €45 one way at the time we went.
- Melanie (8/5): Very good - We loved the location. Beautiful views of sunrise coming up. Two lovely restaurants close by. Nothing comes to mind.
- Liam (8/5): amazing place and service -
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Location and layout was amazing, especially the roof to sit on Limited on cooking facilities and space to prep food but could still make it work
- Oscar (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was really good and Chris was here to help us for anything.
- Pryamvadah (9/5): Superb -
- Fumiko (10/5): Super nice comfortable stay! - Amazing view with superb bed rooms and all the facilities. Spacious rooms in romantic light and corner at main bedroom.
The restaurant walking in 30seconds is very popular and recommended hidden gem.
The church next to parking at top of the hill shines at night.
- Angelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alesandra (10/5): Exceptional - This place was so cute with the most amazing view! We absolutely loved our stay. The place was clean, the host left us some juice & breakfast snacks and was prompt in his responses whenever we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again! Nothing
- Arkadiusz (10/5): Exceptional - Big, clean, traditional apartment, wonderful beatiful view - owner is friendfull and very nice- we spend there 3 days - thanks for everything ! .
- Konstantinos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruno (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christoforos (7/5): Good -
- Mohabat (10/5): Traditional custom home in the real neighborhood. - George and Chris were very helpful. George met us at the car, helped to take the luggage and gave us tips about restaurants and places to go. Chris and George arranged for our transportation and ensured we had a good stay. We had a terrace and drank tea watching the sun rise over the ocean. N/A
- Fomchanka (9/5): Superb - We were met is was really nice ,because to walk is quite long and hard-thank you!nice and big cave 😀 a few steps up there is a famous restaurant 😀 we enjoyed much our stay )
- Jeroen (9/5): Superb - Very nice host. Clean WiFi is bad. It comes from another house and the walls are tick. However It is good at the balcony;-)
- David (10/5): - The property and host were great, it was a beautiful view and terrace to enjoy it. George was very helpful in anything we asked. The only improvement I would make is in the mattress, they were very hard and tough to get a good nights sleep. I would recommend anyone choosing this location!
- Judith (7/5): Great cave experience & amazing view, but be prepared to hike a lot! - The view was amazing! And the cave house experience was great! The access was very difficult, which was not told in the listing. It is on such a steep, narrow trail it cannot be reached by car. It’s a strenuous walk to get to where a taxi can meet you & much further to a bus. Ended up spending much more money on taxis than expected.
- Wai (10/5): great place to stay in Santorini not too crowded & easy to go round with rental car - cave like house , comfortable & fully equipped. easy to drive around with our rental car . owner is very helpful & react fast to our request 👍 Wi-Fi a bit slow
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation with a great view towards the village, the countryside and the sea. Value for money given the outrageous prices on the island. A big plus is restaurant Metaxy mas next door, which is one of the best on the island
- Keith (10/5): Great value, traditional hillside house with wonderful views. - Well provisioned traditional hillside apartment. Morning Star are very helpful hosts. Wonderful view, fantastic sunrises. Nothing. You need a car for this location. Morning Star very helpful in organising a rental car, and with arranging transfers to get to the location in the Santorini hills.
- Priyanka (10/5): Beautiful Property and location. - I loved this property. Firstly the manager George greeted us very nicely. He also arranged for a cab for us. The room was beautiful! The balcony opened to the view of the whole village and the ocean. I loved ExoGonia. Quiet and Quaint village. Enjoyed the sun rise every morning from the balcony!
- Grzegorz (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mohammad (10/5): excellent place to stay with family - clean good location well behaved and helpful authorities all good
- Mohammad (10/5): excellent place to stay with family - yes very cool place to stay with family
- Marlene (10/5): - This was a great stay; small local village, George was great for check in; met us in the parking lot and walked us to the room. Gave us information on places to eat (only 2, but his top suggestion was great!). We loved the view and the whole atmosphere and you can't beat the price. We would stay again.
- Francois (10/5): Very pleasant stay and the host George was exceptional. Very helpful and arranged a rental in double quick time - deliv - View and the location on the quiet side of the town. The fixed double bed.
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- María (10/5): Good location and beautiful place - The house is very cosy! It was very easy to retrieve the keys, the area felt very safe. It is far from the crowds but it was very centric for going to the beaches and xoras around the island.
The place was really clean and we were provided with amenities and things for breakfast. We would definitely come back!
- Kiki (10/5): Exceptional - Giorgos, the owner is very helpful, helped us with the rental car and gave us good tips for the island. You can always reach him via WhatsApp. The rooms are very clean and you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise from the terrace. Water, juices and even a small breakfast is provided. I would recommend renting a car (parking is just around the corner). Also, you should definitely eat at the Metaxi mas restaurant, which is 2-3 steps away from the hotel (the restaurant is very busy, so make sure to book a table). If I visit Santorini again, I will definitely book the same room again.
- Jan (10/5): Perfect and peaceful place - The house is really well equipped and clean, you can find everything you need during the stay. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Two terraces with beautiful view are amazing(great sunrise!!!). Owner is helpful and really friendly. You need to walk up 10 min from the nearest bus stop, but that is the price you pay for the beautiful view, so for us it was great.
- Karol (8/5): Very good -
- HAJI MANZOOR (8/5): - Close to the airport and restaurant.
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Julian (10/5): Modern Greek house in an authentic Greek location with views. - The host was amazing. He met us on arrival and showed us through the property that looked brand new! The cleaner was one of the nicest ladies we have ever met! Amazingly accommodating! It’s a serious walk where ever you go so you will need a car or be super fit. The local buses are amazing once you work out the stops. The cleaning lady was a super star and gave us a lot of support over and above what you would expect (we are physically fit so loved the hard climbs into the local village. (I would rate the walk as extreme on any fitness level).
- Jl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wai Tsun (8/5): - spacious clean living space, with plenty of useful household appliances and generous provision of food and drinks from the house owner, the host and driver was helpful with the late night check-in, except that the place is quite far from restaurants and supermarket without rental car for transport
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Ms Ana and Vera made our stay remarkable! Vera arranged car rental for us and showed us all the places to check out on our stay. Ms. Ana even brought over home baked cake bread one morning! After our day at the beach , we came home and our place was cleaned and restocked without being asked! We would have stayed longer if we could! The place is just so charming and the family really do take care of you! Would highly recommend !
- Juli (10/5): - We stayed in the Mario house. It was EXACTLY as expected in the photos! The house is between two restaurants which one is a very popular one on the island. There was 3 of us and we all had plenty of space. Vera was wonderful and helped sooo much more than we expected. Once we arrived she sat down with us to review the islands map and gave lots of suggestions! She was always a phone call or text away if we needed any suggestions or transfers. Room service came daily to clean up and give fresh towels, and one day we were left some DELICIOUS sweet bread! Only suggestion is to be aware you are in the middle of the island, so you will absolutely need a car atv or scooter. The nearest functioning bus stop was a 30 minute walk up or down hill. There is a stop directly next to the house, but a bus only goes there twice a day 7am and around 3pm. During peak season the island is extremely packed, so it is difficult to even catch buses any where from oia or Fira as they get packed. And there aren’t enough cabs on the island to support the population. We used transfers which became a little pricey. So get a car to save yourself from the transportation head ache. Overall, morning star was very much worth every penny! We felt like we were in an authentic greek home.
- Cat (10/5): - Tres bon accueil. Maison impeccable . Petits gâteaux ,jus d orange ..... de bienvenue. très arrangeante autant pour l arrivée comme pour le départ .
